( lol I will send y'all one tomorrow. Does it matter what role play it came from? )
( I ask bc tbh I imagine my dude as a bad-booty Maori warrior who screams obscenities (Haka) at his enemies and has a tendency to prefer charging into battle partially naked )

Ka'aukai Paewai
"For a thousand years, I’ve only being thinking of keeping this hair silky, getting my hook, and being awesome again."
♒
As usual, Ka’aukai was awake with the sun. The man’s brown eyes flickered open at the soft sound of knuckles raking against the door. It was a sharp sound; startling, cutting through the fog of sleep. He turned to peer at the door, a flash of relief flickering through his dark eyes before he threw the covers that he hadn’t kicked free from his person to the end of the bed, rolling to his feet. He scrubbed at his face and sighed. Normally, Ka’aukai would be annoyed. He liked the little sleep he did get, and it wasn’t necessarily unusual to find the tall Islander sprawled out on a couch or bed, snoozing his free time away. Ka’aukai was a power napper, and it was a skill he was utterly proud of. He could nap almost anywhere, and it was a gift. It was rare that he didn’t enjoy sleep, but the nights that fell out of the norm tended to be brutal, exhausting, and mentally scarring. In a word, rough. Last night had been one of those nights, so Kai found that he was somewhat grateful for the knock at the door that had released him from the grip of sleep. He didn’t know who had knocked on his door or even why they had, but he didn’t particularly care. It was something to break the silence, something to fill the void; something to occupy the nervous energy that was slowly building within Kai, demanding that he do something to avenge the past. It was probably Al, anyway; he doubted the others would wake him up.
He dragged his hands across his face, groaning to himself. The images from his tormented dreams still plagued him, flashing through his head unrelenting and unforgiving. It wasn’t pleasant, and it wasn’t the first time that Kai had suffered so. His sister’s death – murder, he corrected – still haunted him after all these years. Although intellectually Kai had come to recognize that there had been little he would’ve been able to do to stop his sister’s fate, that didn’t change the weight of the guilt that settled on his chest with every breath. He’d been drowning in it for so long, and it wasn’t until the Order handed him a life-raft and pulled him to the safety of their proverbial canoe that he’d found the ability to make something of his life. He pinched the bridge of his nose, exhaling a few times, and waited for a few agonizing seconds until the nightmare finally unsheathed its claws and relented, and he was free – for the time being, at least, until the memories decided to strike again. He stood, rolling his right shoulder to crack the joint and release the tension from an old injury, and headed for the shower. As he waited for the water to heat a tad, Kai busied himself by straightening the blankets on his bed.
As usual, he found himself relaxing beneath the warm flow of water. Although Kai was not particularly spiritual, he loved the water – all kinds, too. Oceans, lakes, rivers, streams; you name it, he loved it. There was a connection there, one that had helped ground him after his world had been shattered. When his sister had died, he’d thrown his soul, his life to the ocean, and it had brought him to the Order – well, sort of. Kai was a navigator, like many of his ancestors; he had a knack for reading the stars, had a built-in compass, and a photographic memory that made it so he never got lost. Add to that his ability to pilot a wide variety of aircraft, and he ended up being pretty useful. He’d learned his navigation skills on the open water, and it was to the open water he was always drawn. Still, he was grounded here, in the Order, for a time. Revenge still eased the pain, although he held no illusions that it would heal the open wounds. He inhaled the steam, let it center him, and then went about his job of getting cleaning, washing away the last of the nightmare’s taint.
Two and a half minutes later, Kai had reluctantly pulled himself from the calming shower and had thrown on some clothes – a pair of jeans, and a dark gray t-shirt that only hid the tattoos on his torso. The thick, black lines, shapes and images that danced across his right arm, starting from the shoulder all the way down to his wrist, were clearly visible. Part of his Maori culture meant that he was heavily tattooed; his back and chest were also adorned. The tattoos were a rite of passage, and tended to mark important events in his life. Battles won; that sort of thing. Some people even had their faces tattooed, although Kai wasn’t sure he was ready for that level of dedication. He pulled on the combat boots he’d acquired. He wasn’t really a fan of the shoes, but he supposed it was necessary. He ran a hand through his hair just as his phone buzzed with an incoming message. He grabbed the device, scanning the screen as he stepped out of his room, closing the door behind him. A job? Huh. He slid the phone into his back pocket, weaving his way to the briefing room.
As he walked, he began to settle back into his normal rhythm; easy-going, laid back, go with the flow. Surfer dude, someone had once called him. He snorted; it was only partly true. The dreams had rattled him, but it took a lot to shake Ka’aukai to his core. He was the ocean, constantly moving, constantly shifting; he let the winds carry him where they may. He could hear the soft din of voices as he reached the briefing room. Had they started the meeting already? He doubted it. The Islander rolled into the briefing room with a half-smile of greeting to his fellow team members. “Tēnā koutou,” he said, sliding back into his native language. He glanced about; it seemed he was the last to arrive. “Sorry I’m late.” He shrugged one shoulder, gave the group another half-smile, and dropped into a chair next to Blanche.
“So, what’s the next mark?”

