Rowan waited a few more minutes, taking note of the books for the school year. She frowned and shook her head. "It's never anything good," She whispered to herself as she flipped the page and gently pulled it out. She scribbled down a response and folded it up, setting it underneath her journal for the time being. You have one chance. Use it wisely. And by the way, I'll stick to Moon. But thanks. - Rowan She chastised herself for being forgiving all the time, but it was the first day. There was no point in ignoring the poor guy. So she was going to see what happened and wait to judge. After all, she needed to focus on school instead of people anyway. She waited for a moment when the teacher looked away and nudged the note to roll across with her foot, writing notes at the same time to seem like she was paying attention.

(Hey! And not much is up, you? Also, a. He'd probably just leave her lol)
Sterling straightened up, lifting his lead to look at the teacher with a bored expression on his face. "Listen Miss Millie, I came here for English class, not yoga," said the boy quietly, completely giving up on whatever pose he had been doing. Please don't tell me we're going to be doing this for forty-five minutes..." He glanced over at another one of the students.

(Gloria's in grade three, no worries let's throw her in class with Flynn and Rowan, maybe she can notice something and butt in hehe)
Flynn grinned upon reading the note, hastily working up another one, which he tossed back in her direction. You're the best. You can't use Moon at all the shows, and Night is a better stand in than the Academy horses anyways. Keep him in mind as your back-up. He might not be Moon but he's worth over a mil, so he can't be too bad! he assured. Besides it being a good, nice offer for the girl, something he rarely ever did, it would be good for Night, even if it was just one or two dressage shows, or an event. Flynn didn't use him much since it was his secondary, and Night didn't do well in the Jumper ring last time he used him. As he looked up, he caught sight of Gloria sneaking a peek at the two of them passing notes- as if they were in grade school- and flashed her a grin. He didn't care, anyways.
---
Miss Millie giggled. "Of course not. And if I might add- you came here for riding, not yoga or English. But this will help both. So scoot your boot back into that pose and listen to your teacher!" she threatened in the sweetest, most friendly voice anyone had ever had. Heck she was weird.

{I gots to add Saige in this. Since she's grade two. XD}
Saige glanced between him and the teacher, trying to stay balanced. She felt really awkward doing it, but it beat the typical notes and boring run through that teachers did at her old schools. She looked at Miss Millie's with wide eyes, surprised by the teacher's approach to the class. But she's had a point about the school, so she held the pose before she slipped and gave up. Why is this a thing?
Rowan read it and glanced over at him before giving a shrug in response. She slid the note in her bag just to keep it off her desk, promising to toss it out later when class ended. She could easily pay attention, which led to a journal page filled with neat cursive accompanied by doodles of flowers, horses, and other things she was hoping to work on in Art. But it was just to pass time, as she didn't really care about English except it helped with her own writing in her free time.

Sterling stared at the teacher for the longest moment, not sure if she was serious or if she was just joking around. He sighed rather loudly, dropping his gaze back down to the floor as he did another pose. He wasn't really trying at this point. "Yes, but this is also a boarding school, so the general classes are kind of mandatory."

(Lol yes plz do. Imma try to finish it up quick, cuz let's be honest everyone wants to skip to the morning lesson, am I right? So much more fun for us just like it is for the students themselves xD)
Miss Millie, just like a child, stuck her tongue out at Sterling with pizazz, and upon finish that pose, began to lecture the students about the 'fun' of reading and writing, and explaining exactly what they would be working on that year.
---
Flynn grinned as their English class finished, and he stood, leaning over to Rowan. "So, we cool?" he quickly asked, the look of an overly-needy child on his face puppy eyes and everything, as he rubbed the back of his neck. Why, exactly, did he care so much if Rowan gave him another chance? He wasn't sure. The feeling of need just...was there. "Just tell me what you want from me and ya got it," he admitted. "If never been good at, you know, human relationships. The only people I've actually gotten along with for an extended period of time are Rachel, Abigail and a handful of guy friends. And you've met both Rachel and Abigail, so....well, yeah. Not exactly normal."

{True! XD}
Rowan closed her journal and gathered up her things, nearly dropping her bag when he spoke. "First, you can quit with the puppy dog eyes. They don't work on me. Second, we're fine," She told him as she pulled her bag strap over her shoulder and held her sketchbook in her arms. "I noticed. Alright, you have your chance. Just don't get carried away with it. Try something normal, okay?" She offered a smile and then pushed in her chair. I'm one of the most normal people here. This shouldn't be too hard. She thought. Then again, who knows?
Saige spent the rest of the lesson trying to deal with the eccentric teacher and the weird lesson itself. In the end, she had a couple notes from that lecture and she was eager to get out and head to her next class. She glanced at the schedule and map before she tried to find it, though she was still pretty lost.

