Samuel | Viewing Room | @ everyone again XD literally have something for everyone The chaos which was the observation room only could affect Sam so much before he just gave up. He tried to make sense of it all, but other then being horrified over what was going on, everyone else seemed to be trying to work things out. After he assumed they'd died. How that had happened he wasn't sure either. He hadn't seen it happened. The man who was crying seemed poored over the camera which was focused on Nico. Sam couldn't help asking, "Are you Nico's dad?" Was he jealous? Maybe a little. That Nico still had a father to cry over seemed so ... odd. L had addressed him and Vyra though. Sam looked over at the woman with odd, pointed ears. They apparently had the same question but got an answer which neither one of them would like. Then just as quickly, Sam's attention was jerked back to Nico's screen as Nico started crying. Cold ice-water poured down Sam's spin and he moved forward without bidding, pressing himself beside Kelsier with a worry he hadn't expressed for someone in what felt like a while. Sam searched for some cause of distress, but for now saw none. So a death, probably. Maybe the man standing next to Sam. But Sam had his attention pressed to the screen, worry sparking off him. His eyes were fully red now, and out of the corner of his eye, at another screen, he thought he saw the odd, older man's face warp a bit. Teeth? Sam's head jerked, trying to catch the fleeting instance, only to see a normal, rather shabby looking guy. Then he looked down at Victoria, up at Eddie, and said in incredulity to Eddie, "Because she died. Died. Like, actually died. That isn't something you just ... come ... back ... from." He trailed off, then hurriedly turned back to look at Nico's screen, his hands pressed to his elbows. He tried not to cry. "I don't see how!" he snapped at Victoria. "How are things going to be okay?" Orpheus' music was a faint tone in the back of his head. When he'd looked back, he'd seen the musician again. It was only now that the notes caught up and Sam's breath hitched once, and then he slowly started to breath again. He managed to hold the tears in, listening to the music, still furiously glaring at the screen while slowly calming down bit by bit. It ... had to be okay ... right? He glanced at Vyra, who seemed focused on one of the screens which also included The Doctor. "Are they okay?" Sam asked.

Gin | Arena pt. 2 | mintedstar/fur Razzle Dazzle --cato phoenix |Gin, however, didn't lower his sword. "You might know her, but this is an extreme situation," he said, paranoia clawing at the back of his mind like a parasite. In his mind's eye, he could see Arlo coming into the group, using familiarity as a shield, and then slitting their throats for their gear the second they had their guard down. He kept his gaze fixed firmly on Arlo, eyes cold and firm as he stood, choosing his words carefully. "How sure are you that you can vouch for her? If it came down to her life or yours, do you know she'd pick yours?"

"Well," said The Doctor, voice suddenly stiff as she answered Gin, "it hasn't come to that, has it?" She glanced at Arlo, hoping she would speak up, but then looked back at Gin again. She assumed that he was worried, but she didn't like how distrustful he was. "Ya can make a shelter?" she asked Ononoki instead, looking down at the girl. The Doctor raised an eyebrow, but not in disbelief. Instead, it was in expectation. "Arlo is helpful," she murmured to Gin, even though she was still looking down at Ononoki. "I will vouch for her." You'll regret it, hissed a voice in her head. But she wasn't sure if it meant Arlo or Gin.

Ononoki - Arena, in the forest - The Doctor, Gin, Arlo
Ononoki nodded slowly to The Doctor, as if body language of any kind was very taxing on her. The two in front of her were growing more bitter toward each other by the moment, she noticed, which was not a good way to work together. It would be best to stop them now. So she decided to display her "shelter-making" capabilities, by turning toward a nearby tree and raising one hand.
"Unlimited Rulebook," she murmured softly, seemingly to herself, "...I said with a posed look." Her hand was beginning to glow, and reaching forward for a strike. Then came the enormous BANG of an explosion. In an instant, there was a dome of dust and splinters, and the bottom quarter of the tree was completely demolished. This left the top three-quarters to crash down toward the ground with a great noise, its branches snapping this way and that against the limbs of the trees around it but its enormous trunk landing right where The Doctor and Gin were standing. In fact, the final position of the center of its trunk was nearly a perfect shot: directly between the two blinkers, probably right where Gin's sword had been. The trunk had not been meant to hit them, and even the branches were--unintentionally, don't give Ononoki too much credit--placed well enough as to not hit anyone over the head, but it was worth a terrible fright.
The doll girl ended up on Gin's side of the fallen tree, leaving The Doctor and Arlo on the other. With the dust still settling she pointed now, with her normal hand, to the space between the tree trunk and the ground. It was indeed a space, like a tent with walls formed by snapped branches. "...Shelter," she told The Doctor in monotone.

