Ononoki stared blankly back at Touka, just like she had stared at the walls and furniture. It was like the other blinker was only another part of the landscape to her. Her greeting said something different though. "Hello," she murmured. It was meant to be friendly, but came off as if she were reading aloud the most boring manuscript she could find. Then she meant to ask the other person's name, but that came out wrong too. "Who are you?" is what she ended up saying. Rowlin blinking in distracted her, and she turned her body toward the other blinker when she heard the familiar voice. "Oh," it was said as if she were actually a little surprised, but still in a quite calm manner. "It's you again, Devil Boy. I said with a posed look." She was noticing that both of these people seemed to be directing people around when they blinked in. Could it really be coincidence, she wondered, or was there more to it? She wouldn't bother to find out because she wasn't that kind of investigator. She only investigated things she already knew. How ironic. "Looks like I'm here again." Based on the fact that she returned to her world normally, and came here again normally, without much change, it would seem that there wasn't really a way out. This was less of a puzzle to her, and more of a simple statement of fact. Well then, she might as well get used to the people here. This is what she thought as she looked up at them both plainly, appearing pretty helpless in just being a kid but not showing any signs of worry or fright about the strangeness of blinking.

Ougi’s feet kicked into action when Rachel started to walk away. As far as the supernatural, she gave no explanation in the face of the newcomer’s bafflement, instead just joyfully following along. Her limbs avoided the traps just narrowly, but effortlessly nonetheless. She eyed the door with an almost suspicious expression, as if displaying how Rachel was supposed to feel about it. “I would be careful if I were you. If you go alone, chances are you won’t make it out,” she foreboded warmly. One hand met with her shoulder—she had no qualms with breaching personal space today, it seemed. “Good thing you have me here. I’ll be right behind you for whatever room you pick!” Rachel pulled to a sharp stop ... or she was going to, but she'd stepped on a square of carpet that wasn't, apparently, a square. It shifted under her feet, rolling across the floor with the help of a lot of little marbles. Rachel almost lost her balance, but this was only avoided by grabbing onto Ougi's shoulder as well. She was at once distasteful of this need of assistance and backed away again from this strange person. There'd been a warning about the door, but already she didn't really trust what Ougi was saying. "Uh huh ..." said Rachel, not keeping the doubt out of her voice. "And what are these 'rooms' you're talking about then?" Under the pressure of Rachel's grab, Ougi was as supporting and unhuman as a fence post. She didn't even appear to stop moving completely, but her shoulder and that entire side of her body seemed to be stationary in time and space just to let Rachel save herself. "Ah, that was a good catch," she congratulated, keeping her smile even as the other girl backed off. In fact, when she retreated, the student took the chance to get the door for her. It creaked open and revealed the hallway, Ougi's voidlike gaze peeking around it with intrigue. "Oh, they are a supernatural phenomenon. They intrigue me so," she informed her with a succession of nods. "Some people think that one of these rooms will lead you to the exit. If there are infinite possibilities... perhaps it's true." She tilted her head slowly in a gesture of direction, as if the phenomenon would speak for itself just by Rachel taking a few more steps forward.

What a weird little girl, was Touka’s first thought. Her speech was almost robotic - she was looking right at her, but somehow, it seemed more like she was looking through her. It made her kind of nervous - she’d met kids like that before, and most of them would sooner stab you than talk to you. Stowing her reservations for the time being, she nodded, acknowledging the somewhat blunt introduction. “My name’s Touka,” she said lightly. “You?” Then she turned, straightening up as yet another blinker made their appearance, this one as loud as she had been when she’d blinked minutes ago. “I get it,” she reassured him, noticing that he, like many other newbies, still seemed to expect perfect, clean blinks. “The House really seems to love interrupting people.”

Sherlock spun on his heel, the small boy having blinked directly behind him. He cleared his throat awkwardly, both because he wasn’t sure whether the kid had seen him eat a piece of paper and because his throat was still dry, also because he’d eaten a piece of paper. “Hello.” The detective decided quickly that pretending nothing had happened was best. He took a step towards the little boy and focused on him, his dirty face and clothes, his timid posture, clearly not being well taken care of but because no one was trying or no one could? He narrowed his penetrating blue stare. There was something else, he could feel his mind scrambling trying to find it, but he didn’t remember ever seeing this boy before. He frowned and glanced instinctively down at his dirty bare feet, as though he expected them to explain themselves. “My name is Sherlock Holmes, welcome to the Paradox House.” He took a step closer and extended a gloved hand, curious to see if the boy would know to shake it. The boy did not know to shake it and actually flinched back a bit when the hand was extended. Then, cautiously, he realized the hand wasn't going to strike or grab him and instead looked at the palm of it to see if this man was holding something. Apparently not. "Amico," he said, knowing the word was something from another language and not really his name, but it still was better than giving the name that people cringed from. Sherlock Holmes meant nothing to him. "Thanks," he mumbled. "Why are you dressed like that? And are you a different species who eats paper?"

