jesse reyes -- high school senior
It was finally the weekend. What kid didn't look forward to that? Hearing that sweet sound of the bell that ended the final class of the day meant that Jesse could finally go home and relax. However, while the teen got up, he was more slow and relaxed. His Advanced Chemistry class wasn't to be started until Monday, when school started up again, but the homework made up for the time that he wasn't spending here, unfortunately. Picking up his pencil, notebook and text book, the eighteen year old made his way out of the room and...
Oh. This was an issue.
"Well, isn't this a fine situation?" he murmured to himself softly with a soft smile and laugh, scratching the back of his head and shifting his weight quite a bit. As you would expect of him, he wasn't entirely sure of where his locker was. He could get lost in his own yard, finally at the age where he wasn't lost in his own house. Brown eyes glanced around him for a bit before deciding to wander around.
His feet brought him eventually to the senior hallway, and with that, his locker. "Huh," Jesse hummed with a soft huff of a chuckle escaping his nose. "Would'ya look at that? Found it." Talking quietly to himself wasn't something uncommon to see of the eighteen year old. "Era hora de que finalmente lo encontré."
Normally, a while ago, he wouldn't have understood a single word of this. Living with someone who strictly spoke Spanish a lot, though, made it very hard to go without speaking the language as well as understanding it. "Hmm?" His phone appeared to be ringing.
"Oye, pequeño. No olvides que tu número de casillero es ciento diecisiete. ¿Puede Ryuu llevarte a casa?" A gruff and low voice was on the other line, sounding more like a growl than a actual voice. Jesse looked around him and tilted his head a little.
"Uh... ¿Dónde está Ryuu?" he asked in a sheepish voice, giving a soft chuckle as he packed his book-bag and slung it over his shoulder, closing his locker soon after. There was a moment and silence and then an annoyed sigh. "My bad, señor."
"Ir al frente de la escuela. Ryuu te encontrará allí." And then there was silence as the phone call was cut short. Taking a small breath, he found his way out of the school. Call it bad memory or whatever you'd like to call it, it was common for him to get lost no matter where he was.
Two figures running down the road caught Jesse's attention as he exited the school, tilting his head a little. Were those two...? Oh. The twins. Kaen and his sister. Should he go after them and say hello? Or should he actually listen to his dad and wait for Ryuu to make sure he didn't take a wrong turn home?
Funny how he was eighteen years old but still could get lost like an eight year old or even younger. He had no shame in it. Perhaps it was just the fact that he was lonely and liked the company, no matter how grumpy.

"W-Wait!!" Kaen yelled. "What is it?" Hana asked, stopping. "Can we stop and catch our breath?! PLEASE?!" Kaen asked. "Fine..." Hana said, sitting on a bench. "Ugh, thank GOD." Kaen said, collapsing onto the ground. "I can barely keep up with you, sister."

(Hey Tom, can you try making your replies at least 3 sentences from now on? Like, for each individual character? It's hard to respond to one or two liners.)

(My gosh you know it's bad when you make a simple character and everyone else has about 100-150 words for the description and you make yours 600+.
Totally won't stick out.
I don't usually RP really long responses like Momo, but if I'm getting into it I will. Depends on the muse.)
Simian was still sitting in the same tree, and grinned as she spotted Jesse bellow her. Her silver eyes watched the eighteen year old boy bellow her, a grin on her face. She actually found him funny, because of how constantly directionally challenged he seemed to me, but she didn't find it funny in a rude way, but in the fact that she used to be able to relate -That was until she started taking the hard way to do things, climbing, jumping, whatever it be, her mindset seemed to be, that if you climb high enough you will find your way out. Yet not everything was exactly that easy.
Her hands grabbing the wooden limb of the sturdy oak she was perched upon, she let her body weight shift forward, pulling her legs over the branch and smiled, getting her face closer to Jesse. Her black and white hair messy and pulled by gravity towards the ground. "Hello!" she peeped as she offered a smile.
Luckily for her, her black shirt was tucked into her jeans that day, and she wore a silver hoodie despite the sunny skies. Though she did look rather odd hanging from the tree as if she was quite literally a bat. Regardless to her, she didn't really care if people judged or not.
"So, how are you?" Simian asked in her hyper-yet calm sounding voice, a soft voice it was, but the excitement was in her eyes. As she asked the question, she added a small hype on the word 'So', and tipped her head to her right when she asked the question.
Being upside down didn't really bother her all too bad, she was used to it, she did this quite a lot actually. The Zodiac of the monkey surely did love to climb, perch and be higher then those around her, literally. Though at times with extreme movement such as tipping her head, she would become a bit dizzy, but sense she hadn't done it that much, it didn't bother her all too bad, except her going momentarily cross eyed, which caused her to snicker in response.
"Your name is Jesse right?" she asked rather curiously. She thought it was something like that, but wasn't completely sure, she she preferred to know what it was if she wanted to have a conversation or talk to him. One thing that did bother her was when people didn't know someone's name and just disregarded it as not mattering. To Sim, name's had meaning, her own name was Latin for monkey, an on-purpose ironical name. "My name's Simian, if you didn't know that already!" she piped happily.
Even if she was hyper, she wasn't over the top childish. She just tended to be happy with company, and dreaded he thoughts of ever being alone. Her attitude was even mature for her naive nature, and the way she projected her hyper and fun-loving attitude was in a decent and non-bothering way. It actually tended to come off as enjoyable to see her in the unique way she was.

