(Sounds good!)
A young boy blinked into the House sitting on the floor in front of the coffee table, scribbling lines on a blank piece of paper. It took him a couple moments before he realized his surroundings have changed - he could no longer hear his caretaker humming softly in the background while she cleaned. Matteo looked up from the paper and glanced around the empty house. He couldn't help but smile. It had been a while since he was last here and he had thought he'd never see this place again. The boy stood up, leaving his artwork behind as he began searching the main room, just trying to keep himself busy while he waited for more guests to arrive.

A second later, a different figure appeared, hands reaching back to tie his ponytail as he said, "Look, it's easier if I don't cut it." Only to stop, blink (with his eyes in this case), and turn to look around. A smile appeared on his lips when he saw the young boy. "Matteo!" he said cheerfully. If there was any memory in his brain on the prior shaky terms that being in the House had produced between the two of them, he gave no sign of it. "How are you?" He noticed the piece of paper and added, "What were you drawing?" broken

( mintedstar/fur I need to look back and reread that arena room again lol I'm pretty sure that's what you're referencing) The kid paused for a moment when he heard a familiar voice before a slight smile came across his face. "Mister Myrnin!" He immediately headed in his direction. "I've been ok! I missed this place a lot. How about you?" The boy glanced back at the table where he wad left his art, shrugging. "Oh, uh maybe a flower? I dunno, I was just making something for Celia since she was able to get me new crayons. But it really doesn't look that good."

( broken Ye. Also just that Myrnin is generally a sucky person in those kinds of rooms. It's been a *looooooooong* time since I read the Arena room.) "I don't think you've mentioned Celia that often," Myrnin admitted, unsure if Matteo had ever mention Celia to him at all. "Who is she?" Not his mother, presumably, but he had heard little bits here and there about Matteo's life to suggest it wasn't always clear cut like that. "And flowers are neat. What's your favorite flower? And yes, I missed this place too." His face was split with the usual wide grin.

( mintedstar/fur that's fair. I'm pretty sure that room was kinda messed up anyway. if I find it, I'll let you know what page!) "Oh Celia takes care of me! She's like my mom," Matteo replied with a smile. "But she doesn't like me calling her that..." He reached for the drawing and stared at it for a second, thinking about his question. "My favorite flower?" The boy tried to think about if he had ever learned about any types of flowers before either in a book or on TV. If so, he didn't remember any names, but he could probably describe it. "Uhh, the big yellow ones? They have a big brown center and they're very tall! And I'm pretty sure they love the sun."

( broken Sounds like a plan!) "Sunflowers!" Myrnin said cheerfully. "Yeah, those are really fun. I like them too. I like morning glories as well. They're purple and diamond shaped and they grow on vines." He seemed perfectly happy to explain various sorts of flowers to the kid. But it also left the curiosity of Celia to address. "Is Celia like a nanny or ...? Did you know your parents at all?" It seemed like he probably didn't. Still, Matteo's life was rather curious.

He repeated the flower's names a few times under his breath, matching the names with the descriptions. The boy loved learning new things and meeting people in the House has definately helped him. If it wasn't for this place, he'd be stuck with reading books and watching tv all day- or Celia would sometimes teach him things after work is she wasn't too tired. He blinked his eyes at Myrnin's next question. "Yes she is," he replied, looking up at him. "And my parents? Um..." He wasn't too sure how to respond to that. No one has really ever asked him. "I don't think I've ever met them. I don't know if clones even have parents."

Yes, Myrnin had been wondering the same. He presumed it was possible. But, well, the finer details of that likely weren't discussed with Matteo. "Hmm. How many people have you met, exactly?" he asked, figuring he'd set the other thoughts away for the time being. "And how big is the area you get to explore? Go on any vacations or anything?" He wasn't completely sure why he was asking. It wasn't like he could help the boy or give him anything that could help. Nothing really worked like that in the House. But still ... the questions remained.

