snow's name rater
Hi everyone! I'm Snow (or Astrid to some, but I don't think the people who remember that come on here much anymore! Either one is completely fine) and I famously made tons of name raters and name-the-apprentice games. I haven't made one on the new forums which is craaazy because that was like... my thing on the old forums. Anyway, I decided to make this one simple just because I don't have a lot of time anymore to do fancy ones, but I want to see all the beautiful names.
If you're new to name raters, it's simple: you post a list of warrior cat or tribe cat names that you've come up with, and I'll rate them. I haven't decided if I'm going to do a 1-5 scale or 1-10 scale (I have experience with both and they each have their pros and cons) so I might switch it up sometimes. I'll have a key to whichever system I'm using at the time posted below.
rules
-- 10 names per post (you can post more after I rate the first batch)
-- I'll give reasons if I feel it's necessary, if not I'll just leave the number rating
-- you may include which clan a cat is from, or a description of a fanclan, or a description of the cat if you think it'll help me judge (optional)
-- my absolute favorite names will be posted in the snow's favorites section, with credit
-- I tend to prefer more traditional names, but you never know

1 -- plain bad
2 -- not good
3 -- i'm not a fan
4 -- ehh
5 -- it works but isn't great
6 -- a solid name
7 -- a good name
8 -- a great name
9 -- personally really like it
10 -- one of my favorites

Ravenbeak -- 2.5 I'm honestly torn on this one, beak is a super cool suffix but it can only be used with bird prefixes, plus cats don't have beaks

Tinyflame- 7 Olivebranch- 4 Whispersong- 6 Shiverstep- 10 I love this one, wintery names are my favorite! -step is one of my fav suffixes but I've rarely seen shiver! Brightfeather- 7 Darkstorm- 8 Duskblossom- 8 I usually don't consider blossom a suffix but this name is very dark and sultry Dawnflight- 7 (I hope you liked them, I wanted to make them sound nice when you say them, tell me if I succeeded. I have returned with more! Snowfall- 5 so pretty <3 Frogleap- 5 I imagine a gray or brown patterned cat who Mistypool- 4 solid Moonleaf- 2 Silversea- 3 solid for a clan that lives by the sea, Silverlake would also be good for a lake territory cat Lilylake- 3 both parts are really pretty but I'm not a huge fan of the alliteration... this would be really pretty for a Riverclan cat though Brokenheart- 3 Lostpath- 3 this sounds like a spooky Dark Forest name, or like a ghost cat story apprentices would tell Icygaze- 3 this reminds me of a white, sort of fierce cat like Frostfur Forestfire- 2 I don't really like fire as a suffix, maybe Forestblaze... Treeblaze would be so funny (Please rate these I tried hard, I did steal two from the chronicles of narnia however) why did I forget about my name rater for a month  also which two are from narnia? I don't know very much about the series but I love the first movie |

(Lilylake and Silversea are from Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Also known as the ocean travel book. They were options for naming a part of the water that was covered in beautiful lilies. Thanks though.)

Torrentcloud- 2 honestly this is creative but I don't think it flows super well. torrent is a really interesting prefix Splashflower- 4 this is super cute Duskfall- 5 I've used this name before, I love it! it's so mysterious Oceansong- 4 solid for a clan by the ocean Sparrowfrost- 4 this is interesting, makes me wonder about the cat who has this name Cascadestorm- 2 I like the prefix and suffix but not together Wolfshade- 4 nice!
