this is a powers camp where kids from 12-16 go to learn about how to utilize their powers against for good. don't power play, god-mod, yada yada yada, i'm sure you know the rules to the game. one special rule I have for this particular rp though is that you character only one has power. in roleplay please use proper grammar, ooc knock yourself out with text talk, i'll tell you though that i don't speak text talk so... *shrugs helplessly* oh, and literacy doesn't matter to me just use sentences that give me something to reply to. please and thank you!))
Liberty smiled as she sat herself down at her usual table (right table in the back) for dinner. Today she chose to be 5 feet four inches (per usual) and have waist long midnight black hair and bright blue eyes. Tapping the table with the silverware impatiently she turned to Leo who sat next to her and asked, "Where's Lilian?" She craned her neck around to try to find her best friend.
Ivy took off her backpack and threw carelessly on her bed, and pulled out her phone checking for texts with a sighed. Her boyfriend still hadn't texted her back, pushing her long honey blonde hair back "Whatever," manner, she exited the cabin ignoring the other girls in her cabin who were giggling on their bed. "Dinner bell rang ten minutes ago," she announced, her foot already out the door as it slammed behind her. Jogging down she took her seat at the left front table.
Dixon sat quietly in the middle right table, as he made sure his twin sister, Ivy, actually arrived to dinner. Searching the crowd for nothing in particular, he noticed the chatter level was pretty low, though he took into consideration the lack of people at dinner yet. Toying with the small crescent moon choker on his neck, he idly wondered how many they were expecting here this summer.

(Eyyy, what's up girl)
Nyeli glanced around the room and quielty slid next to the boy at the table. She gave him a soft smile before going back to writing in her notebook. She was writing to her mother and brother, who had sent her to this camp. Her brother had been here before and it hepled him control his powers.
Logan slid next to another girl, taking out a sketchbook. He glanced up at the girl and gave a cheerful hello.

(hey! and the sky is up:) sorry, I missed your post. you're quite the rp-er arent' you?) Dixon returned the smile, as he fiddled with the some more with the necklace. "Who are you writing to?" he finally asked after a long silence. Dixon looked at the girl wracking his brain to see if the girl had been here before, this was only his second year but he had encountered many others like himself last year.
(which girl is Logan with? either or...??)

Jax was new to the camp, and was nervous about meeting new people. He walked slowly over to a table that was empty. He sat down, moved his shaggy blonde hair out of his eyes and looked down at the table.

Ivy studied the newcomer, as somewhat of a veteran at this camp she had come to know a lot of the kids. Staring blatantly, she decided to see what he was up to, totally missing the nervous cues though that wouldn't have stopped her. Easily sliding into the bench across from the boy, she initiated conversation. "Hey, I'm Ivy." ((I missed your post again...agghhhalljfa. I'm so bad at this.))

(It's fine. I don't mind at all. By the way, what kind of power can they have?)
Jax looked up at her, and then back down. "I'm Jax." He wasn't sure about her, but he knew it was better to converse than the opposite.

((pretty much any power. Ivy has the power of growing plants. Dixon has the power of controlling shadows. Liberty the power of teleporting. *shrugs* It's kinda up to you.)) Ivy noticed Jax being less talkative, deciding that her self-assigned mission would be to coerce him out of his shell. "Are you a newbie here?" Ivy asked trying to seem conversational, she really wasn't used to this nice girl thing. Usually she had her girls and they only talked to newbies if they had an aura. Of course, Ivy couldn't see auras, so she was going out on a limb.

(Okay, I think he will be able to manipulate electricity, if that is okay).
Jax nodded and looked at Ivy with bright blue eyes. "Yeah, this is my first time. How long have you been here?"

((that sounds like an epic power! that's fine. ivy is 15. ))
Ivy's bottle green ones stared back, game for a staring contest if need to be. "Since about when I could come...so," she thought, "12 years old. How old are you?" Sizing the kid up she thought maybe younger, 12 or 13 maybe.

(Thanks)
So far, he liked this girl. She didn't stand down and had an air of confidence about her. "13," he said as he kept eye contact.

"Ahh," Ivy answered, her eyes roaming around the room, not particularly looking for someone but at the same time she was. "I think they're going to serve dinner soon," she stated, craning her neck around trying to find camp director, Mason. Mason usually talked a bit before eating, especially on day one of camp. Mason, a somewhat short guy with big shoulders and sandy brown hair, let his hands catch fire quickly grabbing everyone's attention. Mason stood up on a chair, gathering up his breath. "Welcome everyone. I'm Mason you're head director here with my wonderful wife, Mandy. Here's some quick things. No purpling at all, under any circumstances. I honestly don't want to deal with that. Don't kill each other with you're powers. Only maiming, if you really want to injure someone," he joked before considering it. "Anyway, curfew is at 11 o' clock this year. And now it's time fore food! Come on up grab a plate, step in line, and knock yourself out." Mason stepped down and let the kids have at it.

Jax looked around. He was definitely going to wait until after most people got their food. "Is he serious about people maiming each other?" Jax had been sent here by his mother to learn how to control his power after an incident had happened.

Ivy laughed. "Only if you get on someone's bad side," she answered honestly, getting up. "It doesn't usually happen don't worry about it Jax. You coming?" She stood her barely noticeable eyebrow quirking, noticing that he had not yet gotten up. ((sorry i'm watching WCF have a heart attack bc the sigs are gone and you can't make surveys anymore.))

(It's fine)
Jax shook his head. "I would rather stay back. Too many people, mean too much electrical current." He used that as an excuse to stay away from most people.

Ivy snorted, and sauntered away. She figured he must be an electrical guy then. Going up in the line she waited. Twirling her waist long blonde hair, she found that they were serving chicken again. Ugh, chicken nuggets?she thought, whatever. She grabbed ten chicken nuggets and some fries. Checking that condiments were on the table she made her way back, after talking with her friends. She apologized for not sitting with them, and sat back down. Liberty stared, jaw slack. Ivy Maizer, did not just sit with anyone. She sat with the elites. The pretty girls. The elites. She didn't sit with the newbies. Shaking herself she went back to her nuggets with Leo.

Jax was wondering why Ivy was sitting with him and not the girls she was just talking to. As soon as she sat down, it was the first thing he said. "Why are you sitting over here and not with your friends?"

Ivy hid a grin, and forced her self to shrug nonchalantly. She dug into her food. "Maybe I'm sick of them," she suggested offhandedly through a mouthful of a fry. "Why don't you make other friends?" she challenged back, looking up at him with a pointed look, daring him to answer.

Ivy shrugged. Oh shoot didn't mean that..,she thought mind racing. She shoved another chicken nugget in her mouth after pouring some BBQ sauce on her plate and dipping the nugget in it.

Ivy let the uncomfortable silence fall before filling it. Choosing her words carefully, she barked out, "Would you like me to sit with my friends?"

Jax took a moment to think. "No" he said truthfully. He had no friends outside of camp, and he was actually lonely. It was nice to have someone to talk to.

Ivy nodded gruffly, the sounds of happily chattering teens and clinking of silverware filling their silence. Making note of his quietness she decided to sic her brother on him as well at some point. Dixon had a way with quiet people. Feeling that the silence was done, she queried softly, "You going to eat?"
