Eira's sky blue eyes slid shut as she finally stepped out of the local library, the cooler environment of the book filled area was a lot different when compared to the bright sunlight and warm outside. (I'll continue this tomorrow, I have to go)

"Worry not, I'll come for you as soon as I'm able." His voice was soft and lilting with forced optimism as he extended a gloved hand in reassurance.
"..."
"I won't leave you alone for long. We'll be together again before you know it."
"..."
"Yes I know trains are dreadful beasts, but this is the way things must be done."
"..."
"Hush now, you'll be in good hands. Isn't that right, Deacon?" Unperturbed by the lack of response, he continued in soothing tones only for the gentleness to harden at his last words. An obvious though unspoken threat. Sylvius turned dark eyes on the man hovering in the corner of the garage and awkwardly observing his uncharacteristic displays of affection.
"Wha-" The unwavering stare sharpened into a glare that could wound a glacier. "Of course! Good hands! The best...!" Deacon trailed off uncertainly, avoiding the teen's piercing gaze.
"They'd better be." Delivered in a strange sing-song hiss. Sylvius leaned forward to wrap his arms around the object of his affection in a possibly disturbingly heartfelt embrace before rising from where he had been kneeling on the cold cement to level an assessing look at the scowling man as if judging his worth and finding him only barely passable.
Deacon knew that he had years on the brat. And height. Weight. Muscles. Experience. A more offensive power- He could no doubt best him in a fight when it came down to it- never mind the fact that he'd never actually seen him fight- But something about the disturbed glint in Sylvius' usually clear eyes made him reluctant to prove it. At the moment. Perhaps later.
"Not a scratch, if you please." Sylvius was using what those unfortunate enough to be closely acquainted with him termed his 'Parseltongue Voice'- Which usually meant that he was in the mood for frying brains. As he was privy to exactly what that entailed, Deacon wisely kept movement to a minimum and responded with an even 'of course' despite the urge to devolve into verbal abuse and put his boot through the kid's head. He told himself that only the advantage of rank stayed him.
"I thank you kindly."
Sylvius graced him with a genuine smile that he suspected was as empty as the spy's chest cavity before turning back to what he'd been cooing over for the past five minutes. "'Till next we meet, Rastaban." He patted the Kawasaki Ninja affectionately on the handlebars before making his exit with a dramatic flare of the long sable coat that he probably wore expressly for that purpose.
"Nutcase." Deacon muttered after he was sure he'd gone.
___
((While I wait, I thought we'd check in with Sylvi for a bit. And I felt like writing something a bit silly so. To clarify- Why yes, Sylvius does affect a mildly archaic way of speaking when talking to his motorcycle. Even thickens his English accent, though unconsciously. And yes he does have conversations with it him. He was the kind of kid who pretended his bike was a horse. But also he just has the habit of personifying inanimate objects as a weird side-effect of his powers. He names and gives everything a personality. Li'l weirdo.
This is kind of taking place while everything else is going on as I suspect it will take at least a day in RP for him to reach the same general area as everyone else.
You could encounter him on the train, Webdew, although I see now that Smiley has already written another starter. ^^'
Oh, and I really like your avatar, Smiley~! I didn't know you drew it yourself. ^^ I always had difficulty drawing kittens because I just ended up making them miniature cats but yours is so cute and kittenish~))

(Hello to all!
I have spent a bit of time now combing down these forums for an active and interesting roleplay, and this one in particular really caught my eye. You have some very skilled writers here, a promising storyline, and the story isn't so far along that I felt lost reading it over. You are doing a wonderful job.
What I'm trying to say is that this place is incredible, and I'd be honored of you'd allow me a part in the story. I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right spot, and I'm sorry if I'm not, but I would really love the the opportunity. I wI'll definitely post a character bio if you accept me, so don't worry about that, either.
I wouldn't be able to get on rping immediately, as I'm still rounding out my character and I need to finish catching up with the story, but I'd post as often as I could if you'd accept my joining.
Thank you for your time! Please get back to me.)

