{I'm good! How about you ? }
Hyacin placed his hands behind his head, "Oh sure, we're not the only ones! That would be lonely..." He wished he had some gum right now, something to keep him stimulated. "I dunno how many people come here, I've only met a few." Speaking of other blinkers, his eyes glanced to someone who suddenly appeared not too far from them. Flicking the tip of his tail, he continued, "Oh sure! The last time I was here, I went into a room with a kid around your age." He then realised he forgot to tell her about the rooms. "By the way, if you find yourself in the living room, you'll see a hallway there. Tons of doors, it just goes on and on and on and on and on... Don't enter any of those doors by yourself, alright?"

As Jax looked around the other members, his gaze came upon a small girl with roughly the same skin-tone as himself. His eyes widened and he took a double take, his features relaxing into shock. When he realized that he didn't actually know the girl, his featured hardened again, a flash if disappointment crossing his eyes as he offered a reluctant wave back. "Hey," he grunted, taking his eyes off of her. With that, his eyes met with the other male with the girl, taking in the sight of him. He looked weird. Jax wrinkled his nose at the sight, his eyes trailing back to the girl. The resemblance was similar, but it was more the age. She may have been a year or two young, but... Jax realized he was staring and looked away again, to the floor this time.

Winter Lodge - Arlo, Kid, & Eli : --cato phoenix mintedstar/furEli really wanted to give Kid a retorical look, it was as if he answered his own question. I could have sworn I said gentlemen detective? If he is explaining the other to be otherwise, then that doesn't leave many options? He continued placing ornaments on the tree with a soft smile. "The gentlemen detective, Sherlock." He softly replied, "A present chap, with a good talk." After his handful of ornaments were on the tree, he looked back at one of the few boxes. It was half full, indicating it was lighter then before. He decided to pick up the half empty box, then resume to tree decorating. The two had started to indulge one another about other rooms, a concept unfamiliar for the time being, but similar to other experiences, thanks to Detective Sherlock's explanation. From where he was at eye length, the tree had been set, but now there was a bit up top that needed some decorations. He silently levitated slightly off the ground, to continue placing decorations a bit out of his reach. He continued to listen to the other two conversing in the background, with his own attention still focused on the tree.

Hyacin gave a smile, remembering Atreus. "I'm sure you two aren't the only ones your age here, maybe you'll get to meet some in the future!" Seeing the other blinker scrunch his nose, his smile turned into a frown and he blew smoke out of his nose. He hated it when people gave him weird looks. "Mmm, it's 'cause you never know what's in them! Sometimes they can get dangerous, and it can be too much for one person to handle, you know?" He raised a brow when Clementine looked away from the other blinker, noticing the movement in her hands. Not quite understanding what was going on with either of the two, the dragon turned to him, "Oi, don't just stand there. We won't bite." He glanced at Clementine at the mention of bite with a grin.

To be fair to Clementine, Jax only looked happy when he was talking the Crutchie. His gaze shot back to the dragon boy when he spoke up, clearly directing it toward him. He didn't look too amused, but also not put off, by the words. He just wasn't a people person unless he wanted to be, which meant he just wasn't a people person. Nonetheless, Jax stepped forward, ice cold air radiating off of him as he did so. I frost bite. The ice mage thought to himself, but it sounded stupid in his head, so he refused to say it out loud. "What's up?" The fourteen year old asked, looking between the two of them. "Merry Christmas, or whatever."

"Hey, you feel cold like my mom!" Hyacin's tail started to wag a little when he felt the sudden colder air, "Like an air conditioner! Are you an ice elemental too?" This would be the first time he's met someone in the house that also used magic. The thought of it made him a little excited. "Marry Chris-miss?" He furrowed his eyebrows at the foreign phrase, "What does that mean? Is Chris your fiancee?" That was an odd way of saying he's going to marry someone, and an odd way to start a conversation with people he didn't know. What a weird guy.

