mkay! basically, before, jake came up and had an encounter with the mutants early in the morning. now, the mutants are having their first team breakfast (it's still early in the morning) and are all going to the same cafeteria-like room (if you read the replies on the previous page you should be caught up) the plan is that after the breakfast, they'll have a team-building training session where they fight a big robot or something, and jake is watching
edit: you could just say your char was asleep during the earlier part

"Kaede Osborne" - - - Jasmine shook her head against Oscar's persistence that their meeting was by his hand, but still was amused by it. She sent a quick greeting Kellan's way after he introduced himself. She was about to do the same when the door admitted yet another mutant. She couldn't help but to stare over Kellan's shoulder as he approached. His pink hair and large, dark glasses only added to the horror of the chains: around his neck, his hands, his legs. What kind of power must he have to submit to that treatment? The rest of them were completely freed --well, as free as they could still be within the complex-- but this man looked more constrained than when he was in his cell, and that was saying something.
And then he spoke. "Apologies for barging in on your conversation. Please, are you willing to give me your names? I am Torrian, by the way." Another voice from this morning. Jasmine linked the names to the faces, adding "telekenetic" to Kellan's page in her mental notebook.
A fourth beep. After Torran's gaudy entrance, this man's was tame. His guard didn't even step in the room. No need, he hadn't even been cuffed. His lack of constraint was just as confusing to Jasmine as Torran's extra constraints were. "What's going on?" the new man asked as he joined the group at the table. Jasmine shrugged. She glanced to the speaker in the corner of the room. It, too, had yet to give them any hint of the reason they had been gathered like this. "So no one has been told why we're here? And why we've missed breakfast?"
She hardly needed to ask. The mutants rarely had any information on the scientist's plans. They were hardly even spoken to unless to be commanded to attempt this or that or show the growth of their mutations to groups with clipboards and white coats. "I've just arrived less than two weeks ago, so I apologize for not knowing your name," she directed this at the newcomer. The other three had sent names in passing or introduction. "Anyways, I'm Kaede. The Invisible Woman."

heyo, welcome aboard! the last page is really everything to be caught up. There was a bit of drama, learned some backstory. It's an interesting read and shouldn't take that long to get to where we are now, there's only maybe. . . 15ish rp posts from that bit?
and semi-successful mash up. I'm passing the torch for someone else to do the integrations next time. xDD

Oscar Liss ❝ My name is [Oscar Liss]. I am an Aquarius. I enjoy sunsets, long walks on the beach, and frisky women. And I did not kill anyone. ❞ Telekinesis? That was cool, and he guessed it made sense. The only other possibility would have been, like, super strength for throwing his bed. And too bad about the collar thing; if he knew a way to get it off, he would have, if only for the sake of seeing more sick table throwing. He didn't have time to comment on it, of course, before the door beeped open again and a very constricted man walked-- or rather, shuffled-- in.
"Oh Grandpa, what handsome face you have!" Oscar teased, though the sunglasses were obscuring most of it. He briefly wondered if the guy needed help getting over, but then he figured he was too tired to force himself back up. The least he could do, however, was give the guy-- Torrian, hadn't he been the other one talking to Little O'Malley?-- his name. "My name's Oscar, but you can call me anytime," he introduced himself. Wait, they didn't have cellphones, so, on second thought, they couldn't call him anytime.
Oscar was not surprised when he heard the door opening a third time, and yet another mutant stepped in, but this time it was one he didn't recognize. "No cuffs? How come I don't get that special treatment?" Maybe the guards didn't trust him not to get handsy. He approved of their distrust. The newcomer, however, was cute; he'd recall a face like that if he'd seen it before. "Like I said, I requested a date with all of you. I'm pretty sure that's what's going on," he assured Kaede confidently.
"Now, Kaede, what I'm wondering is can you go invisible for us? Do your clothes go invisible or will you have to strip those off?"

small post is small
Felix Halloran Of course nobody knew - it was a fruitless question. The scientists had never given them much of a routine to hang on to in the first place; they were at the mercy of their whims and irregular schedules.
"Oh. Uh, Felix," Felix replied, blinking at the young woman's unfamiliar face and trying to commit it to memory before glancing around at the other two once more. Even if they never saw each other again, it would be nice to put names and faces to voices. Even if they never even got to speak directly to one another again either. "The... Tiger... Man? Shapeshifting," he clarified quickly with a small, awkward smile. Invisibility - that's was... certainly an interesting one. Actually, it seemed like quite a risk on the scientists' part, come to think of it. You've sort of shot yourself in the foot if (or when) you lose your Invisible Woman.
To Oscar, he didn't really have an an answer. Well, actually he did; it went along the lines of because there'd be an inevitable sexual harassment at work lawsuit? But he kept that thought to himself. And really, there was something likeable about his attitude. You know, likeable in that 'Apply Fist to Face' kind of way. Instead he just gave a tiny little shrug. The lack of constraint felt almost a little uncomfortable when Torrian was there chained like a beast. What on earth could he do to warrant such drastic measures?

