Whoo. Lesson 1 is in such detail I'm still working on it. Also gives me a couple of questions that I'll have to look up.

Haha yeah, that's gonna be the longest one, probably. Except for maybe rhyme and meter because that topic is a beast in of itself. If you have any questions I'm here and I can try to answer some.

I'm wondering a little about Free Form. Are there any 'rules' for it or do you just write it how you feel?

Well, it really depends. Just write, putting line breaks wherever you want and punctuation wherever you want. You can split it into as many stanzas as you fell as appropriate or not separate it at all. If you want, you can rhyme in whatever way you'd like. If you don't, though, don't feel any pressure to. Personally, I find every line of poetry has a certain rhythm. So write one line and read it aloud, and you'll find it has a sort of flow to it, with certain words being emphasized. You don't have to have the other lines "flow" the same way, but that's how I prefer to do my free verse poetry. I personally love to rhyme, so I often rhyme. But there really aren't any rules about anything. It's totally up to you!

Ah, that answered my second question. It appears I mostly do free form then. I should probably try out a haiku or something else in that section... Hum, I'll have to figure out what it should be about first, then choose the style from there.

I love free form poetry, actually. It's one of my favorite types. And I actually enjoy haikus. They're super short but I think it makes you focus on your word choice even more. But honestly, try whatever form you'd like!

In general, I haven't touched on many types of poetry at all, so anything I try I'll be semi-unfamiliar with it. ^^

Poetry can be hard and most people don't really know a lot about it. I've been into it for a while, now, though, and I really enjoy it.