Touka's reassurance didn't make his feel as bad for his previous blunder. He couldn't help but silently nod briefly before speaking up. "Given it was the middle of the day for me, I couldn't help but wonder if it was Europe , Asia or Australia pulling me in for some out of nowhere remark. I'm normally notified ahead of time, but sometimes they just pull me here and there because well..." he trailed off unsure how to fit it into one word. "Reasons!" He added after a brief pause. His green eyes skimmed over to Onnoki who greeted him with the Devil boy comment. Oh boy.. He approached Ononoki in a cheerful manner stopping only a few feet from her. "If there is one request I can make out of sheer politeness, can ya call me Row?" He addressed the doll like girl. "Devil, as cool as that sounds-well, I'd much rather push away from that if it's possible." He waved his hands in the air, "Don't get me wrong, those types of labels are cool but sometimes it's better to let things die." he softly added.

She looked up and to one side, as if needing to remember her name just to tell it to Touka. "Ononoki Yotsugi," she informed her. In that moment, she remembered Juuzou, and meeting him during her first blink. She was still learning about more and more oddities here, as there seemed to be plenty that she didn't know of in her world. "Are you a ghoul?" she asked, still expressionless as though her contemplation before speaking was hardly even detectable. "What's this? You don't like being called that? I understand." The doll conceded easily, turning her head toward Rowlin. Her casual distraction made light of the fact that her interrogation of Touka could be dangerous. All she knew of ghouls was what Juuzou had told her, but she didn't yet know all of the implications or how she could compromise this situation with the wrong move. Her attention shifted from one blinker to the other. "How have you been, Big Brother Row?... I said with a posed look." She had chosen that they were close enough already for these titles. Whether it was an improvement on Devil Boy, it was up to him to decide. "I think we should keep moving." And with that she pointed toward the hallway door. Even though she had no interest in finding an exit, she wasn't one to stay still in a labyrinth for long.

Surprised by the understanding he couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief, "Much appreciated-" It was only now registering what she was referring him too. He silently stood there watching her go, as he continued to process what he just herd. He blinked his bright green eyes at a loss. B-Big brother? She was already walking off, quickly he paced off after her. "C-Coming!" he replied now, racing after Ononoki to keep up. "But might I ask, if we keep going , we will even less know where we are." He added now , thinking of their situation. Actually wait... I still don't know where we are... His eyes skimmed that many doors which sat lonely along the walls. The kiddo had no idea what I was talking about either.... He pondered now, but still kept along with the doll like girl. She was interesting in her own way, actually-she reminded him of the dime a dozen monotone kids who had very difficult times at home, and so to push on they just acted nuetral to everything. He couldn't help but wonder about that on this girl, if that even applied to her.

