OOC;; Hello everyone! This is a My Hero Academia roleplay, centered around the students of U.A. High! Canon-wise, this is taking place after the Sports Festival arc, during a sort of 'rest period'. All canon characters are welcomed, along with OCs! Feel free to throw 'em in. It's a Jump In roleplay, so the plot is in the air. No matter what, just remember to have fun!
Shoto Todoroki sighed. Cold, misty vapors floated through the air in front of the boy's slightly parted lips, slate gray and icy blue eyes watching dispassionately as the vapors dissipated mere seconds after his exhale. The fleeting spectacle only held his attention for a brief moment, before his cool gaze drifted towards the room as a whole.
Lunch Rush, he knew, was a very busy place due to the fact that the majority of students from the Academy's various classes converged there during lunch and breakfast hours, but it wasn't until today that he really looked around him and noted just how active the massive cafeteria was. The chatter was loud and carefree as friends, rivals, and enemies sat down at their tables and talked freely about whatever it is they wanted. The lines were constantly moving, and the entire energy of the place was high. Despite all of this, however, the lunchman hero Lunch-Rush and his aides helped serve everyone with an upbeat thumbs-up, each lunchline offering first-class meals to the students of U.A.
Shoto's gaze moved from the bustling heroes-in-training, down onto his own plate of food. Truthfully, he hadn't originally been feeling very hungry when he first entered the area. There was quite a few things on his mind, and all of it came back to one thing...his future in Class 1-A. Using his Hot side in the battle against Midori-...
"...No. Regretting my choices won't help me improve..." Shoto murmured to himself, his voice quiet, even to his own ears. Exhaling once again, and allowing his eyes to slowly open, the teenager straightened his posture from where it had been slightly hunched over his table, smoothing out the scrunch in his brow. There was no use in hesitance or second-guessing himself. He would give his classmates his all...his all, and he would expect nothing less from them. Doing anything less would be disrespecting them, and himself.
Mind cleared - at least, for the moment, Shoto looked down at his plate of grilled cheese. The steam that had been wafting off of the bread was gone, and the cheese seemed almost rubbery due to it being left on the plate for so long. It was a sad, sad sight, that almost made his spirit lessen. Hmph...as if.
Pressing his calloused left index finger against the simple meal, Shoto allowed the ever-present heat to travel from his core, moving through his hands, and out of his finger. Within a brief second, the grilled cheese sandwich was steaming hot, cheese melting from the sides.
A smirk formed on Shoto's lips. Baby steps.
Hunger gnawing at his stomach, the young Hero-in-Training took a healthy bite out of his piping hot lunch. Cool, heterochromia eyes widened ever so slightly. His taste buds tingled delightfully.
The grilled cheese...it was delicious.
