Noticing Madoka's confusion, Naegi could only offer an apologetic smile in return. "...It's a long story." Or at least, long and included details Noctin wasn't supposed to know of.
...Sigh. He was getting really, really tired of playing secret keeper. But he wasn't the type to lie, either... Mostly because Noctin could probably tell he was lying. Anyone could. He wasn't the greatest liar, after all.
Suddenly, Madoka had rushed ahead, leaving the boy no choice but to chase after her. "W-wait up!" He stammered, weaving in and out between the people, small "sorry"s leaving his mouth with each and every accidental push.
Then, he finally made it into the room, and Naegi couldn't help but gape at the city before him.
His eyes took in how the light magnificently gleaned off the clean, polished marble surfaces, buildings intricately created. They were large, vast, and daunting for a boy who had only lived a normal life thus far.
Gaze trailing to Noctin, he noted, with confusion, he seemed more... confident, than usual.
"Interesting..." Was all Komaeda could murmur when he entered the room, green eyes taking in the details presented to him. Then, he began to look to the others, trying to gauge a possible difference in their personalities. Noctin and Sherlock had both certainly changed at least a little, as they held himself with more pride now.
...Sometimes, Noctin was easier to read than Hinata was. Which he didn't think was possible.

(It's okay Drowning! I hope you feel better soon!)
Standing close to the group, Bass suppressed a bored yawn. He was ready to march inside the room until something colorful caught his attention. Suddenly, he found himself gazing at Flandre's wings. There was no way this girl could be human, right? "Hey, girlie," The robot called out, ambling over to her. "What are you suppose to be? You don't look human..."

Shigeo blinked in in the hallway, catching himself before he fell over. On one hand, he was glad to have blinked during a school lesson, so that he wouldn't have to start falling asleep, but... on the other hand, now he'd have to wait even longer for the school day to be over.
Looking around himself, Mob noticed a few people entering a room. Being ever the crowd follower, Mob trailed after, assuming that it was what they should be doing. He caught a glance of two familiar figures- Naegi and Komaeda- and decided that perhaps the best thing to do would be ask them what everyone was doing.
The vast city that stood before the group of people was... I dunno, pretty cool, I guess. He scooted to catch up to the mess of white hair known as Komaeda, to greet him, since Naegi seemed to be occupied with someone else at the moment.
"Ah, Komaeda-san... It's nice to see you again." He says, despite having been roasted by the other the last time they spoke. "What are we all doing?"

Fire dodged the weak strike easily and grabbed at Shaw's mind again. You don't want to hurt me. In all fairness, she could tell that Shaw hadn't meant to startle her, but she wanted to stop any possible escalation here. The last thing she wanted was a fight. "Come on," she said out loud. "Let's just go in the room."
Noctin turned slightly at Madoka's voice. "It looks safe," he said, not nearly as wary as he typically was when he went into rooms. He didn't doubt that he could handle whatever the room tried to throw at him. He knew he could. An almost playful glint appeared in his gaze. Bring it, he thought, walking even further into the room. Hearing Sherlock, he turned to find the man watching him disdainfully. Shrugging lazily, he said, "And I can tell that you're an ass without asking."

Eises tried to peek around the blinkers in front of her to get a look at the room. She couldn't get a good glance, and her tail flicked in light annoyance. "Excuse me." she said to particularly no one as she wiggled her way around everyone and into the room, not being able to wait any further. Her pace slowed and her eye widened upon entering; she wasn't sure what to expect out the room, but this definitely was not it. She slowed to a halt to gaze around the tops of the buildings. This placed seemed nothing like the other cities she had been to.

Shaw paused, puzzled as the pressure in her mind shifted slightly, it was distinctly more peaceful now. No...she didn't want to hurt the girl. She blinked, squinting as her eyes found her fallen weapon, and it wasn't as if she wanted to grab it but couldn't, it was more like she couldn't make herself want it at the moment. "Room. Fine." She said without really meaning to, turning towards the crowd of people entering a room. "I'm gonna need a weapon, though..."
"Oh, please, is that supposed to insult me?" Sherlock's tone was downright cocky now, his hands were in his pockets and he was moving with exaggerated confidence. He knew he was smarter than the rest of the blinkers combined, they were like mice in comparison. Little lab rats. "I know you come from a kingdom at war, a war you don't approve of. I know you're trying to stop it, you're directly involved, possibly because your family is, more likely because you're at fault, so what did you do, and why was it so offensive?" He finished the words with a flourish, staring intensely at Noctin without the slightest concern for what John would say.

Walking into the room, Flandre noticed two people start fighting pretty quickly. What was going on? The room didn't have very much affect on the small vampire, although there might be a slight change. Her sister would be far more effected then she is.
Instinctively though, she moved towards a pink haired girl she saw, simply because she seemed nice.