"I ... I think it's okay," said Sam, looking at the door with a slight frown on his face. He didn't usually test doors for good or bad vibes, but then again, he hadn't been in the House for that long. He could count on one hand how many rooms he'd been in. Truthfully, he hadn't even run into many distasteful rooms. So he asked. "Are rooms bad a lot? Or ...?" He looked slightly concerned. Slowly he nodded at the door. "Er ... but we can try this one." Nico glanced at Sam, hoping his expression was readable. There was a lot he didn't really want to talk about, especially on the subject of bad rooms. "I... I've seen a lot of bad things happen. But there are lots of good ones too, I suppose. I... well, the bad outnumber the good, for sure, but..." he was close to shutting down and stopping the words, close to opening the door and leaving Sam behind because he didn't want to talk about it, but it was an innocent question. The least Nico could do was answer it honestly. "Part of it is that there are so many neutral rooms that were made bad by personal experience, either at home or here. I don't know how others saw those rooms... whether they were bad or not." Nico's voice was quiet at that. He couldn't quite meet Sam's eye, so he opened the door and stepped in. He found himself in the sky. Well, not exactly in the sky, but close enough which was terrifying enough as it was. He cursed softly under his breath as he looked out over the skyline - the skyline that he was part of, it seemed, perched on the edge of a very tall roof. There were no shadows to travel through, that he could see. The sun was beating down on him, hot and unpleasant, bleaching everything with its light. No shadows large enough to crouch in and move through. There was, it seemed, a bridge between this building and the next, but when he turned back to ask Sam his opinion on taking the bridge, he found he was alone. Sam had been planning to answer - to say something which he hoped would reassure Nico or at the very least apologize for prying into business he was sure he shouldn't have - but as soon as he'd stepped through the door he was no longer in any place that was possible. The light changed in an instant, from dim to completely dark. His eyes twinged painfully as they expanded, complete darkness changing to roughly the same gloom as the hallway had been. There was very little light and the air felt damp. "Nico?" he asked, turning, but he couldn't see the boy nor could he smell him. Attempting to do so, however, nearly caused him to double over, a hand over his nose. He pressed his back against a wall, hissing through his teeth. Chemicals and water and stuff he didn't want to put a name to. Light coming from above him and the sight of which already caused his eyes to sting. He could assume, at least from what he could guess from movies, that this was a sewer. Which meant what? He looked left and right, feeling like he was going to choke. Hesitantly, feeling like a weight was pressing on him, he stopped breathing. It helped, a little, but he felt badly. He'd been able to think for a while that he was human. Right now, everything was telling him otherwise. Right and left were just another tunnel, stretching into places he couldn't see. Hesitantly, he started to go right.

Rue laughed too, her eyes bright as she glanced down at the skateboard under her foot. The idea that she could actually learn to do that seemed impossible, completely unreachable, but when she looked st the older boy she realized he was serious. He was really willing to teach her, if she wanted to learn how. It was like stepping into the forest for the first time and realizing that the birds weren’t the only ones who could dance in the sky. It hadn’t been easy to learn how to balance on a slender limb as she reached for the fruit, or how to get back down without landing wrong and twisting her ankle, but now it was easier than walking. This was completely different, though. It was still balancing, sure, but it was faster, freer even than climbing because he didn’t depend on a tree to support him. He didn’t depend on anything but himself once he was in the air. “Okay....” She agreed as he held the board steady, and she put one foot on. So far so good. “Woahh, it’s wobbly!” She gasped as she stepped all the way on, her arms spread out on either side of her for balance. She bent her knees like he said and stood as still as she could, swaying slightly as the board shifted under her weight, but she didn’t fall. “It’s a little bit like being in a tree when it’s windy, isn’t it?” Noah grinned as Rue wobbled, but he held out his hand in case she wanted something steady to lean on. The nice thing about the House was that he was able to have full faith in the fact that he was tangible. He didn't have to worry about any fluctuating energy source that could give out - the House had enough energy to feed off of right there. "You're doing great," he told her quietly, no lies behind his words. He was genuinely impressed. He had fallen off the first hundred times he'd tried to stand on the board, but he'd gotten up every time. "I... yes, I suppose it's like that," he replied, a bit surprised by the comparison. He recalled his younger days when he used to climb trees, getting high enough that the wind felt like it could sweep him away if he let it. It had felt like being part of the sky, for a moment... he supposed that was what he felt like soaring through the air on his skateboard, too, before that had been taken from him. His cheeks reddened as a bit of life returned to the boy as he let himself dwell in the memory. "Hold on," he told Rue softly, leaning down and walking forward, pushing the board with him. He wasn't going to let go of it quite yet - he didn't want to force Rue out on her own, but he wanted her to get used to the feeling of the board moving under her, at least until she felt confident enough to rely solely on her own balance instead of Noah's steady hand. Rue grabbed his hand as her balance faltered, steadying herself and barely managing to keep her feet on the board. Then she remembered to bend her knees. That helped, but she still gripped Noah’s hand for extra support, expecting herself to go tumbling off at any second. “You made this look so easy.” She breathed, but she beamed at the praise anyway. It was a warm, unfamiliar feeling, like burying yourself in a heavy blanket during a snowstorm, and she clutched it close to her heart where it couldn’t fly away. “I climb trees all the time.” She explained, hearing the surprise in his tone. “So I’m used to balancing. I-oh!” Whatever she had been about to say next was cut off as the board moved, and her center of balance shifted. Her feet slid out from under her and she toppled off the board, letting go of Noah’s hand just in time to break her fall and roll on her back instead of landing flat on her face. For a moment she simply blinked up at the sky, too surprised to suddenly find herself on the ground to react. Then slowly, a laugh that started deep in her lungs and worked it’s way up escaped her lips in a musical, almost birdlike sound. She sat up and grinned at Noah, her face flushed and her eyes bright with pure happiness. “That...was awesome. ”

