Cedarthorn and Morningwind got in a few good blows before letting the rogues go. Scarlet gave Screecher a vicious bite on the neck before letting him go and backing away.
Rabbitfrost and Pineshadow helped support their leader into the camp, and then backed off to give him some space.
Emberstar gave Fernblossom a gentle lick on the head. "I'm okay," he meowed. "I was on a patrol with Scarlet and Rabbitfrost and rogues attacked us. I lost a life, but I have plenty more, so there's nothing to worry about."

"You lost a life?" Fernblossom yowled, looking him over once again. She wanted to storm away, anger and pain at Emberstar's willingness to die for the clan, but she refrained from that. The calico knew her mate didn't need that with all his worries. She simply sighed, giving his forehead a lick. He had all these burdens on his shoulders, and she didn't need to give him more. "Just stay safe for me, huh?" She whispered tenderly, her eyes soft and loving.

Emberstar gently nuzzled Fernblossom's head. "I'm not going anywhere anytime soon," he meowed. "I want to see our kits grow up and become warriors. I want us to be elders together."

[here's two really long forms. yike] || Aloeclaw || Female || Warrior || Aloeclaw is a cream tabby she-cat with amber eyes and a short tail that is slightly fluffier than the fur on the rest of her body. || Aloeclaw is obedient and holds Clan rules close to her heart. She is very social and can often be seen talking with other cats no matter the hour or occasion. She believes strongly that teamwork is an unbreakable force and thinks that everyone must do their part. She hardly ever takes risks and has strong and well-defined boundaries with what she will and will not do. Aloeclaw is very extroverted to the point that she sometimes cannot take a hint but apologizes profusely whenever she does something particularly upsetting by accident. She has strong feelings of loyalty toward others she has bonded with and believes she has good sense in her heart to never get involved in drama or betray her Clan. She is terrified of storms and water of any kind and has bad hearing, both to the point of hilarity. If she is ever to get a mate again, or have a similar dynamic, she needs someone who would make her step outside of her comfort zone. It would serve her well. || Appledew, mother; deceased/Father, Sootfur;deceased/Two sisters;unknown/One daughter || Aloeclaw grew up in the Clan. When she was young, her parents, Sootfur and Appledew, had an entirely seperate life from the rest of the Clan and the morals of loners, and they would fight and split multiple times. Aloeclaw had no siblings other than two sisters in a different area, a litter which had come from her father's bad habit of straying from his mate. She grew up as her parents' only target because of this.
Aloeclaw took many emotional blows because of her parents' inconsideration toward both her and their weakened relationship. When Appledew died in the winter, Aloeclaw's father took complete charge, and things got even worse. Sootfur arranged for her to become mates with the son of a loner friend, whose name was Blue. Blue got in many fights and had many conflicts and took out his anger on her, but she remained with him because she felt safe from her father with at least one person to defend her.
This was not a reality. Aloeclaw got in an argument with her father one day and Blue physically harmed her, giving her wounds to the side and tail. Soon after Blue and her father were kicked from the Clan, Aloeclaw had a daughter and named her Oakkit, now Oaktail. || Aloeclaw is open to both male and female mates. || @burglar || || Oaktail || Female || Warrior || Oaktail is a brown tabby she-cat with yellow eyes. || Oaktail is less extroverted than her mother and is no doubt less Clan-oriented. Growing up without both parents, Oaktail learned to be independent and was more self-sustaining than the other kits. Oaktail learned lessons from experience and was taught more by herself than her mother. Oaktail is one of the more shy cats in the Clan and yet, unlike her mother, is less of a square and does what she pleases. Oaktail has an unhealthy pursuit of romance at all times and always has one cat she's swooning over, causing an uneasy relationship between her and other young cats. Yet she is also not a fan of commitment and is overall confused. She has a negative outlook on things that makes her annoying at times, yet is charismatic in her humor. || Aloeclaw; mother/Unknown loners;aunts/Appledew, grandmother; deceased/Sootfur, grandfather; deceased || Though she didn't try to be so aloof, Aloeclaw was, and though she is ashamed of it now, often lost her patience with her kit and had a short temper. Oaktail has a seperate life from her mother and they don't communicate like a parent and child truly should. Oaktail was born and raised in the Clan and likes her life there, despite its flaws. || Open to both male and female mates || @burglar ||

"Good idea." Oakscar smiled. "You look like a apprentace on its first time out of camp!" ( i was late to the party so now Pebblefrost is reacting to the injured cats in camp, take a look at my last post xD ) Pebblefrost glanced over at Oakscar, seeing what the Tom would do, searching his expression for some hint of action. His fur was still on edge from the sudden shock of it all. Oakscar's overall expression didn't change but a subtle shift went through his face. "Injured cats..." he murmmered. "StarClan, this is bad..."

Emberstar gently nuzzled Fernblossom's head. "I'm not going anywhere anytime soon," he meowed. "I want to see our kits grow up and become warriors. I want us to be elders together." Fernblossom smiled faintly at that. "That's a nice thought," she purred, shaking her head a little. She knew that it was wishful thinking, Emberstar would have to be leader for the rest of his life. Cloudfoot glanced at the freshkill pile. It was empty, and the clan was desperately in need of food. He looked around at the warriors, wanting to choose the stealthiest to hunt. He grimaced; he would have to pick Pineshadow and Rosedusk for the hunt. They had never gotten along, as apprentices they had always competed, to the point of ending up in a badger set that he had to rescue them out of. "Rosedusk! Pineshadow! We need you two to hunt. Be stealthy and stay safe."

