"Uh, I guess so?" How frequent did the other blinker mean? "Everytime I'm here, there's always someone else...I-I come here every now and then, though." This House never seemed to be empty, ever. Was there ever a time when no one was here? Eises wondered how many times she blinked in just as someone was leaving the living room for the hall, or how many times she's blinked in seconds after someone blinked out. Of course, there could be people in rooms right now as they spoke for all she knew. She merely stood there, placing her hands in her trenchcoat pockets. "Y-Yeah, I don't really know how that works either. The House doesn't really talk to us, I-I think the others are as clueless as me." She's never heard of the House communicating, but who knew, maybe she was wrong. She couldn't tell, but anything related to the House automatically made her shut her brain off. If he wanted a conversation full of theories, Eises was not the right person to approach. "I-If you're curious, we can check one out." "N-Nice meetin' you, Mordecai." If he didn't have a book in his hands, Eises would've approached and would've hesitantly offered a handshake. That was the go-to for greetings, right? Do people just shake anyone's hands? Was there a rule for when not to? Before Eises' thoughts went down another rabbit hole of questions, she looked to the other blinker again. She noted that he was acting a little strange, was he shy too? She was never very good at reading people in most situations. Killing intent? Sure. Normal emotions? That was a different world for her. "Y-Yeah, most of us come from different worlds." Eises always assumed every blinker came from a separate world, but Hyacin appearing with her one day changed that. "L-Like, a lot of blinkers come from an Earth? But not all Earths are the same? They all have humans too." It was a little strange. It made her wonder if there were other versions of Theia. "Um...are you a human from an Earth too? We don't have humans in my world." [[ Mordecai || Living Room || Numquam ]]
"Hmm, I see," Mordecai replied. It sounded like the place didn't really give you the option of avoiding the other visitors... That seemed a bit inconvenient. He would probably need to make sure he kept his hood and scarf on in case the House brought him back again. He doubted that he would be lucky enough to go unrecognized twice. "I suppose you've been coming here for awhile then?"
He hesitated, glancing toward the door, then back to Eises. "Sure, I mean, If you don't mind." He wasn't quite sure how he felt about the whole 'Paradox House' thing, but he was curious about the odd rooms she'd mentioned. She'd said that they could be dangerous, but considering that pretty much everyone where he was from was terrified of him, he was fairly confident that he had a decent chance against whatever they might run into. He wasn't sure when he'd get another chance, or if the next person he met there would be friendly.
"You too, Eises." Had he already said that? What would have been the most normal part of their conversation to anyone else almost felt like the strangest to him. Almost more than the magical living house itself and it's seemingly impossible rooms.
What? Mordecai's eyes widened. He hadn't misheard her earlier? She really had meant 'worlds'? "That's... amazing." Definitely stranger than appearing in the House. "Earth," he repeated, seeming to test the word. "Uh, no, I'm not from there. My world has humans too, but it's called Xaphroda..." Mordecai hesitated to answer the other part of her question. If they really were from different worlds, would she or the other people at the House be able to tell that he wasn't his world's version of a human? Were humans the same in all other worlds? It was probably better not to take the chance and go with something they probably wouldn't have heard of. "I'm a ra'seirri though."
"I-I have been, yeah." It had been a few years already, Eises recalled she was still living under Vantis when she first started blinking in. "There's a bunch of people that've been here for longer." She couldn't tell how long the others have been popping up. It could have been a few months, or it could have been a few years. It didn't help that time passed differently in everyone's worlds. "A-Alright." She hoped this was one of the nicer rooms, but her hopes weren't too high. She was confident in her magic when she fought back in her world, but the House always made her unsure. If they happened to get a puzzle-room instead...well, she hoped Mordecai was good with thinking. Her brain was picky with what subjects it could critically think with. The wolf's hands stayed in her pockets until she reached the hallway door. Out of habit, she slowly opened it and peeked in with her ears perked up. Like always, it was devoid of other blinkers and only the doors stood. "So, here's the hallway. Her palm was raised casually as she walked. "Doesn't really matter what door you use, so you can pick any and cross your fingers." Eises laughed a little, "You're one of the few I've met that isn't from an Earth." This House seemed to have a liking to the different variants of that world. "Za-for-dah." She repeated after him. The name sounded pretty, she liked it. "Hmm, humans seem a little weird, don't you think? I only see them when I'm here." Every now and then she tries to make little comparisons here and there to them and Theians. "What's a rrra-say-rree?" She rolled her tongue at each r, exaggerating the pronunciation intentionally.

