(I love me some plot bombs XD) James could only stand there and stare. What Aika was saying seemed impossible, almost making his head spin. They have dealt with so many gruesome and terrible things at the agency, some of which would keep any normal citizen awake at night for weeks, but an entire family disappearing, only a single voice of a child left to echo their cries, was chilling in a way that struck James speechless for a minute. "What can we do?" he finally said, because obviously they had gotten that letter for a reason. "Doctor Mori is requesting we enter the palace and try to save and escort as many of the Cyra family members as possible. However....Calhoun is requiring that you, Naomi, and Dalton go. I'm to stay in the car we would be taking to watch your feeds through camera to provide an additional pair of eyes. While I do think this is smart, we have two major problems already." "Well the first one is the effects of the blood magic on Dalton obviously, but a second? What do you mean?" "Radio frequency. Blood magic can often be mistaken with wavelengths for reasons we still don't understand. If you enter an area with large amounts of blood magic, I won't be able to do much about it." "I-I see...." Naomi tapped her finger against her chin as she tried to think of the best course of action. "I'm going to go and get some evidence and lies that might help us. You guys are better at group strategy than I am. Maybe go and discuss this with Dalton? It would be best to keep us all on the same page then separated, yeah?" She asked mainly towards James, but Aika nodded with her idea. Rosestar

Lucas remained sitting on the couch for a few moments with his head still buried in his hands, mumbling under his breath. This was what he tried to avoid - feeling like a mess, feeling like a terrible person - and yet he hadn't been able to. "What the hell is wrong with me?" He mumbled as he lifted his head and turned his head to look at the fireplace. He then stood and walked toward it, getting close enough to feel its heat. He let out a breath in an attempt to find some peace, but it didn't do much for him. (Should I be ashamed for him being this much of a mess? Because I'm not.) Silence returned to the room as Selena focused on the stove and cutting board in front of her. For a few minutes, the only audible sounds that could be heard where the crackles of wood from the fireplace being devoured and sharpness of the blade Selena was using. Then, a sudden high pitched shriek entered Selena's mind, one very similar to that of a banshee. Her hands quickly covered her ears as the sound drowned all attempts of thought, leaving her in a state of paralysis as she fill to her knees and called out for her brother.

"How much?" Lily skipped to the point. Neither of them wanted to waste their time here. "5,000," said Tom. And with five easy payments of $9.99 we can upgrade that to a dishwasher, he thought.

featherleg"It is always a pleasure of duty to be summoned. Short notice, nor long notice; I shall be there upon expectation." He politely stated with a hand resting upon his chest. We just met... and I probably am getting the scolding of a lifetime. M-Maybe I wasn't supposed to talk to her? He blinked a little seeing the girl bow slightly before him; his expression was slightly off as was the other generals. Something-Something isn't right here...He listened in silence to the voices around the room. D-Did I hear that right? He flinched his head slightly to the right; following the voices that crossed over one another. P-Personal.... strategist? D-Did I hear that right? He continued to listen. The silence in the room made even him shiver as this sudden greeting, turned into a small argument only to die by silence. This was not going in any way he expected. Turning his attention to Akia he listened silently thinking this through. It was sudden and truly...unexpected. The idea as well was rather tempting but-but was he fit for such a task. He didn't think so; he's seen many others along his side who could pull it off better, or at least had the heart for it. As for himself; he... wasn't so sure. Then the mention of his friend... that almost seemed to predictable. But-still... Having him by my side... we can do much more. We can alternatate and make room for error.... His eyes rolled around the room. There was a vibe something that just screamed; unskilled, and unprepared. D-Do I take it... do I not? He thought quickly. He wasn't so sure, and time was not of the essence. This must be urgent to have been summoned on short notice. Perhaps? Should he ask for time to truly think about it; would there be time? Would there be a tomorrow; could this be a choice that is necessary to her entirely? Finally he knelt down with a gracious humble tone; "My lady-It would be an honor to fulfill your wishes. ..." He let the words slip through his tongue. It was an offer anyone would dream of, and while he too was questioning it; one thing was for certina. The urgency is riding on this; otherwise this could have waited until morning. He waited for a response before standing back up.

featherlegJames nodded, pulling out his phone. "Yeah, he'll have ideas, even in this state." He fidgeted with the device, not quite dialing the number yet, until Naomi left the room. Then he turned to Aika, and burst out, "Surely Calhoun at least knows about the radio frequency problems we'll be encountering? What is he playing at?" He sighed, shaking his head, not really expecting an answer. "I don't know." he said, now putting in Dalton's number. "Do you actually think it's a good idea for Dalton to know about it? I mean, I know we have to tell him and all, but he's going to want to come and we both know that wouldn't be good for him and-" "Hello?" Dalton's voice came through the phone, already on speaker. "North, did I catch you in the middle of babbling? Something wrong?"

"Both Doctor Mori and Agent Calhoun have requested that we re-enter the Swan's Fountain. About two days ago there was a kidnapping at manor of the Cyra family, one of the few remaining contacts and allies the VDA still has within the Arcancis Chamber. The whole family is gone and was taken into the frozen palace almost directly after the kidnapping. We know that one of the members of the family, Oliver Cyra, might still be alive off of a letter we found outside of the palace, but he is the youngest and presumably the weakest since he is not fully trained in defensive magic. As part of the mission, they're requesting we rescue and escort as many of the family members out as possible. However, they are only allowing you, James, and Naomi to enter the facility. There's also one thing I forgot to mention-," She said mainly towards James,"Calhoun's secretary will be joining you all while I observe the camera and radio feeds that will be on your armored suits. Apparently she's extremely well trained for these types of operations. So, what do you think Dalton? Do we accept this?" If we don't, they might turn the whole family, or at least attempt to.Rosestar (Here's the real last post I had for you Rosestar sorry again for the mix up.)