(i think i found the room actually. Around page 780ish if it's that battle royale type room. it took a couple searches ^^' )
Matt shifted from foot to foot, starting to grow uncomfortable with these questions. He didn't know why he wanted to know him all of a sudden. "Well there's Celia... and there's these two kids I met one time when I snuck out. But she doesn't know that." He squinted his eyes up at him, his head tilted to one side. "Vacation?" The boy shook his head. "I dunno what you mean. I usually stay inside all day because she says it's safe and doesn't want me to get hurt. But I can go outside only with her supervision! It's a lot of fun when I'm allowed to!" After his reply, he tossed the paper back on the coffee table and hopped on the couch, quickly sitting cross-legged. "Are you done with the questions now? Because I want to know more about you then, Mister Myrnin!"

(Wow. That was so long ago. @.@ )
Myrnin supposed he was. Though he couldn't help arching his eyebrows at the 'Mister.' "How old do you think I am?" he joked. Then shrugged and settled down into his own chair. Then he lazily, and with some amusement, waved his hand. "Fine then. What questions do you got?" The amusement was laced in his voice too. Clearly, this was more than just a bit humorous to him. "I've got all the time in the world, so whatever questions you have, I'm all ears."

(I know! I didnt think it was tbat far back either lol)
"Hm?" Matteo stared blankly at him for a moment. Well Myrnin looked like he was about 25, but he didn't care either way. He usually called everyone mister or miss, just out of politeness. "Well I might have asked this before, but what's your world like?" He leaned forward in the couch a little bit as he waited for the answer. "Or just anything cool you want to tell me mister! Like do you have a job?" He paused for a brief moment, remembering some of the things he had learned in the House from other visitors. "Or do you go to school?"

"It has vampires," Myrnin said with a chuckle. "That doesn't seem to be the norm everywhere. Or maybe they're just really good at hiding. It's rather modern. Oh ... and I'm not from Japan. I'm from the US, at least right now. I don't know if you know what those places are though." The grin he had on grew wider at the suggestion of school. "My dear boy, no. I am the school. Ish. Well ... I have an apprentice. People don't tend to do that very often. But I teach her alchemy. She is quite smart. Claire, that is. I have a job then, I suppose. 'Teacher' isn't particularly accurate, I much prefer alchemist. Since that is what I do." A longer beat as he looked Matteo up and down. "Do you go to school? Or rather, are you schooled? Do they teach you things?"

"Yea I only know about vampires from this place..." Matt replied as he trailed off, looking to his lap for a brief second. Overall, his experience with vampires isn't great. He shook the thoughts away as he mentioned where he was from. "I know what the US is! I'm from Opium, which is between the US and Aztlán (Mexico)!" He went quiet for a minute, then nodded. "Yes, I learn mostly on my own and Celia teaches me some things. But I've heard others' stories about school here and it sounds like a lot of fun! Oh- and alchemy? Can you teach me? Whatever that is, that sounds fun!"

Myrnin leaned forward on his chair and placed his hands in front of him, considering Matt and his request. "Fun is an interesting word for it. Fascinating is what it is. But I suppose I could. What do you know about science?" It was rather up for debate. He had no idea what Opium was - as a location, that was. What he did know was that that Matteo came from a world that was distinctly different from his, at least politically enough to have a new country (since that was the only thing he could assume Opium was in this case). So what did they teach the boy? That would rather depend. What could he teach him as well? After all, this was the House. He didn't exactly have access to his lab.

"Hm, science? I know some things I guess, but mostly about some animals and that stuff since it interests me," Matteo muttered. "But I know you're a lot smarter than me! You must know tons!" The boy beamed at him, leaning forward a bit so he was basically on the edge of the couch. "So I want to learn whatever you'll teach me!" He shrugged, taking his gaze off Myrnin and now looking around the room. There probably wasn't much here if he even wanted to teach the boy anything. He did have one idea though- not that the House would listen if they were to enter a room. And the odds of it being a peaceful room is probably slim. "But I understand if you don't want to right now. I'm happy just talking to you, mister!"