"I was referring to the young personage within your care, but I suppose that the interest in your Istra will do as well," said Myrnin, not skipping a neat and still looking interested. "How many people are in the 'Echo'. And why exactly is it called that?" He froze a bit as she didn't really seem to get what he was. Had he told her? Maybe, maybe not. He couldn't remember. But clearly he hadn't. He sniffed. "Not sure about my age either. Roughly speaking I'm two-thousand years old." He waved his hands around a bit, not noticing a crystalline squirrel running up the outer cloth of his pants. "Yes ... yes, me as well. Long time ago, however, as I said." He still said the words with distaste. His eyes had been drawn to the crown, even as it crumbled away in Eises' hands. Then his eyes were drawn back up to meet hers. "You don't remember?" he asked. "I wasn't exactly secretive about it." He tapped his foot against the snow and the squirrel had to work a bit to keep a hold. "Yeah," he said. "In that room where bad things kept blinking in. You were possessed or something." He licked his lips. His memory was clearly a bit more vivid than Eises. He took the crown she offered him, moving it around between his fingers. He didn't seem to have any reaction as the snow lion tried to attack first the mouse and then the bird. Only when Eises ducked away did he lean forward, his timing rather insync with her getting up, and placed the crown on her head. "Really," he said. "You're much more a king or queen than I am." He sounded amused, for sure. Particularly since she had a face full of snow. "Though perhaps you should teach your monkey subject better manners." (Soooo sorry for late reply!) "O-Oh." Eises' face had hints of red in embarrassment. "Mmm, when he hatched, I named him Hyacindiemo, t-then he chose to take up my last name too. What about yours?" She made sure to give him a name fit for a dragon. Hyacin officially setting his last name as hers came to no surprise, but she also made sure to give him the appropriate suffix one always saw with the surnames of dragonkind. That...was a good question. She brought her index finger to her chin and thought about it for a few moments. "It's...pretty tiny compared to the other companies...m-maybe 60 people?" It was quite different compared to something like the Oaris who numbered in the hundreds. "Y'know, I've never really asked our Istra why she named it that. When I blink back, I'll ask her for you." She smiled a little in response. Her smile faintly disappeared. Myrnin was still his regular self, but there was no indication that he was joking either. He said his age a little too casually for that. Did he give her a ridiculous number because he didn't want her finding out? He wouldn't be the first to do that to her. Had he said a number in the early 100s, she would have believed it seeing that regular Theians live quite past their 100s. The wolf still didn't know that most Humans could barely make it to 100. She laughed nervously, "E-Er, really, what's your age? 60-something? 70-something? I-I mean, even if you're on the older side, you still look pretty young! N-No need to hide it..." Eises decided not to bring the subject of being sold any further. She could imagine it wasn't a good time for him as it was for her. "Room where..." Her voice trailed as she tried remembering. Her face twisted into a grimace, the sound of possession flooded her memories. "I...I remember now." She became quiet again, this time longer than before. "Y-Yeah, that was when Calibris waking up would put me to sleep..." Eises really had no idea that it was Myrnin who helped her revert back to normal. Most of that room was fuzzy to her, but she mostly remembered that state she left Noctin in once she came to, a memory she really tried to forget. Now she started to feel embarrassed that Myrnin was able to witness all of that. Part of her was surprised that the experience didn't stop him from talking to her. "S-So you can read thoughts? Memories too?" She watched as another ice-monkey approached them. This one chose to jump on Myrinin's chest and cling to him. She stared for a bit, curious to see if it was in attack mode or simply wanted a cuddle. Then she looked to her right, and saw that the path of ice sculptures continued as far as she could see. What would they see if they walked in that direction? Different species of ice-animals? Maybe something else along the way? She glanced at Myrnin with a slight smile before she began to walk. "M-M-Me? A queen?" There was the nickname of ice queen, sure, but that was as close as she could ever get. She then snorted, "No way, anyone's royalty compared to me. Queens don't grow up under bridges and stealin' wallets just to find food. I-I don't think they like killin' people for a living either..." She then had to think about that last sentence for a second. "W-Well wait, not directly I mean. Like-Like, they don't do it themselves...Y-You know what I mean!" "Samuel," Myrnin said easily. "I