(All I can think of is like the natureish character I mentioned on the planning page. Control over plants and communication with animals. Idk it kinda sucks but it's an idea?)

All of those sound super cool haha- I think something that would set the character apart from the others would be voice imitation, or the nature idea. Both of those are nothing like what the others are, and can do things the other characters could not do with their own powers!

& i think the voice imitation or nature idea sound sweet! like mystic said, they're the most unique and they'd definitely have good uses in terms of the plot later on too ]

(Sorry for the late reply, I just got off work. And yes I'll be up for that! I like the voice imitation idea. Perhaps we could take it a step further and add language imitation as well? It would be good for an infiltration type character)

I'll write up a character for the front page. ]

[ yeah we can hold it up a bit, especially since we have a new character coming in that we have to integrate. ideas today, rp tomorrow, and you'll be back when we have momentum to start something. We could always start the breakfast while you're gone, since that's not a huge deal ]

(Before I post, just wanted to ask, would other "sound based" powers be involved in this ability, like a cry for example? Just wondering as the title is "Siren", and that came to mind as a Siren-esque ability. c: )

He liked to call them ghosts. To Hunter Brennen, that's all the guards were. Specteres that floated through the hallways at all times of the day. Whether he slept or whether he was awake, he was haunted. He had quickly learned his abilities, and how to make use of them for a potent effect. He had always been quite a diplomatic fellow, Hunter. Always calm, amicable, never making enemies. Which made it quite the shock when he blew out a guard's eardrums. They hadn't quite liked that. Beat him black and blue over it. And then, the man, who looked to be as much a doctor as Hunter was a football player, had placed the device around his neck, right over his vocal cords. It didn't hurt him. Rather, he found the monotone hum that emanated from it to be a pleasant companion to his days of solitude. What it did do was muffle his voice. He could no longer scream, or even speak at a normal pitch. Everything was a whisper. It made it doubly jarring when anyone spoke to him. Almost as if he were slowly going deaf. That was when he had discovered other characteristics of his abilities. Voices. Languages. They came almost naturally after the procedure. He had never really been one to do accents or voices. But after that incident, it almost became a hobby. Which voice could he pick up the quickest and how could he utilize it? He also found that if he learned enough about a person, he could mimic a voice he had never even heard, to frighteningly accurate results. Then, it became a psychological game of how far he could torment his captors. Take on the voices of those they loved, until even his regular handlers grew to fear and hate him. He had never been a fighter, but this became his strength. Words, not fists he found to be his most effective weapon.
An all too familiar clang resonated against the bars of his cell. During the early days, Hunter used to jump awake in a panic at the sound. Now, it was simply another sound in an endless cycle of his imprisoned existence. He opened his eyes slowly, on purpose, staring up at the dingy lightbulb that kept his cell lit. He wasn't considered dangerous, like some of the other poor souls who shared his fate. Rather, he was considered one of the weakest, and the easiest to control. No doubt this was why the examiners were confused when guards practically broke down, saying that they would rather quit than handle him. He grinned darkly at the concrete ceiling. Words held power. Hunter's cell was about half the size of a standard college dorm room. A rickety bed pushed against one end, a single shelf for his extremely few personal effects. Metal sink and toilet pushed against the back. He hadn't even been granted a mirror to use. After so long, he didn't even remember how he looked.
"Up." A voice commanded bluntly just outside the bars. Only the most iron willed guards handled him now. He was disappointed that they finally found someone who wouldn't quit. "You have 30 seconds." The voice followed up. Hunter sighed and slowly got to his feet, stretching out his cramped muscles. Only a madman would consider that bed a comfort. Most days he preferred sleeping on the floor. Now then, what was this ghost's name? Ah, that's right -- Adrian. Adrian had a daughter. A little 10 year old girl.
"How are you going to hurt me today, daddy?" The voice of the guard's daughter wafted through the bars in all of it's chilling accuracy. The guard paled, but to his credit, he didn't flinch. "Shut up." He retorted. Hunter just grinned, gaunt blue eyes staring through the bars. "You're so mean, daddy....how could you do this to me? You said you would protect me!" He taunted, slipping into the ratty cloth shoes. "Not. Another. Word." The guard growled through clenched teeth. With a beep, the cell door slid through the side. The guard grabbed Hunter roughly and handcuffed him, before leading him through the hall. "Where are we going, daddy?" Hunter asked, yet another perfect mimic. It was his only entertainment, and he planned to carry through with it. The guard chose not to reply, and instead shoved him faster down the hallway. "Booooring...." Hunter muttered, in his normal voice. It only came out as a whisper, of course, so it was impossible to tell if the guard hadn't heard him, or was just choosing to ignore him.
Finally, the hallway came to an end. The door opened, and he was placed in what appeared to be a cafateria, with a table full of several other captives. The guard shoved him towards them, eager to be rid of him. "You're a freak. I hope you die in an accident." The guard told him by way of farewell. Hunter simply responded with a wide, self-deprecating smile. "I don't know what you're talking about." He replied, this time using the guard's own voice. The guard just scowled at this and unlocked his handcuffs, before stalking off. With his source of entertainment gone, Hunter turned to look at his fellow prisoners while rubbing at his wrists. It had been a long time since Hunter had seen other people. Well, other than the ghosts, of course. But they didn't count. He made his way over to the table. "Hello there." He greeted cordially with a smile. He wasn't sure if the smile on his face was genuine or not. Years upon years of presenting the same, blank smile to the guards had led to him forgetting how a real smile actually looked. He couldn't see himself, after all, and the guards certainly never smiled. At this point, he wasn't quite certain if the expression on his face was a smile at all, or more of a pained grimace. "I'm Hunter." He introduced himself.
(Let me know if everything looks good!)
