 The storm rages overhead, sending ice cold rain into your pelt as you make your way up the mountain side. A flash of lightning is followed by thunder, causing you to jump and almost lose your footing on the slick rocks. One paw in front of the other. You tell yourself as you push forward into the shelter of the upcoming forest. Your paws meet soft mud as the trees begin to shelter you from the cold rain. Your guard suddenly becomes relaxed as you no longer have to fight to keep from sliding down the mountain. You sit and rest, closing your eyes for just a moment. Suddenly, you're on the on your back slowly sinking into the mud with a large tom on top of you growling.
"Who are you?" He hisses, his weight keeping you pinned to the ground. As you struggle under him, he looks to the side suddenly climbing off and allowing you to rise to your feet. A light brown she-cat stands before both of you, her piercing green eyes seeming to stare right through you. The tom walks over to her, sitting beside her whispering something into her ear.
"I'm sorry for your experience with Lightningjumper." She meowed pointing to the tom beside her with her tail. "I'm Oakstar and you are currently in StormClan territory. You are free to stay and wait out the storm, but the minute it ends you will be escorted by my warriors out before being chased off. If that isn't to your taste, you are always free to join us. The choice is yours."
RULES- No kit anything
- Anyone can join, but with that in mind please be literate. One sentence replies will not be tolerated.
- No perfect characters, seriously its annoying and just no. All characters have to have flaws.
- Keep non-roleplay drama out of the chat, with hat in mind roleplay drama is allowed
- You can't kill another persons character without their permission

 Camp is in the middle of a mountain forest with a flowing river just outside of camp that flows down the mountain that they call home. Dens are built into the side of rocks or under the roots of large trees. The high branch where meetings are held, is in the lowest branch of an old oak tree.

♀ -- Oakstar -- 36 moons --Oakstar is small framed she-cat with a short tan pelt and piercing green eyes and several white markings. Her chin is white along with white dots just above her eyes. Her chest leading down to her stomach is white along with all of her toes. Oakstar has darker brown tipped ears that have deep 'v's cut out of both. She has a scar that stretches across both shoulders and ends at her right front paw from an accident she doesn't fully remember. Oakstar is very blunt in her speaking and doesn't tolerate disrespect even from elders. Despite her harsh ways, Oakstar is extremely caring and one that gives her all for her clan and her family. She became leader after Flamestar lost his last life to a fox attack that Oakstar blames herself for. Oakstar lost her only kit soon after he was born, due to this she has a hard time being around queens.

Stormpaw is a long haired grey tom with black ears and paws, and blue eyes. He is very smart, and loves to learn. However, sometimes this makes him a bit of a know-it-all, especially towards his mentor. He can be a bit lazy sometimes, merely because heat makes him tired due to his long fur, but he loves helping his Clan.

Spiderflame is a large short-haired almost pure black tom with deep amber eyes. The tom has a dark grey patch on his chest and a singular white toe on his back right paw. Spiderflame has a large scar stretching from behind his neck and stopping just below his right shoulder from an accident as an apprentice that he doesn't fully remember. He is a very aggressive tom, but doesn't talk much. He is loyal until the end, but believes his family comes before anything else in his life. Despite his aggressive tendencies, he is a kind towards queens and kits as he thinks they're one of the most important things in a clan. As a kit he was born to a loner along with his siblings until Flamestar found them.

Lightningjumper is a nimble and lightly framed short-haired tom with a dark brown coat with almost transparent tabby stripes that seem to only be seen in the right light. He has stunning yellow eyes with white dots above his eyes and a white chin. Despite being quick, Lightningjumper couldn't avoid getting scars on his face that stretch from his nose to just under his left eyes from a fight with his brother. Despite a cold brother, Lightningjumper is a very light hearted tom and very easy to get along with. He doesn't believe in conflict in his personal life, but is quick to fight for his clan. He tries to be there for everyone as his family wasn't really there for him.