don't know his last name. Or rather, I do not it, but I haven't told him yet. I think he's running from something and it's best to leave last names behind when you are a vampire." His eyes flicked to the side, is arm lifting as the squirrel made it to his wrist and hung from it, small ice feet scrabbling. Instead of shaking it off, he lifted his other hand and helped it up before continuing to say to Eises, "I think that would be very interesting. A name like that ... well ..." His eyes turned to Eises and a sharp smile hovered around his lips. "There's a story there, I'm sure. An interesting one." "My appearance is twenty-five," he said, trying not to laugh. "I am not a human, and I doubt I am what you are." He could really point to his mouth, his hands were a bit busy. For some reason these ice creatures were taking a liking to him. But he did unhinge his fangs and let his eyes, originally green, turn a bright red. "My species lives indefinitely," he added, his physical characteristics returning to their previous state. "However, I am the oldest. This is the Paradox House after all. I don't have to be human." He started walking after her, various ice beasts managing to hang on as he trotted along. "I really have seen two-thousand years go by." He paused, tilting his head to catch a glimpse of Eises' expression. He wasn't sure if she was unnerved by his ability to read minds. But he nodded after a second. "I can. If I try to. If I need to. I can do a lot of things. I choose not to." He looked ahead, voice dropping. He seemed to be thinking about something he'd rather not. But he broke out of it again when Eises' mentioned queens. He barked a laugh, causing the ice bird in his hair to fly away in surprise and a couple of ice creatures around to scatter or make noise themselves. "Dear Eises ... I have been a noble and a peasant many a time. I would hardly even reject the suggestion of king at some point in the future. Your background hardly matters. Perhaps not queen, if the line of monarchy follows bloodline in your world. But I would still not sell yourself so short." He glanced at her then, a sparkle in his eyes. "Did you wish to play a game?"

Kelsier | Trist Exercise Room | striderNico may not have been joking, but Kelsier still chuckled. Overly helpful skeletons, huh? That sounded...interesting. He’d have to ask to see those whenever they weren’t trapped in a room. Which, judging by how things had gone for them so far, wasn’t going to happen anytime soon. He nodded, agreeing completely with Nico’s remark. “As long as I don’t have to die horribly again, I’m good.” He decided out loud, then stopped, because it was entirely possible he would have to die again before this was over. He was beginning to see why older members tried to avoid rooms and rolled their eyes whenever amateurs went for them. He wondered how mad about their whole fight to the death Nico was. Kelsier knew he couldn’t blame him, as he had been both the one to attack and the one to actually kill Nico at the end of it. He supposed he completely deserved any ill will towards him at this point. Although he was planning to try and fix that, as much as he thought he could. As Nico answered the question, though, his mind turned completely over to the thought of those...less than savory rooms. He imagines being forced to turn on his friends, or himself. Would he do it under any circumstances? “How does it force people?” He asked quietly, not sure he really wanted to know. Because knowing meant knowing whether it could happen to him, and the thought made him feel a little sick. “I mean, does it just threaten you, or does it actually mess with your brain?” That was an important difference to him. If it was a threat, your choices and actions were still your own, not the House’s. In that case, those lives were on your hands, and your options were limited, not gone. If it messed with your head...that was a completely different story. In that case it was the House who killed whose people, and you were as much a victim as anyone was. It felt wrong to prefer one over the other, but the truth was, Kelsier preferred to blame the House than his fellow blinkers for any lives lost. At least it seemed to not be permanent. Or Nico hadn’t met someone who died permanently, and Nico seemed to be a pretty experienced blinker from what Kelsier had seen. He decided that if it happened, it was probably very rare, and filed that away for future use. Then he blinked, surprised, and looked at Nico. “I don’t want to kill you.” He said, and even he could hear the surprise in his tone, as though there was no reason Nico would have asked that. As if. He almost snorted at himself, but he didn’t. “I meant what I said about it being a mistake.” He added in a gentler tone, not condescending, just...almost humble, like he knew what he’d done. He smiled a little sadly, and not for the first time he wondered whether he could ever repair the damage he’d done. “I won’t drop you. I swear it.” He promised, looking