Owl shot a disdainful look at her."They banished an cat because they committed treason".Flicking his tail he continued on with his statement "I say the king is not well but who am I to comment on the castles politics simply I'm just a kit to the adults of the castle. However Thunderheart threatened to realease the rats from the dungeon.By him acting irrationally he lost the castle favor".

The apprentice had leapt wildly into the water and sank almost instantly beneath the surface, her paws stroking helplessly as she struggled against the weight of her heavy fur- wonderful for cold winter nights- not so wonderful for stopping her from drowning.

When they broke it, the apprentice began to cough up what she'd swallowed, before releasing a terrified screech, flailing slightly against the tide.

chest heaving, she curled up into the typical kitten pose when they're held by the scruff. She was trembling violently, and continued to pitifully meow, terrified.

Fox obediently did as she was told, fearfully watching where they were going. 'The nest,' she croaked, fur bristling. 'It's taking us to the nest.'

- - Dewfern"The fox..?" She suddenly remembered his limp when she first met him. "Oh. Did you guys win? I never got to hear about it from Thunderheart because of the... Family drama," she explained, gesturing to the doorway and the cats beyond with her tail. "And I believe they will be alright. We've survived this long, and our hunters are capable, right?" - - FlamewhiskerFlamewhisker nodded at Wasbite, then jumped at the sudden alert from Batwing. "Oh! Good!" he shouted in response, padding over to where she was digging at the hole. He gave her a little assistance, but quickly realized he would not be able to fit. Mousedung. Oh well. I guess I'll keep watch? he thought, looking up at the pouring sky. "Alright. I hope we can wait out this storm. Like, it doesn't get any worse." Every time he looked down he just saw the treacherous water reaching up towards him and lapping at the rocks threateningly. - - Tawnyclaw"Oh, that can't be good," she muttered under her breath, averting her eyes from Honeyburr. She looked to mound and pressed up against her side for comfort. "Follow me, we can make it there. Keep your head up and-" Suddenly she was off her paws. Maybe it was only a centimeter or two for s moment, but she slid backwards. I guess it's time to start swimming, she thought worriedly, stiffening her muscles. Rosebriar let out a whimper as she followed Flamewhisker. She was still terrified but tried to push herself to stop freaking out so she didn't put anyone else in danger. Waspbite limped over towards Batwing. He tried to see where he would be most helpful and pressed his flank against Rosebriar to comfort her. Honeyburr started to swim next to Tawnyclaw. She was starting to get tired but couldn't give up because it might pit others in danger trying to rescue her.

Aspenwhisker whimpered as she watched the waters rage below them. She looked back at the others to see how they were doing.

Greywind grimaced and held her head higher. "Its fine, i'll find us somewhere to get out before we get there." She pawed at the water, trying to swim closer to the wall so if there was another hallway they, window even, they could slip in. "So...where do you think we will find your mentor?" 'My mentor is Ripplestorm.' She responded, kicking her back legs slightly in an attempt to be useful. 'I don't know where he is. We're looking for Wolfbite, he usually hangs around the gardens with the other elder, or Duskstorm.'

She nodded firmly. 'I hope so. Wolfbite is a right sourpuss but he's a great cat.' She clung on to the wall as well, helping Greywind out. 'Can you see a way out of the water?' She asked, starting to feel a lot less stressed about the situation.

'Yeah, we did.' Duskstorm replied, flicking an ear and lying down. 'And we're more than capable.' He responded, sounding fierce. 'They'll be okay. I'm just worried about some of them.' He sighed, looking away. (I'm sorry for the inactivity!! Marching band camp is all day and it's really taking a toll on me. I'll post as much as I can. :3) - - DewfernDewfern looked out the window briefly, shuddering at the sight of the cold, rushing water. She felt a little pang of guilt for being up there while everyone else- including the stranded patrols- were out there probably fighting to survive. "It's good to be worried. I'll believe you if you say they're safe since I don't really know them," she mewed, turning her gaze back to Duskstorm. "But these conditions don't seem easy. What's going to happen to our food? Our herbs?" Then a startling thought raced through her mind like lightning. "What about the Rat's Nest?" Her voice was quiet as she asked, her tail curling as tightly as it could around her paws.

- - Flamewhisker
"Aspenwhisker? Batwing found a shelter!" he called out, scanning the misty Heath for the she-cat. He stood perched just outside the gap, letting his sopping tail sort of hang inside it said it would be enough just to have one part of him somewhat dry. The tom who usually looked strong and fluffy was now a soggy, shivering little guard who's fur was clinging tightly to his body. "Everyone should get in there. I don't know how long this will last..." He turned to the group and jerked his head toward the small den.
- - Tawnyclaw
Tawnyclaw pushed against the strong current, just managing to dig her claws into the mound. She breathed a long sigh of relief as she felt herself resisting the tide, feeling a little invincible at the moment. The moment was short-lived, however, as something snapped in the distance, and a huge dislodged tree branch came rushing toward them. She barely had time to let out a frightened yelp before the log barreled into her. The she-cat was sent into the current, and then everything began to go dark.

Waspbite took the time to nudge Rosebriar into the small shelter. She slid into it with ease but as he tried to follow her he became stuck around his shoulders. He walked backwards and sat by Flamewhisker. "I don't fit either" he said with a shrug. Rosebriar sat within the shelter shivering. With a little bit of a sound block her anxiety started to slip away some and she started to lick her fur the opposite way in hopes of drying it some. Honeyburr watched the tree come towards her and leaped at the hill. She landed on it and scampered to safety only to see a figure knocked along with it. She realized that Tawnyclaw was no where to be seen and connected the ideas. She cursed and searched the torrent of water around her for her friend.

Tawny was silent for a moment, thinking. "Thunderheart doesn't sound like a very nice cat to me." "He isn't though" The apprentice replied dryly. He stood up quickly "Thunderheart is a mean old cat who preys on the weak so watch out" Owl meowed trying to scare her.

"It might be safer for us to stay here the water is getting faster and it's not going to stop anytime soon. If we try to find somewhere else we will probably get carried away." Waspbite said looking down at the growing, rushing water.

Greywind glanced around, trying to get her baring, which was hard as eveything she would usually see was under water. "I think theres a corridor we can get into but it might already be under the water and i dont think i can hold my breath that long." She loosened her grip on the wall and let the water pull them along, but made sure they didnt move too far away that she couldnt quickly stop them if needed. 'Don't do that then.' Fox fearfully said, not liking the sound of that idea. 'Maybe we can find a staircase, or a wall to climb.'

'Dewfern, we need to tell your father what's happening- he clearly hasn't taken notice yet.'
