"My favorite fruit is sttawberries." Amanda answered as they walked. "To be honest there was a boy back in my old pack who was my friend. I had started to gain a crush on him but when I confessed that I had a crush on him he laughed at me and said that he was just my friend because of a dare and he said he liked one of my main tormentors and they all laughed at me including him. They would always rub it in." Amanda explained.

hazel ruth janna Hazel noticed the female, her eyes now a striking blue, teeth sharpening slightly. She noted the surroundings and how isolated they had become. She knew that was a bad thing, and having Amanda here was even worse because she would hate for Amanda to get caught in a fight. She grabbed Layla's and Amanda's arms, pulling hem directly down the street and straight to the supermarket, ears elongating slightly, straining for any sound.
Her expression softened at Amanda's story, a small frown etching into her features. "I'm so sorry Amanda, you deserve better than that," she squeezed the girl's wrist before turning to cross the street once more, pulling them with her, faster now. If they made it to the supermarket, they would be safe. It was only a couple of yards ahead of them.

After Alex and Jay got a snack, Alex decided to go to the super, worker to see how the ladies were doing and see if he could help. Trotting outside the pack house, Alex shook out his hair to center himself. Then, he took a deep breath and slowly began to shift. Becoming covered in fur, he dropped onto all fours. Soon he became free from his human form and he shook out his long fur. Instantly he crouched down and then bounced off his paws and took off swiftly in a matter of seconds. Running across the plains he growled happily and soon made it to the cover of the trees. Prowling around the edge of the forest he soon picked up the scents of the females and trotted over to them and then padded out of the forest all of a sudden and right towards them.

Inara hugged her legs. Her eyes were locked onto her knees. She took a long steadying breath and nodded. "I don't hate you. I might have been angry and confused, but I never hated you." She clarified in a soft voice. She then cleared her throat and looked up at her brother. She couldn't stop him. She knew she wouldn't want to. She wanted her brother to be happy. "If you leave, please take some food and all the supplies you need." She said with a forced smile.
"But I don't really want you to leave. I mean, who will help me organize the study? That thing has been a mess since you left." She crossed her legs as she spoke about the study. The end of her sentence was in a much happier tone. She remembered him offering help. While she didn't like to admit she needed it, she was willing to joke about it.
--- I'm really sorry guys. Yesterday was a bad day for me. Next time, don't wait for me. )
Layla stumbled as the group lurched forward. While she was aware they were around her, she hadn't seen Hazel's hand grab her. She quickly regained her balanced and walked besides Hazel. She didn't look behind them, fearing what would be there. She yanked on Hazel's hold when she saw a wolf appear. She would have shifted if the familiar scent of Alex didn't hit her a second later. Why was he here, especially like this? Layla looked around to make sure none of the humans saw this wolf in front of them.
She spotted both of the pseudo alphas looking at them. Uncertainty was written in their form and Layla couldn't help but to smile a bit. At least Alex's showing up would scare the others away. After all, who knows how many others there were hidden in the trees. It almost looked like they were running for back up now. The male waved off the group in a gesture of dismissal. The female looked like she was going to fight it but she nodded. Layla had to resist waving the two off.
Relaxing for a second, she gave a sympathetic glance at Amanda. No wonder the girl was so unfriendly when they met her, she was probably use to friendly hands but twisted minds. "I'm sorry." She mumbled under her breath. She felt like she had to say something to this. She hadn't really been talking to anyone and letting Hazel talk for them. She didn't want to seem uncaring to Amanda or Hazel. Layla just had trouble with words. She attempted to brighten up with a small smile. "Let's go get some strawberries." She said.
She looked down at Alex. "Are you coming too? Or do you have some news?" She asked, a bit quieter on the second question.

Simon was honestly surprised to see how upset his sister seemed to be at his uncertainty. Even with her claiming that she didn't hate him- that she was only hurt and confused last time- he hadn't expected that reaction. He let out a soft sigh, before scooting over and rested his head on her shoulder, wanting to comfort her. He let out a soft chuckle at the comment of the study- he'd seen how bad it was first hand and he'd been wanting to get his hands onto it and clean the thing up.
"I thought you didn't want my help," he teased, scooting closer to her. He'd always been the cuddly sibling, the one who definitely showed his affection through hugs and cuddles. Of course the light tone quickly faded and he let out a soft sigh, knowing they'd have to talk about him running away. He'd been avoiding her for almost nine months now befause of it. "I'm sorry, Inny, for leaving you before," he whispered, he kept it quiet, hard to hear unless she was really listening for it.

Inara sighed as she relaxed into Simon. She wrapped her arm around him in a half hug. She didn't want to accept help really. She wanted to prove to everyone and herself that she could do it. To be frank, she also didn't trust anyone with her work. It wasn't just Simon, it was everyone. Having anyone in the study would make her feel nervous and antsy. Only alphas were suppose to read those files, right? She didn't know. She knew she and the beta was suppose to manage them. Alone. She was pretty sure these feelings could be traced back to her father and her mentor. Both of whom had independent spirits and, despite harsh teachings, she looked up to. An alpha, they told her, needs to be strong and works to lead the pack. She always took it as leading independently. After all, she was clingy to people when she was younger and saw those who could stand on their own as strong.
"But I need it don't I? I don't exactly know how to file...that much." She said, bouncing around actually admitting the fault. She was smiling a bit now. The alpha had tried to teach her and she did fine for a while. Inara found it more as a unnecessary chore than something needed. After the alpha passed, Inara found the papers stacking up. She got overwhelmed with the amount and just closed the doors.

