well, for starters, let's just say that i hate thunderclan, and if you want me to get into that, i can. anyways, featherwhisker was so respected by his clan... dk how to explain it. so goosefeather supposed was stupid and old and all, and then everyone was like 'featherwhisker's so great, and goosefeather's dumb and old,' and then i just feel really bad for goosefeather bc they appreciate featherwhisker while technically dislike goosefeather. runningnose, on the other hand, was sometimes taunted by other cats because he couldn't cure his own cure, and then he also had to lost yellowfang when brokenstar accused her of killing those kits, and i just felt really bad for him when he had to lose his mentor too.

I always thought Goosefeather was respected. He just kind of annoyed the clan because he had a gruff nature and he saw signs from StarClan everywhere. Doesn't mean he wasn't also seen as capable and intelligent. That's how Bluestar viewed him, so I always figured that's how the rest of the clan did as well.
Featherwhisker had a much more even, friendly temperament- he was just easier to get along with than Goosefeather. Also, wasn't it mentioned in Bluestar's Prophecy that he did most of the medicine cat work around the camp despite being the apprentice? It was probably because Goosefeather was kind of fragile and sickly at that point, and therefore not his fault, but that doesn't change the fact that cats had more interactions with Featherwhisker than with him.
Runningnose was loyal to Yellowfang and he was very kind, just like Featherwhisker, and he definitely has a more tragic story when you take into account how Brokenstar forced him to interpret signs and how many kits he couldn't save :c but his clan didn't disrespect him, everyone just took his constantly runny nose with a sense of humor. And Runningnose was effectively both leader and medicine cat while Nightstar was sick. He wouldn't have had that power if he wasn't respected.
They're both awesome (so are Goosefeather, Yellowfang, and Littlecloud, now that I've mentioned them xD), but Runningnose was less outspoken :/ I do feel bad for him, but I guess a lot of his story is overshadowed by the drama going on with ShadowClan/Tigerclaw throughout the first arc. Like I said, he's a bit harder to recall than Featherwhisker.

I guess Featherwhiskers alright. Haven't read Bluestars Prophecy yet, so I guess my opinion is kinda biased. |
