Spyro glanced down at Mattie. "Yes he is. You will like him he is a lot like Harlequin." He cupped his hands to his mouth and bellowed, "Valentine!" At his name the white haired figure looked up and regarded the pair in front of him. His eyes were periwinkle blue and his pale pink lips curved upwards, flashing his pearly whites in a large grin. "Spyro hello! It's been a while my friend." Milo glanced down at the child behind his friend. "And who is this?" "Ah meet my good friend Mattie-Fangling." Spyro introduced. Milo held out a hand. "I'm Melanthios Valentine, well met." (Alright, great!) Matteo took a step away from Spyro and stared at him for a second. "It's..." He took Milo's hand and gave it a shake, smiling. "Nice to meet you, too!" He exclaimed. "And my name is actually Matt. That's a nickname he gave me."

Milo gave a hearty chuckle. "Yes that's a nickname he gives every young'un that catches his fancy." He leaned over to whisper in the boy's ear. "He tries to act old and cantankerous but he is actually a big softie."

Matteo blinked, looking away and to Spyro as Milo whispered in his ear. He giggled softly, nodding. "I think I know that by now," he muttered. "Hey, is this the Circus Mister Lee told me about?"

Milo smiled. "Mr. Lee? Do you mean Leonel?" Spyridon touched his friends shoulder, "This little one only knows him as Harlequin. Actually he just goes by that name nowadays." "Ah." Milo nodded, "It has been a while then. Come here child." Milo gestured for Mattie to follow him and walked towards the center of the Circus grounds. In a large circle of stones stood a tall, marble statue of a clown with a familiar cheshire grin. A plaque at the base read Leonel Rose. Just a name and nothing else. "Here we are." Milo said with a grin. "To answer your question, this is the Circus. it is also Not the Circus."

Matt stared after him a moment before deciding to follow. He glanced back at Spyro, hoping he would follow and not leave him with this new guy. The boy then stopped in front of the statue and looked up, grinning. "Woah!" He breathed. "W-wait, what?" Matteo shook his head, now staring at Milo. "This is, but isn't the Circus? What do you mean?"

"Ah! Well, the thing is this is a protected world. A protected Universe really. You can observe the World and all in it but most of it stays concealed. If you wish to know more perhaps you should ask Harlequin." Milo answered. Spyridon pressed his lips together in thought. "Although we got here through a Room in the Paradox House it doesn't seem as though even it can break through the Power of Our Lady." He said softly. Spyro glanced down at Mattie. "I'm sorry you weren't able to see much." He added, "I was hoping they might give you a personal show. I do wonder though, if this is as far as we can go in the House."

Matteo blinked in thought, tilting his head to one side. "So this is it?" He muttered with as sigh, shaking his head before looking back at Spyro. "Don't worry about it! It was fun just seeing this world! I'll ask Mister Lee all about it the next time I see him; he'll be really confused."

Spyro glanced at the downcast face of the little boy. "My apologies Mattie-Fangling. I didn't realize this was going to happen." There was a deep frown on the vampire's face and he looked away. Milo glanced swiftly to the side as a flash caught his eye on the corner of his vision. "This could potentially become a lot more interesting." He muttered.

"Don't apologize! Neither of us knew what was behind the door," Matt pointed out, then looked down and away. "Hm?" He mumbled, tilting his head up at Milo. "H-how so?"

"Ah! Just an old man's rambling!" Milo grinned. "You should probably go.." He trailed off and gave Spyro a meaningful look. "Things could get out of hand." "Well I would but uh...I've actually never been in the Room of the Paradox House before so I don't know how." Spyro admitted sheepishly. Milo stared at him agape. "Well then. This could be fun. Our Lady has already perceived this 'Paradox House' and she is coming to investigate." "Oh dear." Spyro replied.

Matteo let out a gasp, looking up at Spyro. "Y-you've never been inside a room before? Well...you could have at least told me that before we even entered," he muttered, then shook his head. "Sorry, no, I didn't even ask..." The boy looked between the two as he began thinking. "Well it's not always a door we need to escape from. It can be about anything."
(lol oh my. What are you writing about?)

(Ah mostly Fanfiction. I think I'm going to continue on my own story (Harlequin and Spyro's world)for a little while though. I end up going back and forth sometimes.)
Spyro sighed. "Then that makes it a lot more complicated than I thought."

(That'd be cool :3 Are these characters your oc's or are they actually from something?)
Matteo nodded with a sigh. "Oh well, looks like we better get working," he muttered, looking up at Spyro. "I guess we can wander around until something happens."