Julian Noel Andreasen ♢ ♢ ♢
When Julian Noel Andreasen dreamt, there usually was a canvas of black that swallowed him whole, like shadows yawning over a lost child in the busy streets of a flourishing capital, or plumes of smoke unfurling around a falling blue bird. This time, however, at this very moment, the same corridor lead him to a door. It was an oddly shaped thing, and its surface was a map of wrinkled lines that piqued his interest. It was the nature of humans to see what was beyond the layer that kept them in the dark, after all, and this door had certainly brought forth Julian’s curiosity. So Julian did one thing that seemed to be justifiable in the dark corridor his subconscious mind had conjured: he (with some difficulty, despite his somewhat well-toned physique) yanked opened the door, as it refused to budge with a simple tug.
What he had forgotten was that sometimes, certain doors were not meant to be revisited, especially those of the past, for when Julian Noel Andreasen opened his eyes again, he was covered in black ichor and sprawled over a stack of corpses. There was a pungent, vile odor that permeated the thick, burgundy air and sharply penetrated his nose. It took every ounce of his will to swallow the bile that rose in his throat, and he felt a wave of white pain flood his body when the corners of his vision cleared. The pain that pulsed through his veins was frightening because he could not distinguish where it was coming from. All he could do was understand that he’d been mortally wounded, and that was that.
It was just then Julian was abruptly hauled back to the world, which was blurred and mixed with different colors from his unclear vision. His head felt as if it were filled with fog, like those that wreathed the crooked alleyways of a city, and he groggily blinked to see just what or who had thrown him against the wall. If he’d been a little younger, a little more naive like he’d first been when he’d arrived in this saintforsaken place, a curse would’ve slipped out of his mouth as he’d rubbed the back of his head. Now, however, he knew better than to let any words leave the tip of his tongue, especially since the guards didn’t take too kindly to “his species.” As his world slowly started to return to lines and shapes and precise colors, he dragged his hand through his tousled inky black hair, which had already intertwined with his dark lashes, and heaved a small sigh. He wished that he’d seen a different dream — it didn’t matter if it was childish or not. Anything but the one he’d just had. Perhaps one where he was outside of these walls once more, as a leaf that’d caught a drifting wind and was soaring across swaying grass and trees and running water. Or maybe those dreams he’d had as a youth, when he’d been no older than twelve, seeing different scenes and ordeals unravel before his eyes. In his nightmares, there had been a time when a pack of zombies had been chasing him, and a time when he’d been stuck in a massive basement that’d been filled with monsters and traps. But those were realities his mind had conjured — and realities that he could escape when his eyes opened. This, however, he thought as he took in the familiar, constricting gray walls, was not something that would disappear or simply linger in the back of his mind before fading. And the atrocious food they delivered here. Goodness, Julian had never tasted cardboard, but if he had, he was certain that it would taste like that.
“Keeping silent again, are you,” he sighed when the guard at his door, who’d just thrown him to wake him up (was there no other way for this man to wake him up than to toss him around as if he were some sack of potatoes?), impassive and stone-faced as usual. “All right, fine,” he muttered underneath his breath as he felt the cold, metallic surface of the cuffs being clicked around his wrists. “It’s not like I’ve got anything else to say, anyway.”
He’d lost sense of time.
Was this another lab testing? Another small experiment? Another usual day where he’d heal someone who’d been deliberately ripped open, fatally wounded to the point they could no longer scream? Or was it his turn to be struck and pushed to the point where he felt his world tilt and his consciousness slip between his fingers? I suppose I shouldn’t think too badly, he thought to himself as he watched the guard open a door, then another with a simple swipe of his card. There were worse days, after all, and he had a feeling that today wouldn’t be that. Besides, he had no strength left to argue. It hadn’t been long since the aftereffects of their newest experimentation had worn off, so he still felt like half of his self was still in a lalaland while the other half remained grounded, confined in the dreary walls.
He was roughly pushed inside to what seemed like a cafeteria, and he only rolled his eyes when he heard the guard leave grumbling some non-appropriate complaints. Julian, without letting his mind wander too much (or letting his thoughts rest on what the guard had just complained of), looked around. Already his shoulders tensed from the wariness he felt. Where was this place? The floor was checkered, there was a metal window, and there were three round tables. And much to his subtle bemusement, there were other individuals who were seated as well, and he blinked at the sight. Well, that was a nice surprise starting from the morning. He’d come just in time to hear a young man introducing himself — his name. Felix, he’d said. Leaning his weight on one of his feet and resting his hand on his slender waist, Julian quirked an eyebrow and let his lips curve the slightest bit to form what bordered a crooked smile. “I’m not interrupting something, am I?"
( oh goodness i'm so sorry for this atrocity of a starter it's literally 5:30am over here and i'm on the verge of passing out hopefully this wasn't too bad ;; i'll see all of you folk later! :-) )

