[ @zeb: yea totally! what you got in mind? I think I still have some of the same plots I've always had on the first page if you want to look at them, but a couple might be new to you idk ]
He couldn't help but smile back at her. If he didn't, she would notice something was off. Cassie. He liked it. Jupiter, however, he wasn't sure about yet. It was a fitting name somehow. She became real friendly real fast at the mention of room numbers. He didn't like how light-hearted she sounded, talking about something so series. Anton didn't believe in fate. How could it be someone's destiny to die before they had a chance to see the world? It didn't seem to make sense for her to be ripped away from him because it was her "fate", no. There was no such thing. He felt the same about luck, though if he did believe it existed, he was probably the unluckiest person in the world. The most unfortunate.
Anton wasn't sure what he would have said to her, had he been given the chance. A flash of fur appeared down the hall, racing toward them. Cassie stepped to one side and Anton dodged to another, not keen on falling more than once a day. It brushed past them and a guy was quick to follow, before realizing he wouldn't catch up, and yelling after it. The Furret stopped and glared at its owner, but he didn't seem bothered by its fierce stare. He turned his attention to Cassie and Anton, something Anton didn't exactly want, but then he introduced himself as the base leader. Of course. Cassie introduced herself and Anton had no choice but to do the same, adding, "Anton. Nice to meet you," before there was a disturbance of feet down the hall as trainers gathered with their Pokémon, waiting for Cameron with the Furret.
The Nyctus? Anton knew that's why they were there, to help, but whereas he saw fear in some of their eyes, he felt strangely empty. He hadn't been so affected by the gang in Cianwood, so their proximity in the forest wasn't really his problem. However, he knew they couldn't just let the Nyctus get away with taking any more towns. There was a possibility they would cross the ocean to get to his home eventually. This was best, coming here to fight them before they got too far. Lost in his thoughts, he almost didn't notice the group leave, until Cassie spoke. Anton glanced at her. She looked slightly distracted, as if she couldn't believe they were already here. He had to say something.
"Do you think we should help them?" He asked, knowing what the answer would be. They didn't have the capability of finding their rooms, they wouldn't stand a chance against the Nyctus, not without a lick of training or knowledge. That didn't matter to Anton. People were in danger, he thought he had to help. He was uncertain, trapped between two sides of his mind. Anton had made the proposal, crazy as it was, and looked to her to make the decision.