Hunger Games Room | Kelsier Kelsier was a man who believed he was a hero. Who believed he could save people, who more importantly believed that people deserved to be saved. Kelsier was not a humble man by any definition of the word, and no one had ever said he needed to learn more self confidence. Aside from now. Now, he knew that he didn’t deserve this, not from Nico. He’d killed the boy, for nothing at all. He’d fought to continue hating him even after he’d come back. And when Nico needed him, needed him for support as each of his friends were killed… Kelsier couldn’t get to him. He felt helpless, and he hated it, and he wanted to tell Orpheus that he was wrong. That Nico knew how Kelsier’s world saw him, but that didn’t matter, because he also knew who Kelsier really was. A selfish man. A killer. Kelsier shook his head. “I hurt him.” He admitted quietly. Something about the music, or maybe about Orpheus himself, made him want to tell the man everything. He wanted to explain, he wanted someone to understand just how cruel the House was being in this moment. But he couldn’t explain, because he didn’t completely understand it himself. He gazed at Orpheus, then his hazel eyes moved back to the screen, and rested there, pain simmering deep inside of them. He was rescued (sort of) by Sam’s approach, and he looked at the boy, surprise flickering over his hawk-like features like a cloud on a hot day. He shook his head quickly, but a small smile raised the edges of his mouth, softening his whole face. “No, I’m not. I’m just his friend. Just like you.” Because the boy was clearly close to Nico, front the pain in his expression and the - Oh. His eyes were red. Kelsier tensed, startled, but he didn’t react otherwise. It could have simply been powers affecting his appearance, after all, and Kelsier realized there were many more powers than simple Mistings and Mistborns. He let the boy push him aside to get to the screen without protest, looking back at Orpheus as the other man spoke. “I’ll see him again.” He repeated, and there was an edge to something in his tone this time. Something just a little bit dark. “And I’m going to make the House pay for this. Watch me.” Hunger Games Room | L The reason L didn’t approach Orpheus was that the man appeared to have his hands full with the crying man and the rest of the distraught viewers. The reason he hung back was that he didn’t know what he could do here, he had no power to stop this, or to ease anyone’s pain. The crowd was also starting to weigh on him, a buzz in the back of his head that wouldn’t go away. There was a reason he was alone so much in his own world, after all. And it wasn’t for lack of trying on certain other people’s parts. The reason was that he didn’t do well in crowds. He was too awkward, and people were too confusing. They never said what they meant, and they never understood what he meant, and it all led to so many misunderstandings it wasn’t even worth it. So he hung back, watching the screens with rapt attention. Especially Myrnin’s, but he made an effort to include everyone. His eyes flicked to a space with Arlo and two other adults, as well as a child. Then he looked back at Myrnin. The vampire was with the little girl now, not talking, just waving. L reached out, but there was no way he could reach his friend now, and he dropped his hand back to his side. The lemon cake was gone. “How,” he said slowly, head moving to look at Victoria. “Is it going to be okay?” He didn’t see how. They certainly hadn’t made any miraculous recoveries after the first arena room, after all. And from the looks of things, he thought this one might be even worse. He took a breath, then let it out. Then he turned and headed for the next table it sweets, stopping when he could see them all clearly. He hesitated, then selected a bright red slice of strawberry pie. Hunger Games Room | Rue Rue’s eyes went huge as Myrnin offered her a wave. She couldn’t decide whether she was more or less terrified, seeing him clearly. He looked...not entirely sane, somehow. He looked like someone who’d been through the Games before, who’d seen things he shouldn’t have seen, and somehow, for better or for worse, survived it. She didn’t trust him not to rush at her and rip her throat out. But she didn’t want to be alone, either. Something deep inside of her warned her not to run, something in her told her this was a predator, and she shouldn’t make any sudden moves. She didn’t know why she thought that, but trusting her instincts had saved her on more than one occasion, so she wasn’t about to question it now, when she needed it the most. Now, when one wrong move would end with her bleeding out on the forest floor. He looked...scared. His expression looked a whole lot like hers did, actually. They were both afraid of the same thing: they were afraid of Myrnin, of what he would do if this went wrong. And it could go so very, very wrong. Rue slowly raised her own hand and waved back, her huge eyes fixed unblinkingly on the vampire, her whole body poised to run at a moment’s notice. She wanted to say something, but she also didn’t. Maybe it would be best if she stayed quiet. The tension in the air was so thick she felt like she could barely even breathe, but she still didn’t run, didn’t even back away from him. Then he turned away and air rushed back into her lungs, filling her with energy and causing her to realize she was shaking. She watched him go, still not moving. She hadn’t expected him to leave, not before she was good and dead. After the shelter he’d built around her, and the food he’d caught and not eaten, she’d thought he was likely to either kill her or attempt to team up with her. The former being the far more likely scenario. She waited, shifting her weight uneasily, until he was out of sight. And she still didn’t move. But there was no way she could leave it at that. Like it or not, she was just too curious for her own good, and his actions made no sense to her. The safest thing to do was to let it go, not follow him, let him leave her alone and safe if that’s what he wanted. But she didn’t want to be alone. The little girl swore under her breath. Then she moved, footsteps nearly soundless against the forest floor, to follow him. She hated leaving the food behind, and she knew this was likely to get her killed, but there was something about him that just seemed so...sad. And she couldn’t bring herself to let it go. She thought she was doing a pretty good job of staying quiet. What she didn’t know was that she was following a vampire. So she didn’t worry too much about the tiny, tiny sounds her feet made against the ground, and she certainly didn’t worry about her heartbeat giving her away. No normal human would have detected her, slipping stealthily after Myrnin with her eyes wide open and always moving, scanning her surroundings for any sign of trouble. She stopped as he stopped, freezing in place as he leaned against a tree. The pain in his face made her whole body ache and she was filled with the sudden urge to run out and tell him it was going to be okay, even though she knew she couldn’t do that. It was just…. He was reminding her of herself. His expression made her think of the only time she knew of that she’d felt the same fear and horror that she could see written on his features. The man she’d killed. The man she’d been forced to kill. Only Noah knew about it, she reminded herself firmly, and she knew he would never tell anyone without her permission, but she didn’t like being reminded so strongly of it. She didn’t like seeing that level of pain on anyone’s face, not even someone who probably wanted her dead. Accept he didn’t want her dead. He could have killed her, easily, and he hadn’t. He’d helped her, brought her food and built her a shelter, and she still didn’t understand why. Was that why she was here? Because she wanted to understand? She watched him, waiting for him to continue on. Whether he had a camp or not, whether he even had a destination, she didn’t know. But she’d already made up her mind to find out.