(Thank you kindly. I may or may not have spent all night creating my character and her backstory, so I'm really excited to try her out. I hope you guys don't mind that she accidentally came packing with a little mission of her own.
I'll try to get my post done later today! For now, though, breakfast is in order, and then I'll need to decide on a reasonable and convincing method of entering my baby girl into the story.
Happy Fourth of July to all who celebrate it!)

(Well, I'll do my best not to disappoint, although I'll admit that I'm not, nor will I ever, be the most active writer. I'm an artist by nature, but I can promise that I'm going to try and see this roleplay through! Oh dear, don't you already have two? Don't make more than you can manage if it's for my sake, please. Oh, and you may just call me Bee if you prefer. )

(Oh! Sorry for double-posting, but I just remembered a few questions that had built up in my mind while reading over your roleplay. I was wondering if you or the creator of the thread could possibly provide answers.
Here are the questions, if I may ask:
What time period is this set in? I'm assuming it's modern, based on the use of wirecutters, parks, subways, etc., with some obvious supernatural touches, but I wanted to be sure.
Is there a planning page anywhere for this roleplay, or are we just going with the flow?
If there is a page, where can I find it?
I see you've already established minor details regarding the setting of this world as you've progressed, so I was wondering if world building is a rather open topic here. Could I help, perhaps?
Where does this story take place?

(I can manage thirty at once ^-^ four is as easy as eating a piece of cake Your good! The time period is modern and it takes place in a city, although some characters' whereabouts are unknown at the current moment! There's no planing page, I'll talk to PG about editing the top post to include that stuff, we do have a plot line going on at the current moment, some characters aren't in it yet, of it involves some really bad people, some poor kids who were experimented on, and revenge. Sure! We're all just building around where our characters are, for example, Oakley and Akili are inside a park at the moment with many trees, sprawling pathways, a bridge that crosses a river, and mountains near by. I'm not sure if it's completely set yet, but there's a lot of characters involved in this plot ^-^ ) Arixander's (Ari) hazel-blue colored eyes glimmered in the sunlight as he walked along the sidewalks, his light brown hair was messy and was currently being tousled in the light breeze that went by. Ari wasn't in a particular hurry, it wasn't like he had to rush back to his apartment or anything. While he was curious about why Eira -his flatmate- had to run off to the library earlier, it wasn't unusual for her to run off somewhere and return a few hours or so later. He then stretched his arms over his head, feeling the tension in his muscles disapate for once, which was incredibly appealing to him. Being a fire wielder ment that Ari's muscles were almost always tight and tensed up, ready to increase his body tempature as a defense and allow the fire to increase his natural strength.

(If you insist. I just don't want you to overextend yourself; you seem too sweet for me to do that to you Alright then! And I did read about the sub-plot you and Rockabye were working on. I was just wondering if there was a bigger picture we were heading towards just yet. I'm working on writing my post right now! I tend to be pretty wordy, so I apologize for that. It'll take me quite some time to get my post out (usually a half an hour to an hour wait) It doesn't help that I'm typing on mobile. My deepest apologies, again. I'll try to find a way for our characters to meet! Thank you!)

