(Yep... Struggle. All aboard the struggle bus!)
Oakpelt stood up and grabbed his prey. He started leading the way back to camp. He wondered how Willowmist was doing. As his mind wandered, he didn't realize how far behind Smokepaw was.
Smokepaw quickly snatched up his prey and ran to catch up with the other two. Then he remembered his muddy pelt. He spotted a large clump of grass. Darting over to it, he dropped his prey and rolled around. As soon as he got most of the mud out, he stood up and picked up his prey. Then he realized, he was far behind!

Oakpelt shook his head and stopped thinking about the she-cat. He was about to say someting when he noticed the two apprentices were gone. Oh no.... he thought. He walked back along their scent trail and looked for the two.
Smokepaw walked along the scent trail the others left and sighed. How could this happen! Why did I have to clean out my fur.... he muttered in his head. Trudging along through the undergrowth, he actually found it nice. It was peaceful with some birdsong. He sat down and listened to the birds sing.

Smokepaw jumped and let out a startled new. "Urm.. I was cleaning my pelt and got lost. I decided to just stay put in case I got even more lost." he lied. He didn't want Skunkpaw to know that he was just listening to birdsong and getting lost in thoughts.
Oakpelt ran along the trail until he spotted the two apprentices near a cluster of big trees. "I thought we were going to camp? Are we not." he mumbled to the two.

(Dang xD maybe you should suggest that to Rabbit to add in c: ) “Ah that explains it.” Mistywing mused. She wrapped her tail neatly around her paws. “Apprentices must be a pawful.” She chuckled as she watched a few pairs of mentors and apprentices coming and going from the camp. The she-cat had yet to be a mentor herself but was in no rush either. “I just got up from a nap myself and was about to head out into the forest, maybe hunt or just walk.” She said with a casual shrug. “Are you gonna sleep some more?” Mistywing asked noting he seemed a bit tired. “I’ll leave now if you want.” "Hey Mistywing and Proudfalcon!" Stormflight called, heading over to the two cats. "Do you two want to go on a hunting patrol?" The dark gray tabby asked the both of them. "On second thought, maybe Proudfalcon should just rest." She meowed, looking over him. Her amber eyes gleamed amusedly as she took in the tom's state.

( I went to bed xD my night owls days don't happen often anymore. I used to roleplay until 5 in the morning and then wake up at 11 and do it all again. ) brambleflight @pinacolada
Proudfalcon twitched his whiskers in amusement and nodded, absently as he watched the various apprentices scramble around. Some were leaving camp with their mentors and while others were resting in the shade. He briefly wondered if they were going to be ready to see their first snow, most of the apprentices were born in green-leaf. Proudfalcon hmmed and pushed himself to his paws, the large tom stretched out his paws in front of him, arching his back to help relieve some of the stiffness.
"A walk does sound ni-," he meowed although he was cut off as Stormflight bounced over. The dark brown tabby shook his head at Stormflight, "Ha ha, so funny," he muttered under his breath as he shot the dark gray she-cat a look. "I can go hunting," he meowed and his gaze flickered towards the fresh-kill pile, "We are going to need some more prey soon anyway". He frowned, so far the leaf-fall hasn't been horrible although Proudfalcon was waiting for the prey to start hiding.

(pinacolada, did I miss a post? I might've. But, here is this anyways...)
Specklepaw nodded to her mentor and stepped back a few tail-lengths. She then darted forward and kept low. She barreled into him and pummeled him with her paws a few times. Then, she stepped back and sat down. Licking paw, she looked at Cloudfoot.

"You frown a lot." Stormflight meowed, a bit bluntly to the tom, her fluffy tail twitching mischievously. The tom was always so serious and moody. She in contrast, was always impish and playful. The pretty tabby led the way out of camp, smiling. This reminded her of the times they used to patrol together as apprentices, always sparring and arguing.

Smokepaw smiled awkwardly then stared at his paws. Shuffling his paws, he started mumbling "I'm sorry" over and over again. He stood up, picked up his prey, and started heading towards camp.
Oakpelt sighed and slowly shook his head. "We should go too." he muttered. Picking up his prey again as well, he padded after Smokepaw.

Proudfalcon rolled his eyes at Stormflight's words and swished his tail. "You should frown too," he meowed smoothly, "It's leaf-bare and the fresh-kill pile is ridiculously low". Although he figured that would be solved soon once they went on their hunting patrol and caught some prey. He leaned over towards Mistywing, "She is bossy, isn't she?" he whispered to her, twitching in whiskers in amusement before trotting after Stormflight.