Nico in the eye to show he meant it. “And I’m putting my life in your hands, too, so hopefully we really are past all that.” Then he listened, a bit baffled, as Nico continued to tell him about his past. Maybe they really were going to make it to trust someday, maybe somehow, Nico didn’t completely hate his guts. No, he didn’t like Nico’s dad. From what he’d heard, that god was kind of a horrible person, and a whole lot like a nobleman. The sort of person Kelsier had vowed to destroy, actually, which was inconvenient, because there was no way to get to Nico’s world and kill him. Some battles weren’t actually possible to fight, apparently. “That’s why you’re afraid of heights.” He realized as Nico went on, and it made sense. Of course that was why. Also, Nico had a really messed up family. Not that Kelsier could really talk of course, but still, what kind of uncles tried to kill their nephews for existing? Oh wait. That wasn’t so unusual for Kelsier after all. “Your uncles kind of suck.” He offered, pretty sure that I’m sorry that happened to you would sound a whole lot like pity, which Nico definitely wouldn’t want. “And all I have is a stupid brother. This is one time I will admit, you’ve defeated me when it comes to family drama.” He thought he was funny. “Well, me deciding to drop you is one less thing for you to worry about.” He continued, figuring Nico probably didn’t want to talk about his family any more. If he did, of course, the door was open. “Because I won’t.” And he began to hunt around for something to anchor his rope, taking Nico’s outburst completely in stride. Eventually he found something; a small place to slide the rope into, that didn’t come free even when he tugged on it. He came back to Nico, grinning cheerfully as he handed over the rope. “All set.”

Perhaps not queen, if the line of monarchy follows bloodline in your world. But I would still not sell yourself so short." He glanced at her then, a sparkle in his eyes. "Did you wish to play a game?" "Sah-muu-el." Eises echoed, placing more emphasis on each syllable as she usually did when hearing names. "That's not a name you hear everyday." She tilted her head a bit, "O-Oh, vampires are real in your world?" In Theia, they were merely something of legend. It was a little odd knowing that some worlds had fictional creatures be real. "Why are last names bad?" Were vampire hunters real too? Surely those would also be fictional like in the movies. "Y-Yeah, I know the Istres of other companies chose their company names with a meaning." "Do humans exist in your world? S-Seems to be a common species in the House for some reason." What was so special about them anyway? She snorted, "N-No, I don't think you're a demitheian like me. I don't see any animal parts on ya. Was one of your parents an animal?" She pointed to her ears as she spoke. Even monkeys, which looked similar enough to Theians, retained their tails when they turned into semitheians. Although, the thought made her wonder if it was possible for apes to transform. How would that look like? "I-I mean...the way you look doesn't tell me much!" She laughed nervously before showing off her sharp teeth with a toothy grin. Her already sharp canines grew even sharper and longer while her pupils turned into thin slits. Her eyes turned into a deep purple for a few seconds before turning back to grey. "T-There's another colour, but you m-might freeze if I take too long to change them back." Technically, there were two other colours...maybe three. If Myrnin was there to see Calibris awake, then she was sure he would've saw one of those colours in that room. Since Myrnin's world acted a bit differently than hers, she had to wonder, "What does it mean when your eyes change colour?" Her teeth being longer than usual made her voice sound a little off. Slowly, her canines reverted back to their regular and slightly wolf-like state. Myrnin's appearance changing didn't faze her, although the part about immortality startled her a little. "Y-Y-You really live forever?" Now she was starting to believe him being a couple thousand years old. How did that work? "W-What about if you get attacked? Can you get killed at all?" The closest she could think of were the ancient dragons that lived in the deeper parts of the country, but even those could get killed if there was an army big enough...at least she thought so. "S-So...you've seen your world change over the years?" How good of a memory did this man have? "I guess that's useful in a serious attack." Her mind seemed to always take things back to fighting. Being part of a combat squad, it was a little hard not to. The thought of him being able to read memories made her feel a little embarrassed, however. How many of those did he see when they were in that room? Most of her life was not a happy one, and any normal person would probably feel awkward watching a little girl experience trauma after trauma. Noble and peasant? Eises supposed it wouldn't be surprising for someone living