Gin | Arena pt. 2 | Razzle Dazzle mintedstar/fur --cato phoenix |Gin stared down Arlo, eyes narrowed as he breathed heavily, fighting the gnawing doubt in the back of his mind. Did he trust the Doctor? Why? He'd just met her. But she'd protected the girl... But before he could make a decision either way, he was interrupted by the deafening noise of trees being bent, snapped, and knocked down. He leapt back, shocked, as the seemingly normal girl constructed a shelter, destroying trees with the same ease with which a normal kid would snap twigs. So she was an Amanto after all...but that hardly mattered right now. "HEY!!" he called, alarmed, and glanced around, as if expecting someone to leap out at them at any moment. "STOP, STOP! Are you insane??? Do you want everyone in the entire forest to know exactly where we are??"

Arlo's gaze flitted to the sword, slightly irritated, but also understanding. She didn't really trust the group yet either. Most of them had never met so they no had reason to trust her, or for her to trust them. She started to speak but was cut off by the explosion as the tree fell, causing her to jump backwards.
She looked at the tree briefly, blinking a couple of times. The girl's energy hadn't seemed normal, but she hadn't had any idea what she was or could do. That was... interesting. And loud. "I think everyone had something less noisy in mind..." she muttered.
She turned, scanning their surroundings again for any sign of other blinkers. No energy, no noise, nothing. Yet. "No one seems to be nearby at the moment, but I don't recommend staying around here, others will have heard that." Even if there were humans too far away to heard them, she knew there were plenty of blinkers with enhanced senses.