An elegant smile appeared on her lips. "Thank you for accepting." Especially on such short notice. "I'd like to discuss our battle plans with you and Jakup if that's alright. I'll have a guard report the results to all of you." She said towards the generals. They all nodded in unison and departed, leaving just Aika and Rowlin in the room. Watching the door carefully, Aika waited until she could sense there wasn't someone lingering to relax and turn back to Rowlin. "I apologize for putting you on the spot like that, but my generals lack something that I believe people like you and I have much in common." She turned towards the small fireplace that stood behind her, her arms dropping to her side. "What is louder to you? The sound of the people outside talking or their hearts beating?" Auransky

Lucas' head turned toward the kitchen as Selena called for him, so he left his spot in front of the fireplace and headed toward the kitchen. As soon as he entered and saw her on the floor, he immediately rushed to her side and got down on his knees. He hadn't heard anything, so he wasn't able to figure out what was going on. "Are you okay?" He finally asked as he scooted a little closer to her.

But at least it could run. His boss hadn't been to picky with the price and had set it very low, because no one had wanted to buy it at its previous price. Plus, they needed the space.

(It's fine, it's been a while ^^) featherleg Dalton already knew his answer. If he was being honest, they probably all knew already, and he was just wasting time they didn't have. An entire family vanished, only one scared little boy left. "Of course we're accepting it. I just have one question- do you think we can trust his secretary Aika?" Even the answer to that didn't matter. The question was more along the lines to make sure Calhoun wouldn't be hearing about his little issues- but still, that was the least of their problems. If Dalton had to confront whatever was happening to him in order to save all those people, even if it was just one person, it was worth it. "Now I say we do it either way- this is more a precautionary question." It would be strange to work with someone else, especially with Aika not around- he trusted her more than anyone, except maybe with the slight exception of James, who he would never admit that out loud to.

"I don't know if I ever said, but my name's Thomas. You can call me Tom. Everyone does," he said. It was nice meeting someone without having to worry about the VDA. He looked behind him then. It was habit. It seemed every time he started to think he was safe someone would destroy that peace. "Darn vampire hunters," he muttered. And, he thought in horror. I brought this next destruction of peace onto myself.

Of course Lily picked on his mumble. She'd have to be stupid to not. Immediately, she started going through different possibilities- 1. He was a vampire, or some other magical being. 2. VDA was giving him trouble, but that would most likely stem from option 1. He wasn't displaying any telltale signs though. Could he be friends with a witch? She was certainly in no position to accuse him. She couldn't pretend not to hear him. Looked like she would have to play it off. "What, VDA's been haggling?" She winked.

Lowering her hands from her hand, her eyes widened in terror as she saw that the glyphs and markings that were on her wrists began to expand, almost like a fire, down to her elbows. On her right arm the glyphs appeared angelic while the glyphs on her left seemed demonic. "I....I didn't damage anything right?" She asked slowly.

Seeing that she was still shaking, Lucas pulled her into his arms and began to rub her back in an attempt to soothe her. He was somewhat unnerved by the way the glyphs were expanding, but that was the least of his concerns at the moment. He just wanted to know that his sister was okay. "I don't think so," he finally said. "But you didn't answer my question. Are you okay?"

featherlegRowlin shook his head with a hidden smile. "My lady no need to apologize; this is what knights are here to serve. To uphold, decide, and fulfill no matter what the reasoning may be. I find this cause to be an important one; therefore I shall do what I must." But this is really short notice....can I really hold up to the task? Rowlin nodded briefly then blinked a little at the mention of his friend. "It is alright; I can brief him in later when I find him.." He assured Aika firmly. He's close... no matter what I say... so it worries me not.. "Nonetheless my lady;I like your question dearly...It is something I have been told to look out for since I could at first remember." He eyes softened. "When listening out; it is the heart I hear calling. Our voices, our tone they are simply messengers of our heart, but sometimes-no many times we mask our true faces to hide our fear that hides deep within the heart. Yes-I fear I fear every day I go out, but I remind myself of this cause, and why I choose to push forward; I hear the hearts of many others whom fear and cry. It is truly upsetting, but we carry on against the odds." He walked around the room slightly hoping he wasn't deeply intruding.; "If my lady wishes; I will gladly conform... whatever information I shall process, and assist, No matterhow srtong the task."

Of course, she wouldn't have liked the question, but he had to ask. It wasn't just about protecting himself from Calhoun. It was about protecting the whole team from Calhoun. Now that they knew something suspicious was happening, making sure his team, his closest friends and allies, were safe was his priority. Who knew what await them at the palace? "Good to know we're on the same page. I'll be there in ten. Get ready to move out." With that, he hung up the phone. I'm going to hear about that later. he thought to himself, already feeling the need to prepare for Aika's wrath. But I got bigger fish to fry."Emergency at work Zeus, I'll be back later." Dalton called, leaving the house without waiting for an answer.

No, that'd be stupid. She didn't know who she was dealing with here. If he was really an enemy, she had to make him think she was on his side so nothing happened to her. Like James had always told her growing up, he wanted her safe first, and whatever info she came across during her journeys second. Like he always knew she'd get in a position like that one day. "Nobody special." she finally shrugged, hoping she knew what she was doing.