Rivermoth is a larger she-cat with a short dark brown pelt with a white stomach and chest. Her eyes are a deep green with white spots above her eyes and a white chin, making her facial markings almost identical to her sisters. The warrior has three white stripes trailing up her tail, marking the base, middle, and tip. Rivermoth has a very noticeable scar across her shoulder from a fox attack before she joined the clan. Due to this scar running for long periods of times can be difficult and cause her to limp. Rivermoth is very outspoken, having a very difficult time figuring out when not to speak. Despite her loud mouth, she is extremely caring and willing to put herself in front of anything to protect what she loves. Rivermoth is very head strong and once her mind is set on something it is very hard to change. Her siblings are Lightningjumper, Spiderflame, and Minnowsplash.
♀ -- Minnowsplash -- 27 moons --
Minnowsplash is a small framed she-cat with a short pelt that is light grey with slightly darker tabby stripes and a white belly, with the white marking stretching up to her chest. All of Minnowsplash's toes are white like most of her other markings. She has striking blue eyes with white spots just above and a white marking on her chin. Her ears have slightly darker grey tips than the rest of her coat, making the deep v's cut out of her ears more prominent. The warrior has a scar between her shoulder blades that trails down her spine and off the right ending just above her ribs from an accident as an apprentice. Minnowsplash is extremely kind, worrying more about those around her than herself. The she-cat is soft spoken and more likely to sit quiet than to ever raise her voice. Her temper is hard to stir, making her very patient and easy to get along with. Minnowsplash and her sister were born loners, but joined when they were 7 moons knowing in the clan they were better off.
♂ --Darkblaze--36 Moons--
Darkblaze is a dark grey tabby tom with black stripes and black paws. He has green eyes, as well as a scar across his right eye. Darkblaze is a very closed off tom, and can be a bit of a jerk at times, though he tries not to be. Darkblaze is demisexual/bisexual.
♀ --Ashenheart--36 Moons--
Ashenheart is a pretty light grey tabby with slightly darker grey stripes, and pretty blue-green eyes. She has a large scar on her right shoulder, and is missing a toe on that paw as well. Ashenheart is very kind and caring, and is very opposite to her brother in that she falls in love all too quickly. She can be a bit of a daydreamer sometimes, and that was the reason behind her scars, as she was taking a walk and not paying attention when she was attacked by a starving fox. Because of this, she never goes out into the forest without at least one other cat with her, and has separation anxiety. She is also bisexual.

Flamestar was a large short haired tom with a ginger pelt and green eyes. He has a white front right paw, the white stretching up his leg fading the higher it got. Flamestar had a white blaze that stretched from his nose to his forehead. He is seen with a large scar across his throat from the fox that took his last life. His glow is a very gentle yellow and is usually only seen in times of need. He is seen to those who have lost a mate or family. Flamestar was a very gentle tom who always was more concerned with those around him than himself. He was rarely stern and was the last to jump to conflict. He was mates with Oakstar, but died before she could have their kit who died shortly after birth.
♂ -- Sparkkit -- 0 moons--
Sparkkit was a short haired ginger kit with blue eyes, his eye color only becoming known after he joined StarClan. He was white toes like his mom and white dots above his eyes like his mother as well. He was born with fluid in his lungs and passed quickly after birth. He was grown in StarClan, but will never grow larger than a kit until Oakstar joins him so she won't miss out on him growing up. He is seen with a bright blue glow around him, and is usually the first to come to grieving queens or those who are simply lost in life. He is extremely kind hearted and always trying to cheer someone up.

Ashenheart was laying in the sun, the warm sun feeling good against her pelt. The days were getting colder and colder, and the nights longer and longer. She wasn't a huge fan of leafbare, as her short pelt meant she was always cold, though most of the time she would curl up with Darkblaze when it got really cold.
Darkblaze was sitting in the shadows hanging around the camp, watching the other cats, his tail flicking, silent. He was never one that liked to be in the thick of things, and he always felt a bit awkward around other cats.
Stormpaw was sititng outside the medicine cat den, softly chanting the herbs and their uses to himself, watching the ground, focused, not hearing pawsteps approaching behind him.

Spideflame trotted into camp, a rabbit in his jaws that swung carelessly almost hitting the toms paws. He continued walking until suddenly his own paws became tangled with the rabbits, causing him to fall and the prey to slide hitting Aspenheart in the back. "Sorry!" Spiderflame called out quickly rising to his paws and shaking the dust from his best without any luck. The now black and brown tom trotted to Aspenheart with a small smile before pulling the rabbit towards him with a paw.
Oakstar spotted Darkblaze alone and began to grow curious on why he wasn't out enjoying the beautiful day. The she-cat jumped from her den onto a small rock near where the tom was hiding. "Good morning." She purred as she walked towards him, joining him in the shadows. "What are you doing all by yourself?" She questioned and she licked a paw, running it over her head to help her fur lay down.
Rivermoth spotted Stormpaw alone in the medicine cat den, she purred with satisfaction as she crept towards the apprentice. The warrior quickly pounced on the tom with a loud laugh. "Gotta stay alert, Stormpaw!" she teased before quickly climbing off of him and shaking his herbs off of her pelt.

Ashenheart just laughed, shaking herself off." Its fine, Spideflame.", she purred, smiling." Maybe don't let the rabbit attack you like that!", she teased softly, her tail waving.
Darkblaze glacned over at her, dipping his head slightly in greeting." I just like to sit here sometimes.", he said." All the movement in camp can be a bit overwhelming.", he said, his ears flicking, watching the cats move around.
Stormpaw let out a yowl of surprise, jumping a good foot in the air." Rivermoth, what was that for?", he said, and frowned." You messed me up.", he said, and started gathering the herbs back together, all of them having scattered around him, his tail flicking.

