Sunskip gave a nod.
"Let us speak of their tragedies no more. It's too fine a night to think about those things." He gave a shrug. "Perhaps one of us will get a dream about how to help them."
He padded up to the center of the plateau and laid down under the half-light moon.

Bramblewish looked at the other medicine cats nervously. "I suppose so, one of us should get a dream soon. Anyways... I agree. We shouldn't waste time." She agreed, stumbling over beside Sunskip to awkwardly lay down and close her eyes. "Breathe..." She mumbled to herself once.

Shadowstep gathered with the others by the stone, calm and quiet as usual. He'd done this so many times before, so he wasn't necessarily nervous or anything. He waited for the others, glancing to look at them come around the stone as well.

Smallberry reached the shining stone. He nods to the other Medicine cats beside him and touches it with his light pink nose. He woke up in Starclan. But not the areas of Hawkclan. He was in the forest. Like a bushy forest. Leafclan territory. He then saw a starry cat lead him to a river inside the territory. But the starry cat lead him throught to Thornclan. Where a small kit was laying. Almost dead. He couldn't believe his eyes.

Sunskip stared at the sky once more and laid his head down. The stars seemed to surround him as he fell asleep, his wings curled at his side. He woke, his eyes waiting to greet his old mentor, Heronfall. As usual, a starry cat appeared, with a midnight black pelt and shining blue eyes.
"Heronfall!" Sunskip purred, his eyes bright. Heronfall was his closest friend. The old she-cat was quiet.

But the kit started to wake up. She was dead. Her starry pelt shined. And she joined the other queen. Before long. He realized this was an old memory. This was Amberkit. Sunpoppy's kit and sister to Brackenstar. So thats what happened. He thought. Talonstrike was a lier. Amberkit and Whitekit didn't die through birthing deffects. They died in cold blood murder. He had to tell Bramblewish. This wasn't okay. But the cats kept leading him. This time there was a dead warrior. A wolf was eating him slowly. " Stop ! Stop ! " Smallberry yowled but there was no reply. He couldn't regonize the warrior. Why was there so much death at the border ? Was this not a warrior ? Was this Leafclan's Medicine cat ? (( I shifted the plot XD ))

Heronfall's gaze shifted away from Sunskip, and suddenly their scenery did as well. The tom was suddenly on a boulder between LeafClan and ThornClan territory. A shadowed wolf was gorging themselves on a cat. Sunskip couldn't tell who it was, as the blood was thick in the air and he couldn't tell what color- or what clan- this cat was. The wolfs shadowy-teeth ripped through the flesh, its pelt shifting like mist. The brown tom gave a shiver, his fur rising very quickly on his back.
Suddenly Sunskip remembered the announcement that Frozenstar had made at the last gathering about the passing of their medicine cat.
"She passed in a horrible way, but hopefully she can see us now as LeafClan stands proudly here tonight."
Was this cat his dear friend and fellow medicine cat, Emberstep?
What was happening here?
"Heronfall..?" Sunskip meowed, his mew raspy.

He saw Sunskip appear next to him. He didn't speak. What had happened at the border ? Why was poor Emberstep killed at a border ? This was done in cold hard blood. But Smallberry couldn't think why. Before long he woke up out of the high altitude. It was amorely almost day. He could see the sun rise. He knew his clan was worried but he had to make sure the other Medicine cats were safe. As there is someone coming after them.

Shadowstep had woken up before the others, yet his face was emotionless and grim. He glanced over at Smallberry, gray eyes lingering for a moment before doing so to the other medicine cats. It was common to see him quiet, but how he was acting now was different, like something was troubling him. Perhaps he'd seen something while asleep as well. Yet, he said nothing, only waiting for everyone else to stir and prepare to head back to their homes.

Bramblewish woke up soon after, slightly trembling as she lifted her head slowly. She let out a small cough before getting up and looking at Shadowstep with a worried face. "D..Did any of you see anything?" She asked nervously, shaking out her ruffled fur and blinking. There must be something going on. She felt the tension in the air...

