- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Maplestone Maplestone nodded. "Look around as much as you'd like," she replied, her teeth showing in a soft grin. Rattlesnake nodded to her with a grin, before turning and looking around camp. Dream tapped him on the shoulder and pointed with his tail to two different kits. Mottlekit and Mistkit. "Want to go talk to them?" the tom asked. Rattlesnake studied Mistkit, then looked at Mottlekit. It seemed a good place to start.

(Oops. Long reply ahead, mintedstar/fur. Sorry lol) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Mistkit Mistkit was sitting still a few fox-lengths away from the fresh-kill pile, having just finished savoring her favorite breakfast: a blackbird. She was now cleaning any stray feathers or pieces of meat from her face, swiping a dainty paw across her whiskers. Her recently groomed tail was neatly curled around her back paws as she subtly eyed a very young kit with another, larger, cat. She presumed that this cat was going to be the one to adopt that kit, if nothing went wrong in their relationship. She saw many futures where the she-kit got to leave the home with this cat, but also a few where she didn't. This kit has seen other cats before, she remembered, and it didn't work out for her. Pity. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Mottlekit Mottlekit was feeling a bit on the edge of his tail at the moment. Yellowkit was currently taunting him, again, about his "useless" power, and he hated it. He wished she would go away. She wouldn't think his power was useless when he blew up in her face, now did she? The haughty yellow hairball. He'd show her useless. "Leave me alone," he hissed, showing his fangs. He swiped at her with a shaking paw, his claws unsheathed. Yellowkit only danced out of the way, laughing. Wavekit and a couple others were watching as well. Mottlekit wished he could burn those mocking looks off their faces. He wasn't useless. They were useless! He'd prove it if it was the last thing he did. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Yewkit Yewkit nodded. "Okay." Her paws tingled with excitement and interest at the fact of getting to see real hunting. She wondered if Goldspark would use her power to do it, or if she would hunt the traditional way. However she did it, though, Yewkit knew she wanted to watch.

(Can I try for Puddlekit? Here's info on my cat) Name: Fishinghawk Gender: Female Appearance: A brown tabby cat with white patches. Peircing blue eyes and battle scars. History: Fishinghawk was born to a far away clan, but when it was a attacked and taken over my rogues, she ran away with her two siblings. Fishinghawk and her siblings live about two days journey away from the nursery, by a stream. Her and her siblings convinced some cats to join them, and now they are a small clan of 6 cats. Personality: Fishinghawk is a boisterous, playful cat. She loves swimming and hunting more than anything, and though she is good with people she would often prefer to be out hunting a nice trout. She was the mediator between her siblings, trying to solve there arguements well providing food for them. Fishinghawk would love to help out a kit, and finds the idea of this nursery intriguing. (I'm sorry if you didn't understand the rules, ivythorn, but Puddlekit is a level kit, and can only be adopted by Commoners and up (roleplayers with 1-2 kits adopted here already). So, since you're a Beginner, you can start with the level kits, and then adopt Puddlekit. Sorry if this sounds confusing. cx' It's just the way I set up this roleplay way back then; I guess so it would make an objective for people to stay and roleplay. I can put Puddlekit on hold for you, though, if you want. So when you become a Commoner you can be free to try to adopt him.)

Fishinghawk padded into the camp, alert and watchful. She had heard good stories about his place, but it didn't hurt to be careful. She swept the camp with her blue eyes, looking at the dens that must hold many kits and queens. Fishingclaw wished that there was water nearby. She had the power to manipulate water, and always felt calmer when it was near. "Hello" Fishinghawk cried out softly, hoping that a cat would tell her where to go and what to do. She didn't want to scare any of the kits. She stopped and licked her paws in the middle of the camp, waiting for someone to greet her. Maplestone360

"Hello.. Mapleshade" Fishinghawk mewed, looking the new she cat over "I'm Fishinghawk. I'm here to meet with the kits." Fishinghawk dipped her head in greeting, trying her best to be polite when she just wanted to run around in excitement. None of her siblings or clanmates had special powers like her, and she was very exited to meet the kits, kits that she had been like.

As goldspark and Yewkit arrived at the forest, Goldspark felt a bit homesick for the forest where she lives. She shook it of and started to check the forest for prey. Soon she spotted a squirell eating a nut. First I'll show Yewkit the common way of hunting. She sneaked towards the squirell and leaped at it. She did land awkwardly, but sattisfied that she caught something warm to eat. She gave the squirell to Yewkit. "Do you want me to show you the other way of hunting?".