Stormflight's eyes flicked over to the pair. "I heard that!" She huffed, pretending to be offended. "And you're one to talk," She continued, rolling her eyes, "You're always brooding and so argh!" She padded next to Mistywing, nudging her conspiratorially. "I'm so much more fun!" A rustling in the shrubs nearby caught her attention and she became very still, reverting to her more serious side. She peered through the undergrowth, finally spotting a brightly colored finch hopping on the ground. She carefully crouched, watching her paws so they wouldn't give her away, and jumped, killing the bird neatly. She carefully buried it in the sandy dirt, and went back to the group.

Cloudfoot gasped for a second, recovering from the wind getting knocked out of him. The fluffy white tom slowly got to his paws and beamed a proud look to Specklepaw. "You....pack....a good...punch," He slowly meowed out, approval evident in his gaze. "Keep doing that, and you'll be the strongest warrior here."

Specklepaw blinked slowly and smiled. She liked being praised. It was her way of believing she was useful. She purred and looked at him with kind eyes.

"Of course. Just follow me." Lionfire grinned, flicking his tail as he padded towards the entrance. He glanced back at Sandpaw, before trotting through and out.

"Hi, Fallenpaw," Cedarpaw purred, giving her a lick on the ear before turning to his mentor. "Are we going out training?" He asked Russetgrowl.
Lynxpaw reared up and slashed with his front paws, finding it natural.
Peachpaw crept up on the mouse and pounced. She pinned it down and killed it quickly.

"That was great!" Fernblossom purred, touching Peachpaw briefly on the shoulder in approval. "You learn very quickly." She quickly got her vole that she caught earlier. "Let's take these back to camp. You can brag to your siblings about it tonight!"

</div>(I just added a list of members and their characters - thanks for the idea. Sometimes, when I remove a person due to inactivity, I forget to remove their characters from everywhere they are mentioned, such as how I had Slatepaw listed as your apprentice by your character, but not in the Mentor/Apprentice list. I did remove Slatepaw, so Proudfalcon does not have an apprentice currently. Sorry for the confusion! I will try to be a little better organized in the future. )

( Thank you! <3 We have so many people in this clan and it's so confusing to find people sometimes with all the descriptions and cat images. And you are fine, managing a clan is no picnic. c: it's so stressful and there is a bunch to record ) Russetgrowl stopped and observed Fallenpaw and Cedarpaw. "Yes, we need to something done before the day is over," he meowed to Cedarpaw. It has been awhile since he went out with Cedarpaw since the young tom would usually join a hunting patrol or tag along with another mentor. "Say goodbye to your girlfriend," the brown tabby laughed.
Sandpaw nodded her head quickly before scrambling after the large tom, keeping close to his heels so she wouldn't lose him.

Creamwhisper gave an approving glance to her apprentice. "Good! You're a natural." she purred. Lynxpaw really was a fast learner. She nodded and sat down, curling her tail around her paws.

Once sure that Sandpaw was with him, Lionfire kept moving. He kept the pace steady but fast, occasionally looking over his shoulder to make sure the she-cat was keeping up. Lionfire, despite his size, was fast, probably due to his longer legs. Plus, Sandpaw was smaller than him which meant it was easier for him to stay ahead. He lead the apprentice deeper into the forest, before beginning to pad uphill. Once the cat had reached the top, he stopped. The forest was a little thinner in the higher part of the territory, and he knew for a fact that there would be enough space for battle training here.

Ivyriver twitched her whiskers as she headed towards the small clearing. She hoped that no other mentors were using at the moment but if someone was there, they would just have to make do. Ivy glanced at Whisperpaw and gave her a soft smile, "Don't worry, you will get the hang of it soon," she encouraged. The dark tabby she-cat come to the stop as they entered the clearing, "I don't expect you to be perfect at these," she meowed as she turned to face Whisperpaw, "I would like for you to be able to do it efficiently, especially if you are appointed to hunt in this type of terrain". Sometimes deputies didn't take into account that not all of the warriors were efficient in some areas when they sent them out on patrols. Whisperpaw nodded, glad her mentor was very supporting and not mean about it. "Just efficiently, not expertly. I can do that" Whisperpaw agreed, hyping herself up to get pass this difficult part. If she didn't think to hard about it, maybe she'd get it right this time. Swing the clearing ahead, she bounded forward and dropped down into her hunting stance, determined.