Simon let out a soft snort as his sister skirted around her faults. It was typical Inara, thinking that just because she had a fault that she had to pretend it wasn't one. At least she would let him do the filing, it was something that he excelled in when he was getting his own training. Again, he'd be a fantastic secretary if there was that position in the pack. He always did well in the organization department, something that he knew that Inara struggled with. It was the only reason why he offered to help Inara if she needed it. He let out a happy noise as she wrapped him into a half hug, snuggling closer to her as he did so.
"Well, lucky for you you have a little brother who's good at filing, or really any admin stuff," he said with a soft chuckle, realizing she must not have heard his apology. Frankly he was glad for that, a little nervous for bringing up the subject.

Alex looked around slowly before shifting back to human form. Shaking out his clothes he looked at the girls and smiled. "I was just coming to see if you were all okay and if you needed help. You've been gone for a while." He said.

Inara thought of Simon working at a desk while organizing and taking calls. It oddly suited the smart werewolf. Even if he didn't want the beta job, really, it would be a lowkey beta job. The beta positon was meant to be someone who would keep everything in order and then alert the alpha if something was going wrong. The only thing missing would be him talking to the members and checking with everyone on their feelings. Perhaps once she choose her beta, they could work together with Simon.
"You might not be so happy when you see the mess you got yourself in. You better be prepared." She teased him. She looked over at him with a grin. "You are going to have to work hard to keep up." Honestly, she was a bit worried about his health, but filing papers never hurt anyone, right? As long as he got his rest, he would be fine.

"Maybe I'll just set all the papers on fire, start you up with new files," he grunted, before catching a look on his sisters face. Simon rolled his eyes before hugging good naturedly and nudging her sides, trying to make sure she knew he didn't actually mean that he wanted to do that.
"I'm kidding Inny, I'm kidding," he assured her with a chuckle, offering her a genuine smile. There was a small amount of excitement at the thought of actually having some type of purpose in the pack. Maybe others didn't feel the same way he did, when it came to having a purpose in the pack but considering he grew up being the alphas son he always felt like he had one, or had some job to do. It hadn't been the responsibility that made Simon run away, it'd been their father and the countless fights they had gotten into. He'd grown weary of being constantly called a mess up and a disappointment so he'd just left. But since he came back he'd just been floating around like an outsider, but there was a small flicker in his blue eyes.
(Simon will get thousands of paper cuts omg I might have him just yell and scare Inara cuz he got a paper cut XD)

(oml Inara would have a heart attack x.x You should do it though. )
Inara let out a tiny sigh, but still had a smile on. For a split second, she thought Simon actually thought that was a solution. "Let's not set fire to anything." She said. She thought about how large of a fire that would create. Then, she thought of a bonfire. Those were always fun. It would give the pack some time to bond. Simon was in her thoughts for this, but it was for the whole pack. With the tension floating around, the pack was slowly coming apart. A party around a bonfire at night would be perfect. They could cook a bunch of food and play a couple of games. It sounded childish, but it was a perfect way to relax.
"What if we have a bonfire?" She asked, unintentionally loud and in an excited tone. Now, she was bought on the idea. It was perfect.

"A bonfire?" Simon repeated apprehensively, although the look on his face said that he was thinking it over. It'd be a good bonding experience for the pack, something to help them relax and spend time with each other instead of worrying about the rogues. Of course Simon wasn't sure he'd go, the idea of being around so many people at once was just repulsive to him, but he had a feeling that Inara would drag him out and he'd have to find what little social skills he had again.
"It'd be fun for the pack, a good thing for them since everything's been so tense lately," Simon finally said, a small smile on his face at the thought of everyone actually having fun. He pulled his knew to his chest, blue eyes thoughtful as he mulled the idea over in his head.

Inara looked away. She was a bit worried that Simon didn't express any interest in going himself. She knew he wasn't a big people person, but surely this could be fun for everyone. Hopefully, it would be fun for everyone. There was some small part of her telling her that no one would want to go. Maybe it was too childish. She looked back at Simon with hopeful eyes. "Would you like it? You don't have to talk to people the entire night. Perhaps it can be apart of the full moon." She said.
(Urg, sorry for the short post. )

(You good, you good!)
Simon bit his lip at the offer, and he shifted a little. He really, really didn't want to go. He wasn't a big people person, so being in a crowd really didn't sound fun to him. With a soft sigh he offered her a smile, not wanting her to be upset or sad. "I'll go,but we shouldn't do it during the full moon. It'd be hard to control the blaze with us as wolves," he told her, wanting to reassure her that he'd go. He couldn't promise her that he'd enjoy it, because being around the pack all at once still made him fairly nervous. (Mine was smol too sorry!)