Shade || HG Room || Looking for,,, fallen pup RIPWatching Victoria run off, she waited until she was truly gone before turning her attention to the backpacks and began digging through them. In the event her new wolf friend didn't bring someone back with healing powers, perhaps they'd be able to help her treat the wound at the very least. If she didn't bring back anyone at all, she could make due just fine, maybe Victoria herself could help her when she got back. So far, the backpacks had yielded plenty of rope, some water bottles, bandages, thank lord, but nothing to properly clean a wound. Also some cups, and a couple of boxes of matches. Most of this she had no intention of keeping, save for maybe one of the boxes of matches. The rest of this she and Victoria would probably scatter the supplies for other people to find. Some of them... She had been planning on trying to track down Hook and give him some since she hadn't seen him anywhere in the center. After sorting everything, she put all the supplies she was keeping in the satchel she'd grabbed and the rest into the other two backpacks. This all had taken more than ten minutes, which was, in this predicament, a concerning amount of time for Victoria to be gone. As much as she had hoped it wouldn't be a genuine arena... As soon as she'd been shot, that hope had been smothered. She breathed in hard through her nose and shouldered the backpacks, then began to push herself back to standing with the help of the tree she'd glummed onto. One good leg and half of a bad one would be enough to wander a bit, but she considered for a moment shifting form so she could use all of her limbs. Carrying bags would be harder, though, so she opted for just limping along. "Victoria?" she called, pushing her voice into a harsh whisper and straining her ears and her nose to make her best effort of tracking her. The fact she'd gone straight back to the center made her sick with worry and she swallowed hard, pushing on with more effort going into her speed. The scent of other people was beginning to mingle, making it more difficult to try and distinguish her canine companion. The nearer she got to the center, the more her skin prickled and eventually she decided she wouldn't cross out into the open, not unless she had to. Every now and then she'd hear a rustle, but none of it seemed significant enough to call it anything besides the wind. Or perhaps some other little creatures. Through the trees, she could see the center now, and here is where she stopped. Crouching, she tried to peer between the trunks for her missing company. "Hello? Victoria?" she called softly, quieter than before, figuring her canine ears would be able to pick it up, should she hear her. Aizawa | HG Room: Looking for Shade | ShadeAizawa slunk through the trees, scanning the ground. It wasn't long before he caught sight of a woman who seemed to be limping. He was pretty sure it was the same woman who had been with Victoria. Trailing after her, he stopped when he heard he call Victoria's name. Yep. That was her. "She's dead," he said, dropping out of the tree a few feet from her. He kept his hands where she could see them, showing he didn't intend to hurt her. "You're the one she was with right?" -- Daud | HG Room: Clearing | NobodyFrom his perch, Daud watched several deaths happen one right after the other, taking mental notes as he did. Myrnin's speed was deadly. Daud assumed he had either gotten very, very lucky in the murder mystery room, or Myrnin had let himself get shot. Whichever it was, Daud wasn't going to press his luck. Maybe someone else would get the vampire. The kid who had been near Myrnin and his kill seemed to have an ability similar to transverse. The explosion drew his attention next. It didn't look like anyone had thrown anything at the victim. Did that mean the ground was rigged? Turning on void gaze, he scanned the ground as yellow light bled from his eyes. There- on the other side of the clearing, he could see something glowing faintly. He would take care to avoid it. Slowly, the area began to clear as people fell or vanished into the forest. Soon, there was only a disheveled man dressed in all black slinking toward the supplies. Daud watched intently as the man began to collect supplies, creeping forward slightly. He could take him out. The last traces of void gaze had confirmed that they were essentially alone. Daud clenched his fist, targeting to land directly behind the man. And then a hound came loping out of the trees. Eyes narrowing, Daud hesitated, watching as the two of them talked warily, then seemed to decide it was safe. They had barely taken a few steps when something- no someone- exploded out of the trees faster than Daud's eyes could track. Within a heartbeat, the hound was dead, the man alone, and Daud had only managed to catch a glimpse of the attacker. They hadn't looked like Myrnin, but they certainly had his speed. Daud bristled uneasily. The man then vanished into the trees using what Daud had previously assumed was rope. A grappling hook, perhaps? He couldn't see what else it could have been unless the man had some abilities. Now most certainly alone, Daud turned his attention back to the supplies. Weapons were his main target. Turning on void gaze to (hopefully) stop anyone from sneaking up on him, he transversed over to the supplies, he quickly snatched a sword, a dagger, and after a moment longer searching than he would have liked, mana enhancers. He then transversed back into the forest, vanishing into the trees.

Shade || HG Room || Iceclaw Hearing someone drop down behind her, she twisted around 100% prepared to confront whoever it was, though quietly hoping it might be her missing companion. Fortunately, no such defense was needed, and he rather abruptly smothered her hopes of finding the wolf. "Oh." The thick glob of ice in her stomach suddenly became very prominent again and she frowned, swallowing hard against the lump in her throat. She hadn't known Victoria for very long... But still, it was immensely distressing to hear that she had died so quickly. It seemed terribly unfair, and her face screwed itself into a frown. Would this be it? Would they all truly die in here? Something in her hardened as she wondered how permanent it was. Well... she had heard of people dying and blinking in again, but was it really the same person? Thinking about it made her sick, and she focused on the black-haired fellow in front of her. Actually, thinking more on it, it was hard to believe he was being truthful in his words. It had been so quick- less than thirty minutes, at most... How could this man know of it? He certainly didn't look threatening. No weapons in hand and none of his body language suggested any offensive movements. "Yes, I am. How did she die? Did you kill her?" she asked, not with focused hostility but still a bit... tense.

Her eyes narrowed thoughtfully, and she properly repositioned herself so she was leaning on a tree again while they spoke. "I don't think I've met Hange... The only vampire I'm familiar with is Myrnin," she said more quietly. Angling er ears towards him, she nodded slowly, and did look more relieved knowing it wasn't painful for the sweet little canine.
"An arrow of some sort," she said, giving her hip a very delicate little pat, which she winced from both because despite her efforts hurt like hell and because she realized as soon as she did it it was a stupid idea. "I'm not sure if it was from a crossbow or something else, but I dare not pull it out yet, given... our predicament. I don't suppose you know anything about healing?"