But she isn't very nice," he added. Scarletpaw had no interest in kits like him. She thought they only got in her way. Fishkit thought she could even be a bit annoying sometimes. He huffed.
Sorry for my poof. Life and school decided to take over my life for a week. x.x ] Ambermist looked at the kit. " Well, I'm nice, so I'm not like her in that aspect. Don't worry about that." After a moment's pause, he asked,"What do you want to do now? Play another game or what?" He wanted to get to know the kit, but he left what they would do up to Fishkit.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Yewkit "What other way?" Yewkit asked, curious. The squirrel at her paws smelled warm and fresh, unlike the meager mouse she'd eaten earlier. Hah. Pun intended. "What game should we play?" he asked. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Ashkit Ashkit was sitting outside the youngest kits' den, keeping his tail curled tightly around his paws. The side of the den was shadowing him from the entrance of the cavern, but he didn't care. Every cat knew who he was anyway, and to stay away from him, even if he was hard to see at the moment. Well, except for her, he thought, his fiery gaze following a brown-and-white she-cat as she peered inside the den. She's new. So, she probably doesn't know her way around. Or know who I am, he observed. "No one's in there," he mewed, giving the she-cat an apathetic stare. "They've all gone to eat their fresh-kill a long time ago."

"Oh hello," Fishinghawk said carefully, looking the small gray kit up and down thoughtfully as she backed out of the nursery. "Whats your name? I'm Fishinghawk." The gray kit looked sad, with an angry fire in his eyes. "How long have you been here little kit." Fishinghawk wondered "what brought you here?" Fishinghawk didn;t break eye contact with the kit as he looked up at her. "Do you want anything to eat?" Fishinghawk finally asked, looking towards the fresh kill pile. " I could fetch something for you if you'd like... Or we could go hunting for something better to eat" Fishinghawk added mischievously. "I'm from a group of cats that lives by the water, we fish. Have you ever tried fish?"

(I asked for it. xP ) Dream eyed Mistkit with a great interest. Rattlesnake had his head turned in the direction of Mottlekit. "So," said the tabby in a small voice. "Split up for now and see if we can get them in the same...heh, den together later on to meat us both or should we go talk to one and see if it works out?" "I'll talk to the she-cat if you talk to the tom," Dream said, grinning. It looked like the tom-kit was about to explode with anger and Dream felt his mate could deal with the fiery tempered kits more easily than he could. "Unless you want a challenge?" Rattlesnake shrugged, grinning, since talking to any kit was always what made him smile. "We're both the ones who have to get along with them if they come with us, so...she-cat for me, since you need to get to know the angry fellow over there." And before Dream could protest, however briefly, Rattlesnake was padding in Mistkit's direction. "Hey," he said, dipping his head when he approached. "My name's Rattlesnake. And you?" Dream looked after him in exasperation, if amused exasperation. Then he turned and walked toward Mottlekit, keeping low to the ground as if he was trying not to be noticed from the beginning. It looked like the tom-kit was in the middle of a fight. He coughed, trying to get the other kits' attention. "Excuse me," he said, blinking his single eye. "But...no power is useless."

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Ashkit "I'm Ashkit," the mottled gray tabby replied, meeting Fishinghawk's gaze. "Been here for three moons." After a moment, he replied to her question about prey, "I already ate earlier. I might've had fish before; I don't remember. All fresh-kill tastes the same to me." And he meant literally. All the prey he touched burnt to a crisp before he could eat it, causing it to taste bitter and stiff. But it was the only taste he knew, so he was used to it. He had to eat to survive, after all. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Yewkit "O-okay," Yewkit mewed quietly, feeling embarrassed. She bent down to take a bite from the squirrel, the tantalizing taste filling her mouth. She hoped Goldspark wouldn't consider her greedy for accepting the prey, it was just so good... Should she offer the rest to Goldspark? Or not? She didn't know... - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Mistkit Mistkit's gaze flickered over to a large tabby as he padded over to her, introducing himself. "Mistkit," she replied, examining him from head to tail and wondering who he was. Rattlesnake, huh? Interesting. For a moment, she peered into a few of the tom's futures, just to see what she was working with. They all seemed very confusing, with many different possibilities spiraling in infinite directions. Rattlesnake was a complicated cat. There were even a few timelines where he turned out evil, although she didn't think they were very likely. Hmn. Best just stay in the present for now. What was evident about Rattlesnake, though, was that he seemed to want to adopt her. Better to get his intentions sorted out sooner than later, right? "So, you're here to try to adopt me, yes?" she "asked" him. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Mottlekit Mottlekit swiveled his head around at the sound of a mew coming from behind him. It was another tom, but this one was much larger than him, and he only had one eye. Mottlekit stared. He wasn't afraid to stare. It was that cat's fault for getting involved in matters he shouldn't have. "Well, how would you know?" he asked, glaring at the tom even though he had defended him. "You don't have a power, do you?" Mottlekit didn't want Yellowkit and the others seeing him as even more of a weak fool because an adult had to save him from a mere scuffle. He was uncomfortably aware of their judgmental gazes burning his pelt, even though his own was fixed on the cat in front of him. "Well?"

