"As the sun is goin down I hear a raven makin his rounds Harvest his woe up from the land"Welcome to the clan! You all know the drill by now, so I won't blab for too long. As I said on the main page, don't worry yourself too much about length on these forms. Everyone has different preferences, and I am sensitive to that. It is important, however, to at least touch on the required areas just so the others have a way to reference your character's basic details like eye color and disposition. Again, just let me know which role you would like before posting here. Try to refrain from posting more than once, just to keep things nice and pretty. Without further adieu, here's the form:

Nighean Blackwood(pronounced NIE-he-an) | The third sister | Female | Twenty |1 2 3 4 5 6Personality Description: Nighean's fiery personality has always been the perfect match to her fiery red hair. She is an intrepid young woman, and a stubborn one. She is not particularly interested in "tradition" or "expectations", but rather she follows her own path which is dictated solely on idealized versions of reality and pure instinct. If she dislikes someone, it is more likely to be because of a "feeling" rather than a discernment based on experience. In fact, she's more likely to enjoy a person she feels is "good" that has wronged her than a person who feels "bad" who hasn't. This way of operating in the world is not necessarily the most foolproof one, and she ends up attracted mostly to the outcasts and failures of society. All that said, she is a very good person at her core and her desire is always to do the moral thing. Well, the moral thing sometimes comes second to the interesting or fun thing, but that is according to her sisters. Nighean is highly adventurous and she puts very little weight on the idea that women are supposed to be tame and home-oriented. She is the antithesis of both of those things, and her primary concerns are typically provocation and self reliance. She is mischievous and fun spirited, and she is considered extroverted despite her independence. Nighean's flaws are multitudinous, especially according to the more traditional residents of the village, who view her as disrespectful. Nighean's most redeeming quality is her belief in the good of people, particularly those in her family. She is incredibly loyal and dedicated to those she loves.Physical Description: It is probably for the best that she is small, for if she were larger, nothing would stop Nighean from some more dangerous endeavors. As it is, not much can deter her from a physical challenge. She is strong despite her petite size, and fierce as a cat. Her height is a little shorter than the average woman, and her build is naturally thin, particularly given the amount of time she spends on her feet. Speaking of her feet, is not uncommon for them to be dirtied with mud. Even the hems of her dresses are discolored from her refusal to walk around puddles and mud. Thankfully most of her dresses are quite common, and they are all old garments of her sisters'. It goes without saying that Nighean's most distinct feature is her head of wild red hair. The color of crushed autumn berries, fresh wounds, a dramatic sky. If she had her way, it would be much shorter, but her sisters insist it is her best feature, so she lets it grow to the middle of her back. Facially, she is redeemed by her feminine bone structure. She has a small, narrow nose with a concave curve on the bridge. Her lips are full and cupid's bow shaped. Her eyes, cornflower blue, are characterized both through their fierceness and childlike openness. Her skin is a pale ivory, oddly without many freckles but for a pale few on her nose and cheeks.faceclaim: rachel hurd wood