He dropped his hand, satisfied that the boy didn’t know what a handshake was. Amico....no, the name didn’t trip any alarms in his brain. So what was it that was so...so familiar about the dirty face peering anxiously up at him? “What’s this?” He turned the collar of his overcoat up, glancing quickly down at his shirt as though he’d forgotten what it was he was wearing. “Oh, it’s normal where I come from, actually, especially when it’s cold. So you’re pretty new here, then, what is this, your second blink? Third?”

Ononoki plainly ignored any of his surprise, having already moved on to the next task at hand after changing his nickname. She paced ahead while he seemed to talk in the background. She had no fear of being lost, even though the first thing she did when she originally blinked in was to ask for directions. Now, it was only a matter of wandering and waiting. The blinkers themselves did still interest her because she could catalog new oddities thanks to them, so there wasn't a good reason to separate from the people she met. "So what else are you, Row? That you didn't want to tell anyone." Ononoki stated it plainly, not one to tiptoe around a secret. She didn't display any embarrassment or apprehension about mentioning something so serious; it was like she didn't even expect him to be bothered by it. "...I said with a posed look." She didn't stop for any of the doors. It could be that none looked appealing to her, or that she wanted to hear his answers first. It was more than likely that if she wanted to, she could walk these halls forever without feeling tired, or hungry, or bored. And even just from the first minute of walking, that was becoming quickly apparent.

(You're fine. ) "Very," said Maladict without much hesitation. He didn't even second guess the assumption. The difference was ... if he truly thought about it too long he wouldn't be so sure. If calling something an animal only meant did it have fur and teeth or something than he and Kelsier counted. Animal didn't technically mean that it was something to worry about. However, Maladict was fairly confident that this was. Or it was a fuzzy, large invisible rock. Either way, Kelsier's attempts couldn't do any harm ... right? "How confident are you that you can figure this out through some other method?" pressed Mal, wondering what sorts of skills Kelsier had. “I’m confident I can figure it out.” Kelsier explained, his sharp eyes fixed on the spot where his brain knew the animal lay. He trusted Maladict’s word on this, since the other blinker so clearly had better senses than he did and could probably smell whatever it was. That and it certainly did feel like an animal when he’d tripped over it. “I just not so confident...” He narrowed his eyes and reached out a hand, then burned iron to pull anything made of metal towards him. “...that this specifically is going to do anything, because I don’t know what we’re dealing with.” (When I wanna RP but need to sleep ... ) Nothing happened. Maladict looked at the place that Kelsier seemed to be focusing on, heart still, and tensed while he waited to see what would transpire. When nothing occurred after several heartbeats, Maladict looked out of the corner of his eyes at the other blinker. Slowly, his shoulders untensed. "Maybe we should just try and approaching again?" he asked, hesitantly licking his lips. He felt like this should be Kelsier's call, since Maladict was pretty confident he could look after himself. It was worrying about the mistborn that concerned him.

Rachel was disturbed and looked past Ougi to try and see if the odd person was just blocking the view to the outside. But instead there were just the hallway, as far as the eye could see, and doors lining both edges. There weren't even any windows. Instead, Rachel just saw doors. How did she get out? Fine ... she'd just open all the doors along the line. Sooner or later, she'd have to find what she wanted. Everything else Ougi had said she'd ignore. She pushed past the other blinker and headed for the first door on the right, hand reaching for the door handle. But she was only just out from under the doorway of the living room when a pale of water dropped, as if by magic, over her head. Spluttering and hearing a ringing in her ears, Rachel pulled it off her sopping hair, looking a cross between furious and upset. "W-w-what?"

He'd seen a couple odd outfits, but it seemed easier to question this blinker than, say, that girl who had yelled at him. He shook his head at Sherlock's question and then held up his hand, all his fingers splayed. "Closer to this." He wasn't actually keeping track, but he'd been here a lot already. At least ten times, though he wasn't sure how else. This didn't mean he was used to the fact that everything was a lot more different here than it was in his world. Everything from Sherlock's hair to his shoes. He was too fancy. "What are you anyway?" he asked. "Can you shoot lightning from your eyes or something?" He probably cool. Those eyes look like they'd be good for glaring.