Sterling didn't bother saying anything else to the teacher, he just listened quietly to the lecture, but he didn't take any notes about anything she had said. He noticed Saige looking at a map and scooted his chair closer towards hers. "What are you looking for? Need any help?"

(Lol then let's skip math and history, they're boring anyways X3 group lessons!!!! Now we can do Abigail and Rowan <3 Now, I'm going to 1. be making more trainers so...will be poofy. I'm also trying to do some research on dressage because I truthfully know little about it. I did dressage once when I was trying (failing) at eventing, and I quickly learned it was not for me, so this is gonna be tough XD I'mma do my best. I'm also still making Abigail's horses so...lol yeah.)
Normal? What was normal? To Flynn, that was drinking, partying, hooking up. Things of that nature. But he knew that likely wasn't the 'normal' Rowan had in mind. "Right. Normal. Gotcha. I can do that," he lied. Yeah, no. It would be a disaster if he went off his own ideas of normal. He would probably need some help.
---
Dressage students were riding all around in the English Arena, having it mostly to theirselves, save for a small group of Haute Ecole students, which was usual. Not many students partook in that discipline. The trainer for dressage was busy, and made it clear at the first night ride, to those students new and unfamiliar to the school, that training was a group effort; everyone was expected to receive their horse from one of the stable hands, tacked up and ready, be it their private horse, an academy horse, or whoever else they may be riding that day, and begin to practice. Trainers would get around to teaching as they saw fit, and begin instruction as needed.
Abigail was already mounted on her swedish warmblood prized gelding; Lang Mork Stilig. He was a gorgeous seal brown, 17hh gelding with a prominent star on his face, and four perfect socks. He stood out in the crowd, because of his features, and pricetag, which just about everyone knew stood at more than $800,000. And he was worth more now, certainly, because of the work the girl had put in him. But still, Abigail somehow managed to hide herself so she didn't stand out, unless it came to a show. Sure, people at the academy would talk about the 'handsome swedish dressage horse' that won yet another show. But Abigail? She preferred to stay out of the limelight.

{One of my old friends does dressage but she refused to tell me about it XD}
{He is going to need some serious help.}
Rowan walked out of the barn with Moon by her side, looking proper and clean in her riding clothes. She had tied her hair back in a long ponytail to keep it out of her face, and Moon was bright and ready to begin. She pulled herself up and brushed some stray dust off of her saddle as she gave Moon a small kick to tell the mare to start walking over to one side of the arena. She tugged on the reins and shifted her weight back to get Moon to stop and reached to adjust her stirrups. They were a hole too high up, so she lowered them and rolled her ankles before placing them back in. The dappled grey dutch Warmblood was watching the other horses while Rowan double checked everything, head high as usual.

(OMG tell her she's a jerk! Lol we need help XD I found a good page about the movements, at least.
Lol yes! That's where Rowan enters lol!)
Abigail was watching Rowan, but only from the corner of her eye; now that she knew the girl, and remembered her slightly, she had her eyes on her. She was sending Stil (the swedish gelding) into a perfect Pirouette, very basic movement for them, nothing difficult as she began to warm him up. She wore her same riding clothes as before, but now has gloves and a top-quality helmet to match, and her saddle sat well on the gelding.

{XD I found a video a few days ago that showed movements so yay! She says she won't tell me because I jumped instead of dressage. Uh, what? Lol}
{Of course!}
Once she made sure everything was good to go, Rowan glanced around at the other riders. She didn't fully understand why she felt nervous all of a sudden, but she started to wish she was back home in her own little ring by herself with Moon and some music to practice to. Another look around the arena was enough to have Rowan send Moon walking down the rail before going back to her basic movements. She didn't want to show off, so she had Moon work on her half pass. It was fairly easy, and Rowan kept her posture the same, her back straight and hands close. How did I manage to turn into a nervous idiot in less than a day? She wondered.

Abigail was quick to not waste anymore time; she needed a partner to practice with in the group, to catch the interest of the trainer. It would show they were trying, and that meant the world to instructors. Prove you wanted it in whatever way possible, and you would receive the best. "Piaffe together?" she requested as she lined up Stil with Moon and Rowan, dipping her head ever slightly in approach.