Blinking into the house, Neb was adjusting her armor, having been in front of a mirror before as she fixed a crooked shoulder pad. She paused with narrowed eyes before a soft breath left her lips. It hadn't been long, but enough of a gap was made from her last blink that the hero had just started to wonder if her return was some kind of fluke.
Apparently not.
Appearing right in front of the ever constant bookshelf, Neb's eyes casually wandered over the blank and untitled books. Something different caught her attention, though. Poking out from a higher shelf was a slip of paper, pressed between two books. Still as short as she was in her early teens, Neb had to stretch onto her toes and gave a little jump to grab at the corner of the note. Once successful, she turned to the rest of the living room, feeling a sense of relief no one else was around at the moment. She leaned against the corner of the shelf and carefully undid the neat folds. The outside wasn't marked, so she hoped this wasn't left behind from someone else. Maybe it was the house again, once more trying to communicate. But as the words became revealed, the very first letters gave a jolt to Neb's heart and she felt herself take in a sharp breath.
Neb,
I miss you. I have your Hero License in my pocket every day hoping that it will bring me the strength and bravery you processed but it’s hard to match up. I don’t have much to say, this is one of the hardest letters I’ve had to write. I have hope you’ll be able to read it some day but I know that’s childish. I just… I needed to say goodbye to you in my own way but I can’t find the words to. I can only think about how much I miss you. How much I want to see you again. You were one of my closest friends. I looked up to you so much, for everything you did and everything you tried to achieve. I hope you made it off your world safely. I can’t tell you how much I hope that. Goodbye for the last time, Nebula Star.
With love,
Shilo
One arm had wound its way across Neb's stomach as she sank lower and lower to the floor as she read over the letter several times. From Shilo...but she had met Shilo again. Sort of, anyway. This was from before then. How long after Neb had gone from the house did she write it? Her fangs poked into her bottom lip as the thoughts whirled. She still hadn't gotten a chance to ask about the Shilo she had left behind, only meeting the child her first blink back. It was still a weird feeling that had washed over her. Her friend was right there, but she wasn't at the same time. It wasn't the same...
"I'm stupid," she muttered out loud to no one, bringing a hand to pass over her face with a long sigh. What did the house even want with her at this point anyway?

Shilo Saga | Living Room | dawn It had been long enough since her last blink that she had started to wonder if the House was just playing games with her. Or allowed her one moment back just long enough to see Arlo. She had started to hope that she could start her memento search all over again, maybe even make a few new friends even. She didn't know why, but it hurt more now than it had before -- not being able to go back. She hadn't even been able to ask about Combeferre.
Maybe it was her thinking about the House, or just by sheer will power (Lord knows if anyone had a will strong enough to force her way back into the Paradox House it was Shilo.) Either way, she found herself in the living room again, a small smile tugging at the corner of her mouth at first until she didn't see anyone there. The House really was playing games with her. Then a lump rose in her throat when something caught her eye.
The Hero. Her pointed ears, her purple armor. For a moment Shilo felt sick, her blood running cold like she'd seen a ghost. Was this just another room? It was a dirty trick if so. "Neb?" she finally found herself taking a step forward, the name sounding hoarse as she tried to speak around the tightness of her throat. "Is that really you?"

The sound of quiet music caught Vyra's attention, briefly drawing he attention from the screen as she looked for it's source. She hadn't heard magic in quite awhile, probably not since before she'd been captured, back when she'd lived at the inn with Kerah and Arlo. Traveling musicians had played there sometimes when they'd passed through. She'd always liked that.
She caught part of what L said about them not being able to do anything, but still didn't quite get it. Not able to do anything about what was happening on the screens? What was happening on the screens though? The boy L had been talking to turned to her and spoke. Vyra's response was a bit delayed, not realizing that he'd actually been talking to her at first. People in her world didn't really talk to her unless they were angry or wanted her to do something. It clicked after a moment and she quickly replied 'Sorry. I don't know what's going on... one of them has a sword pointed-' she signed, stopping abruptly as a loud boom came from the screen she'd looked away from.
Vyra's eyes widened, focusing on the screen again, one hand on the edge of it as she watched a tree falling towards the group of blinkers. Arlo. She bit her lip and winced as it hit the ground with a crash, but thankfully none of them- Arlo included seemed to have been injured.

Shilo Saga | Living Room | dawn Shilo froze where she was as the girl she once new moved. It looked like Neb, but she was older now. Though, Shi was two years older as well. Tears started to well in the assassin's eyes when she heard the hero say her name and everything fell into place. This wasn't a room, this wasn't a trick, it was actually her. The young Hero who gave Shilo her hero license in her last moments, the little plastic card that Shilo still carried with her everywhere she went.
"I don't know," Shilo answered honestly. How could she? But she was here now. "I..." she took a couple careful steps forward, reaching out to touch Neb's hand to make sure she was really there. When contact was made, the haphephobia woman didn't hesitate to throw her arms around Nebula Star and pull her into a tight hug, burying her face in the other's neck. "You're okay!" Every thing came rushing back. The sorrow that she'd had at her friends last moments, the anger that she'd been taken away, the bittersweet knowledge that at least they met and became friends. None of it matched to the pure elation she felt now, the relief that her friend was not only alive but well.