so long to experience different things. "W-Well, in books and movies you always hear about royal bloodlines and being born into it, but I don't know enough about royalty t-to tell you the truth." Perhaps she could visit a library with Evina on their next vacation. Sell herself short? She almost chuckled. "I-I'm just telling the truth. There isn't much going for me, you know." At this point, any dream she's had about herself had been shattered. She's long accepted that she won't have the life she would have liked. If she were still in her world, Eises' thoghts would have spiraled down into remembering Gestes' words, but now wasn't the time for that. Thankfully, any hint of those thoughts were interrupted by Myrnin's question. "G-Game? Sure, but what kind of game?"

Nico | Trust Exercise Room | ®Hawkpath® The mention of dying horribly seemed to almost freeze Nico where he was. Because that was the thing… they very easily could die horribly, and there was nothing they could do about it other than hope for the best. Hope that this was not a room that required it. He knew it was stupid and reckless to go into rooms, and yet sometimes he needed to be stupid and reckless to prove he was even still alive. And it got him into situations he didn’t understand and didn’t want to be in. What did that say about him? What did it say about him that at least once he had willingly gone into a room with Kelsier, knowing the likelihood that it would be a bad one? Why hadn’t he stopped the man from going. He could have. He really could have. Kelsier’s question caught him by surprise. It wasn’t one that he would have expected from the man, but he had a feeling – not for the first time – that he had misjudged him based on their first meeting. The son of Hades, known for holding grudges, had actually managed to find respect for the man who had killed him. The people in Nico’s world would have laughed. He was supposed to be big and scary and not one for making friends or even looking at people like they could be his friend. There was a reason that he kept people at a distance. You couldn’t be hurt by someone’s death if you didn’t care about them in the first place. Deep down, he knew that wasn’t going to work for him now. “Depends on the room,” he said after a moment. “There was one room and you walked in, and the person you walked in with… it seemed like they were your worst enemy. You felt this… this rage, and you didn’t think twice before you attacked. I walked in with a close friend and…” he shuddered at the memory. “We blinked out before we hurt each other too badly, but still. There have been other rooms, though, where there didn’t seem to be any other options. Rooms where the House threatened to blink in friends or family members and hurt them if you didn’t start killing. I got lucky in that one,” he admitted, staring over the edge of a cliff like it might actually be less scary than what he was thinking about in the moment. “I died before I had to kill anyone. I got close, though.” Nico’s jaw clenched. He knew Kelsier was no stranger to killing, but it was one thing to kill someone you thought was an enemy, and quite another to kill because you perceive it as your only option. He wondered if maybe he had a responsibility to tell Kelsier things like this before ending up in another room with him, but to be fair… they hadn’t actively chosen to do a room before ending up here. He was grateful for the almost change in subject, though also a bit surprised. Why not? He’d proven he had done some bad things in his life, and he was technically noble, if you considered who his father was. And even if it was Minos, he had tortured a soul. “How are you so sure you were wrong?” Nico asked after a moment. Surely the room they had been in wasn’t enough to prove that. “People in my world who have known me for much longer than you still aren’t certain.” Something in his gaze flashed like a challenge. It was too late to scare Kelsier, to convince him that Nico was too much of a force of darkness to be reckoned with, to try to ward him off. But that was one of the few weapons Nico had in his arsenal for a situation like this, and it was easier to pretend that this wasn’t going to end in friendship. To pretend that he could still protect himself and Kelsier. The mask dropped after a few moments, though, as tangible relief flooded Nico’s expression. He was still terrified, but somehow the assurance that he wouldn’t be dropped made it better. “Yes,” he admitted quietly, not looking at Kelsier. “That’s why I’m afraid of heights.” And Kelsier already knew the reason he was afraid of touch. But the next comment jolted him out of that thought, almost making him laugh with the simple ridiculousness of it. “That’s a matter of perspective,” Nico murmured, amusement glimmering under his fear. “Their dad ate them when they were born.” It was easy to forget, sometimes, that most people in the House didn’t have a solid grasp on Greek mythology. Or how messed up families tended to