Alphonse Fournier "The call is out, it's time for the wolves to hunt." - ♠ - He had glanced up once the rest had entered, nodding as they took their respective seats. Glancing at Blanche as she spoke, he smiled apologetically. "Well, I suppose you should be ready to repack."
"Our job is in the wastelands in the western parts of the United States," he said, tapping the map. When advanced warfare became prominent, no land was safe. Many great nations fell and parts of others were lost to heavy pollution and radiation. Western United States was one of those desolate locations now dubbed 'the wastelands'.
That meant they would be equipped with gas masks and would come in with a varying degree of caution. The wastelanders didn't like intruders and strangers in on their territory. In addition, it was hostile lands. The air was always thick and in a consistent haze, making travels difficult without a proper guide. The wastelands also lacked a lot of cameras and technology. They would be unable to track the target through camera recordings, instead, they would have to rely on local chatter.
"It's not the most dangerous of cases, but considering the conditions, the council is hesitant to send in other teams in case things go south," he elaborated as he pointed to the laid out images of the creature. They were rather blurry. It looked like the product of the wastelands, like a radiated beast. It had a hound like body with two heads. There were no eyes on the head but a series of eyes along the creature's neck. It's tail was reminiscent of a scorpion stinger. "The locals call it the devil's hunter, killing individuals and dragging their soul to hell."
He pulled to another image, this time of a young woman, the limited files on her stated she was approximately twenty two years old. Her name was Maria Flores. "The council believes that the creator is Maria Flores, the locals claimed her to be a prophet - speaking of the coming of the creature before it was sighted." It was a good thing that wastelanders talked among one another and the talk spread quickly.
"We have to enter the wastelands, locate Flores, extract her, figure out the creature's weakness, track it down, and eliminate it. As per standard procedures." He glanced up at his team. This was not their first wasteland mission, but it was a grueling place where the people and the environment itself was a danger. The creature would be the least of their problems. "Any questions? If there are none, I suggest you go pack up and dress accordingly. We might be there for awhile if the locals don't want to reveal Flores's location. And even longer if the creature proves to be a challenge to track down."
They were skilled at hunting down creatures, using the grapevine of information to figure out the general area. Then, from there, they would use the tracks and prints and marks left behind by the monsters. However, the hard part was extracting information from the wastelanders. They were a tight lipped bunch, sometimes money, food, and water wasn't enough to get them talking.
He knew for a fact that his team had little wastelands experience other than Gale and himself. The locations from where the others originated from weren't wastelands, and he had found that little to none of them had military experience - and especially not experience in actually speaking to wastelanders so he hoped they kept a level head around the locals. At the very least, if they stuck to standard procedure about what to wear and stuck close to one another, they should - hopefully - be fine.

Ka'aukai Paewai
"What can I say except 'you're welcome', for the tides, the sun, the sky?"
♒
Just like usual, Al got right to the point. Still, he spared an instant to give Blanche an apologetic smile and a comment on her packing job. Then he launched into the briefing. Kai cocked his head to the side slightly, taking in the information as Alphonse rattled it off. Western United States? That was quite a distance. He frowned when he realized something. Western United States was a wasteland; they were going into a wasteland? Almost of their own accord, Kai glanced in Gale’s direction, but he remained silent. Kai snorted at Al’s next comment. The Council always sent Team Alpha on these sort of cases; the complicated ones. Why couldn’t they get an easy job? He sighed; life wasn’t that kind.
His dark eyes were drawn to the pictures on the table, and he curled his lip in disgust, letting out a shocked whistle. What in the hell was that thing? It was an amalgamation of the darkest mind; a two headed wolf, of all things. That image would never leave his nightmares, he decided. Its two mouths were open in a snarl, teeth bared and covered in foaming saliva. There were eyes on its neck, and he felt a shudder run down his spine. No matter how long he held this job, no matter how long he hunted monsters, he doubted he’d ever get used to the look of them. There was a scaled tail on its hindquarters, one that resembled a scorpion’s stinger – covered in chitinous plates, with a lethal point on the end. “Sure is a looker,” he quipped. The devil’s hunter; original. It did look like something that rose from the depths of hell, though. He’d give the wastelanders that.
He curled his lip again, exhaling sharply. God, it was horrifying. Why were the monsters always terrible looking? Sure, they were called monsters for a reason, but why were the all disgusting? Why couldn’t there be a fire-breathing chicken, or a giant squirrel? That would be so much easier. He certainly doubted his dreams would be plagued by fire-breathing chickens or giant squirrels. At least there weren’t snakes involved – yet. The desert wasteland was no doubt a haven for the scaled devils, and Kai was not looking forward to that.
He drummed his fingers on the table, already considering the time it would take to prep the jet, pack his things, and the time it would take to fly to the other side of the world. “Hm,” he responded when Al finished. “The jet prepped?” he questioned. As a pilot, Ka’aukai assumed he’d be flying the group there. He could land a plane anywhere, after all. He stood. “If it’s prepped, I’ll go pack and get ready.” He inclined his head in a respectful gesture to Al, and went to leave the briefing room.
A few minutes of walking had him back at his room, and he rapidly packed a dozen or so outfits, various weapons, his wallet, his cell phone, and his instruments. He threw in a few toiletries – his toothbrush, shampoo, that sort of thing. The whole process took about ten minutes, and after peering around his room for a moment in an affect to make sure he hadn’t forgotten anything, he swung his duffle over one shoulder and headed for the tarmac.