Silverwind had watched the scene with shock and woke up, shaking and shivering. She looked around at the other cats, seeing how they too were upset. She stood up and shook her pelt before turning to them.
"I guess, I wasn't the only who saw that, huh? Why this fate to Emberstep? What does this even mean?" She asked, looking down and the hurt flashing in her eyes that this happened to her fellow friend.

" I don't know " He was shaking. Maybe she disobeyed the code. Maybe. His eyes were giant in fear. This reminded that he cant ever break the code. That he had to obey it an iron fist so he doesnt end like Emberstep.

"Let us not fall fate to the same end," Shadowstep decided "Never have I seen such an end to someone who didn't break the code." Perhaps they wouldn't die so horribly if they maintained steel-nerved in terms of obeying the code.

She had no apprentice and now Leafclan is in Trouble. We will never forget her but we need to help Leafclan " He yowled. " Who agrees ? " He decided to take a vote.

"I do!" Bramblewish yowled, feeling absolutely horrible for Emberstep. The poor medicine cat! She gave a shiver just thinking about the gruesome scene. The clans should have to make a rule to help and support each other during rough times, it would help a lot. She definitely agreed.

"Exactly what I was thinking! If there really is some big danger ahead, we need to have one way or another of supporting each other. If not, we will all be destroyed." Bramblewish agreed passionately. The last thing she wanted was any of her clanmates to be in danger without proper support from the other clans, left alone to suffer.

While the other cats were awake and still chanting in agreement to a new rule, Sunskip dreamed on. He pressed his former mentor again. "Heronfall, what happened?" He asked, a slight growl in his voice. She bit her lip, hesitant. Finally she spoke. "You saw what happened.. but that was no wolf. Find the cat that did it." Suddenly her pelt melted away, and the scenery started to as well. "Wait!" He called aloud. And he was awake. He stared around at the other cats. (It would be interesting if the cat that killed her had the prefix 'Wolf'  ) |

"What happened" Bramblewish asked urgently, looking at Sunskip with wide eyes. "Did they tell you anything more?" She continued her interrogation of him, hoping that there could be more clues to what happened. It was all very unclear now. The cat who did it might be among the currently peaceful clans, not suspected of anything, she felt a shiver of fear go up her spine but ignored it. The only thing important was bringing the cat to justice.

Sunskip shook his head as if trying to clear his memory. He didn't now how much they knew already; he vaguely remembered that he had seen Smallberry off to the side, and he was already awake. Had he seen the dream, and told them already?
"I-it was Heronfall, my old mentor. There was a shadowy wolf.. and.. and Emberstep! The wolf was eating her! Except.. Heronfall said that it hadn't been a wolf... But a cat."
Sunskip shook his brown pelt and sturring his feathers, disgust rippling through him. What kind of monster- no, what kind of cat would kill, and eat LeafClans' medicine cat! It was foul. Revolting. Usually, Sunskip was the kind to be stern and aggressive, but any cat who had seen that would be shaken

Smallberry repeated himself. " We have taken a vote. A new law has been passed stating then when other clans are in trouble or out of a medicinr cat. We must forget our borders and help the clan without a medicine cat. I guess I could still ask you what you think " He rephrased.

"Yes, of course. LeafClan needs as much help as they can get, and any clans that have this problem in the future as well. It simply wouldn't be right... but what about the dream? StarClan wouldn't just show us that so that we would make a new law."

Shadowstep listened to the other medicine cat describe what fate had caught Emberstep. He had seen the horrid vision too, but it was still just as revolting when it was spoken of again. Sighing, he said "We won't find out what else there is to know from that horror if we continue sitting here like rocks." For all they knew, that thing, or cat, could be lurking around the territories, gnawing on other cats.

"We've got to find this wolf thing that's actually a cat and make sure they are punished for what they did. Just staying here and waiting for something from StarClan won't make a difference if we don't get into action immediately." She added passionately.
