Hello~
Welcome to my humble abode.
I just so happened to be taking down some plot ideas while feeding my cats, and I decided that 'not for human consumption' is a somewhat interesting sentence. So I took it. Why am I like this.
Before you read any further, please note:
I. I am looking for role-play partners who will be easy on me. Chances are I'll be on every day, but I'll have my off days in which I'm just not up to replying. I'm currently taking up to six months off school to get myself well again and I'm a weak little shite who can't handle pressure. I'll do my best, but that's all I can promise. <3
II. I almost exclusively (emphasis on almost) use male characters, and I only use oc's. I hate that it's turned out this way, but I genuinely cannot seem to create any female characters that I understand on the level needed to write them. Well, apart from Frankie, but she's only for special occasions because she's too good for this world.
III. I prefer mxm relationships, when it comes to romance. Mainly because most of my oc's tend to lean towards guys. Like creator like imaginary mind-children, as I always say.
IV. Something about literacy standards? I'm not incredibly bothered when it comes to this, but I'm going to have to say that anyone who wants to partake in this adventure with me is at least semi-literate. Proper understanding of sentence structure, grammar, spelling, etc. That being said, I don't have the emotional energy to pump out five-paragraph responses. I have a fear of commitment, and that stuff sends me running from my responsibilities like a high schooler at exam time.
V. Feel free to chat here, if you want to. I'll probably be doing a lot of lurking, and I like the company.
A little bit about me, because I like to be chatty with my rp partners.
I'm an Australian boy, so you're going to have a pretty whacked timezone difference to deal with if you happen to be, as most forumers are, from the US or the UK. Not to mention how I stay up til the early hours on the daily, and then sleep through the morning like some kind of bat. I love to write, and I really do want to start doing more of it, but as I mentioned above, I really struggle with committing to anything and tend to throw in the towel after only a brief attempt. It's quite difficult for something to hold my interest for long, as I move from one obsession to the next to the point that it's ridiculous. I also seem to get more like this when I'm under pressure. I'm actually so anxious about starting this thread because I feel so bad when I'm not replying to people, especially if I have multiple plots/pairings going, and in the end I just kind of cower and do nothing about it. Because I love running away from my problems. Bite me.
I feel like I have done literally nothing other than force-feed you my flaws. I hope you enjoyed it. Who am I kidding; this is actually just an apology in advance for when I screw up.
About the plots ; ;
Most of these are very loose ideas, and I'm welcome to further suggestions on how to flesh them out. Of course you can bring whatever character you'd like, but I strongly suggest that a male would work best, if you're remotely interested in romance between characters. It's kind of difficult for me to find exceptions to this. I'll be adding more plots as they come to me, so things might change, and now I'm rambling. Uh.
If you're interested, just hit me up. When we actually start the rp, I'd probably prefer it in pms, just because it's easier to keep track of?
I've tried to cover a bunch of different moods with these, because it gets pretty heavy to have so many angst-ridden plots like I always seem to get myself into.
Anyways, enjoy. And feel free to ask questions if need be.

1910s, England. Charactera A and B are two rival butlers fighting for the head position in the household in which they work. Of course, it goes unsaid that both are attracted to one another, and their antagonistic bickering only fuels the fire.
There's a fine line between love and hate.
Based on: Downton Abbey
A: Harrison Cromwell

This plot is: Angsty, amusing

Middle Ages, Europe. Character A is on the run. They've been found guilty for witchcraft, and all they can do is flee their home and not look back. After days and nights of running and hiding, they collapse, starving and travel-weary, at Character B's doorstep. Character B is a shut-in and a recluse, and hasn't had company in years. They take in Character A, and the two form an unlikely friendship, and maybe something more.
Does B know A is a witch? Is A really a witch at all?
Based on: Burn the Witch, song by Radiohead.

This plot is: Magical, dramatic

1400s, Florence. Character A, a poor but apparently aesthetically pleasing pickpocket down on their luck, is awkwardly propositioned by Character B after A attempts to steal from them. B is an eccentric and reclusive painter with Asperger's, who is taken with A's appearance and is willing to pay for their time as a model and muse. The two begin a rocky and uncertain partnership, that seems to teeter on the edge of the romantic.
Based on: Nothing, I just adore this pairing.

