"Only you can believe all is lost but I know with time, nothing is lost." I just recently got home... So I'll get my starter out soonish...
As for video games... I'm working on making them so I try to play a lot of different ones especially if it is even partly an RPG...

[ video games are like rping but instead of words, you actually have control of the character. you see their reactions, hear their thoughts and choose what kind of hell they go through. ]

"Only you can believe all is lost but I know with time, nothing is lost." Well, I love Kingdom Hearts... I literally wouldn't be alive today if it was for that game series... I also love Elder Scrolls, Dishonored, Thief, Sly Cooper, Harry Potter, Left For Dead(only shooter that I like...), Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, White Knight Chronicles, Pokemon, Etrian Odyssey... And a few others that I can't remember off the top of my head...

Zehmira
If there was anything Zehmira disliked, it was waiting. Adrenalin pumped through her veins. It was enough to dull the pain of her wound for the time being, but it also made her as jumpy as a rabbit. In a way she envied Kade. His came with the burden of others' survival, but at least he knew what was going on most of the time. At least that gave him an ounce of control. "Any news?" she asked.
"Shh." Had Kade seemed more annoyed when he hissed out the sound, Zehmira might have been offended. But she could see that her voice was painful to him, and so she dropped it. All of the assassins knew better than to pester Kade when he was concentrating.
She forced herself to relax about the others. The fire might have been her fault, but surely all of them had gotten out fine. That was what they were trained for. She looked down at her wound. The sight of blood made her wince, and for the first time, she became aware of a stabbing pain just below her ribcage. The knife inflicted the wound had left a gash about half the length of a finger. It was not deep enough to reach her organs, but the real danger came from risk of infection. Kade was right, it needed to be cleaned and dressed if it was to heal properly. She lifted the hem of her tunic enough that she could examine the gash fully. In the candlelight, her blood looked dark as ink.
Zehmira was on the verge of looking for a needle and thread when she heard the sound of boots hitting the windowsill. She was not surprised to see Jack was the next to return home. The sight of him looking uninjured and in good spirits was enough to make her forget her wound. She dropped what she was doing and regarded the man as she entered, making some remark to Kade.
"It's probably best you don't speak to him, Jack. I think some of the others are having to be flexible with our plans," Zehmira said. She then watched as the brown haired man made his way through the loft and out the door. She did not know where he was headed, but she trusted it was something safe. In the meantime, she found a kit for tending wounds in one of the other assassin's bedside tables. Sitting on her own bed, she rifled through the small box in search of anything that might be useful. She was rubbish at tending wounds, but surely she could remember some of her training...
Jack returned moments later bearing a basket of something. Zehmira watched, puzzled, as he walked past and asked Kade if he would like a cookie. Kade, looking tired, looked up momentarily from his daze. "Thank you, yes." Zehmira smiled inwardly. Little could break their leader from his concentration, but sugar was evidently one of them.
There was another flash of movement and suddenly Vivienne appeared where all the rest had. The dark haired woman jumped down nimbly from the window sill and immediately went for the baked goods. Zehmira scoffed. Only assassins would kill a man and then minutes later smile at the simple concept of pastries. All while their friends were possibly fighting for their lives. It was both comical and tragic at once, as were most things in their world.
It was at the sound of a voice that Zehmira realized there was a fifth in the room she had not noticed before. Ilai, the unspoken second in command spoke from his bed not far from her own: "Did I hear talk of pastries? Do share, Jack."
Well, it was becoming increasingly clear to Zehmira that if she ever needed to win the hearts of her comrades, baking would be the most efficient way. She listened and watched quietly as she unfurled some dressing cloth. Thankfully the next to return home was Mara, an woman several years older than Zehmira. Mara asked Kade how much they were being paid for the night's excursions, and he answered quietly that he guessed somewhere between ten and twenty thousand golden pieces.
Zehmira felt a wave of relief wash over her as Mara noticed her from across the room. "Let me see that," said the older woman. Zehmira put down the kit and let Mara take over. The other woman was better with healing than she was, and it was always much harder to tend to one's own wounds. "You really need to be more careful, you could have broken a rib."
"I think a broken rib might have been nice," mused Zehmira jokingly. "That might have given me an excuse to take the next few weeks off."
At Mara's request, she pulled off her tunic, wincing as the wet fabric pulled at her tender skin. "Do you think we'll need to stitch it?" she asked, trying to sound brave about the idea. It wasn't often that she needed stitches, and it was because she avoided them at all costs. For a woman that was used to a degree of physical pain, there was something particularly stomach-turning about needles.
Across the room, Kade was beginning to relax. The color began to return to his face, and his grip on the armrests had loosened. "I think we're nearly out of the woods," he said. "Lets hope from here there are no more problems."
[ Please excuse any typos. I never really proofread if I'm honest but I'm known to make particularly silly mistakes in the middle of the night. ]
