" Would you like to sit together?" he asked, a genuine, warm smile on his face. " I'm Sleetfoot, by the way." He noticed her shiver at the cold breeze, and determined to sit whichever way he could shield her from the wind. No cat deserves to be so uncomfortable when they're trying to pay attention. |

He needed to learn about AstraClan if he was going to become a warrior, and that was something that he would not fail at. He grimaced as the annoying apprentice by the name of Plumpaw once again intruded into his personal space. He snapped his gaze to her at her question. Was she really so carefree that even in this important moment she would rather be off having fun? He simply couldn't bring himself to understand. " No," he hissed back at her in a whisper. " We should be paying attention." He had to admit, though, that if gatherings weren't such important rites of passage he would certainly have stayed back at camp. { I gotta say, writing for Snowpaw is so much fun because I get to express all of the grumpiness inside me and channel it through a surly, hateful character hahaha. } |

Silverstar then looked over to Bluepaw for a moment before continuing her speech, though her tone held something she had rarely shown. It was laced with sadness. Not that any cat would really be able to tell considering she never showed feelings similar to that. "In the past moon, we have had a great loss. Skypetal and Hornetpaw have moved onto StarClan." Her apprentice's mother had died. She reminded herself once more. A promising apprentice had also died in this season. A feeling of dejection seemed to rise in her chest but she held the feeling down for now.
Soon her gaze picked up a serious air, and she felt her claws unsheathe. "There has been a sighting of a wolf on our territory. It appeared starving. Be on the look out." And with that warning, the she-cat stepped back, though she watched the cats in the crowd for a reaction. The only warrior to help in that battle was Stormshade, and that still made her inwardly cringe for just remembering it alone.
Hailstar had watched with what could have looked like morbid curiosity at what the other leader had been saying. A wolf had been on the loose. He inwardly noted. Starving at that. Not that it wasn't something to brush off, but he knew well that something seemed off about what Silverstar had said. Perhaps something she had been hiding.
Regardless, he soon stepped up to view all of the other cats now, his blue gaze drifting over all the many different faces in the crowd. It was indeed his turn now.
Asterbreeze nodded quietly as she looked up at Silverstar's retreating form. Sparrowmoon, the cat beside her, seemed to be quite the friendly cat. In a way it was weird to think about. They were clans who, at the moment, could break out into a full on battle. But here they were instead, chatting with one another, she herself was chatting with the other she-cat! Still, she wouldn't dwell on the small thought all that much, instead she simply nodded and comfortably sat down beside the queen. "Don't mind if I do." She responded with a carefree tone, though she voiced it low. No disrespect to AetherClan, but she'd rather pay more attention to Hailstar than the silver-furred leader, she was so sadly afraid to admit.