T orrian M arin 》 It was easy to sense the eyes on him, the wariness, considering the amount of chains wrapping around his body, hard shades obscuring his vision and their's. The chains clinked softly in the crease of his elbows as his long-fingered hand pushed the lenses away briefly, fitting his jewel-encrusted gaze upon the newcomers as they came. Jangling quietly in the crook of his knee as one leg raised, ankle resting on the opposite knee, studying his fellow mutants as they spoke, easily his photographic memory able to imprint the movements of their lips in his head, therefore their names. His lenses didnt stay pushed away for too long- the guard was not happy with him being able to take off an already-flimsy security measure. His voice was calm, his smile easy and soothing,
" I understand my appearance may be a bit confusing. It is difficult to contain a man who can disappear to someplace else in the blink of an eye. "
He couldn't exactly offer a demonstration, gesturing with one manicured hand towards himself in aimless gesture. Teleportation, indeed, was a tricky thing to keep handcuffed. He kept an amicability, a friendliness, to himself as he spoke and angled his head to peer at his new companions through the sweetspot of the glasses that didn't completely whack out his vision. Tilting his chin briefly to each one of them as they spoke and divulged their names, he made a grimace with his mouth that seemed impressed, whistling softly, briefly.
" An interesting group the scientists have seemed to bring together, with powers like these. "
Hazel-green eyes flickered to Oscar at the grandparent comment, his gaze unable to be seen through the lenses, but the little hum and twitch of a smile towards his direction indicated that Torrian found the comment to be amusing. Listening idly to the other mutant's questions, he studied the room they were confined to, seeing no easy means of escape. Not that they really would be able to do so anyway considering how so many of them were rooted in some way. Out of them all, Torrian was definitely the most decked-out in security measures. His head turned slowly to address the newcomer,
" Simply introductions, if you'd like to tag along with those. Torrian- "
A simple wave to himself, seemingly thinking about something. His head was steady on his broad shoulders, staring towards the girth of the table towards where the others sat, clearly having all of them in his field of vision although it was impossible to pinpoint his gaze's direction. His mouth quirked lightly, voice a rasping smooth,
" Hm, Kaede here might use that invisibility of her's to trip you down a flight of stairs if you say something like that, Oscar. "
His voice was joking, his overall demeanor entirely difficult to pinpoint, with his pink hair, the lenses that obscured half his face, the chains wrapped around him alongside his black turtleneck shift, leather jacket, the light jeans with skin peeking through lacerated by mesh net. It was hard to gauge someone when you didnt have their eyes. Leaning his head back a bit, inhaling and exhaling like a man deep in thought, making conclusions, his voice was slow, curious.
" It would seem they are collecting us here... it must be important, considering I have been here so long, and never once seen you guys. They'll be around, they always are. They're probably watching us now, somehow. Don't suppose Mr. Jake O'Malley will be joining us. "
Not with that stunt he pulled earlier when he feverishly denied any sort of connection to the mutants. Long fingers ran through his swept-back locks, humming softly to himself. Raising his glasses briefly again, his hazel-green eyes scattered over the group again, jewels winking at the corners,
" Well I do hope it is a frequent occurrence- it's nice being 'round people again. "
A sweet, boyish smile offsetting the chains around his arms that marked him so dangerous.

[ Yeah sorry about that. Our plot was moving very quickly and we couldn't excuse characters from this point in the plotline. We'd tried contacting you, but after no replies within the last two days and activity elsewhere, there was little other choice unless we wanted to pause the entire rp for one person, which with the activity we had, didn't seem like a very good option. Again, sorry, but we did give time. We'd only opened the spot up at. . . noon? maybe one depending on time zones. ]
