"You're not drowning..." A sigh of relief left Komaeda, and he ceased to slam his fists on the tank, the glass cool against his fingers. "...That's good..."
A sheepish smile crossed his face at Hinata's question, helplessly shrugging in response. "I'm not sure! Maybe the room decided to pick on you specifically?" His gaze trailed from Hinata's eyes to the bottom of his fin, taking in his change in appearance. He particularly took interest in Hinata's scales, admiring how the light reflected off the green and created such pretty colors, resembling the hope that Komaeda always saw in him. Magnificent and majestic... brought out by an outside force.
He fell silent, his thoughts consumed by Hinata's new form, forgetting that, for a moment, staring at someone was considered rude.

"Ah, yes!" Zacharie hopped slightly and pointed up with one finger. "You are Ciel! Why did you not recognize me at first?" he asked. Did he still not recognize him? "How are you today then?" the merchant continued quickly.

"That's what I've been telling you," the boy said in a frustrated tone, then sighed. He began pacing back and forth slightly, eubbing his head. "I don't know. Everything is so...strange." He stopped backing, still staring at the ground. "Sorry to be such a bother."

Hinata dragged his webbed hand down the glass. "Too cruel," he muttered, and his eyes finally came back to rest on Komaeda. Realizing he was staring, and suddenly becoming self-conscious of his appearance, he was quick to cross his arms and stare sideways. Why was he staring? Was he..? "W-well," he started, louder than he intended, "I'm sure there's a way out of here. Can you start looking?"
Hinata ignored the heat rushing to his cheeks and his bare shoulders and instead turned away, not even waiting for Komaeda to reply. ..However, this just gave him a better view of the rest of Hinata's newfound and alien appearance.
Hinata didn't need to know that, though. He busied himself with studying the space he was limited to, trying to spot something unusual or exploitable.

"You are never a bother!" Zacharie said with a chuckle, then turned a little more serious again. "Are you feeling all right? Strange how? Ciel... What happened?" The merchant watched him with his worried expression. It seemed that Ciel had certain holes in his memory; it must have happened in his world.

Ciel frowned as he looked up at him again, shaking his hands out in front of him. "Woah you certainly do have a lot of questions," the boy stated, then let his hands drop back to his side. "First off, my butler said that I was dangerously sick. And according to him, once I woke up, I knew nothing." He shrugged like it was no big, watching him curiously. "I'm afraid that's all I recall at the moment. Nothing to worry about."

Komaeda realized he was staring when Hinata did, a sheepish laugh leaving him. "Sorry! The room gave you an awfully pretty set of scales, so I was just admiring them." He pulled away from the glass as he spoke, shamelessly taking in the view when Hinata turned around. "I'll see if there's something I can do." Tearing his gaze away from his classmate, he moved towards the seashells attached to the wall, his fingers brushing over the smooth surface of the closest one.
Grabbing onto it, he dug his fingers in, and tried to pull the seashell off the wallpaper. This was to no avail, however, as it seemed to be attached with some heavy duty glue or something of the sort. Sighing, he let go of the shell, flexing his sore fingers. While he was at a loss for what to do (the room was pretty bare, after all), he decided to sneak another glance at Hinata. It truly was a pretty sight... The light glimmering off his tail, and the colors it created as a result...
He couldn't help but stare at him.

Zacharie hesitated to believe him completely. At the least, it seemed like Ciel could be omitting some helpful information. The way the situation was explained made it seem fixable though. At any rate, Zacharie slowed down to avoid giving his friend more of a headache. "All right... I hope he's taking care of you. Is there anything I can do?" He took a deep breath, then gave a faint smile from behind his mask.

Hinata heard his muffled apology come through the glass. He glanced over at him to make sure he was looking around after a solid minute, and, to his surprise, he was. Which comforted him. He felt embarrassed sitting in this isolated tank pretty much naked.
The sooner they get out of here the better.
The mermaid swam along the faux reef, and, begrudgingly, he admitted to himself how fun it was to be able to breathe underwater and swim fast. It took him only a minute to do a lap around the circumference of the tank; However, with this quick way of exploring, he found there was nothing to really see.
His eyes trailed back outside the tank, not noticing Komaeda had stopped to once again watch him like he was some kind of fascinating zoo animal. Then, he got an idea. Hinata finally focused back onto his white-haired classmate, and felt once again mortified he had caught him staring again. He tapped the glass loudly, trying to make Komaeda snap out of this daze, feeling flushed all over again.
..He was gonna hit him once he got out.

Ciel shrugged slightly. "I have returned to normal routine; no need to worry," he stated as he adjusted his tophat. "And I don't know if there is anything you can do. However, If you have an idea, please share." The boy stared up at him, then soon past him and to the door that led to the hallway.

"An idea..." Zacharie frowned in thought and looked away. When he noticed Ciel's gaze drifting, he followed. "Would you like to go?" he asked. It was impossible to completely hide the excitement in his voice. He loved exploration and adventure.

The boy nodded, his frown fading at Zacharie's excitement. "Certainly, let's go," Ciel said as he began forward, heading for the hallway. He glanced back to make sure he was actually going to follow, opening the door that led into the hallway and waiting there for him.

