Sherlock glanced at Naegi, blue eyes flicking instantly to his shoulder and back. "Ah, you made it." He remarked, sounding as if he didn't really care. "Thought you would, it was only a shoulder wound, except Noctin pulled the dagger out. Stupid move, really." In all honesty, he was trying g to make up for the slight caring he had shown last time he was there. Can't have that, it might ruin his reputation.

"Yes, yes, I'm sure." Sherlock answered dismissively. "Still, it's basic medical knowledge. Everyone knows not to pull a knife out of a stab wound, or should." He shook his head irritably, not wanting to be in the House at the moment.

Sherlock looked unimpressed by Naegi's loyalty. "He nearly killed you because of his reckless emotions." He replied in an off-hand tone. "No, it probably wasn't his fault, but that doesn't matter. That's what caring gets you." He was speaking quite calmly, as if he believed every word. Which he at least thought he did. He glanced at the girl, tilting his head slightly. "No, nothing much."

"Caring is a human flaw, possessed by the weak." Sherlock returned to his conversation, answering the question gravely. "All forms of emotion are a mere distraction, of which I avoid." He narrowed his eyes slightly, looking curiously at Naegi. "For example, in Noctin hadn't lost control, he wouldn't have pulled the knife out. You pulling through was only possible because of that girl's powers."

"Not true." Sherlock seemed only excited about the other man's enthusiasm. "Parents would raise their children so the human race would not go extinct. As for friends, they wouldn't fall into depression in the first place without emotions, now would they?" He smirked, thoroughly enjoying himself now. "Any true problem can be solved by cold reason."

(heyo! dropping in)
Hinata blinked in as he was looking around the scenery of the island, one hand hooding his gaze. Irritated about the very drastic change in lighting, he heard people talking before he even saw them. The student caught Sherlock's cold tone as he addressed Naegi, and when his eyes finally adjusted, he could tell he was being harassed for whatever reason. ..He nearly died? Hinata was only catching bits and pieces, but what was that all about?
There was also a pink-haired girl who looked like she had just blinked in as well standing beside them, looking perturbed, and he felt a bit sorry for her.
Eventually, Hinata found himself making his way towards them, naturally gravitating to the conversation as his words became crueler. "Can you lay off?" He said loudly, directed towards the man, nettled by how impolite Sherlock behaved. The student crossed his arms. "Keep your rude opinions to yourself." He was trying to convince children on the fact that parents raised them out of no love whatsoever? What kind of person did that?

Madoka flinched at Sherlock's harsh comment. As someone's whose very nature was centered on caring, the man's opinion didn't sit well with her. She didn't know if it would be considered rude of her to speak up or not, after all this wasn't her conversation. But she was standing right there-- "Excuse me, I don't mean to impose, I don't even know what happened, but...I don't believe caring is a flaw at all. Without the ability to care the world would be a horrible, cruel place." Naegi seemed to be on the same page as her, as he said pretty much the rest of what she was thinking.
Madoka quickly shook her head at his apology. "No, it's okay," she said. Switching her bag to her other hand, she accepted Naegi's. "My name is Kaname Madoka. Um, average middle school student and magical girl," she added only after after Naegi introduced himself with a title.

Sherlock glanced at Hinata, not seeming at all phased by this remark. "We're in a the middle of a discussion, please either offer you're own opinion, along with an argument please, or keep quiet." He answered, completely tactless. Next he glanced at Madoka, smirking as it seemed everyone was shocked by the detective's conclusion. "But you reached the conclusion that it would be, ah..."horrible and cruel", on a purely emotional level, didn't you? It's a really obvious mistake, to claim to need emotions with an emotional argument." He smiled, somewhat creepily.

"But why would they care about keeping the human race alive? They wouldn't have the care in the first place--" Naegi flinched and stumbled back as Hinata suddenly bumped in on the conversation, almost falling back onto the couch. Sweat began to bead along his forehead at the harsh tone the other student used, already predicting that a possible fight was going to break out. "Hey, listen, it's okay...! We were just talking. No need to fight..." He hesitantly placed a hand on Hinata's shoulder, trying to catch his attention.
After he pulled his hand out of the handshake with Madoka, he sheepishly rubbed the back of his head. "Ah, I'm just an average guy myself... I only got into a prestigious school out of pure luck." At the mention of 'magical girl', he tilted his head slightly. "Magical girl...? Like... those anime shows?" Komaru was into those, right? Were... were they real in Madoka's world?

