"Sounds good to me." She fell into line behind the warrior without complaint. "It'll give us a chance to explore anyway; I don't think any cat knows this territory like the backs of their paws just yet. But, hopefully we all will someday." Boarstar chuckled faintly.

Fallensnow nodded in agreement, "Eventually my leader, just takes a little time and exploration. Eventually cats will probably want to go beyond the territory and see more. Haha then that would be another problem solve." she purred in amusement.

"That it would," the toothy cat rumbled in assent, and continued to walk. "But, it should not be too difficult an endeavor." Bunching her muscles, Boarstar effortlessly sprang over a fallen log that was in her way. "We can move, certainly."

"Of course, of course. With you leading us I'm sure they won't be many problems that can't be solved." Fallensnow flashed the leader a toothy grin, slowing down so she was now following Boarstar walking close to her flank.

Boarstar let out a snort. "I have always believed that flattery gets you nowhere. I think it would be wise to keep that in mind for the future, Fallensnow." The moggy gave the white she-cat a pointed glare then, then quickly turned her head and resumed focusing on the forest in front of her.

Hawkfoot stood up and shook out her pelt, "Well, I guess we can guess?" She chuckled. Anything was better than just waiting for night.

"That's true." Batfrost said slowly, and began walking. He wasn't entirely sure where he was going, and although this could most certainly be bad, in the moment he really wasn't all that worried. There was still some light, at least.

[Gee, that response was short. I feel almost bad about it, but couldn't think of much else to say in the moment.]

The moggy gave the white she-cat a pointed glare then, then quickly turned her head and resumed focusing on the forest in front of her. "Of course Boarstar..." Fallensnow murmured with little emotion. She saw Boarstar's glare and when the leader turned her attention elsewhere Fallensnow glared back at her, the fur on the back of her neck bristling a bit as she tried to control herself.

She side-eyed her warrior, letting out a low growl. She was never particularly violent; ruthless, sure, but she rarely resorted to intentional violence. Disobedience was not a good thing, that was for sure. Sometimes she felt as though she had a tumultuous grip on this Clan as it was.

Fallensnow grinned but said nothing, the fact she got a reaction at all was enough for her right now. She look around and completely ignored the leader's growl, "Hmm I believe I smell a mouse over here, I'll go catch it myself." She flashed Boarstar a snarky glance before following the scent trail she found.

Hawkfoot followed Batfrost, ears pricked for any sound of the clan and mouth parted. We weren't gone that long - where could the blasted camp be??
(maybe they can find Boarstar/Fallensnow?)

"Very well," the leader said tersely, and after a quick sniff of the air she departed as well. Hopefully she'd find something decently-sized...Then again, she'd went hunting earlier, so, no shame if she didn't. Not much would be as impressive as that wolverine, though. ~~~~~ Batfrost narrowed his eyes. It was true, they most certainly had not been gone all that long. Was it a simple trick of the relatively unknown geography, or something else? Although, he wasn't one to really believe in the paranormal. So, geography, then. Still, it seemed strange. [ shadowstreak : Sounds like a swell idea to me! ]

Fallensnow stalked her mouse, locking her eyes on it as she crept up quickly behind it. She quickly pounced forward and grabbed the mouse with her claws, she gave the rodent a swift bite to the neck. She carried the prey in her jaw, she crouched back down and began to follow her Leader's scent trail.

Hawkfoot froze in her tracks suddenly. "Wait, Batfrost," she melted quietly, "Do you hear that?" She could just have been desperate, but should could have sworn she heard cats talking. Not close enough to make out what they were saying, but considering she didn't smell any foreign scents, she assumed them to be of the clan.

Boarstar was busy pulling a burr from her thin tail. You wouldn't think that things would get stuck in such short fur, but apparently they did. Finally yanking the annoyance out, the clay-colored cat spat it on the ground before her and kicked it into a nearby bush. Let someone else deal with that, she wasn't about to scrape up her paws trying to bury it. She gave her pelt a shake.
~~~~
The fawn tom tensed, narrowing his eyes in thought. "I'm not deaf yet as far as I know, so yes, Hawkfoot, I can," he snarked playfully. "Don't think those are birds. They wouldn't be out this late. So, probably cats." He sped up a little, heading towards the source of the noise.
Fallensnow followed Boarstar, she watched her leader in amusement as Boarstar removed the bur from her pelt. She tried to duck when the bur was kicked her direction. She had to bite back a growl as the bur stuck her the fur on her flank.
Hawkfoot followed her eyes, "What'd you say?" She asked mockingly, her meow one of amusement. She sped up to follow him, making mental note of their surroundings as they walked to prevent being lost again in the future.
Boarstar, none the wiser, continued onwards. It was getting a bit dark, but not so much so that any cat wandering the woods would be tripping over themselves trying to walk. That was a relief, at least. And cats usually had decent night vision.
~~~~~
"I think you know very well what I said," he chuckled good-naturedly, flicking his tail in her face as he walked. "Unless...don't tell me. You're going deaf? What a surprise." Batfrost grinned.

"Hey," she interjected, speeding up to walk beside him, "We're out here alone, you know. I could take you out after that comment and no one would ever know." She threatened, chuckling.

"I suppose that's true," he chuckled as well. "I don't particularly fancy dying out in the woods. Though I have to agree with you, would be the perfect place to kill a guy. Isolated. Quiet." Batfrost hummed low in his throat. "Could make a story worth frightening a kit with that kind of material."

(hey congratulations!)
Hawkfoot chuckled, "I'm sure if you had kits that is all that they would hear - scary stories about cats dying." She shook her head, "What a good father."

[ ] "Well, there's definitely some truth to that." Batfrost snorted loudly, rolling his eyes. "Moreso than I'd like to admit. Yet another reason why I'm not exactly prime father material, too. And any kids would hate me once I became an elder, that's for sure..though, I'm getting there."

Hawkfoot shrugged, "My father was older when he had us - explains why he wasn't around." Her voice wasn't sad, just matter-of-fact. "I've entertained the idea of kits before." She admitted.

[i'M ALIVE I SWEAR]
"I can at least assume that I had one," Batfrost began nonchalantly. "From what I can remember, Leto; my mother, though she barely felt like a mother. More of an iron-willed dictator-she never talked about another parent when my littermates and I were growing up. And unless cats can reproduce through osmosis or something, well.." This was followed by a shrug of his own. "Maybe someday, for me. Not like I'd know how to handle them."

She snorted, "Jusging by how you treated that poor leaf, you'd probably step on them or something." She retorted, attempting to lighten the mood. She wanted to inquire more about his younger moons, but was awkward with such topics. Besides, it wasn't her business anyways.

[sOMETIMES I WONDER ABOUT THAT MYSELF TO BE FRANK]
"Heh, no doubt." Batfrost rolled his eyes. "I mean, have you seen how small kittens are? It wouldn't be hard." The fawn-colored cat continued walking in silence.

(DON'T DIE PLS)
Hawkfoot snorted, "They're like little mice. I'd probably lose them." She chuckled, keeping pace with him, "At least I'd know they were raised right." She quipped, more to herself than anything.

[;~;]
"Not as edible as mice, though." There was definitely more than a bit of dark humor involved in that joke. Damn, Batfrost. Chill. "Would be all too easy to misplace them..Sounds nerve-wracking." He didn't have to strain his ears to hear her next words, nor did he have to comment on them, but he chose to speak anyways. "I think you'd be a good mother, if anything."