Rhysand Aodhrí| The Recluse | Male | Five-hundred and Seventy-two| [ 1] [ 2] [ 3] Personality Description: Dark, mysterious and unpredictable are often used to describe Rhysand by those who know him, although few of such people now live today. He appears as a wolf cloaked in shadow, eyes piercing through to the very soul to steal a person's most precious secrets. He is quiet and observant, and is able to easily read a person with a few seconds of meeting them. Because of this, he often gets bored easily, which can offend some people. He's flippant, arrogant, cold and sometimes unfeeling, and often has a lazy, playful but dangerous vibe about him. Deep down, however, he cares for some people. He cares for the natural world, the earth and the dark and deep places hidden beneath the surface. He cares for the smallest animals, from the smallest insect to the massive stag roaming the woods. Rhysand appears outwardly cold and emotionally distant, and often comes across as sociopathic. He's manipulative and secretive, and will use almost anyone to further his own agendas. He will do almost anything to protect himself and his forest, even if it means sacrificing all of humanity. Still, at his core Rhysand is not an evil man, nor does he take great pleasure in causing harm to any living thing. At his core, he's gentle and kind, but few dare to broach the icy walls that construct Rhys' shield to discover his true nature. Once, long ago, Rhysand lived up to his reputation, and took pleasure in watching the fragile humans crumple at his feet. After centuries of quiet exile, he's had time to reflect on his past misdeeds, and come to terms with himself. Still, whispered legends of dark magic precede him, and rare is the day when someone dares to broach his woods.
Physical Description: Few mortals have had the pleasure of gazing upon Rhysand's true form, for he often wields a powerful glamour about himself to shield human eyes. Rhysand's true nature is that of Fae, although no one living knows that information. Few of his kind remain, but Rhysand lives on, glamoured to the rest of the world as a somewhat ordinary human, although his magic can only shield so much. Glamoured, Rhysand's form is lean but muscular, reaching upwards of six-feet in height. His hair is a dark brown, falling in loose waves down to his shoulders, though he often pulls it back into a low ponytail. A single scar marks Rhysand's face, splitting his left eyebrow down the center. He keeps his beard and mustache relatively trimmed, though it isn't unusual to see them unkempt at times. Rhysand's eyes are a similar color to his hear, if a few shades lighter; an amber-brown that seem to glow with their own, ethereal light - the only evidence of Rhysand's heritage when his glamour is wrapped around him. His nose and teeth are straight, chin strong and smooth; his cheekbones aren't very pronounced, but it doesn't retract from his handsome appearance. His build is lean and muscled, and a few tattoos wrap themselves around his arms and back, though he keeps them hidden to the rest of the world.
Other/Background: Once upon a time, Rhysand had little need to cloak his form entirely, and he walked amongst the humans freely. He was worshiped as a god to an extent, as most mortals in those days had some inherent fear of the Fae, although such fear was well deserved. Fae had a reputation of being cruel and wily, happy to trick a human for their own gain. Some even claimed that the Fae sacrificed humans for their magical gifts, although such rumors were nonsense. Still, Rhysand enjoyed his time among the mortals, and formed several powerful friendships, although he outlived them all. The grief as he watched his friends wither and die slowly at away at Rhysand, and for a time he fell into a dark madness. He walked across the world, wielding his power as a sword, slaying any who dared to stand in his way. In his madness, he sought to punish humanity for their fragility, their mortality, and it was only when Rhysand's own people managed to shackle his magic slightly that he was broken from his madness. Before he was able to be contained, however, Rhysand lashed out one last time, and put almost an entire village to the sword and flame. Once bound and shackled to the extent that he no longer posed an immediate threat, Rhysand was banished from human company and sent to the Darkwood, where he remains to this day in quiet exile. Rhysand's curse binds his magic tightly, and while he is potentially one of the most powerful Fae still, his current magic is but a whisper of what he once had. Rhysand actively seeks to break his own curse, and will do almost anything to succeed. His power lies in the night; in the maddening darkness, the still and quiet; the bitter, biting cold.

Cairstine Blackwood(pronounced KUH-air-sti-nee) | The eldest sister | Female | Twenty-six |1 2 3
Personality Description: Ever since she was little, Cairstine was like the second mother of the house. She would follow her mother around, learning the tricks of the trade and discovering how to care for a household. Because of this, she is responsible and incredibly wise for her age. Her sisters and even her husband tend to welcome her advise because they know it will be reasonable and well-thought out. She carries an air of love and compassion with her wherever she goes, but also strength and poise. After her mother died, she was left to care for her sisters. She was in tatters for months, but after the initial shock, she came back stronger than ever. Cairstine fully adopted the role and can be overbearing at times, but she always means well. She is always there for her sisters, even if they just need a shoulder to cry on. However, she is not one to baulk at a little tough love. She can be snappy and rude on her off days, but isn't prone to fits of anger. Still, it's a scary sight when she finally blows her top. Worry for her loved ones plagues her constantly, especially her husband and youngest sister who are always getting into trouble. As heir to the estate and appointed caretaker, she has had to learn how to juggle quite a few different things at once which makes her an excellent multi-tasker. She desperately wants to have a baby and bless her husband with an heir; the news of her inability to carry on the family line almost destroyed her. It was the one thing she had dreamed of since she was young: to become a mother. Now, since she can't, she wonders why fate is so cruel to her and her family. Cairstine knows it is by no fault of her own that she can't have a child, but she can't help but somehow feel like a lessor woman because of it. She dreads the day that she has to break the news to her wonderful husband; she knows it will break his heart. The curse has not begun to effect her, but since she is nearing the dreaded age of 30, she understands it will soon.
Physical Description: With warm, chocolate colored eyes, inky hair, and pale skin, Cairstine seems more like the goddesses from Celtic mythology than a regular woman. She is striking in every sense of the word. She stands at a normal height, but her imposing presence makes her appear larger than she actually is physically. She is lithe, but has womanly curves and muscles in all the right places. High cheek bones mixed with rosy pink lips make her a very attractive woman indeed. She usually leaves her black, curly hair down, giving it freedom it to tumble down the full length of her back. She would appear physically perfect to any unknowing passerby, but she has recently received the tragic news that she is barren. Cairstine also has a few scars that mare her legs, old injuries from her childhood. Her brown eyes and curly black hair are said to be her best qualities, but her husbands once told her that it was her smile. The eldest's teeth are unusually straight, and despite their slight discoloration, quite healthy looking. When she smiles, two dimples appear. One will usually see her in simple dresses with little to no jewelry.