Fire waited and watched Shaw, only relaxing when the other woman did. Thankfully it had been successful. Most of the time it took a lot more work. A quiet sigh escaped her, and she followed Shaw toward the room. At the mention of needing a weapon, Fire frowned. She didn't have her bow and arrows with her. Reaching into the room with her mind, she couldn't detect any hostile intentions. It seemed safe, except for Noctin and Sherlock bickering. "I don't think you'll need one," she said. "But it'd be best to stay alert."
Noctin listened to what Sherlock was saying. He might have been right at one point, but things had changed. Noctin wouldn't have started the rebellion unless he believed in its cause. And he did believe in it. He believed in it with everything he had. As for his family, he could have laughed. Neither of his families were involved. It was all him. Even if Sherlock was technically right about the war kinda being his fault, Noctin knew he had only been a tipping point. The war would have happened whether he had killed Dier or not. "That was impressive," he said, nodding encouragingly. "You only got everything wrong. Keep going, please, I'm very curious as to what else you think you know."
Alright I gotta go to work and I'm not gonna be back until 10:30 est. You guys can continue without me ^^ If you finish the pride room the next one is greed)

Both Naegi and Komaeda were unaffected for one very simple reason: they both believed they were completely, utterly normal. In Naegi's case, it was a simple way of thinking for him. Never believed he was higher or lower than anyone else. Just... normal. And he had lived a relatively normal life, with loving parents and a loving sister. The mutual killing game and the House in general were the only out of ordinary things that ever happened to him.
Komaeda was a little different in how he saw himself. He saw himself as complete and utter garbage just for being 'normal', even if he can acknowledge his own luck. He never saw his episodes as out of the ordinary. Just normal. Disappointingly normal. So normal that he had a debilitating self esteem for it. Which is why this room probably affected him the least...
Naegi's attention was caught by Madoka, who he gave a small shake of his head. "No, never," he said, seeing that Madoka was just as astonished he was. "Maybe in history books, but... never in person like this. It's..." His gaze trailed back to the city. "...beautiful, that's for sure. This place really is something."
The sound of bickering hit his ears, dragging his attention away from the magnificent buildings before him. Catching what would only build up to be a full blown argument between both Noctin and Sherlock, he sighed reluctantly before approaching the two of them. ...Noctin will probably stalk away or ignore him anyways. "Hey, let's not argue... And I don't think you should be trying to reveal something as personal as that, Sherlock-san. Something like that can be... a really sensitive subject to some."
Meanwhile, Komaeda was preoccupied with Mob, so he couldn't exactly play peacekeeper at the moment. Besides, it looks like Naegi has it handled anyways. "Oh, Mob-kun!" He greeted the boy, offering him a small wave. "We're in a room right now. If I had to guess..." His gaze trailed to the bickering two in the room. "...I'd say that it boosts some of our egos."

Sherlock didn't believe for a second he had gotten a single thing wrong, it just didn't happen. The problem was, he was so carried away by the overpowering flood of pride he wasn't bothering to be careful with his deductions, and so every little possibility seemed like a hard cold fact to him. "Yes, yes, keep telling yourself that. Oh and I'm not performing for your entertainment, so you can forget that idea." He glanced over at the others, eyebrows raised, but didn't bother addressing any of them. What could they possibly say that he hadn't already thought of?
Shaw blinked, remaining alert but not quite so aggressive, and shot Fire a look of mistrust. "What did you just do to me?" She asked bluntly, taking a small step back as she returned to full control over her mind. "What is this, some kinda high-tech government facility? I'm not talking, and no amount of hypnosis crap is gonna change my mind, so let's stop wasting everyone's time, all right?"

Madoka felt herself smile. Naegi really was just a normal boy, wasn't he? Even though Madoka was amazed by the sight as well, she couldn't say she had never seen anything similar to it outside of the house. "Yeah, it really is," she agreed.
She glanced at the other two again, her brow beginning to crease as she watched them. Before she could make a move, she watched as Naegi approached Sherlock and Noctin by himself. That was also when she spotted Flandre walking towards her. For a moment Madoka had forgotten that Flandre had, well, forgotten her, but it only took a second for her to notice that there was no recognition in the young vampire's eyes. Madoka's expression shifted for just a moment and she took in a slow breath.
Madoka raised her hand to give a wave and offered a smile to Flandre. "Hello," she greeted, pausing as her eyes flickered back towards the bickering and a thought crossed her mind. She then asked, "are you feeling alright in this room?"

The middle schooler's eyes trailed to the front of the group, where two people seemed to be arguing. Naegi seemed to be trying to calm them down. Expression stagnantly dead as ever, he glanced back to the older boy.
"Oh... That's probably not good." Shigeo mumbled, eyes flickering back to the people in front of them. Inflated egos, fighting... He could only be reminded of the first time he met a certain blonde esper. "Why wouldn't it effect everyone, though? Do you need a certain level of confidence...?" The esper wasn't nearly prideful enough to be effected by the room, either.

"Am I feeling alright? I feel fine," Flandre blinked her eyes for a moment, spinning her parasol a little bit but not letting any of the sunlight touch her skin. "Why? Is it 'cause of them?" The vampire immediately turned to point towards the bickering pair.