(Nah, it seems like it is time for the small posts. Dialogue can do that to ya. )
Inara saw her brother's nervous bite and shift. She was upset. She hoped this would prove an opportunity for her brother to properly bond with some of the other members. She had momentarily forgotten about his dislike for crowds. There was no use sending someone to a party and having them being upset the whole time. he would just be a wreak the entire time or be standing off to the side waiting for a time when he could leave. At least she would know Simon would happily be avoiding the party, and not just because he's nervous.
"No worries. You don't have to go. I'll steal you some food for you." She said with a shake of her head. She wore a smile still.

Inara nodded with a small smile on her lips. She couldn't lie. She was a happy her brother was going to, at least, attempt to enjoy the bonfire. It would be a great time for him to re-establish himself into the pack. "I'm thinking we could even have s'mores." She said with excitement laced in her words. It wasn't a secret the alpha loved sweets. They were one of her favorite things to eat. It was another thing to add to the pile of 'things that their father disproved of'. Yet, as much as she tried, Inara never stopped eating them. "Did you pick up s'mores materials?" She asked. She doubted Layla would pick them up just because Layla went for practicality over extras.

Simon couldn't help but smile at his sisters pleasure, his chest puffing out just a little bit at it. He wasn't looking forward to actually going, he doubted that it was a good way for Simon to be reintegrated into the pack, he'd much rather spend the night reading with his gecko, Emmet. Oh god, he really did sound like a shut in. He really needed this bonfire now. "Oh, uh yeah, I think so? We already had graham crackers, cuz, you know, those are good snacks for the pups but I picked up Marshmallows and chocolate. I was actually going to see of Layla would let me use the kitchen and make s'mores dip," he admitted, laying Down and watching the clouds pass by as they talked.

In Inara's mind, this was even better than what she had planned. Simon could make a s'mores dip, which would be a bit odd, but oh, well. Then bring said dip and everyone would love it. Nothing could bring the pack together like good food. Inara felt a bit pleased and smug about putting this all together. This could be her best plan so far. "You can still make the dip. I think it would be nice to try." She said. She still hoped some marshmallows would be left because cooking them was pretty fun.

"Are you sure? S'mores would be oerfect for the bonfire," Simon asked, brightening at the go ahead to make his dip. He always had the baking bug- even when he was younger and he was actually quite good at it. He hadn't baked in a while, too nervous to ask Layla to let him use the kitchen ever since he came back. He'd gotten the groceries in hopes of buttering the woman up so he could use it, but now he was a bit nervous to even ask. He still was dying to bake, though, and the s'mores dip wouldn't make much of a mess so she might, just might let Simon use her kitchen. All he needed was a pan and a measuring cup and he'd be set.

Layla shook her head to Alex's comment. "We aren't in need of any help now." She said. She decided to leave the part about the rogues out now that the almost conflict was solved. There was no need to cause any more panic. Layla would get a headache, if anything else happened. "But you are welcome to stay." She offered, trying to seem pleasant. She was okay with the idea of having one more member in their little group. After all, four seemed like the magic number to scare any unwanted company away. She was just not looking forward to trying to awkwardly add tidbits to the conversation. She blinked when Amanda spoke. She had totally forgotten to introduce the girl. "This is Alex, another member of the pack." She gestured towards the male. Then she moved her hand towards Amanda. "This is Amanda, a loner. She needed to get some fruit, so she is coming with." She ended with a nod.
---
"Of course! I'll probably still run to the store to get some extra marshmallows for the pups, since they love roasting them. But I think everyone will enjoy the dip." She reassured quickly. She was sure many would have the dip because it was going to be easier and taster than making a s'more. She knew the couple pack members who did not like fire would be very grateful. "I mean, we might have to bribe Layla or sneak into the kitchen, but I'm sure than won't be hard." Inara said with a shrug. In reality, Layla was perfectly reasonable on a normal day. It was just the women's passion which scared the members. She could get fired up very easily on sensitive topics and there have been threats. Someone has gotten scratched before. She knew her brother would be fine. Layla easily crumbled when meeting anyone sweet. Admittedly, it would also help Simon was her brother. Layla had a pitch of the traditional ways melded into her mind. She still saw alphas and betas as someone higher than her.

Alex nodded. "Yeah no problem." He said easily, rolling his shoulders a bit. "And nice to meet you Amanda. Where are we going to collect?" He asked, looking around slowly. He wasn't one for talking, but he could if they were on a subject he liked. He wasn't quite sure Layla was telling him everything, but he decided not to question the Healer.

Layla shook her head and glanced over at Hazel. Amanda was an odd one. She had never heard about a werewolf naming their wolf form. She figured it could be trauma that caused this, but Layla wasn't any doctor. Hopefully, Piper wasn't an actual wolf she had with her. That would cause more problems than one. Right now, she wasn't going to worry about that and instead worry about the suggested run.Going for a run would not be a smart idea. It would be a good way to get split up and the store was right next to them. "How about we run afterwards?" She suggested.