Neb could say the same thing, she guessed. There never was a certainty when it came to matters of the house. What was once constant was now masked with the unknown. As Shilo inched ever closer, Neb felt her body pull towards the other, her own hand reaching to Shilo as well.
She wasn't even surprised when the hug came, welcoming being crushed against her friend. She pressed her hands hard against Shilo's back, fisting against her shirt. She had to stop herself from biting her lip before it bled, and finally the tears sprung fast. "Mmn." It was hard to make words as Neb tried not to let loose loud sobs, instead stifling herself to sniffles. "I made it." Despite all the emotions erupting to the surface, she still found herself smiling. "I made it," she repeated quieter, hiding her face against Shilo's shoulder. "I missed you so much! I thought-- I thought..." She didn't finish, and she figured Shilo didn't need her to. She shook her head, focusing all of her senses on the person here with her.

She couldn't remember the last time she'd let one of her own Team members touch her, but she'd hugged Arlo and Neb so easily. There was no fear, there was just an inescapable need to physically hold on to them. "I missed you too," Shilo laughed through the tears. "I know," she pulled away from the hug, lifting a gloved hand to wipe away a few of Neb's tears before a few of her own. "I'm not though. Just got a nasty scar," she figured Neb had been trying to talk about the fight with Crow, or maybe she'd been trying to say she thought so much time had passed in Shi's timeline that the events of her world had come to pass. Either way, Shilo was here and that was what mattered.
Another chuckle came and she shook her head. "I can't believe you're actually here. Does that mean... did you get my-?" Shilo's gaze dropped to Neb's hand clutching the piece of paper. "Did you just get it?" she asked, eyebrows furrowed as she met the Hero's gaze one more.

As they held each other, Neb couldn't help but to remember that the first time they'd hugged was on the day Neb had announced the news of her world's demise to the house. That time seemed so far away now. She hugged the younger Shilo as well, but this was the real deal. And god how she needed it.
Finding herself pushed back, she laughed a bit as Shilo wiped her tears and used her free hand to dry more from her face. As much as she tried to act more hardened, inside she was still the same when faced with those closest to her. Neb smiled, but had concern over Shilo mentioning another scar. She would ask later, she thought, not wanting to dredge up anything else.
"I was just as surprised," she replied, then followed Shilo's sight to the paper and she held it up with a nod. "Yeah, I blinked in a bit ago. I haven't been in the living room much, and I don't know it just caught my eye this time." She wished she could have gotten in a long time ago, but then again the house did always seem to like mixing up timings. "How long ago did you write it?"

Shilo Saga | Living Room | dawn Shilo nodded in understanding. Honestly, she wasn't sure if anyone had actually gotten their notes, she just knew that they hadn't come back with her when she'd blinked back to her own world. "Um, a while. I started writing them after my world. I just wanted everyone to know I really said good-bye to them. Yours. I think a month after your world disappeared? I tried the moment I blinked back but I just couldn't get the words out." Shilo admitted, rubbing the back of her neck. "I'm glad you got it though. But, now it's kind of not really a good-bye is it?" Well, a hello was always better than a good-bye in her book.
"How long has it been for you?" She asked. "And how long have you been back?" Suddenly Shilo wanted to know everything. All of it. Everything she'd missed from Neb's world to everything that had happened since she started blinking back. She wanted to know that Neb was more than just alive but actually okay and happy. "Oh!" Shilo reached into her back pocket, pulling out the hero' license, a proud grin on her face. "I still keep it with me. I swear, it's saved my life a few times."

Shilo's world - Neb hadn't been there, but going by what she remembered she could guess how that had ended. She gave a slow nod, but smiled still. "It's a little late, but I'll take it. It...still means a lot to know I was still thought about. Thank you." She wiped the last wetness from the corner of her eyes as Shilo continued, and she hummed once. "Let's see...three years? Getting spit into another dimension kind of messed with my dates. I've been blinking back for a couple months now." She gave a shrug and a short laugh.
Her eyes widened as Shilo produced her license. She reached out a hand, tracing over the laminated card. "Wow," she breathed, "that feels like a lifetime ago." Her finger brushed over the photo of herself and how carefree she appeared. Had she even turned fourteen then? Paragon City. She never thought she'd read the city's name again. Things felt so different from back then. Neb's eyes softened. "I'm glad. Giving it to you was sort of like letting go of that last piece I needed, I always hoped it would help you after thinking I was gonna be gone." She hadn't quite meant to get that deep at the end and she shuffled a foot. "But what about you?" she asked, "have you been back awhile?"