Pebblefrost felt he ought to give space to the injured cats, backing away from the crowd. His heart still beat in his chest like a woodpecker on oak.
Dawnpaw crept closer to the fray, spotting Mosspaw among the crowd. She saw her ear had an ugly tear in it. "Mosspaw..." she muttered, worry and fear in her eyes.

Mosspaw nuzzled the top of Dawnpaw’s head. “Don’t worry, everyone is going to be okay.” She wondered how her mentor and the other cats were doing. (I just bought Into the Wild again to relive my middle school days<3) (I've been rereading the books recently too. Brings back memories.)

Slitherfoot lead Rainfoot back to Sunclan camp. She looked around grimly, still feeling frazzled by so many rogue attacks. She was thankful that leaf-fall was bringing so many dried oak leaves.

Aloeclaw was in the camp and licking her paw with rapid strokes. She got up and looked around, bored— and she hated being bored. It was childish and stupid. But she was bored. She wanted to avoid wherever her daughter was, secretly, but did not think about it as she walked further into the camp. Oaktail was nowhere to be seen. She stretched her tensed muscles and paced around to soothe her stiff joints.
Oaktail was in the brush—deep in the brush. Hidden. Secluded with her thoughts. She liked time alone from the camp, from the buzz and drama. Besides, she felt that someone was always staring at her when she was in the camp. Perhaps it was Aloeclaw.
Oaktail did not think of Aloeclaw as a mother, but another warrior. She had no parents, and that was how it had always been. Aloeclaw was subconsciously registered as just a friend to her, not a mother. That was the reality of the situation, and she thought about it every day when she saw how happy and tame everybody else's lives were.

Emberstar padded over to the Highrock, but being too weak to climb onto it, he sat at its base. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here for a Clan meeting!" He called.

Emberstar padded over to the Highrock, but being too weak to climb onto it, he sat at its base. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here for a Clan meeting!" He called. Pebblefrost, still slightly shivering, walked forward and found a seat before the leader. He licked at his pelt nervously. Dawnpaw looked at Emberstar, horrified by how weak and beaten her noble leader looked. It struck fear into her. She glanced at Mosspaw, then back at Emberstar, before joining the clan in front of Highrock.

Aloeclaw looked over at Sheepwhisker, who was near the front, and nodded her head at him in a friendly gesture. Oaktail waved her tail at Amberpaw, who was close to her age, both of them young.
Then Aloeclaw looked up at Emberstar. What was it about him right now? He looked almost feeble. Like he had been defeated in battle ten times in a day. It was the look an elder had after exerting themselves too much. Aloeclaw felt weird, concerned, and sort of even terrified all at once. He had lost a life. Oaktail, on the other paw, didn't notice.

Whisperfall, not wanting to leave his side, sat very close to Rainfoot after they heard Emberstar call a meeting. She was unusually quiet and Rainfoot made a note to talk to her about it later, for now he chose to wrap his tail around her for comfort.

Once the Clan was gathered, Emberstar looked around. "Most of you have already heard about the rogue attacks today. There were two separate attacks. Luckily, this time, everybody came out alive. However, these rogues are a true threat to our safety. We need all of the warriors we can get. Scarlet approached me and asked if she could join SunClan, and I have decided that I will accept her as our newest Clan member. Scarlet, please step forward."
Scarlet looked up in surprise, then stepped forward nervously.
"Scarlet, from this moment on, until you have earned your warrior name, you shall be known as Scarletpaw. Cloudfoot, you are without an apprentice now that Speckletail is a warrior. You have experienced tragedy and you have gotten through it bravely. Pass on everything you know to Scarletpaw." Emberstar gazed at his deputy, then at the new apprentice.

Aloeclaw looked over at Scarlet and was reminded of Blue. Rogues did not please her and nor did their presence in the Clan. But she would have to be tolerant. Aloeclaw put on a smile. Oaktail looked at Scarlet encouragingly and saw something in her that she recognized in herself. The she-cat looked nervous as she was accepted into the Clan.

Rainfoot looked over to the medicine cat apprentice, and sighed. He made a mental note to speak with her as well. So much had happened today, and it’s barely begun. He figured he’d go to the medicine den before going to sleep. Whisperfall would make him go anyway.

Emberstar waved his tail to dismiss the meeting and padded back over to Fernblossom.
Peachpaw trotted over to Scarletpaw. "Scarletpaw! My name is Peachpaw!" She waved her tail at her brothers who were following her. "These are my brothers, Lynxpaw and Waterpaw. Come with us, we'll get you settled in to the apprentices' den."
Scarletpaw nodded gratefully to the younger apprentices and followed them.

Aloeclaw wondered when she'd get an apprentice. She was over 20 moons old and thought she deserved one by now. She was young, but looked scarred and old, as though middle-aged. Her coat was smooth and worn, like it'd been through much wear and tear. Aloeclaw knew she'd be a better teacher to an apprentice than her own kit. She snuck a look at Oaktail, who seemed happy and content.