Oakstar nodded at her warriors words. "I used to be the same way when I was a warrior, but then I became deputy and realized I had to trust that my warriors had my back. It even happened again when Flamestar died, if the warriors and I couldn't keep him alive then how could I trust them? My worry and stress cost me a lot." She spoke looking forward, she hadn't talked about Flamestar's death in a long time.
Rivermoth licked the apprentice's head, messing up his fur with a purr. "Oh hush, I'll help you put everything back. You need to learn to have fun." She teased gathering herbs into a small pile with her paw so that Stormpaw wouldn't have to search everywhere for them.

It makes me anxious to be around so many cats at once. I'm always afraid they'll think I'm just closed off and don't care about anyone.", he said. Stormpaw just flicked his tail irritably. He didn't have time to have fun, he had to learn the medicines before he was made a full medicine cat, he didn't want to be a pas forever. He could have fun after that. |

"You know if you spend all your time just learning you'll never experience fun. You'll just end up a grumpy old elder." She teased flicking his nose with her tail. "You don't want to end up all mean and gross like Spiderflame, do you?" Rivermoth teased trying to cheer the apprentice up.

"You're a brilliant warrior, you just need to give others a chance." Oakstar meowed softly so others wouldn't hear their conversation. The she-cat grabbed a robin and pulled it towards her, expertly plucking feathers as she looked at the tom. A feather stuck to her nose causing her to sneeze with a small laugh.
"You won't be an apprentice forever, I promise." Rivermoth looked down at him with a small purr. "It may seem that way, but soon you'll be the best medicine cat ever and you'll be able to take care of everyone." She pushed some of the same herb towards him with a smile.

The tom stumbled on his feet, falling once again. Spiderflame refused to get up, instead acting like a kit he began to kick at the rabbit growing frustrated with himself.
"I understand, it takes a lot of time. But it also helps to have someone that understands and is by your side." Oakstar meowed before taking a bite of her bird and looking over at Spiderflame's tempter tantrum quickly deciding to ignore the tom. She had dealt with him since he was a kit, and wasn't in the mood.
"Besides, are you really ready to deal with StarClan?" Rivermoth asked knowing how often the star warriors came down to visit the clan. She had only seem Sparkkit once, but it was enough to make her want to avoid sleep for almost a moon.

Oakstar nudged the Darkblaze with a paw. "Come on, I know you're feeling out of it. We'll go to the stream, we need to do a border patrol anyway." She trotted out of camp, hissing at Spiderflame until he rose to his paws and shook the dirt from his pelt.

Oakstar nudged the Darkblaze with a paw. "Come on, I know you're feeling out of it. We'll go to the stream, we need to do a border patrol anyway." She trotted out of camp, hissing at Spiderflame until he rose to his paws and shook the dirt from his pelt. "But guess what?" Rivermoth meowed happily. "You're going to meet him, and you'll be the best medicine cat and we're all going to be incredibly proud of you." She licked her ear as if she were his mother. Darkblaze nodded, and followed her quietly, thinking. Stormpaw smiled." Thanks.", he said. He liked Rivermoth, she was really nice and never snapped at him or critizicied him, at least not if it wasn't constructive. |

"Foxes are getting closer to the territory, I fear a vixen just had kits near the east border." Oakstar commented as they walked, her unsheathed claws slipping out into the moss covered forest floor. The leader was careful she had already lost three lives, and didn't want to lose any more especially not to a fox. "Next hunting patrol we need to stay close together, no one should be alone." She made a sharp turn heading towards the east border, wanting to make sure her intuition was right.
"Why did you want to be a medicine cat anyway?" Rivermoth asked laying down, slightly leaning against the wall of the den. She could never imagine just sitting around and sorting herbs. She also couldn't imagine the stress they go through when someone is hurt, the thought scared her.

Yes, last time I was on patrol there was a lot of fox scent around that area.", he said following her, his tail flicking slightly." We should be careful, and not confront them. We'd need more cats for that." ((I kinda feel like shipping these two. Cause it would take Oakstar awhile to open up to having another mate, and obviously it would take awhile for Darkblaze to open up as well.)) "I wanted to help cats.", he said." And I never really liked the thought of having to hurt other cats for no real reason, especially if it wasn't something I believed in.", he said." And, I love all the herbs. It's fun to learn what they do, and to see them heal cats.", he said, a sparkling light in his eyes as he talked about it, obviously in love with his job. |

"We'll be alright, we have plenty of capable warriors to help us against a fox." Oakstar climbed onto a nearby rock, her nose pressing against the cold stone for a moment. "The smell is old, hopefully they've moved on from here." The she-cat jumped down from the stone, her tail flicking back and forth as they walked. She paused waiting for Darkblaze, not wanting him to stray to far from her side.
Rivermoth looked at the tom, confused. "Us warriors don't just hurt others for fun, we do it to protect the clan and what we hold close to our hearts." She always believed that warriors were never out to truly hurt others, but now she suddenly questioned with a small sigh.

But I smell newer scent than that.", he said." Maybe a day old. It was a small fox though.", he said. "I know that.", he said." But I never wanted to have to fight over something I didn't believe in, like taking territory from another Clan, or border skirmishes. I think they're petty things to fight and get injured for.", he said, his tail flicking. |