“There’s no way to confirm or deny that,” Ougi admitted, shrugging her shoulders and lifting both hands in mock-helplessness. Her sleeves dangled in front of her and her face sat between them, peering through this opening at Rachel. She was more than willing to accompany her into a room, but it seemed like the Paradox House had other plans. “Oops!” she exclaimed when the pail of water sabotaged the escape. The student shouted it as if it were her who had dropped the pail. She picked it up after it clattered to the floor and swung it by the handle cheerfully. Apparently, she wasn’t worried about the traps. If anything she found them fun, perhaps even hoping she would fall into one. “Sorry about that. Why don’t you try again?” She pointed with the hand that held the pail, letting it swing around as she implored Rachel to try going through the doorway again. “Or if you’re afraid, you can stay here.” Plenty of people do.

It might just as well be easy to consider Ougi the culprit of the pranks, so instead of rising to the challenge, Rachel was the one who motioned to the door. "Please, after you." She didn't take the bait about being scared either. She wouldn't have cared if Ougi thought she was or not. Instead, she was curious to see if Ougi would actually go first. Never knew. Since she enjoyed all these 'jokes' so much, Rachel didn't see why she wouldn't. (Room ideas?)

He followed after Ononoki who clearly appeared motivated to keep going. She was an odd one at best. He observed the way she proceeded, just looking forward with a lack of interest towards the surroundings around her. On the other hand maybe she was just braver then he was giving her credit for? On the other hand, she interested him quite a bit. She reminded him of a few similar individuals from back home. On the other hand her clothing design, and hair color was something completely of off topic interest. He could see a few kiddos taking on that look if they were given a reference of Ononoki's design. For sure if I were to give the kiddos a reference. O-Oh shoot, letters of recommendation Somehow this completely unrelated thought, was a result of thinking what kind of reactions students would get from observing Ononoki head on. I'll have to get around to those tonight when I get back from well.... He looked around. Here... He looked up then straight past Ononoki, Where is here- He twitched in response, realizing that Ononoki was addressing him. "what else?" He raised a curious brow. "Human, and forced into an immortal hell hole." He replied, crossing his arms. He dug his head into a chest, closing his eyes as he proceeded following the doll like girl lacking emotions. After a brief pause he spoke up once again, "Let's say there was something else?" He spoke in a hypothetical tone. "To what benefit is there in knowing? Assuming their is something else beyond the question you ask. Besides, this discussion seems heavily one sided." He now tilted his head towards his left, a hand open palm resting against his cheek. "I know little about you, so doesn't it seem fair that we just keep things as is? It's like barging into a strangers house and demanding for their deepest darkest secrets, or demanding to know every inch about that person." He observed.

Ougi gave a visible frown and lifted her head, looking down her nose at Rachel. It seemed to be more out of focus than any negative emotion; she was interested in Rachel's thought process. In that moment it was almost like actually had access to the other blinker's thoughts, and was examining them closely. "Well, I guess I'll have to," she conceded and strolled out from behind her cover. She opened the door and entered casually, taking in her new surroundings. A salon? She stood there with her back to Rachel for another moment, looking down rows of seats into a reflective false window at the end. Was that...? The student slowly turned around to face the other blinker, revealing her new appearance. The walls were lined with mirrors, and now she could see herself reflected many times over in them. "...I always was curious about having a beard." One hand rose to Ougi's chin, stroking it thoughtfully. She indeed had a beard, and in an unexpected turn of events--or perhaps not so unexpected--it suited the student.

Ononoki remained expressionless the entire time Rowlin thought, and the entire time he spoke to her as well. She was too patient for what she appeared to be--a kid of her age. Even when she decided to reply, she meandered through the topics at hand. There was no issue with taking her sweet time. "You're very defensive about talking about that, Big Brother Row," she murmured in her monotone. Even the endearing title ended up lifeless coming from her mouth. The doll didn't so much as turn her head to look at him, but her eyes were so blank that it was like she was seeing him more anyway than what she was technically looking at. "You know about karma, right? When you feel that strongly about something, like keeping to yourself, that's when it strikes." Did she mean then, that if he didn't tell her, it would come out anyway in a worse way? Her talk of 'feeling' was juxtaposed with the appearance that she wasn't expressing anything at all. That is, she wasn't expressing anything outwardly. There was a tone hiding in her voice, coming out in her use of words rather than her articulation, that said she really did have an opinion. After all, she was straying a little from the logical with her argument. It sounded more like she just wanted him to tell her because she was interested. "I'm in the business of oddities. If you tell me, then I might be able to help more people. I might be able to help you, too." Ononoki's steps continued at a near-perfect pace, her yellow galoshes keeping a set distance from each other as they moved. It was less akin to someone concentrating on it, and more akin to an action figure that only had so much range of motion. She lowered her shoulders faintly as if the thoughts in her head were adding weight to them. "I am a corpse. An animated one, at least. I guess you could call me a research project."