"Well, yeah, it's August in my world. But it's probably Christmas somewhere if the House is like this." He gestured around. Time did, in fact, work differently. Jax watched as the girl fidgeted, and wondered if it was due to the cold air that he was literally giving off. He took a deep breath though his nose and pulled the icey air closer into him so it wouldn't affect her. Though, that meant the heat of the lodge got to him a little bit more, and he hated that. She was lucky she reminded him of her... His attention shot back to the dragon boy. "Ice Descendant is what we call me in my world." He responded. The biracial teen quirked an eyebrow as the kid asked his question. So, Christmas wasn't a think in his world. "No, it's a holiday greeting. Christmas is a holiday on the 25th of December. It's super pagan, but Christian kind of took it over. It was a whole thing. Anyway, it's supposed to be the birth of Jesus Christ. It's not actually. Don't ask." Jax merely shrugged.

"Mom uses ice too! Maybe you can meet her whenever she blinks in again. What else can you do with it?" Hyacin missed the feeling of the cold air that she always emitted. Hopefully it wasn't long now until he was able to return from his mission and see her again. The air this kid gave off made him feel a little more comfortable. "I don't know what pay-gan or christian or Jesus is but okay!" Clearly it was a different world thing. The only celebrations in Elisia that happened in December were the winter solstice festivals, and of course, New Years Eve.

winter lodge -- kid, arlo, eli -- Auransky --cato phoenix "I see," said Kid, looking over at Arlo's notebook at taking in what she had said about this forest. Blinkers had been frozen. And the books ... things written in the books actually went somewhere? "I wasn't there for it, no. Or heard any of it." But now he had, or at least most of it. He frowned a bit at the tree again. "I wasn't sure as your definition of gentlemen," Kid explained, not looking at Elliot when he answered the unspoken question. "You come from a different world." He waved at Elliot's clothing. "It looks a bit like you're from Earth, but that still doesn't mean much. Just like -" he pointed upward at the decorations around the room "-these might not be considered Christmas decorations in another world." So the definition of 'gentlemen' might have varied as well. It looked like the tree had been fulled as best as it could on the lower levels. "There's a tree topper around here somewhere," Kid said to all of them. "So since you seem to be able to float, you could put it on?"

"Jacks." Hyacin echoed. "I'm Hyacindiemo." His wings stretched just a little, they were starting to feel a little cramped. He couldn't stretch them out all the way or else they'll probably get in Clementine's way. He had to uncomfortably keep them folded in. He had to bite his tongue hard to not retort to Jax' joke, but his face did harden quite a bit. It didn't matter how old the person was, he despised any sort of comment like that about his mother. Deciding to push the thoughts away, he instead focused on the magic show Jax was about to show them. "Mom can make ice blades and spears and stuff when she fights, can you do any of that too?" He smiled at Clementine's suggestion, that sounded like a fun idea.

Hyacin smiled, "Cool." With him, the pun was fully intentional. He jumped to his feet, surprisingly not slipping to the floor, and stood still. "I'm a little used to walking on ice, you kind of have to know if you're going to fight alongside my mom." He wasn't perfect at it though, a lot of the time he had to rely on his wings to prevent him from falling onto his face. Noticing Clementine's hesitating, he stretched out his tail towards her so she can grab. "Hy sounds weird, call me Hyac or Hyacin."

Jax rolled his eyes at the two puns, making the ice the ice blade break into tiny pieces and fall to the ground in a snow-like dust. Jax had no issue on the ice, he'd basically been raised on it after all. "Hyacin, got it." The teen gave a nod. Though, it wasn't like it mattered too much, since he was going to refer to him most of the time as 'kid' anyway.
Jax shoved his hands back into his pockets as the other two seemed to want to skate around a bit on the ice. So, instead, the fourteen year old sat down on the couch to watch. He was fine with showing off his powers, as he so rarely got to, but there wasn't anything fun with showing off his ability to walk on ice.