B: Hilary Pasquali
This plot is: Sweet, dramatic

Alternate reality, England. Character A has the ability to turn into a fox. Though they see it as more of a disability: they'd rather be like everyone else. Alas their species, of shifter-type creatures who call themselves Changers, have been targeted as pests and are to be eradicated. Character B is in charge of doing just that. They have been hunting A through the countryside for many months, and they finally have the opportunity to do what they meant to. But when the two meet, face to face, one desperate to live and the other intent on making that impossible, will the hound realise that they're one in the same?

This plot is: Exciting, dramatic

Modern day, small town in England. Character A works from home, and has recently moved into a new neighbourhood. Their dog escapes one day and ends up at the local pound. Character B runs the pound - if you can call it that - and they are passionate about animals. The pound itself is more of a refuge for animals and the quirky person who runs it, and the two very different people hit it off when A comes to collect their dog - over and over again. Romance, dogs, and cuteness ensues.

The two end up texting back and forth for quite some time, amusing one another and playing guessing games as they get acquainted. Is it possible to fall for a stranger over the phone?

19, 5'6 in human form. Slender build, auburn hair in loose curls cut just above his shoulders that may once have been quite formal, but now looks wild and untamed. Alabaster complexion with freckles across his cheeks and the bridge of his nose, deep brown eyes that convey more than his mouth ever does. Somewhat elfish, effeminate appearance that makes him seem rather androgynous. Cannot stand being mistaken for a female, though he has more pressing matters to worry about these days. Once feisty spirit has been almost broken, leaving him desperate and anxious. He would do whatever it takes to avoid being caught.

Stands at 5'10, approximately 28 years old. Pale skin that he secretly touches up with makeup when need be. Dark, perpetually neat hair, worn gelled back off his face. He has a sharp jawline and a decently handsome face, with a wolfish grin to match his cool blue eyes - that's if he ever smiles at all. Usually looks calculating and cold, which goes well with his job. A butler isn't supposed to be incredibly cheery, after all. His ambitions always come before his morals, and he is ruthless at getting what he wants. Tends to be viciously sarcastic, and is the king of the backhanded compliment. Demisexual homoromantic, most likely, though he doesn't tend to talk about his sexuality or his relationship status.

A 29 year old, 5'9 bundle of misunderstood. His hair is ash brown, curled and unruly to the point that he doesn't bother trying to tame it. He wears very casual clothes and has never owned a suit in his life, though he doesn't brag about it. His skin is lightly tanned from working in the sun, and he quite often has a five o'clock shadow around his jaw. Green eyes that appear wise and somewhat withdrawn look like those of a man beyond his years. He has a shy but easy smile that never leaves his lips when in the company of his animals. Norther finds social interaction rather difficult, as he tends to be quite shy and is massively introverted. But he gets lonely, more often than he'd like to admit, and it would take a rather persistent and understanding person to draw him out of his shell.

27 years old, standing at around 5'8, Hilary appears to be your average Florentine. Except for the rather unusual ash blonde hair, and his fretful hazel eyes that are narrowed in thought more often than not, he can blend quite well into a crowd. He doesn't see as much sun as many of the other men of his time, namely because he paints inside and isn't too fond of actually getting out and being amongst people in the marketplaces and crowded streets - so his skin is unblemished, yet still retains it's natural light olive glow. His face leans more towards the pretty than the handsome, though he really doesn't pay his own physical appearance much attention, and is often uncomfortable when others do. He has Aspergers, which he of course is unaware of - though he has been described as 'eccentric' for most of his life. Obsessed with art and beauty, he paints Fiorenza as he sees it, and his memory never fails him. He has a hard time understanding sarcasm and humour, though he can grasp many things simply from observing and imitating. He is intelligent, that much is certain, and he knows how to look after himself. As far as he is concerned, he needs no one else.

Ayy excellent. It's like, okay it's 3 in the morning and I thought it was 12 and I'm so ashamed. I said I wouldn't keep doing this but I lied to myself. :')
So, the moral of the story is, I should sleep. And I may have to reappear in a few hours. Which isn't fantastic, because I'm so ready for this plot.