(Biggest of moods )) “Well, whatever it is, it isn’t metal.” Kelsier announced, dropping his hand to his side. He didn’t technically need to reach for the object he was attempting to Pull or Push, but personally he liked to, it made things seem a little bit more dramatic. He glanced at Maladict as the vampire spoke and paused, one eyebrow quirked up as he considered the other blinker. He could handle whatever this was, he had no doubt about that. But Maladict sounded hesitant. Was he less confident than the mistborn in his own prowess, perhaps? ”Why not? We’ve already done our very best to annoy this thing anyway.” He replied at last, his eyes moving back to the center of the clearing as he entered it again, walking directly towards the spot his rock had bounced oddly. Chances were good that they couldn’t avoid it anyway, so why beat around the bush? Kelsier stopped, the toes of his boots resting inches from the spot that looked identical to its surroundings. He looked back at Maladict, and a mischievous grin tugged at the edges of his thin lips and sparked in his hazel eyes. “I wonder what would happen if I touched it?”

Rachel walked through the door, hands fists at her side. She wasn't sure if she should be following the student because it was pretty clear they weren't exactly normal. Stepping into a room that was clearly not an exit, Rachel was about to turn back only to find the door had closed behind her ... and when she opened it again she was faced with a closet full of cleaning supplies. "How?" she gaped. The movement of her mouth felt weird and she flinched, rubbing at her chin. Her eyes widened and she tried to pull at the newly grown hair there. It hurt. "What in the world? What is this place?" It sounded like she'd finally faced the fact that this place wasn't exactly normal.

Ougi smirked to herself at the sight of Rachel with a beard, clearly getting amusement out of this but not informing her with anything but a change of expression. Her satisfaction was amplified by the newcomer realizing that this place was the real deal. "If you were still having trouble believing what I said..." She gestured around the room in front of her with both hands in a shrug-like motion, her face smug. The situation spoke for itself. "Speaking of things I said. Or should it be things you won't believe?--Even when we find the way out of here, it won't lead you home. It decides when to send you back. All we can do is find the exit back to where we came from." The student went back to stroking her beard in thought, as if there had never been a time when she didn't have a beard. She strolled up and down the aisle of chairs and approached one of the counters. There were the typical salon tools strewn about the place, so it wasn't difficult to find an electric trimmer. She picked it up and switched it on, looking dangerous. Even without a direct blade, Ougi was an accident waiting to happen.

"It?" questioned Rachel, hyper-fixating on the word as she turned to look at Ougi. She frowned a bit at the change of appearance in the other blinker, which made it really obvious that things weren't usual. But at least they were following a pattern. Ougi had a beard too. Did that mean this place had some sort of rules or was everything just being randomly thrown in to mess with her? "What's the point then?" she couldn't help snapping a bit. Her usual calm was broken up by her uncertainty of where this situation would go. She was worried. How was Ougi so calm? Other than the fact she was clearly insane. Maybe insane people just found every situation easy to deal with. Rachel's eyebrow just arched when Ougi took the electric trimmer. An obvious reaction would follow ... if Ougi ever did anything obvious.

Ougi eyed Rachel with a smirk, as if reading her thoughts. "I see this room shows us how we think of ourselves," she deduced, even though that wasn't it at all. It was just... beards. The snapping didn't faze the student at all; she was more of a passive-aggressive type than one to react immediately or even flinch. She was the opposite of Rachel, seemingly not worried at all about what might happen. "Well, what do you think we should do now?" She started approaching Rachel with the electric trimmer, buzzing it threateningly. She didn't seem to be going for the beard in particular, which made it even more ominous. "This is like when you have someone for a sleepover. You have to be courteous and let them decide which movie to watch." In this situation, Rachel was the guest. As if Ougi had ever had a sleepover in her life, anyway.