Shade || HG Room || Aizawa
When he mentioned a 'quirk', she just assumed right off he meant some kind of powers. Unless some people really were just that quirky, though she had yet to meet anybody like that. Anybody she remembered, anyways. "I have regenerative abilities, although not particularly strong ones. If I somehow manage to not bleed out in a day, that would be ideal." Shade thought it over for a moment, though in the end it was useless to debate it. "If we can snap it off, I agree. I was too afraid to do it myself, given the awkward angle, and Victoria..." Rest her soul, but she wasn't sure how capable her paws would have been. And risking getting drool on the wound seemed like the worse route. "I have a few bandages I managed to procure, as well."

Shilo Saga | Living Room | dawn Shilo smiled in a 'you're welcome' though now that they were here, face to face, it felt a little morbid to have written the letter at all. She wondered, for a moment, about Danny and Crutchie, Enjolras and Combeferre, Shade, Nico, Noctine, Arceus, even Hook and Shade who she hadn't gotten to know well but remembered fondly now... she'd made so many friends. People she cared about more than she could put into words. Would she be able to say good-bye again? Should she write more letters?
She was pulled from her thoughts by Nebula's explanation. "Yeah, I can imagine it has," dealing with the time changes of the Paradox House was enough for her, but having your actual world thrown into a new dimension? That must have messed time up to a new level.
Another smile graced her lips as Neb took the Hero License. "You were a kid. I'm honestly surprised I let myself learn anything from you," Shilo teased. But she was glad of it. Without the House, without its residence, Shilo never would have grown as a person and learned the many lessons of compassion and humanity that she had need to learn to become the person she was today. "Well," Shilo hesitated, not sure if she should take the license back now or not. She pressed on. "I was gone for about two years and I've only been back about a month or so? I've blinked in twice. The day I got back here was actually June 6th, so I was up at my childhood home." There was an unintentional edge to her voice and she cleared her throat. The day itself was special to her, so was the home in its own way, but it never made her feel safe.

Neb smirked at the comment, showing her fangs. "I tried real hard to be a know-it-all back then." She laughed. She gave the license a last once over, flipping it over to let the holographic outlines shimmer in the dim lights. She didn't need it anymore, obviously, having all she needed to work as a hero where she lived now, but it was still a nice reminder of the past. With fondness she handed it back to Shilo.
"Sounds like we can relearn the house together then," Neb said. She'd been back in the lodge and a room already, but aside from that first blink she hadn't been able to reunite with anyone else she knew. Until now, of course. She fell silent as Shilo continued, her mind going back to her meeting with the younger version of her at the mention of a childhood home. She wondered if the two were the same or not now. It'd be a long time ago for Shilo, but Neb did have to wonder if she remembered a time in the house from that age. She blinked out of her thoughts, giving a small nod. "Everything going okay with...well, everything?" she then asked. Shilo's life has always been busy and eventful from what Neb remembered, she didn't quite know what to pin down in a question.

Shilo Saga | Living Room | dawn "Reminded me of myself as a kid, that's probably why we got along at all," Shilo chuckled, slipping the license back into her pocket. Of course, Shilo at thirteen or fourteen had a completely different reason to be a know-it-all. "That would actually be great. Maybe we'll run into a few more friends, even." As much as she was happy that Neb was here, alive, Shilo wanted a head count on everyone else that was still here. She wanted to know who else was alive.
At Neb's question, the assassin nodded. "Yeah, just as busy as normal really. Nara's started work on a new surveillance system so hopefully we'll be able to monitor world governments better. We had a couple moments where I thought we were going to lose Vince, Eric, and Xander though," Shilo sighed. "Nothing dangerous..." she tried to correct herself quickly, knowing how that must have sounded, but that also wasn't really true either. "Just, puppy love. But over all it's been a lot of the same from before. Just flying around, surveying the world, and trying to keep as much of it from going to Hell as possible." She sounded so casual about it, after all it was just her life.
"Though, I actually got pretty sick there for a minute after my last blink," Shilo moved her hand away from her body as a way to indicate that she meant the blink that she had before she just stopped appearing all together. "I got stabbed, right?" She put a hand to her chest, near her heart. It had been the wound that everyone saw. "And Crow had the nerve to poison the katar. I was sick for like two months while Eric and Quincy worked on finding an actual antidote," again, she was casual about it. Honestly, she was just glad to have someone to tell this story too. She'd been wanting so badly to tell everyone about her life and Team 73 members already knew it all.