get when the gods were all immortal and all somehow related. “I think you’ll find I’m only getting started on my family’s drama,” he added, forcing himself to stand up straight. His heart plummeted down to his feet, but he closed his eyes and forced himself to remain calm. He’d faced worse than this. He’d faced much worse than this, and Zeus didn’t exist here. He’d be fine. With trembling hands, he took the end of Kelsier’s rope and gave a sharp tug just to make sure that it wouldn’t knock the anchor point down. Not that someone of his weight and strength could really test for Kelsier, who was a good deal taller and probably heavier. Nico couldn’t remember the last time he’d eaten a proper meal. He’d been trying to ease back into it, but he just… wasn’t hungry half the time. “For the record, I won’t drop you either. I swear on the River Styx.” Not that Kelsier knew what that meant. Not that Kelsier understood the weight of any promise at all in Nico’s eyes. He took a deep breath and handed Kelsier his own rope before taking in a deep breath. “Here goes nothing.” He would have liked to do something dramatic like jumping off the cliff and telling himself he’d find handholds, but that wasn’t happening. Not today. Not Nico. He did turn his back on Kelsier, glancing over with wide, frightened eyes to locate his first handhold. And when he found it he turned back around and gave Kelsier a small, hesitant smile before disappearing over the edge. There was something about Kelsier that made it easier to smile. Not that Nico would admit that out loud, ever.

(I hope you get everything worked out soon! What's going on in the house? When I get accepted/finish typing out Arcelia's form, I want to try RPing again. ^^)
(Side note: by 'get accepted', I mean that I'm unsure whether a mod needs to welcome me back into the RP before I can make an RP post or not. ^^')

"Samuel," Myrnin said easily. "G-Game? Sure, but what kind of game?" The way that Eises pronounced his charge's name was amusing, if a bit odd. Myrnin's lips twitched. "I think the name is usual enough in some location. From the sense I'm getting, I'm pretty sure his parents just wanted something slightly more fancy than your average name. I've already known a "Samuel" other than him." Only he was dead. "Yes," said Myrnin, still finding what Eises to be saying slightly amusing. "They are real in my world. I am one. Though that isn't to say that everyone believes they're real." He thought about it for a second before answering, but finally said, "Names tell secrets. When you have secrets older than most of remembered time you like to keep them where they are. In time." It was the best explanation he had. It just ... wasn't done. He nodded at her question. "Humans exist. Maybe the House finds them interesting." He snorted at the suggestion that one of his parents was an animal. Not because he found it funny, but because lately he'd been thinking about his past and everything seemed to trigger it. Including remembering other small boys and their cruelty. "No. No. My parents were both human as far as I am aware." It had been a long time ago, though. He watched Eises' eyes and his curiosity was expressed on his face. "Oh, I'm sure I'd be interested. Why would I freeze, exactly?" He glanced to the side as she asked questions about his own eye color. "Red means I'm angry or hungry," he said. "Or in some cases sad. Black eyes means I'm depressed and feeling weak. White eyes means I'm feeling strong and powerful. If you ever see me with gold eyes ... run." His voice had dropped in volume, but heightened in seriousness. He meant it. He really did. He glanced back, however, after a second. "Yes, we can live forever. If nothing kills us. We can be killed. In a couple ways, at any rate. Vampires are more durable than humans. But yes. I've seen the world change a lot. From people living in small communities to large cities. It had been a very interesting experience." As if reading her mind - which he hadn't - he added, "I don't remember all of it. Or even most of it. But I'm a special case. My memory is not the best." He snorted a bit as she suggested that mind-reading was good in an attack. If he got to the point where he could read as much as he had read from her head he wouldn't need to mind-read to stop an attack. All he would need to do would be to blink wrong. But he didn't say that. "Not going for you?" he asked, sounding shocked. He blinked at her then turned around, ice sculpture animals on his shoulders and head. He waved his arms around at the House. "You have a whole world to explore. You're living. You have friends. I do believe you have many things going for you! Why not think of that, eh?" He clearly was set on not letting it all just slip away when he mentioned a game. He didn't answer that question for several beats, just to be sure Eises was aware he wasn't dropping all their past conversations. Then he said, "Snowball fight? Just a suggestion. I seem to have many icy allies already."

