Wolfstar sat down and curled his tail around his paws. "We have two new apprentices among us!" He let the crowd of cats murmur for a moment before raising his tail as a sign of silence. "Sagekit, Sootkit, step forward!" He meowed, he was radiating pride. "Sagekit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Sagepaw. Your mentor will be..er... myself." He jumped from the place he was standing, holding his head up high, and padded over to the two apprentices. He stopped in front of Sagekit - now Sagepaw - and waited her to touch her nose to his.

Wildpaw, feeling mischievous, slowly snaked his paw foreward and then swatted Mudpaw's tail. Quickly he looked away and at their leader, but it was taking everything he had not to lose his composure.

Wolfstar wore a puzzled expresstion on his gray-and-black face. "Sagepaw..." he meowed. "Aren't you awere that we currently have a Medicine cat, and his apprentice..." his head was tilted. He jerked his head to the kit's mother. "Did you know about this?" The question sounded harsh, but he was just curious; his blue eyes were just as confused as his face.

Sunfall perked up; what was happening? Could this have something to do with the vision he just had? He chose not to speak; this would be a matter for Wolfstar to handle.
"Not anymore!" Wildpaw hissed, swipping again at Mudpaw's tail. "Looks like you've got a new apprentice!"

Wolfstar chuckled before straightening up again. "Unless Mudpaw or Sunfall steps down so you can become a Medicine Cat..." he meowed. He knew if you wanted to become something; you would go on and on until you retrieved it. "Sunfall, Mudpaw." He mewed. "Do any of you think this is right? Any visions from StarClan?" Wolfstar knew he should be asking inside his den and not so out in the open like this; but this was an important time.