(OC's)
A long, thin line of white manifested close to the three and it turned like the hand of a clock until there was a brilliant white circle. Then the circle disappeared and Harlequin stood tall in its place. Just in front of him was a girl, half the size of little Mattie, with platinum white hair drawn in pigtails and tied with scarlet ribbons from which small, golden bells hung. Her face was heart-shaped with delicate features and skin that looked so white as to lack any sort of pigment whatsoever. Her eyes were large and round, colored blue and black and purple and flecked with silver as though galaxies swirled inside. The girl wore a Victorian-Era styled dress, black with many layers, a corset torso topped with a red rose and ribbon, black tights and the era's button up black boots. Black silk gloves adorned her hands which held a lace umbrella. "Well hello." She greeted Spyro, Mattie and Milo in a small, chiming voice. Her gaze fell on the boy. "And who is this?" "Milady." Spyro and Milo bowed at the waist towards the girl. "Mattie." Harlequin said and bent towards the boy with a more muted version of his usual grin.

(Ah Wow you must be really creative, then. My oc is terrible xD)
Matteo blinked, staring at the little girl before looking over at the other two beside him. He was now confused. Was this actually the ruler Milo was speaking about? He quickly copied the same bow the other two did before straightening up. "A-ah hello there," he muttered, flashing her a smile. His attention was now on Harlequin. He was also a little concerned. We're these people actually real or were they just fake for the purpose of the room. "Lee, hello to you, too! It's good to see you again!"

(Is your Oc Matteo? If so I actually find him particularly endearing.)
Harlequin didn't reply but retreated from Mattie a bit to give a nod to Spyro and Milo. "How have you been Leonel?" Milo asked the Clown. "Excellent." He murmured softly with a glance at the girl. "Good good." Harlequin glanced at Mattie again with sharp golden eyes. Spyro placed a hand on the boy's shoulder and drew him behind. The Vampire and Clown exchanged a loaded glance. "So, what is this Paradox House I have heard so much about?" The young girl spoke and the three men turned their attention to her. "Ah. It is a long story Lady Sylvia." Spyro said.

(No he's from a book xD)
Matteo shivered slightly as Harlequin stared at him. He was little relieved when Spyro pulled him away. He could already tell this was probably not the Harlequin he knew. He nodded at what Spyro said. "Y-yes...I agree with him. It's a house where people from different places appear in," he explained bluntly, not sure if he should any details about it. Without thinking, the little boy reached over and grabbed Spyro's hand. "A-and this is a room of the House..."

(:])
Sylvia frowned and tilted her head towards Harlequin. "Yes." He murmured, "That is what I thought during my first time." Spyridon started slightly at Mattie's touch and peered down at the boy as if he had never seen such a person before. He glanced over at Harlequin who appeared slightly stone-faced and would only send the boy the occasional intense glance. Spyro sighed and turned back towards Lady Sylvia who had begun to regard Mattie with curious eyes.

(I'm dragging out his childhood a ton though :3)
Matteo frowned and began backing away the tiniest but, not letting go of his hand. "C-can we go? Please?" He whispered, not even sure if he was loud enough for Spyro to hear. "An exit probably isn't too far from here.

(Lol. I do that too with my fave characters)
Spyridon tilted his head at the boy. "If it will make you feel better Mattie-Fangling." Sylvia glanced upwards at Mattie. "Are you nervous friend?" She giggled. "Would you like some help back?"

Matt lowered his gaze. "A little...are you three," he pointed to Sylvia, Milo, and Harlequin each in turn as he continued, "even real?" He asked softly with a tilt of his head, looking at her. "Uh, sure? Do you actually know the way out?"

"We are very real." Sylvia smiled. "And yes, I can help you." She gestured to Harlequin who bowed deeply and flicked out a piece of parchment. On it was the drawing of a door. Harlequin reached towards Mattie with the paper but Spyro intercepted him and gently took the paper from his fingers. He blew on it softly and the ink swirled out and formed a physical door. "Shall we?" Spyro asked the boy with a small smile.

Matt took a step back, then stared at the door with a grin. "Woah, that actually worked? That's so cool!" He exclaimed, then quieted down some, nodding to the other three. "Thank you all! I guess this is goodbye for now." He waved, then looked up at Spyro a nod. He slowly opened the door and stepped through it.

"Stranger things have worked in this world." Spyro muttered and Sylvia winked at him. "Go on Spyro-Fangling." She teased and laughed heartily at his grimace. Spyro bowed and followed Mattie through the door.

"A bit unsettling." Spyridon admitted softly. "What you saw was only a small part of my world. And the most remote. How did you like Milo? And my Lady?"