"I hope so," Neb added, "I haven't seen anyone else besides Noctin, Enjolras, and--" And that was it, actually, as she wasn't about to mention the other Shilo and Arlo. "There's been a lot of new faces for me." She wanted to meet everyone again, but it was also hard to decide if it was alright if the house had finished with them, so long as it wasn't from harm of course.
Neb's eyes almost widened as Shilo gave a rundown and mentioned her teammates, though let out an 'oh' when she explained more. "Busy as ever, yeah? I almost forgot how similar our jobs got. Sort of." She gave a frown as Shilo indicated around her heart. "...did you blink in like that?" The thought slipped out before Neb even had a chance to filter it and she waved a hand quickly. "I mean-- Sorry. Wow, that's a lot though." Hearing the details really set reality in. Neb was just glad Shilo had actually survive her ordeal. She was stronger than most, but she still wasn't superhuman, and Neb felt even more amazement towards the other.

Shilo Saga | Living Room | dawn "Got it, okay," Shilo had seen Enjolras as well, from a distance, at the lodge. But only for a few moments before she blinked out again. "Well, let's hope for the best, I guess?" she ventured, assuming that was the best way to go. Maybe, just maybe, the House would bring back their friends later down the road. Just as it had for them. Or maybe they were safe.
"Yeah, honestly," she chuckled. "Though, I'm not really a hero." That had probably been why Shilo had looked up so much to a teenage Neb. Because they did more or less the same job, but Neb did it without the same level of violence. At first Shi had just thought it was idealistic and would lead to later problems down the road. But now, she wasn't so sure. Maybe that was a philosophical discussion for another time.
"Sick? No," Shilo said. Death, or nearly dying, wasn't a problem for her to talk about so she didn't mind it at all. "But the blink that I had before I disappeared for a while, was the exact moment I was stabbed. I couldn't make it back to let people know I was okay. So, here I am now, I guess, with only a few of us from before." All of it was so bitter sweet she could almost taste it on her tongue.
"I love a dramatic life," Shilo brushed some hair from her face. "All of it tends to sound worse than it actually is, I'm sure." Or she'd just been completely desensitized to it all, but same thing right? "So, what happened after your world was sucked through the dimension? If you don't mind me asking." Talking about traumatic events was hard. You never knew where the line was so you didn't cross it.

Of course Myrnin could smell Rue. And hear her heartbeat, just behind him, always a bit away. Clearly she didn't know he could hear her. But he didn't make an effort of call attention to her. At least not yet. Instead, he found that he was having a bit of difficulty working up the desire to move from the tree. Contemplating curling up at its base and just hoping the room pasted by around him. It wouldn't. But what else could he do? There was more to this, of course. More to this room. He wasn't going to get an easy way out. No one was. It would be play by the House's rules and no other. Myrnin turned, back against the tree, and slid down its trunk. His eyes were closed - just in case they ordained to change color on him. It wouldn't matter if they did - closed or open it made no difference. Unless you considered his feelings. "It'll be dark soon," he said quietly. It was almost like he was talking to himself, but instead his tone was just a bit inclined to be directed at Rue. "You'll want to get that fire started before it does." He didn't look like he was moving. There wasn't an easy way, no magic button to get him out, but he didn't know what else to do or where else to go. Maybe if he sat here, then at least knowing there was some living soul close by was enough. Maybe then he wouldn't slip. Or maybe she'd followed him to do what purpose this room clearly had. It almost would have made him snort. The girl probably didn't have any means to kill a vampire. He wasn't worried. Just sad. He would slip. Probably tonight or early tomorrow ... tomorrow ... ... ... Thoughts took a second to reform again, as if the mere act of noticing they were scattering had caused it to worsen. It was only then that he opened his eyes, biting his lip. He frowned then, saying softly, "What's your name?"

While The Doctor did not have the same reaction as Gin or Arlo, she did hurriedly step back from the tree. Her fingers itched, pulling out her sonic screwdriver both as if it worked (it didn't) and that it could do anything offensive to flesh and blood (in theory it could, but nothing like what she'd reached for it for). Only as she did it did she question why. Just as quickly as she pulled it out, she put the sonic back. Gin was now on the other side of the tree, along with Ononoki, so The Doctor had to scramble around it so she could rest her hand on Ononoki's shoulder. Her face was tense, but she said to the girl, "Very impressive. Unfortunately, Arlo's right. It was a bit too noisy." Her voice was kind. Not because she was talking to a child, but because she would try to talk to everyone with a bit of understanding and kindness. The words were a bit off this time, however. There didn't seem any point in arguing with Gin. Instead, it seemed more likely that they needed to keep moving and see how things went. "Can we agree to pick this up later if we have to?" The Doctor asked. "I don't mind either of you coming along, but we're going." She glanced down at Ononoki. "We're going, right?" she asked, glancing at Gin. It seemed just as likely that the kid would want to go with Gin if the group split.
