"Yeah, lets keep going," Shadeheart meowed in a slightly softer tone than his ussual monotone. They walked about to the midway point before Shadeheart checked for scents and picked up on stale fox scent, which always semed to linger in this area. "Guess there aren't any foxes around here," he checked again, "Though slight hint of eagles probably explains why the birds are quite"
(Eagles are both prey and predators, unless someone feels differently about that)

"Eagles? I've never actually seen an eagle, but a predator and one out to hunt, would cause the prey to scatter, you're right," HeatherSong's tail flicked, her uncomfort showing through, "can you tell how many there are?" she meowed, head tilted.

"One," Shadeheart meowed, "not that big a deal though if it gets near the camp it may snatch up a kit or two," he had knowledge of eaglesbfrom his own experience with one, which he and his brother took down, "trust me so long as they can find other prey they won't be a problem." He signaled for her to follow, wanting to finish the patrol, he'd rather not get invovled in another fight with a hawk with his brother, Eagleclaw.
(Hence the name EAGLEclaw, none were born in the clan)

She followed, eyes bright and ears alert, her tail rippling behind her. HeatherSong noticed a small spring to the right of the path and lapped up some water before running to catch up with ShadeHeart.

DappledSun rolled onto his back and watched the prophecy cat's fur spike upwards and outward as a small blue crackle of light ignited, and was immediately doused above her paws. "They all have magic? Or was that a trick of the light?" He mumbled before 'loafing'.

They neared the end of their patrol and Shadeheart stopped, he never liked having a patrol end as well as they ussual did it was boring to him, "How about we take the long route back to camp," he meowed before continueing on their path. He was actually enjoying the company, which felt strange to him but at the same time natural.

"Maybe some other time," Shadeheart meowed, he hadn't ever train with anyone outside his family and felt it would be wrong to do so, "but hey you can join me on patrol anytime you want, I lead though," he smiled for a second the patrol had been fun though he hated having other patroling with him.
(I feel like he sounds tsundere-ish, thumbs up if you know what I'm talking about)

"Thanks," she nodded gratefully before yowling: "last one back to camp is fox dung." And racing down the path the breeze threading through her cream fur as she ducked under a low lying branch. They were finished with the patrol anyway, the last stretch of land was too close to camp for anything worrying anyhow.
