No one said Spottedleaf so at least I won't be exaggerating when I say I'm the only one who likes her. ._. I like sweet and gentle cats and have sympathy for her since she wasn't strong enough to stay away from Firestar.

I like Jayfeather myself. I was a big fan of Squirrelflight when she was an apprentice and a lot of people thought she was annoying at the time. I even think Bumblestripe could be a cool character and was pretty disappointed that Dovewing didn't choose him.

Didn't Vicky say that Spottedleaf's heart, or at least claimed, was just to explain why Thistleclaw went to the Dark Forest? Imo it was so forced and dumb in my opinion. Thistleclaw was an ambitious battle hungry cat, but a ****phile?? I still don't think Vicky even had that in mind when she wrote that novella and just rolled with it after the backlash. The Erins have been scraping the bottom of the barrel over Thistleclaw's character since Bluestar's SE, and still did him unjustly in the end. Thistleclaw being a ****philia was the reason why he went to the Dark Forest. It's the whole point of the book. He also really enjoyed being an ambitious, battle-hungry warrior in it. Imo it's dumb, and I still refuse to acknowledge such a dumb reasoning when the Erins have way worse age gaps, and Spottedleaf was already an apprentice by the time they were even implied. Like...?? We've seen a lot of Warrior x Apprentice relationships like Dust x Fern, Squirrel x Bramble, and even Ragged x Yellow, where the relationship is implied while one is still an apprentice. I find it hard to believe that Thistleclaw went to the DF just because of a hinted, but never happened, relationship between him and Spottedleaf, over him choosing the DF, or because he was a battle-hungry cat that trained there in the first place. Spottedleaf's Heart feels so detached from the warrior timeline, it's ridiculous. |

I like Tigerstar 1 and Darktail. No other villains in this series have come close to their development, motivation, and how they came extremely close to kill off the Clans for good.
