Owlpaw laughed wildly, catching Pinepaw's eye as he rushed to hold down the other apprentice with his strong forelegs. "That wasn't too hard!" He exclaimed happily, "Certainly for two 'young' apprentices who play silly games." With a cheeky smile to Wishpaw, he stretched his front legs across her belly, using his weight to pin her down.

Pinepaw found herself uncontrollably giggling, but still managed to hold one of Wishpaw's forelegs down to assist Owlpaw. "Y'know, we may have a heated rivalry, Owlpaw," She began, "But we never thought about how strong we would be if we teamed up until now!" She glanced over at him and couldn't help but smile wider. "That'll show those baddies who's boss!" She exclaimed, directing her joking tone at Wishpaw.

"We'll be even stronger once you learn how to fight properly." Owlpaw smiled up at Pinepaw from where he sat. It seemed so easy to talk to the she-cat, and he hoped that they would stick together in the future. His attention was diverted when a butterfly flew over his head. With his eyes brightening, he sprang up and chased the flying insect for a few paces before jumping up into the air and batting it to the ground. Owlpaw picked up the tiny creature and carried it to Pinepaw. "A gift," he purred as he set it down, "for our truce."

Pinepaw eased off her grip on Wishpaw and made her way over to where Owlpaw was now standing, meeting him in the middle per se. She gazed down at the insect he laid down in front of her, eyes wide. Its wings were a beautiful bright orange, with black stripes in its own unique pattern. Though the wings had been slightly crumpled (undoubtedly Owlpaw's doing), Pinepaw was still transfixed. She managed to pry her eyes away from the intriguing specimen and look back at her friend's pleased face. She purred back, "Yes, indeed. Your gift has been accepted. To our truce!" Pinepaw got in a little closer and gave his shoulder a couple grooming licks. "You had some fur sticking up."

Owlpaw watched happily as Pinepaw studied the butterfly. It hadn't been hard to catch the insect in the slightest, what with it's slow movement and small brain. Nonetheless, he was glad that she seemed to like it, and he had to admit it was quite pretty. As the she-cat came over and gave his shoulder a few licks, he purred softly. "Thanks," he mewed as Pinepaw pulled away, "and I think you have some fur sticking up on your flank too." Owlpaw stuck out his paw and rubbed the only smooth spot on her side so that the fur stood up. "Much better." he laughed before settling down heavily on his side, blinking warmly up at her.

Playing right into his joke, she turned her head to where he stuck his paw. Watching him as he made the fur stick up in a different direction, she narrowed her eyes. (Lacking any seriousness, of course.) She let it stay for a moment just to humor him. "Thank you oh so much, Owlpaw." She said sarcastically. "I think I'm gonna keep it anyway."

"I'm always glad to be of help." he answered with false seriousness, dipping his head slightly to further the joke. "Especially when it has to do with something as important as your appearance." The tom smiled up at the she-cat before resting his head on the floor.

Pinepaw tutted, watching as he completed his head bow. The whole act seemed to amuse her. Deciding to go along with the act, she held her head high and attempted to stand taller. "You know, you'd make a wonderful adviser." She suggested, still with a bit of a mocking tone. There was silence for a couple more moments before bursting into another fit of laughter. "This is so silly!" The young she-cat admitted.

The tom mewed, "Alright everyone, Stop messing around and lets go!" Him and Honeyshine started towards the training hollow, Goldendawn smiled at the three apprentices, who were just play fighting.

As Owlpaw got to his paws, he gave Pinepaw a charming smile. "It may be silly," he admitted, "but you're right about one thing, I would make a fantastic adviser." The tom brushed past the she-cat, trotting happily after his mentor. He decided not to turn around to make sure Wishpaw and Pinepaw were following, but rather hold his tail and head high and chuckle quietly to himself.

((works for me!)) Hearing their mentors call for them, she whirled around. The excitement of battle training returned to her, and her eyes went wide with happiness. It was there that she could truly prove that her size meant nothing on the battlefield. That, and maybe she could find a chance to do some more teasing... Following behind Owlpaw, she trotted over to the other cats, following them over to the training hollow.

CinderBrook Sorry this took so long to set up. ) Mistdream slowly padded down the stairs after storing her herbs. The old medicine cat was already starting to ache. She considered sleeping the rest of the day or laying in her nest. However, she looked down in camp to see another group padding out and more cats milling around. If the clan wasn't asleep, the medicine cat shouldn't be. With no herbs to sort and nothing to collect, she went a level down to visit the elders. She figured they could use a visitor or an herb to sooth any joints. As she entered the den, she noted the sad lack of a milky scent often carried by queens. She knew mates and queens didn't often wander in, but the medicine cat enjoyed speaking to queen and their kits. She loved seeing the little bundles of fur race around and the queens with the light in their eyes. She was sure the elders missed them too. "Hello, Rainwind. Is everything okay?" She asked in her raspy tone. She gave the elder a small smile as she settled a foxlength away.