Sam | Living Room A small boy appeared in the living room. For a second, he seemed unsteady, then he adjusted his stance and brushed his slightly curly hair behind his ear. Sam felt a bit disconcerted, but he tried not to let that show in his expression. Instead, he looked around the living room, checking to see whether or not anyone was there. So far, there wasn't. It was just the bookcase, the couches, a couple of tables and the beanbags. Sam glanced toward the door out into the hallway before approaching the beanbags. Slowly, he lowered himself into one of them, testing out its firmness. (Feel free to join in anyone. This is just a starter. )

(Ouch. I have that as well, come to that. Though I have one page drafted thus far. I have to write an essay analyzing my writing, so that's fun. What's your essay on, if you don't mind me asking?
Oof. I see what you mean. I work as an English tutor at my school. It has its ups and downs. Is it at least a fast food place with good food?)

And no I wish. It's just McDonald's:/ )

Ouch. I'm sorry to hear that. I hope that you'll get a more interesting job soon. <3 )

[ Arcelia || Living Room || mintedstar/fur ]Arcelia ran, paws kicking up snow as she dashed through the blizzard. The world was so white that she couldn't tell whether it was day or night. On a day like this, she normally would've huddled inside her cave, where it was safe and warm. However, she was starving. The constant rumbling of her stomach reminded her of her one goal: food. If it was hard for anyone to see anything, then it would have made it easier for her to steal. In addition, nobody would have expected it. Who in their right mind would be out here anyways? she thought. Suddenly, Arcelia collided with a bush. The blizzard was so bad that she hadn't even seen it prior to the run-in. Everything was completely covered in a cloud of white. Her body was sent tumbling through undergrowth and snow as she lost her footing and fell. She tried as best as she could to regain her balance, but it was of no use. Just then, she bumped into a rather large object that kept her from rolling further. She expected it to be a tree or a rock, but instead, as she looked up to see what she'd rolled into, her eyes were met with a bookcase. And that wasn't all - it felt warmer here than in the woods. "What in Galsreim?" she spoke to herself. Had she somehow ended up in another dragon's den or a human's house? As her eyes darted around the room, her confusion grew. This looked to be a human home, but there was no crash damage in any of the walls, where she should have rolled through. She didn't have much time to wonder about it, as her confusion was replaced with dread the second she saw a human boy sitting in one of the beanbags. Oh no. I'm doomed. There was no way he couldn't have heard her crash into his house and bang into one of his bookcases. She had to run away. She had to hide. But instead, she stood there, frozen. I'm done for, she thought, heart racing inside her chest. Would the boy get his father? Her white eyes stared at the boy, wide with fear and worry.

Sam | Living Room For a second, Sam too was frozen in his seat. He watched as Arcelia ran into the bookcase, blinking several times in surprise. Then, slowly, he got up. He hesitated a second further, then took several steps forward and looked Arcelia in the face, eyes a bit wide. "Are you alright?" The bookcase seemed to have escaped a lot of damage, at any rate. There was large piles of snow everywhere. Sam looked over those as well, interested. He crouched, putting one of his small hands onto a couple of the patches. Cold. He hadn't seen snow before, had he? He glanced at Arcelia again. "Are you know?" he asked. It seemed likely, from how frozen she was. "This is the Paradox House."