"All fresh-kill tastes the same to me." What does that mean? Fishinghawk wondered. She wasn't as glutinous as her sister, but she could appreciate good fresh kill all the same. Fishinghawk looked at the fire in the kits eyes, and put two and two together. "Do you have fire power, that so cool!" Fishinghawk enthused. "Too bad about the fresh kill though! Still, you must be able to do all sorts of cool things with your powers!" Fishinghawk streached out her paw, preparing to put it on Ashkits shoulder.

He blinked his eyes, as of yet unaware of what she could see in his many futures. His tail flicked and he looked at her, wondering how he should introduce himself. He supposed that getting names was a good first step. "I've been here before," he started. "And I thought that looking to see if there were any kits who might want to be adopted by me might be nice." (The stuff in his future is...interesting. xD ) --- "I do," answered Dream in a clear voice, figuring that 'immortality' and 'invincibility' counted as a power. "My family is also full of cats with all sorts of powers." His eyes flickered to Yellowkit and he seemed to narrow his eye just to see if he could figure the kit out. Why was he bullying... "What's your name?" he suddenly asked Mottlekit.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Ashkit Ashkit wondered how she had guessed his power so fast, then he realized that if a cat looked hard enough, they would probably be able to tell. The unusual quality of his eyes—as if they had an internal flame—and the faint smoke hazily rising from his pelt, surely gave it away. He wasn't like other kits, that was for sure. But, when Fishinghawk reached to touch his shoulder, he realized that she hadn't figured out his power completely. Jerking back, he gave a shrill meow of alarm, "Don't touch me!" He could hear Yellowkit give a huff of boredom behind him, almost surely deciding to pad away and torment him again later. Sure enough, the other kits began to clear away behind him, and he was left with a stranger he didn't know and no snide comeback to save him from embarrassment. He felt an awkwardness stretch between them. Suddenly, he remembered that the tom had asked for his name, and he blurted, "Mottlekit," his eyes wide.

She accidentally touched his pelt, and flinched throwing up a small barrier of water between her paw and Ashkits pelt, She rested her paw on his grey fur for a moment in shock, before sliding it off in horror. "Oh my goodness I'm so sorry. Does water hurt you?" A thick puff of steam filled the air where they had touched, clouding up the air around them. She hadn't thought about it when she had surrounded her paw with water. She didn't have much power over the element,. It wasn't raining, and there was no water nearby, so she could only summon a little bit. She hoped she hadn't hurt the kit at all. What a terrible start that would be. She looked up the the steam as it drifted away up into the sky. She set a silent prayer to the clear sky that she hadn't hurt the kit. She didn't know what gods to believe in, Fishinghawk had heard of many on her travels.

"Dont't wory. You can eat the whole squirell if you want." mewed Goldspark when she saw that Yewkit is liking it so much. She noticed a bird on a low branch, not far from where they were standing. She lifted her tail slowly and sent electricity into it. Please let me aim it right. Goldspark didn't want to embarass herself in front of Yewkit by burning the bird. She shot a little lightning bolt into the bird and it fell down, twitching. "And that is how I hunt with my powers" she said with a smile.

He studied Fishinghawk's face, wondering why she seemed interested in his power and not at all concerned about how dangerous it actually was. But, if she knew about his past... she might think otherwise.

"Its a good thing you don't remember, its terrible. The river's half frozen and its sooo cold" the she cat laughed. "I guess you don't have to worry about that, you're always warm."
Fishinghawk looked at the little cat, who looked sad and confused. Of course she realized the drawback's of his power, how he couldn't touch anyone without worrying. She remembered her childhood, playing with her siblings, leaning against her mom. This kit couldn't do any of that.Still, she didn't want to focus on the negative.
"You don't have to worry about hurting me. I can just protect myself with water." Fishinghawk said softly, smiling down at the kit. "I have quite good control of it I've had quite a bit of practice moving water around to fish. My siblings didn't even have to learn how to hunt, I could catch enough fish for everyone.!"