"Woah!" Immediately was the first thing that came out of Hinata's mouth as he blinked in. A city! ..But everything is made out of marble? Quickly, he turned to the current crowd. ..He was actually quite thankful there were people here. Staring out into such an empty, desolate place made him a bit anxious. Being isolated here.. Would not be a pleasant experience.
What kind of room is this suppose to be, anyways? Hinata stepped towards the conversation, listening in an attempt to learn more.
Homura blinked in. She started, shoes clicking as she stepped back which only echoed off into the emptiness of it all. Despite the conversation of her fellow blinkers which filled it's brim almost annoyingly, she could tell it was normally silent. ..It unnervingly reminded her of..
She chose to think about something else, eyes casting to a familiar pink-haired girl in the midst of people. ..She was safe. For now.

"I'd guess so," Komaeda agreed, catching Hinata's exclaim of surprise. He gave his classmate a nod of acknowledgement before continuing his conversation with Mob. "I guess we're not effected because we're not particularly prideful..." He had noted that the more humble members (including what he saw of Hinata in this room so far) had acted relatively normal. He thought Noctin would think poorly of himself, too, but... it seems that he was wrong. "I think we'll be fine for the most part. Sure, there'll be some arguing, but nothing too big."
Sighing, it was blatantly clear to Naegi that he had been completely and utterly ignored. Well, he thought, it's better than being knocked out. He turned to continue his conversation with Madoka, realizing he was too late once he saw that she was preoccupied at the moment. Leaning up against a nearby building, the cool surface bleed through his jacket(s), making itself known along his back.
Glancing at the crowd, Naegi noticed Hinata in the midst of it all, waving to him quickly. He was rather short, after all. It'd probably be hard to spot him, as much as he'd hate to admit. "Hinata-kun! Over here!"

"Homura..?" Flandre echoed the name, looking over at the dark haired girl's general direction. The first impression Flandre got of the other, darker puella magi, was that she seemed very cold to her. The vampire's wings twitched slightly because of it.

"I suppose that would make sense." Shigeo noted, letting the conversation settle at that. He glanced back at the two other faces that entered the room as well. There sure were a lot of people he didn't recognize in the House... And the thought of meeting them all was a little daunting.
He blinked a few times, looking at Hinata, before whipping his head around to look at Naegi, then back to Hinata. He hadn't met the darker haired boy, but he and Naegi looked kind of similar. (It was the ahoge, mostly. The fact that it was so prominent on both of them was amazing to the esper. How did they get such good lift?) Komaeda seemed to know him... Maybe he should ask.
Fingers instinctively going to Komaeda's sleeve, Mob tugged it to grab his attention again, eyes still settled on Hinata. "Komaeda-san, can I ask something strange?..." Without waiting for an answer, he started, "You know him, right? Is that boy related to Naegi-san?" He's bad at grabbing social cues, so hopefully the question wasn't too 'out there' or off topic at that point in time.

"Eh?" Komaeda absentmindedly asked, following Mob's gaze to both Naegi and Hinata. He laughed a bit at Mob's question; he supposed they did look familiar hair-wise. "No, at least, not family-wise. They do know each other, though." He was used to answering such questions, no matter if they seemed bizzare or strange. After all, he was practically Hinata's guide back on the island. It was no different here, except there was far more people using him as a source of information... He couldn't help but laugh sheepishly at the thought.
Of course, Hinata's questions will always be answered first and foremost, if need be. He was a classmate with endless, glimmering potential.
"If you have any other questions, don't be afraid to ask," Komaeda said, tone polite and smile amiable. "I'm used to answering them by now. Really..."

Homura was planning to stay quiet and purely observant for this room, but.. Madoka calling her over had already attracted a few glances. The magical girl stepped over to her friend, calm and lukewarm in disposition. As usual. "Hello," she greeted both girls. Despite her stiff attitude, she wasn't being impolite or unfriendly. "This is a room, correct?"
Hinata would be listening to Komaeda if it weren't for another voice instantly grabbing his attention over the discussion. His head turned, and a small, relieved smile crossed his face when he recognized the familiar person. "Naegi!" he greeted, moving towards him. "..How are you?" The last time he saw the lucky student, he..
What an unusual room, He thought to himself all of a sudden. Miraculously, Hinata managed to not let his smile wither.

Mob hummed at Komaeda's response, eyes still glued to Hinata as he approached Naegi, confirming that he knew him, just as Komaeda had said. When the white haired boy continued, telling Mob that it was okay to ask anything, the esper finally peeled his eyes away to look back at him.
"Ah, okay... Thank you. I'll let you know if I have any questions." Mob gave a slight smile, grateful for Komaeda's patience with him. The silence built between them again, the esper not really having anything else to say. Their group had come to a halt, waiting to enter the city. Not that he minded- It was quite a view from out here. And who knows what was waiting for them inside... Shigeo was trying to think of any questions he could ask the lucky student, but nothing worth asking quite came to mind, so he just continued to watch everyone beside the older boy.
(( I have to go, I'll be back in like, a few hours though 👀👀 ))