"Yes, yes," Myrnin mused. He was looking at the hallway. After a second, he stood and clapped his hands. "Alright! To a room then, I suppose. We can probably try something without the inevitable danger, right?" His eyes twinkled a little. "And maybe the House will be nice. Who knows. Regardless, it's all possible. And other than teaching you the composition of blank books, I don't think there's much here that we can do." He nudged a chair with a toe and added, "Or wood. Could teach you about wood. But what's the fun in that." He supposed he could set things on fire. But whatever. He headed off toward the hallway.
(Should we be nice to them? XD )

(Yes please lol I don’t really have any ideas though)
Matteo jumped up from the house, hesitating for a second. “Uh, I hope the room isn’t too bad, then,” he said as he started to slowly follow after him. He glanced around the living room, making sure there were no more visitors who were going to follow after them. The boy quickened his pace to catch up with Myrnin, then reached out a hand to grab ahold of the edge of his shirt. As they began to leave the living room, he stared at the line of doors on either side of the hallway. “You can choose the room if you want!”

(Could always be very hecking funny and full on toss them into an alchemical lab. 'You get exactly what you asked for: present!')
Myrnin looked down with some surprise as Matteo grasped at his shirt. He hadn't really expected this to be how his day went, but here they were. He half smiled and just started walking. He really doubted that it mattered which door he picked, but for flavor more than anything else, he went a bit down the hallway. After a while, he swiveled and took one of the door handles, pushing the door open as he did. As per usual, it felt ... strangely familiar to do this, but he didn't think too long about how long it had taken to get back to the House. Instead he just stepped inside. He was greeted with the smell of earth and wood and the small framework of another hallway. This one more reminiscent of a normal house, albeit slightly old. "So far, so good," he said. "Or at least no quicksand." Though whether saying that was tempting fate or not was another matter.

(Yes I’m perfectly fine with that. They deserve it anyway Also sorry, I’ll try my best to describe the room lol)
Matteo grinned as his friend chose a door. He was still hesitant for a second before following him inside. Thankfully, he was right, it didn’t seem to be too threatening so far. He let out a sigh of relief as he peered down the hallway. “Huh? Another hallway?” He questioned. This was different than the House’s hallways though, the few doors that lined this hall were slightly open just enough to look through. He let go of Myrnin’s shirt as he walked ahead of him, right up to one of the doors. He pushed it open without thought, a light musky smell filling the room. Inside this room was a line of dusty book cases along the back wall, with what looked like potion bottles, books, and other small trinkets on the shelf. In front of these book cases was a rather large wooden table with papers and bottles scattered across it. The boy looked back at his companion. “This place is weird. I wonder what’s behind the other door.”

(You did perfect!)
Myrnin oh so slowly followed, only for his grin to slowly start to grow as they went. The whole situation danced behind his eyes as sparkles. Clearly the House was interested in their endeavors. Or maybe it just sought to mock him, with the house being achingly close to one from his past. Regardless, he said to Matteo, "I think I know exactly what's behind the other door." Which, stepping over to it, he opened it and was proven right. The desk spaces and tables, with the furnace in the corner. A box with the sent of herbs and oils and salts coming from it. The curl of flasks and tubs with the flash of sunlight carefully off them from the window set high in the wall. The room was rather gloomy because of it, but it allowed for any fumes to escape from the slightly open panes of glass. Myrnin turned to look back at Matteo. "Well, it would seem the House heard your request. Welcome to, while not my, a lab!" And he waved around expressively.

The boy stared through the other door that was just opened before walking into the lab. “Oh, well if the House is being nice, that means you get to teach me whatever this stuff is,” he exclaimed as he walked right up to the table. Matt grabbed one of the papers, examining it. It seemed to be instructions about what to mix together and how much of each, but the boy didn’t understand most of it. Instead, he shrugged as he put the paper back down and grabbed one of the flasks of liquid instead. There seemed to be a label on the bottle, but he didn’t pay attention. He turned around and held it out to Myrnin. “So do I just start mixing stuff together? Or is there a certain way to do all this?”