"The simple desire of self-preservation, as well as the desire to continue technological and scientific progress." Sherlock answered smoothly. There was very little danger of him getting into a fight, not unless he was hit first, so didn't really occur to him as a possibility. "It's certainly true that some wouldn't care, but then again there are also mothers who kill, or otherwise get rid of their children."
(Sherlock is making everyone hate him, xD. )

I don't think that's possible lol) Saru blinked at him and said nothing as she walked past him heading back to the living room. She paused at the corner and glanced at him. "I want to make everyone free. Perhaps the only way to freedom is this place." Her words were slightly cryptic but she didn't stay around to elaborate as she headed back to the main room, looking around to see if anyone was there. (Back from classes finally lol ) //slight time warp just ignore kthx Kurt just watched her walk away with somewhat of a confused expression. Then he just ran to look around the corner before teleporting to the doorway of the livingroom to catch up. "You're crazy." He laughed. "But good luck-" He paused as the sound of another debate reached his ears. "Oh no, not again! Pls no von bring out any knives."

Nore blinked into the living room wearing white shorts and a short-sleeved beach flamingo shirt. She had her sunglasses on over her blindfold as well, and was barefoot. The girl put her hands up in defense when she appeared, suddenly hearing so many voices. "What's going on??"

"Again, a purely emotional argument." Sherlock gave Madoka an impatient glance, shaking his head as if in weariness. "You wouldn't feel that way if you were not so prone to falling into emotional traps. Take me, for example, I'm quite satisfied with my life and I don't make the mistake of caring." He glanced at Nore cheerfully. "Just a rousing discussion on the importance of emotions, sentiment, that sort of thing. Care to add your opinion?" He noticed he sunglasses over the blindfold immediately, which seemed pointless, but less interesting than the current discussion.

"Emotions and sediment?" Nore rubbed the back of her neck when Sherlock acknowledged her, or at least she assumed that based on him speaking in her direction. "I don't know how much I'd add to the conversation..." She only vaguely remembered the other speaker's voice, not even recalling the girl's name. "I was kinda in the middle of something," she told them both. "Uhh... do you guys want some candy?" She shoved both hands into the pockets of her shorts and procured a stash of wrapped chocolates and gummies.

"You're literally bullying children," he stated bluntly. Before he could begin to argue even further with the man, Hinata felt Naegi's hand on his shoulder as he tried to calm him down. Startled, but no further angered by the touch, he glanced down at the other boy. (The first word he automatically used to describe him was.. tiny, but this was the last thing on his mind right now.)
He grit his teeth, sending another glare to Sherlock as he spoke, before looking back to Naegi. "At least try to get away from him," he muttered. "He thinks he's being 'educational' when he's just being obnoxious." This wasn't some calm discussion, it was a grown adult blatantly hounding kids. Surely both of them know better than to try to amuse him.

"I'M BLIND." Nore quickly pelted a single wrapped chocolate at Kurt and somehow managed to hit him in the head. Then she returned to her calm attitude.

"I agree, Madoka-san! You made a really good point." Naegi smiled reassuringly at the girl, trying to praise her so she didn't feel too bad about Sherlock's words. "You're a really kind person!" And it was better to be kind than to be rude to some kids. Glancing up at Hinata, he gave a small, unsure nod. "Um... Alright..."
Komaeda blinked in, the same big smile on his face. "--expect less from a Super High School Level Nurse!" He chimed, though wasn't surprised to see that the girl before him had been replaced by the eerie atmosphere of the house. It only took Hinata's voice for his interest to dart to the argument that seemed to almost break out. It seems like no one resorted to physical violence yet, and Hinata in particular seemed to be harrassed by a grown man. That just won't do.
Casually approaching Sherlock, his gaze flitted to his classmate, waving to him cheerfully. "Hey, Hinata-kun! It's nice to see you're making some friends!" As he spoke he lifted his foot, as if he were going to take another step. "Now..." He suddenly brought his foot smashing down onto Sherlock's own, aggressively grinding his heel in to do some extra damage. A sinister shadow casted over his eyes, and his smile became one of passive aggression. "...Could you please leave Hinata-kun alone?"

"Not bullying, debating." Sherlock corrected irritably, glancing again at Hinata. "I don't bully, never have, I'm just not afraid of the truth unlike most people." He narrowed his perceptive blue eyes, continuing after a pause. "You seem to be the only one who has a problem with it, have you noticed?" After this slightly confrontational observation, the consulting detective glanced at Kurt, looking annoyed at this see-through argument. "Oh, you can do better than that, that's just a word game." He returned. "Different sorts of caring. If you want to argue that I'm an emotional person because I care about the truth, be my guest. I know the difference." He turned again to Madoka, looking puzzled as she stepped away. "I think I have a right to the truth, which happens to be that sentiment is a flaw and a weakness." He let out a sudden help as his foot was stomped, blinking at Komaeda and hopping backwards. "Bloody...what was that for?" He asked, startled.