Rowan stopped Moon and nodded in return, adjusting Moon so they were aligned. "Of course," She answered with a small smile. But she was serious about her training, and practicing with Abigail would help her and Moon get better as a team. After all, dressage was all about the horse and rider demonstrating how they worked to complete the tests. Any chance to improve brought her a step closer to top level.

(Hello and welcome! Absolutely, we would love to have you! Do you have any questions?)
Abigail cleared her throat; while she was focused, moves like this were near second-nature for her, and Stil was very easily able to handle the movement. "The trainer is watching us closely. Trying to remind themselves of all the students, yes? Or perhaps decide who may out compete who? Better yet, determine who to place with who to train and work, I suspect?" she mentioned, keeping her lips tight as she spoke, so it wouldn't appear they were talking as they sent the horses into the near stand-still trot, the elegant movement meant to show off the horse's ability to perform.

Rowan casually glanced around, keeping her head still as Moon continued the movement. "Potentially," She mumbled in reply. Her mare had her head high and she found that she was excited for show season again. She felt her shoulders start to slump forward and fixed her back, keeping it straight. "I imagine they already have some idea by now, if they remember past performances," Rowan added, looking in front of her horse to disguise the fact she had spoken. The horse barely needed her help to keep moving, and she was proud of the result of their training.

Abigail tilted her head ever so slightly. "Of course. But things change each year, with new students. And we have more than a couple. Trying to keep only the best, I persume. That must mean good things for us, I believe," she remarked as they transitioned out of the movement. "Your pick," she spoke to Rowan, referring to the next movement. "Show me exactly what the dutch mare can do," she grinned, though it was a very tight-line of one. Her typical, though. Her accent was dampening, something that often happened when she was quiet. It only showed through overly so when she was louder, less private. Usually only when she was out of focus, speaking of more 'casual' activities.

"I think you are right," She spoke as she paused to think of one before an idea popped into her head. "How are your flying changes?" She asked quietly as she moved ahead with Moon to started practicing. The mare demonstrated an excellent one as she moved in a collected canter and changed the lead. The dapple grey shook her mane as she came back around, and Rowan thought the horse seemed to show off. She rolled her eyes and glanced toward Abigail, waiting to see her and her gelding show what they could do.

I will get to adding them tomorrow probably, but for now you are approved and good to go! We're rping the morning Group Lesson now, so let me know who you want to rp and we can start!)
Abigail chuckled, surprised Rowan would even ask. Of course they were good...yet as she kicked Stil into a canter and sent him around the ring, the gelding faltered, waiting just a quarter stride later to actually implement Abigail's directive. The girl frowned as she slowed him back to an immediate walk, biting her lip. Hmm...Was he being petty, or simply failed to enact her request?

Rowan raised an eyebrow as she watched it happen. She slowed Moon and waited, wondering if she would try it again. It wasn't the worst thing that could have happened, but Rowan had a feeling it got to Abigail. She patted her own horse to settle her down as she tried it again herself, practicing it over. Moon did it exactly as she did last time, and she looked back at the pair. I hope everything is okay.

(Whatever is good, no preference!
I still have to make my Saddleseat student so maybe just Olivia for now, I have Mick in H/J and Jamie as head trainer ^.^ )
Mickey was watching her group with just a hit of nerves. Despite having been here and practiced and known what it was like a whole year before this, first time in an new year seemed different, somehow. She caught sight of another girl around her age on her own horse, as the group was listening to Jamie talk about the importance of "all sub-disciplines" and being the best overall Hunter/Jumper.
Abigail gritted her teeth as she turned to press Stil forward into a canter again, around the ring once more. As she cut across- careful to watch the movement of other riders to be certain she had the all clear- she requested a flying change to Stil, pulling back ever so slightly on the reins to hold him in the mouth, while squeezing with both legs to single the change to her horse. The gelding performed it right on cue this time, which while it irritated her that it occurred in the first place, she rolled her eyes and came to a stop beside Moon and Rowan. "Big lunk of lard," she teased, patting her horse on the neck- clear of mane as it was tightly braided- and chuckled. "He can be a pickle sometimes for sure. What about your mare? She ever Test you for the thrill of it?"

Rowan smiled and she looked down at her mare. "Only when she decides to be extra mareish. But yes, she does," She answered honestly. The horse let out a loud snort and flicked her tail, which Rowan laughed at. "She's sensitive too," She added teasingly as she set a hand on the mare's side. "That last time was just about perfect. Though I didn't expect anything less," Rowan complimented. She liked having someone to talk to about the discipline, and she already learned a little just by watching the other student.