Standing at around 5'9", age 25, Jackson is hardly a memorable figure. Perhaps that's why he's managed thus far as a conman, a pickpocket. People don't remember him very well and by the time they realize he's stolen from them, Jackson's already long gone. Having been born and raised in a small town in Italy, Jackson hadn't always lived in Florence and his name wasn't always 'Jackson.' That was just the name he told everybody, to keep authorities off his trail and to keep people from being able to find him if he didn't want to be found. It was a just name he heard in passing, spoken from the lips of some English gentleman, not that he could understand English very well...just well enough to understand that it was a name. Like most Italians, Jackson's skin is olive, perhaps a little darker because of his time spent in the sun. He has dark brown hair, cut short but with bangs that sweep over his forehead and his eyes are the same shade. He's not exactly muscular, but he sports a good amount of lean muscle and he's kept fit and, well, thin because of his profession. He's charming with his speech, but only when he needs to be. Otherwise, he can be rather crude. Sarcasm is his shield and dark humor is his chosen poison. He's never had people to go home to, aside from a brother who was lost to him long ago, and at this stage in his life, he wonders if he'll ever even need someone else.

I've been doing that a lot, too, since summer started...but with school beginning for me very soon, I should try to get my sleep schedule back on track ugh

But also because there's more leeway with what we can be typing c': I naturally curse quite a bit irl and that bleeds into my characters a bit. It'd be nice not to have to pause myself if I run into a curse word when rping Jackson or something }

Sure thing! I totally understand. I swear like a sailor and most of my characters I could just never use on the old forums because of how difficult they are to censor. Hilary is honestly never going to be a problem with that but I prefer PM anyway haha. I don't feel so in need for fancy fonts over there.
Also mildly concerned about the fact that I can't say Hilary's name without thinking about Clinton. I've had him for like two years and all of a sudden it's like he's transforming into a presidential candidate.

It's only really Chinese/Japanese/Korean names that I get attached to and form real opinions about, which is probably most of the reason why the majority of my characters are Asian }

There are very few Australians and I have literally only ever met one single New Zealander. xD That's funny because I only recently thought how it actually makes sense that you guys spell it with an o - that's how you pronounce it over there hahah. I think I've seen it once and I can't remember where. I just adored it and never really even thought of it as feminine until it struck me that like, of course it was hahah. And hey man I totally don't blame you, like I pretty much exclusively end up rping mxm because it works best for me. I have about three female characters, and they all like girls. Most of my male characters like guys. No idea why it turned out like this. And man Japanese names are beautiful. I don't know too much about Korean or Chinese but I should check some out. I think most of my characters are European?? I have like twelve French ones and so many Russian ones and a handful of Brits. And then of course there are Americans, and a few Indians, and a few Ancient Egyptians. :') |

Yess I love Japanese names. I do tend to have more Korean characters, which is funny because I'm Chinese so...it might make more sense if I had mostly Chinese characters...? Only problem is that I think Koreans have better names ha
Oh yeahh way back when I was just discovering rping I used a lot European characters c': Mostly Brits and Italians, I think. This was back when I was trying very hard to adhere to white culture, that was such a bad phase omg }

Oh good! We can be as bad as each other in that case! xD HAH I get what you mean. And hey at least we won't have to worry about Mary and Matthew and Nicole and all the other mods that never left a lasting impression. xD Ooh Canadians. I hope I meet some. xD I feel honoured to be one of the few Australians who have discovered these forums :') Yesss, right? I used to make it really blatant lmao. I had this one oc called Maurice who is just majorly flirty and flamboyant and French, and he was always so obviously gay but I never explicitly mentioned it, so it wasn't a problem. :') Ahh well it's pretty cool that you branch out anyway xD follow the cool names, man. But awwh shit, that must have been hard trying to adhere to white culture bc it's so goddamn shitty sometimes. Coming out the other side feels good though I bet  Okay yes! Would you mind starting? in recent years they've kind of been like the police cars that hide in small streets waiting to catch people speeding down the main road...or idk if police do that in Australia xD
