Alderstripe nodded, it was always safer to bring more cats ,but he was confident enough in his own abilities that the idea of going just the two of then didn't bother him. "Sounds like a plan."

Darktalon's ears pricked at the sound of the Elder responding. She trotted back over to the Elder's den and once again looked inside. At first she saw no cat... Like before, but after a few seconds of searching she spotted Hushclaw curled up in the darkest part of the den "Oh hi! Sorry I thought that you weren't here... Sure I'll go and get the kits" she said eagerly. After finishing her conversation with Hushclaw, Darktalon ran happily back to Greycloud and told her that her Kits could stay with the Elder.

"hmmm" pondered Darktalon "Let's go to the silent stream then" she decided. Darktalon brushed her tail across Greycloud and walked over to the entrance of the camp. She yowled over to Greycloud's kits "You three" she said with a raised voice "go over to Hushclaw in the elders den whilst your mother is gone." she then turned and headed out of camp.

Once Darktalon had rounded a few small trees she set her corse towards the silent stream. She padded stealthily around small ferns and kept her ears pricked, ready to catch and hit that prey was nearby. They were halfway to the stream when she spotted a thrush a few metres away, taking a drink from a small puddle. She signalled to Greycloud to stop and crouched down into the hinting position. Carefully padding closer, she got within a metre of the bird when it saw her. It took flight emidietly, leaving Darktalon only a few seconds to react. She leap up into the air and snagged a couple of feathers on her claw, the bird faltered for a few seconds, but then steadyed it's pace and flew off. Landing back down on all fours, Darktalon muttered to herself "Foxdung!" and slunk back to Greycloud's side. "I was so sure I had it" she mewed less agitated and more amused by now.

"At least you caught it" said Darktalon, a merroww of laughter escaping her jaws. She surveyed the stream and spotted a patch of water that was darker than the rest. She knew that meant the water was deeper so she decided to try and fish in the deeper water. Sitting with her shadow facing away from the water, she studied the water. Small, unworthy, fish were passing by slowly. Darktalon sighed "well there's noting worth my time here" she mumbled to herself. Darktalon was about to stand up when a flash of grey caught her eye. Instinct took over her judgement and a large paw struck out into the stream. All at once a very large fish flew out of the water at a quick speed and Darktalon leapt forward and finished it off with one quick but powerful bite. Triumphantly, she rose from the ground and shook her catch. Trotting over to Greycloud a smile broke out on her face and her tail began to sway frantically behind her.