"O-Oh." Eises simply replied, not knowing how to respond properly. She wondered how a box could store memories and personalities, but it was clearly a type of magic that didn't exist in her world. She decided not to think about it too hard, the wolf wasn't in the mood for a headache. If Evina were here, she'd be all over it probably. "I dunno how technology can create a conscious though..." After all, people have had those since the beginning, way before electronics were a thing. "Maybe it's the magic in your world." So once again, Eises decided not to think about it further. This was a pretty good topic to bring up to Evina whenever she returned, the demitheian may not be able to to understand most of the talk that would happen, but she enjoyed listening to her friend regardless. "Human?" She tilted her head for a few seconds, "Oh right." It took her a few moments to remember what those were. They didn't exist in Theia after all, her only experience with them was here in the House. Her eye widened when the android bowed, "Woah woah, you don't gotta bow! I'm not anyone special." In Elisia, bowing was a way of greeting and dismissing one self to someone of higher status, a status that Eises definitely didn't have. "Sevens isn't so cheesy, I like it. You can call me Eises!" "Nah. I'm pretty sure humanity was in the process of developing AIs before Magic was created." 7S replied, dismissing the hologram and straightening back up. Boy was that a looong time ago, a good 9000 plus years at that. Most of that stuff had been long forgotten by the common Androids, but 7S had made it an ongoing side mission of hers to learn as much as she could about the old world as possible. "Huh?" Eises reaction to her gesture caused the S type to tilt her head slightly. "You don't exactly see humans running around where I come from, let alone human-animal hybrids. So I'd say that makes you special from my point of view." She gave Eises a friendly smile. "Eises..." 7S repeated, the name drawing an old record into her mind. "There was an old god the humans of Egypt used to worship with a very similar name."

Bemused as ever the wildclaw awaited for the other blinker's response merely shrugging in response at the option taken. Preferably she wouldn't have had Vanessa go against a whole herd capable of flight. Yet more often than not those who were singled out by the house could hold their ground in the most unlikely of odds. "Have at it then." Salsa snorted with a toothy grin, a wisp of frost came from her flaring nostrils. The distraction was working marvellously or rather it came along decently as she padded down the less snow covered parts of the land. She gave a good guess the reindeer weren't so dense as their winter hides when it came to their surroundings given they made it so far with their modest group. She took flight into the air and began circling around the peculiar herd cautiously with her trusty net in hand all the while keep an eye on the narcoblix. Vanessa did her best not to watch the wildclaw taking flight. But truthfully, how could she not? Dragons were not exactly social creatures in her world. In fact, she had only ever been on a dragon preserve once, and only for a brief time. Another sanctuary had wyverns, but they were slightly different - thought perhaps closer in appearance to Salsa as any other dragons she knew of. She shouldn't have underestimated the reindeer. The problem was, she hadn't thought they were worth the time at all. Herbivores which liked to stay in cold climates. She hadn't been in the House long enough not to take what she knew in her world didn't always apply here. The deer started to move toward the narcoblix with surprising speed. Vanessa looked back at them sharply, eyes narrowing. Not good. So, she did a logical thing. She ran. A vast pool of colorful words would have been fit for the wildclaw to shriek into the cloudless sky. This time she watched under her pale, white gaze as the reindeer had made their choice clear and one they would soon to choose to regret in the foreseeable future. To the narcoblix she tilted her chin motioning towards one of the snow coveres trees as she pulled herself closer towards the herd. The herd themselves were somewhat quick to catch on leading chase towards Vanesa with a surprising bloodlust for your average hoofed beast. So much for an easy room.... "Over here chompers! Some good ol' grass waiting to be eaten!" Salsa bellowed furiously stunning a good chunk of the herd in their places, others veered off in all other direction exposing a particular reindeer with a shaking fawn with a bright red nose quivering by its side. Bingo!