"Oh really," said Rachel, still feeling like talking was way weirder than it should be. "I suppose you can tell who you really are now? Why not tell me because I have no clue." She tapped her foot against the floor before looking over at a mirror. Yes. That was weird. Like she wasn't looking at herself. She looked at the trimmer, eyebrow arching. She didn't move. Ougi might be trying to be threatening, but Rachel wasn't impressed. "I doubt you've ever had a sleepover," Rachel pointed out, hitting the mark of doubt square in the bull's eye. "As for what to do, I have no clue. You're the one with the electric razor. Why not use it?" If Ougi was bluffing, than Rachel knew she'd just called it out in some fashion.

Ougi's mouth flatlined when Rachel accused her of never having had a sleepover. "I've had parties before," she claimed. Already downgrading to just 'party' now, though it seemed unlikely she had ever done that much. Even on the rare occasion that she was invited, she rarely went to events with other people anyway. The closest quarters she was willing to be with groups of people was at school. "I will use it. Just come closer." Ougi approached Rachel and reached for her face, buzzing all the way. She was putting the razor threateningly close to the other girl's hair that actually came down from the top of her head. "I think I'll keep mine a little longer. Don't you think it looks good?" At this distance, there was plenty of opportunity to agree or deny. Weirdly enough, it was something she seemed quite proud of; it sure would be a shame to deny her some praise.

Rachel "Parties and sleepovers are two different things," Rachel pointed out, but she waved a hand in dismissal. "Doesn't matter. That was even what I was talking about." She watched Ougi, clearly appearing doubtful the other blinker would actually do anything. Well, no, she wasn't, but Ougi seemed to think that Rachel's hair mattered to her on some level and it didn't. Rachel's other eyebrow arched. "Yes. Whatever you say. But I don't exactly intend to bend down and let you shave me bald. I highly doubt that would cause a key to magically appear to let us out of this situation. If you know so much about rooms, why are you relying on me to get you out of one we just walked into. That's idiotic. There has to be some point to entering one instead of just to get out of it again!" Her foot tapped impotently against the tile floor. She wasn't even looking at the razor. -- Mini Myrnin "Why can't you just be more like your sisters! At least they're quiet!" snapped his mother. Myrnin couldn't say anything. He knew if he did it would just induce a slap. If he was silent it might cause one too ... The young boy blinked in, tears (clear and like any other humans) budding at the corners of his eyes. He was holding a small tree branch close to his chest and he'd seemed to have carved a smile somewhere near the top of it and designed some leafy dress for it. Partly, he was hiding it, and partly using it for comfort. He did not notice the addition of a small, rather ratty looking beard to his small face, but he did notice when his bare feet now had cold tiles under them. He yelped in surprise and scrambled back a couple feet, bonking his head into one of the chairs.

Enjolras blinked into the House, appearing in a room that appeared to be like a barber shop- ah, and there was Ougi brandishing a weapon- and... did she have a beard? He took a step back from her and the other blinker, and caught sight of his own reflection in one of the multiple mirrors. Oh god. He had a beard- a goatee paired with a mustache that curled up at the tips. The way that the House varied wildly between terrifying mind games, pleasant otherworldly experiences, and straight up bizarre scenarios was something that he would never understand. He brought a hand up, running it over his jaw curiously. Yep, definitely weird. He looked in the mirror again. He had a rather young face and the facial hair looked just off on him. How convient of the House to provide them with razors, he thought wryly as he took in the setting that the House had placed them in.

Ougi clicked the razor off. She crossed her arms at Rachel, the extra fabric of her sleeves flopping down. She shrugged, not out of dismissal, but something else. Boredom? Frustrating Rachel was less interesting than frustrating other people. She didn't seem to want to suggest things, much less be creative about her suggestions. "Hmm... I wonder if you would be able to escape this place." She wasn't referring to the room, but the Paradox House itself. Luckily, the 'other people' showed up rather quickly, in the form of Myrnin and Enjolras. She wasn't about to berate a little boy, much less a crying one, so she aimed the razor at Enjolras. "You there! We have someone new," she announced to him, referring to Rachel. Based on the way they stood before these new blinkers arrived, they were having some kind of bearded face-off. Then again, any encounter with Ougi could be considered a face-off. "...Someone who has decided they don't like fun!" Accusatory as always. She clicked the razor back on just for the whirring effect, but didn't come quite close enough to graze Enjolras with it.