Komaeda watched with fascination as Hinata swam, observing how he moved and swam, maybe even faster than a Super High School Level Swimmer could. His heart fluttered in the moment, his cheeks tinting a slight red as a result.
...What was this?
Yes, Hinata's scales were pretty, with their iridescent glimmer and color, but that was no reason to stare at him as much as he did. That was no reason to find himself as captivated as he was. It wasn't just the pretty shine of his scales or the colors they created in the light. There was something more. There had to be something more.
...Now that he thought about it, this feeling had been growing since he recognized the hope that slept within Hinata, ever since he got acquainted with him and began to learn what his classmates personality was really like. He didn't know his talent, sure, but Hinata didn't either, so he supposed it was something that would come along later.
The next thought that came to mind took him offguard, and made his heart beat against his chest.
...Could it be? Someone like him...?
Komaeda was snapped out of his thoughts by the tapping of glass, focusing on the mermaid with alarm. Quickly covering up his shock with a quizzical gaze, he stepped towards the tank, placing his hands on the cool glass once more. "Is something wrong, Hinata-kun? Did you find the way out?" He asked, acting as if his entire awkward staring contest never happened.

Zacharie bounced excitedly after him and stepped into the hallway, looking up and down it and holding onto the straps of his backpack. He had certainly come prepared today, with several baseball bat handles sticking out of the main pocket. "Would you like to pick one?" he asked, whipping around to face Ciel.

Ciel was slowly following him, checking out the doors that they passed. He had barely heard Zacharie speak. "Hm? Oh...yeah," he mumbled, walking past him and farther down the hallway, eventually coming to a stop in front of a door. Putting his hand on the handle, he looked back at him. "Is this one good?"
(What should it be?)

..Why was he staring so much, actually? And why did he look so.. enraptured? Hinata frowned, avoiding locking eyes with Komaeda for a few unsure seconds. ..Wait. Enraptured..? Was he blushing?
Nevermind. Hinata held back from demanding why he was doing this to him, and instead took a deep breath and attempted to move on. For now. "There's no way out of here on my end," the mermaid began. "I'm assuming you've come up with nothing either."
"So I know it sounds.. risky," he tapped the glass with one claw once more, as if for emphasis, "But maybe the solution is to just break the glass." Okay. It sounds flat out dangerous when he explained it out loud.

"Nope! Nothing," Komaeda confirmed, flashing Hinata an apologetic smile. "The seashells seem glued to the wall, but I doubt that's anything to even bother remembering... Sorry." Maybe he would've found something if he weren't staring at Hinata so much, but he doubted that. The room was pretty barren, and there wasn't anything that could be hiding a lever or a switch of some sort. His gaze flickered to the floor. The ground didn't sound or feel hollow when his shoes clicked against the tiles, so there couldn't have been anything there...
His eyes shot back to Hinata at the suggestion of breaking the glass, hesitating for a few moments. "...Well..." he mused, placing a hand against his chin as he thought it over. "...I'm not saying we shouldn't try it, but... I don't think I'll be strong enough for that." He sheepishly smiled and furrowed his eyebrows, crossing his arms in thought.

(Lol it's fine :3 and there's already been a firework room, but classroom sounds fun too!)
Without waiting for a reply, the boy said, "well this is the one I choose." Ciel twisted the doorknob and pushed it open, stepping through and into a classroom setting. He was now standing in the front of the room, all the desks we're currently empty and there didn't seem to be a teacher in there. After a moment or so, he walking around, getting used to the new settings.

(I thought I recalled that but I wasn't sure xD classroom it is! Let's Ougi it up in here)
Zacharie followed Ciel inside without a second thought. He tended to go through a cycle of wariness and seemingly ignorant carelessness in this place. He practically skipped down the aisle that parted the groups of desks, looking around the room. "Hmm..." he began, examining the area. The place was not familiar to him, so he looked to Ciel. "Where... are we?" he asked, still smiling. "Is this an office?" The merchant attempted a guess.

(Oh my xD)
Ciel walked around a little more as he looked around. He shook his head at what Zacharie had said. "It doesn't seem to be an office...instead it's..." He paused, not really knowing what it is himself. He headed up to where the teachers desk would be and began searching through a few drawers before moving onto the desktop, searching for any clues. "Ah this must be a school."

Hinata figured, judging by the fact Komaesa looked quite sickly. He chose to let the idea of Komaeda helping slide. "It's fine. The only issue with my plan is the fact that I could possibly choke on the air and die," he said, running a hand over the gills on his neck. "But I have a feeling that this is the only choice we have at this point." It felt strange how surprisingly calm he was at the aspect of choking on something he could inhale all his life.
The mermaid took a brief second to select a rock from the ground, looking for one that had a particular sharpness. Gripping one secure and pulling it out of the sand, he swam back over to Komaeda, clutching it steadily with both hands. "...Here goes nothing, I guess."
Without hesitation, he drove the rock directly into the glass in front of him, and, luckily enough, it already showed signs of shattering; A shallow, yet obvious crack running sideways and Hinata could already hear the tank around him struggle from the pressure of a few tons of water wanting to escape all at once. As much as it scared him, he continued this endeavor.
"Oh, Komaeda.. You might want to start getting away,"
