I thought that there were only a million people on earth and that history only went back as far as the 1900s And that your relatives had to live at least 4 hours away from you Once i told my mom that there was a different moon shining over each state and that when you looked up at night you saw the moon specific to your state although i think i just made up that story on the spot.

I remember being very terrified of mannequins. As in the mannequins with no head, little me was afraid of them and would hide from them in stores.
Here's something humorous. When my mother was telling me how Santa wasn't real. This was my reaction: "Now you're going to tell me the Easter Bunny isn't real!" Little me was more distraught over the fact the Easter Bunny didn't exist than Santa...

I thought - smarties (the candy) actually made you smart - any factory that had clouds billowing out the top was a "cloud factory" - chocolate milk came from brown cows - the principal and vice-principal were married - every song on the radio was being played live - stuffed animals watched me while I slept (so I hid them under pillows and blankets before going to bed each night) - drugstores actually sold drugs
And for some reason up until like 1st grade I legitimately thought England didn't exist.
drugstores do sell drugs, that's why they're called drugstores

babies just kind of Happened when you were married, and you could affect the chances of them being boys or girls by hoping hard enough (but it still wasn't guaranteed) (that second half came from when my mom told me she had always wanted two daughters)
if the sandbox got too much water in it then it would turn into quicksand
flour was the sweet one, not sugar, though I was aware that if you cooked or baked with sugar then it would make the final product sweeter
green grapes were called pesky grapes, and purple grapes were called nuisance grapes
mice and rats could make hybrid rat mice
my friend believed for a very long time that she was the last real person alive and her family was replaced by aliens and she was afraid of them so she decided to be goth

- When women got to around 19-20 a baby would just kinda pop out of their belly button. No big deal.
- If you stared at the television for too long your head would turn into a square.
- There was this one painting of a dolphin in our bathroom that I believed could talk, so I'd just sit down and have full on conversations with it sometimes. I nicknamed it "Ella".
- All of my stuffed toys had a name and a personality. Every single one. And if you insulted any of them I'd immediately kick you out of my room.
- One time I lost a tooth and when I put it under my pillow, I also left a note there asking the tooth fairy to be my pen pal. My mom thought it was really cute, so she indulged and wrote notes back every time I lost a tooth and we kept up this weird correspondence. And that's the story of how I believed I became pen pals with the tooth fairy.
- When I died I'd reincarnate into a cat, since I liked cats a lot.
- When I got to around the age of 10 I looked in the mirror a lot and ending up having these weird mini existential episodes where I'd just kind of be like "...Who am I? What is 'me'?" And it usually lasted for like, a minute, before I'd just go off and be completely fine. Off on my merry way. No idea why or what I thought it'd accomplish, but there you go.
- Make-up was gross and so was anybody who wore it.
- Humans were made out of cement and/or dirt, apparently.
- I'm British, but since I used to watch a lot of movies and TV shows based in the US, for a bit I thought I was American.

When I was a little kid, I thought boys grew up to be women and girls grew up to be men. I based a whole career choice off of that idea. I actually told my mother and sister at the dinner table one night, "When I grow up to be a man, I want to be one of those fat guys that wears diapers (a sumo wrestler)." o.o

That there were cameras everywhere and my parents just spied on me 24/7. Cameras in my room. Cameras in the bathroom. Cameras at school. Cameras in my head. Literally everywhere. 0_0
That everyone lived for exactly 100 years when I was really small. No sooner, no later. Always 100.
That mothers automatically got C-sections for their babies.
