Chapter 9&10 are posted! Interesting fact: Chapter 9 was initially chapter 10, and chapter 10 was chapter 9; I'd written it as a time jump then flashback pairing, then decided it would flow better with the story continuing to progress chronologically.

You will be happy to know that I've pretty much finished hammering out the plot and cast list of The Lost Apprentice (copperpaw's story) and it turned out to be much more adventure-epic than I anticipated, but in a really exciting way. Lot's of interesting characters that differ vastly from the clan cats, so I might have a teaser ready by the time I finish this short story.
And I'm also tossing around an idea for a civil war in ThunderClan, where Hollyleaf doesn't die at the end of the great battle, and challenges Brambleclaw for his leadership. Personally, I believe she would make the better leader of the two.

Actually, I'm torn between having it where Brambleclaw dies along with Firestar, leaving TC without any leaders so it kind of becomes a free for all, or having Hollyleaf openly challenge Brambleclaw for his position.

I vote free-for-all, since I think that would show more of Hollyleaf's cannon character and also have her interact with different personalities that she has to proof herself better (or at least better for the clan) then.

See that's what I was leaning towards because even though I thought it would make a better story, I didn't like doing that to Brambleclaw since he's already had to deal with so much. Having his former kit challenge him for his leadership, the only thing he had left just seemed cruel.

You guys will probably get a new chapter out of me tomorrow; I'm almost finished with this story. However the next story I post will probably not be The Lost Apprentice for two reasons; my life is getting pretty hectic and so my creative energy is otherwise occupied, and because writing The Lost Apprentice will be a lot bigger than a short story.
So instead, I'll be posting an IvyxHawk fanfic that a wrote a few years ago, when I was still active on the other site. I never finished it so some of it will be old and some of it will be new, but all of it will be exciting! But the Lost Apprentice is coming, I'm just pushing it.