"Hey, look, it's Jesse!" Hana said. "Can we please go say hi?" "Oh god, not more running!!" Kaen said. "I know it's fun for you, but, being like a rabbit, I only run when I need to!" "Oh, brother. Rabbits don't run, they hop!" Hana retorted. "Exactly! I'm more of a jumper! And I guess a digger." he replied.
((The reason I gave Hana the Impact font is to show her out-there and bubbly personality, and I gave Kaen Comic Sans MS to show how much he wants to fit in.))

(Hey Tom, can you try making your replies at least 3 sentences from now on? Like, for each individual character? It's hard to respond to one or two liners.) (Hey Tom, I'm not trying to be mean, but I specifically asked you to do 3 sentences for each individual characters, that means not combining the two together. I know you use different fonts but it's a bit messy that way. Maybe you can try making each character's responses be about a small paragraph long at least, and separately too, meaning one line of space between each paragraph. Another thing, is I am not going to tolerate people coming here and saying no one wants them alive, if it's a joke, it's not funny. If there's something going on, PM one of us about it. People want you alive, and you know that. I prefer you refrain from comments like that in the future. On another note, I do like how you differ your characters fonts. I'm not trying to be mean, but this is meant to be semi-advanced, and wanted to tell you.)

((oh. Sorry mate. I'll start trying harder.))
"You have no stamina, brother. It's weird." Hana retorted. "You need to try harder to keep up." And stop complaining! she almost said, but bit her tongue. there was no reason to resort to insults. She loved her brother, even though he was slow.
"It's hard to keep up with someone who's spirit animal is literally a cheetah!" Kaen huffed. "The online quiz you took proves it!" Kaen may have been a rabbit, but he was a slow runner unless in rabbit form. "It's not MY fault I'm slow!!"

jesse reyes -- high school senior featuring murakami ryuu
Not much phased the person whom had the Ox Zodiac spirit within him. Perhaps it was a delayed reaction to most things or his laid-back personality. Perhaps it was all the years of living with his father. Whatever it was, it was hard to startle him or catch him off-guard. Hearing a hello from near-by, he turned and saw the close face of another person whom was possessed by a zodiac spirit.
"Hey there," Jesse greeted with a friendly smile and wave to go with it. Forgetful and clumsy as well as slow and easily lost, he was a lot of things but the names of the others were not something that he forgot. He knew every zodiac and every name with that zodiac. They were a reminder that he wasn't alone with this and didn't have to be at all. "You got it right, name's Reyes. Jesse Reyes."
Jesse couldn't help but smile at the girl hanging from the tree, whom was that of the Monkey Zodiac. She was one of the few girls that he didn't have to worry about being near due to the curse not affecting him when he was hugging or holding another zodiac, despite her being female. It was always nice to let his guard down a little near another zodiac.
"I knew your name, Simian. Never got to ask, it alright if I call you Simmy?" His hand moved forward and patted her head a little. "Seems like the nick-name would fit you quite well. The Ball's this weekend as well. You ready for that?"
"Reyes."
Turning around, the brown-eyed male blinked with surprise as he saw a familiar face. The eighteen year old gave a smile and another friendly wave towards the Japanese man whom was striding towards him. Ah, his favorite person to bother. The light in his brown eyes shifted from friendly to mischievious the second that he waved at the Dragon Zodiac, his eyebrows furrowing slightly, the corner of his lips turning into a ever so slight smirk.
"Well, hello there, Mister Mara... Maraka... Marasaki? Marasoni?" The thirty-seven year old's jaw clenched and it made Jesse smile even more. There was a low growl of "Murakami" from the other zodiac. "Ah, I never can pronounce it."
"No matter," the man huffed with a sigh. "Your father wants me to escort you until you get back to your home. He says you have to pick out an outfit for-"
"Screw the outfit, I'll wear what I want." "Jesse, you sound like Keiji." "Aw, thanks." "That wasn't a compliment." "Sounded like it to me."
With a small groan, the Japanese man put a hand up to pinch the bridge of his nose, closing his eyes for a moment. The torment of being picked on between the two never seemed to stop. If Keiji wasn't around, then it was Jesse to come pick on him. "Call me when you're ready to head back. I have things to do if you're going to argue with me."
"Got'cha, Drago," Jesse stated with a grin, even finger guns and a wink, which made Ryuu's face grimace, almost a bit disgusted with the gestures. He was uncomfortable with that sort of thing and Jesse fully well knew it.
"Do not call me that. It is Mister Murakami." "Mara-what-now?"
Another groan left his lips and Ryuu turned around, going back in the school. Jesse waved with a grin and then turned back to Sim with a small chuckle. "Don't mind that. I enjoy pickin' on him, he knows I mean no harm. Not sure if you fully know Ryuu, but he's always grumpy and strict like that. He's the Dragon, with a hell of a ego that comes with that attitude of his."

"Oh great, we missed our chance!!" Hana groaned. "It's your fault!" Sheesh, for him being the rabbit, he's slow! I mean, his shyness goes well, but slowness? WHY SLOWNESS?! Hanna huffed to herself.
"No it's not! YOU'RE the one who stalled!" Kaen retorted. We fight like a flame fights a flower. he realized. How fitting.
