introduction.
hey there, kids. the name's Vir. with summer vacation only a week away, I'm going to have a lot more free timeto waste in the very near future. I'm not one to carry more than two or three roleplay partners at a time, but I came up with this plot, and I figured with the free time that I'm going to have, that I could squeeze in one last person. hope this works out with one of you!
fyi's.
- I consider myself a pretty literate roleplayer. typical responses from me (ofc without much dialogue) tend to be around five paragraphs long, give or take a few (more likely the former)
- I find it really difficult to respond to short posts, so at the very least, I'm looking for someone that can at least match my post length. I'll quickly become bored/unmotivated with either poorly written or short replies, so. yeah.
- I'm good with roleplaying either through regular pages or through pm's, but I like to chat and plot via pm's. it's just a thing of mine, I think.
- I really like headcanons and plotting! like a lot! and it would be awesome if they'd be reciprocated, too. it's hard to stay motivated when a partner relies on only you for the ideas.
the plot.
themes: mythology, the supernatural, storytelling, western vs. eastern society, man & nature
setting: Himachal Pradesh, India (located towards the north of the country. a rural state known for its stunning natural beauty and close proximity to the Himalayan Mountains.)
age range: preferably young adult--anywhere between early to late 20's, perhaps even dipping in early 30's.
a young person (perhaps a National Geographic journalist/photographer, or a researcher. maybe even an erudite tourist) journeys to India in hopes of having an enriching cultural experience. they find themselves in a more secluded, rural part of the country, armed with only a pocket translator. as they stay and get to known the locals, however, they begin to notice that not everything is as it seems--and not necessarily in the bad way. the village has a certain charm to it that compels the foreigner to stay. the locals are also incredibly warm and welcoming.
tigers have been revered as staples of Indian folklore and religion for centuries. they are worshiped as deities, especially in the more rural and traditional parts of the countries, where they might appear from time to time, if one gets lucky enough to catch a glimpse of one. so, on one fateful day, the foreigner has a life-changing encounter with one of these fantastic creatures. this inspires the foreigner to dig and research and exhaust every source, to learn precisely what it is about these creatures that makes them so otherworldly.
if it's alright, I planned on taking this more mysterious local, while you would claim the foreigner.
note that details can be tweaked/completely changed. this is rough--intended to be built off of.
either post here or shoot me a pm to let me know if you're interested!! I'm so excited to see who drops by :^)
