The Marks
When the Septet first rose to power they became known across the city by their Marks. They left them in their wake in many different forms such as graffiti, paper, or even blood as a way to announce that they had been there, that The Septet had been involved. When they were young and still cared about fighting for Sterling City's welfare they were a sort of ironic marker. By taking the seven deadly sins, which represented their worst qualities, and using them for what they saw as good they felt they could overcome their demons. However, they were wrong; the demons they had sought to suppress overcame them in the end. Now The Marks are a symbol of the Syndicate's power and inspire fear around Sterling City.

Third Row: Wrath, Envy
The Sentinels follow in the footsteps of the now corrupt Septet. In a show of defiance they have adopted the symbols of the seven heavenly virtues. At the scene of their latest major attack, a bomb at The Tavern, they left their own marks as a challenge to the Septet. They hope to destroy the Syndicate by being the "better" version of what the Septet once tried to be. They believe in saving the city.