Grimy city air mixed with the permeating scent of cigarette smoke, tasting gray and dead and alive all at once. Buildings rose tall and watchful from every corner, from the side of every street as far as the eye could see- sharp edges against gray sky, sun glinting harshly off of their smudged glass flanks. Signs of human life peeked out from within shadow-enclosed alleys and in the seemingly-empty stretch of the park; cereal boxes, wet and collapsing in on themselves, moldy heels of bread tossed aside for the birds, plastic bags flying in the wind. This was the city; a far cry from harmonious civilization, a manmade flytrap for humans.
It was for humans, right?
You enter, you'll never be able to get out again, Evanna thought as she slunk down the cracked sidewalk, movements tense, as though she was a cat just coiling up for the pounce. One hand brushed against an object in her pocket carefully and purposely, her other was swinging at her side. The young woman carried a particular air- the air of someone who was waiting eagerly for something, something they couldn't yet reach. Dark brown eyes raked the environment around her as she moved, taking in every detail to file away on the back of her mind for later use.
This intensity that she carried would only seem to become aggravated on the many instances a stranger shuffled past during her journey. On these occasions, her head would drop, cloaked by a dirty hoodie, her steps would quicken, and the grib she had in her pocket would tighten until her knuckles were white and her palms sweaty.
Travelling was never fun. The hood was pulled lower on her face in hopes it would help hide her identity. She didn't even know who she was hiding from. Maybe it was humanity itself.
Evanna was a secretive kind of person, although that wasn't a natural personality trait. She loathed feeling trapped, under surveillance. This was unfortunately a feeling she was plagued by on a regular basis. When she was out in public, every eye on the corner was turned to her; the skyscrapers leaned in to hear what she said; hidden figures leaped in the corners of her vision and oh god was she going to get caught today? She could never think straight. Nothing was okay until she was back in the confines of home.
Someone is coming.
So deep in thought, snapping out took nearly too long, and Evanna had to spin on her heel rather gracelessly in order to avoid colliding with the figure -male figure- approuching mindlessly on her side of the path. Idiot.
"Watch where you're going!" The indignant screech pierced the air before she even registered that she had decided to speak. That was great. Interact with people, that'll get you somewhere.
And, uh... that might have been your fault.
Too late to turn back. On instinct, the woman's mind filled became a quickly working machine, listing off intructions to herself to obey. Voices overlapped in her head. Safefy. Keep yourself safe. Walls up. Dont think. Might be an empath. You never know. Read your mind. Keep thoughts safe. Don't think.
With urgency, she turned around and began walking in the opposite direction of the newcomer.
(Sorry this is so bad. I haven't written in years and I'm only now getting back into the groove of things. I hope this is acceptable.)

((Hello and welcome~! I've been out sick -I'm always sick lately? 2017, man- but I'm glad I managed to pop in right on time. ^^ To clarify a few things, as a 'jump in' roleplay, I take it to mean that there's a certain degree of freedom that you don't normally find. At least from what I've experienced so far. Think of it as open world, for the most part, you can shape it as you see fit~ As long as you secure permission from PG of course. I don't think she'll mind small changes, though. ^^
You can jump in whenever or wherever you'd like, Tangleclaw. I could update you on the statuses of characters I've already created or you could meet up with one of the newer ones I've been itching to flesh out...
Nice to roleplay with you again, Aurora~
And I really like your starter, Bee! I couldn't tell that you haven't written in a while. ^^ -I'm another story altogether...- As for my plot, feel free to ask questions! Smiley and I are winging it for the most part, but I'm sure we could collaborate and incorporate yours if you'd like. ^^))

{Hope you don't mind the random forest. Oh, and, hello Hana! I didn't realize you were here too!}
Aella couldn't stand staying inside. She had spent too much time inside for her liking, so nowadays she spent as much time as she could outside. Her guardians eventually gave up trying to rein her in and let her, so long as she didn't put herself at risk. You're not eighteen yet, so come back before nightfall and remember what we've told you, they would say. Aella didn't like interacting with people anyway, so she always stayed in generally isolated, forested areas. It helped that she adored nature. She didn't care if her pretty dresses became dirty. She liked sitting in and under trees and listening to the sounds. She especially liked to listen for animals. She had always been able to understand them. They were interesting and she loved listening, even if she was never allowed to tell anyone that she could understand them.
Aella sat under a tree deep in the forest and looked up as she heard the squeaky voice of a squirrel above her. She smiled. The squirrel was complaining about humans and deforestation. "I'd help if I could," she said, startling the squirrel. It regarded her cautiously, but didn't run. It stayed, clinging to the branch it was on.
She was telling the truth of course. She hated what the city did to the already small forest. Where she was sitting, it was still green, but she could tell that the city was horrible for it. There weren't a lot of animals in the forest, to her disappointment. They were driven away by humans, but there were still some roaming around. There weren't nearly enough, though. She much preferred interacting with them rather than people, and that was why she never went to the park whenever she went out.