(Hello! Iโm back Oh and yeah I donโt mind Fernbrook joining the patrol ) Oakfrost nodded to Mintstream and began to look around for available warriors. Most cats seemed busy with their own duties. He considered asking Pearcloud but she wasnโt finished with her mouse yet so he let her be. He soon spotted Fernbrook nearby. โHow about we see if Fernbrook would like to come along?โ He suggested glancing to Mintstream to see what she thought.

Wishpaw flatened her ears. "Oh, you asked for it!" She stood up and shook as hard as she could. She fluffed out her fur, making a thick furry armor padding.

( zero that's okay, I don't mind) Rainwind lifted her head off her paws. She had been daydreaming peacefully while the sun warmed her flank, and she hoped for her sake and that of the other cats' that one of those apprentices wasn't disrupting her. Once she opened her eyes and spied Mistdream sitting across from her, she struggled to her paws. "Good afternoon Mistdream," she mewed sleepily, "I'm quite alright today." The elder took a few moments to blink the tiredness from her eyes, which was accompanied by a long yawn. "And how are you?" She asked once she had recovered herself, curling her greying tail around her paws. _____________________ Mintstream nodded, "That's a good idea." she meowed. As she was about to head over to the Warrior, she spotted a group of apprentices and their mentors leaving camp. Among them stood Wishpaw, her own apprentice. Before she had the chance to call out the group had disappeared, and she stared after them. I should have sought out Wishpaw earlier she thought to herself before she shook out her fur. I'll make sure to take her out hunting later today she promised, turning her attention back to Oakfrost. "Lets go." She mewed, although her tone wasn't as playful as it was before.

( โก Bun โก will we time skip the apprentices and the mentors to the training hollow soon?) Stopping next to Oakfrost and sitting down momentarily, Mintstream curled her tail around her paws and stayed quiet. She knew that once she was back out in the forest she would feel better, but at the moment she felt quite guilty. She turned her head to look back at the camp entrance, her ears straining to pick up any sound of the group of apprentices and warriors. ( brambleflight)

Mistdream curled her tail around her paws when she realized she had awoken the elder. She opened her jaw to apologize and excuse herself, but Rainwind spoke. Her tail tip twitched. She snapped her mouth shut, not daring to interrupt the elder. She knew apprentices were the elder's favorite target and hopefully it wasn't because they woke her up from her cat naps. Mistdream didn't want to mess up yet another interaction. "I'm fine," She said, not wanting to speak about the state of her limbs, "Do you need anything? More moss or herbs?"

Rainwind studied the medicine cat carefully before giving an answer, "My bedding is a bit dirty, and I will need some fresh moss soon." The elder's whiskers twitched, "But it is not your duty to bring me moss. That's what apprentices are for." she winked at the other she-cat before letting out a raspy laugh. With a twitch of her tail she pointed at Mistdream's legs, "Now, why don't you relax and tell me what actually happened to you. I may be old, but I'm not blind."

Mistdream smiled good-naturally at the elder's joke. She did see plenty of apprentices milling around. After this, she might ask a mentor if they could spare their apprentice. It wouldn't make her any friends among the younger cats, but she supposed that was the price she would pay. Rainwind's next words made the medicine cat stiffen a bit. She didn't want anyone to think her incapable of her job or cause anyone to worry. The she-cat's mouth opened and closed as she tried to think of a way to dismiss the elder's observation. Nothing came to her. She sighed and flicked her tail out of the way. "I get stiff joints. Usually, they aren't so bad. When it rains...it gets worse." She explained, not meeting the elder's eyes. She still felt like a young cat and knew she had many moons to live. Admitting this make her feel weak and old. She didn't dare admit this to the older she-cat. "I blame it on too many tumbles and leaps as a kit." She lightly joked.

Rainwind brought her paw up to her mouth and gave it a few licks before setting it back down. "Don't worry Mistdream," she mewed kindly as she picked up on the younger cat's uncomfortable tone, "I'm not going to judge your skills as a medicine cat based on the fact that you have pain in your limbs." The elder gave another short laugh, "Just look at me, I wouldn't know what to do if I pricked my paw on a thorn, let alone if I have stiff joints. So don't judge your talent based on one little problem." Rainwind finished with a smile to the medicine cat.

Mistdream dipped her head to the elder. At least there was one cat who wasn't worried. It calmed her nerves a fraction. She was still worried. If someone was at the border and too hurt to move, her hobbled pace might not be enough. She would have to take herbs from now on. "Thank you. I'll have to hope for an apprentice now. Have them help me harvest herbs." She joked lightly. She didn't say another about keep this between them. Sh figured the old cat would understand.

(Awww what an adorable cat <3 I love when they try to prevent you from doing any work by sitting on you or your computer. My own cat decided to sit on my neck a few minutes ago)
Letting out a low grunt of approval, Rainwind flexed her claws. "Yes indeed, apprentices are useful for quite a few things when they behave correctly." After a short pause, the she-cat began again "Until then, would you mind if I tagged along on a few of your herb collecting missions?" Rainwind asked carefully, "I would love to stretch my legs for a bit." She didn't want her request to intrude on Mistdream's business, but she also thought that the she-cat could use some company.
