Sid stared intently at the drawn representation of a toothbrush, willing it to come into existence. Feeling the familiar tingle of his power activating, a small smile crept along his face, "almost there...!" Accompanying the feeling on his skin Sid's eyes began to glow a bright purple, lightening the page and the otherwise shadowy walls around him. With the shape of the toothbrush held in his mind, Sid slowly turned to face the table beside him; he hoped to keep his precious sketchbook out of harms way. As his growing power peaked, he threw open the gates and let loose a torrent of energy. BANGHearing the all too familiar sound of another creation going arwy, Sid threw himself to the ground, sketchbook clutched to his chest. A moment later, without feeling the concussive force which typically came along with a failure of his power, Sid glanced up in confusion. Getting to his feet, he glanced over at the scorch mark and found that there wasn't one. Instead, he saw a boring old toothbrush in its place and quickly came to realize that the thunderous sound had come from another source, "a gunshot? Not again..." Slowly peeking out the door, Sid found that he was alone on the rooftop. Yelling could be heard from below as he approached the roof's edge and glanced down into the adjacent alley. Within, he saw a group of the same dark-clothed men that had made his life a living hell for the twenty years. "What are they up to?" He thought quizzically, seeing them plod around a dumpster in the otherwise empty alley. A few minutes later they angrily left the alley back into the street. His interest piqued, Sid quickly packed his stuff (Not that he had much) into his backpack and climbed down off the roof and into the alley. ((Here's the last thing Sid was doing. We can just ignore the part about him investigating the gunshot.))

Mili perched on the edge of the hotel rooftop, breathing hard. Her eyes scanned the streets below, her six story height allowing her to make out most forms- if not clearly. She looked over the- there. Three men moved out of an alleyway. The alleyway she had just been in. Mili sighed. She was safe for now. But she knew that at least two of these men carried guns, and the third... Well, she wasn't sure what he was there for. But they were chasing her, and that was all she needed to know. Time for a little distraction, she thought as the men made their way across the road. She closed her eyes as they began to glow white, focusing on herself. Then, she reached out to the second man's mind, gently taking hold of his vision. She kept everything the same at first, so as not to tip him off. Then, suddenly, she made the ghost of herself turn out of an alley down the street and race for the men. "There she is!" the man called, taking his gun from his hip. The other men looked at him, confused. The man took a shot, but ghost-Mili dodged, leaping out of the way. His bullet hit the wall, causing a nice eruption of stone. Mili let a small smile make it's way unto her face as her ghost leaped in front of the third man. The second man raised his gun, pointing it straight at the ghost. "Wait!" the third man cried as the gun moved towards his head. "What are you-"
BAM
The third man sank to the ground as the bullet hit. Several civilians ran screaming from the scene. Mili let her grip on the second man go, turning her head disdainfully away from the gore. The man, now free of his control, looked down in horror at what he had done. The first man raised his gun, pointing it at the second man. "W-wait-" He tried to explain as his comrade raised his gun to his head. "I-it wasn't-" A few seconds later, he too fell. The first man re-holstered his gun, looking down at the dead men with something like pity in his eyes. "She got you," he said. "If you're that weak, you can't be trusted." The man turned away, quickly making his way down the street. Mili breathed a sigh of relief. She had tried to control the first man before, but he had seen straight through her illusion. Something was different about that one... Two down. One to evade.
(If this isn't okay, say so. From what I was getting there were a lot of men, so I didn't think killing two would be a big deal? Idk. Let me know. Also I changed Mili's 'power' eye color to white. The more I imagine it, the more I like it better that way.)
(Actually, Mili just had a gun fire. If you wanted to, Sidney could have heard her bullet.)

((That sounds fine.))
Hearing gunfire in the street, Sid glanced up from his sketchbook and scanned his surroundings, seeing a girl perched on the rooftop across from his. His interest piqued, Sid sidled over to the edge of his rooftop and glanced into the street. Laid out before him was a highly peculiar scene, two of the guards which had been prowling the streets searching for him laid bleeding on the street, shot by their comrade. Thoroughly confused, Sid glanced up at the girl adjacent to himself and saw that her eyes were glowing in the same manner as his. Shocked and slightly hopeful at the though that there was another person like him, Sid stepped back off of the ledge of his roof and started waving, hoping to attract her attention.

Mili quickly took notice if the boy across the street. He seemed to be looking right at her... Shivering slightly, she quickly moved towards the back of the building. At this point, she couldn’t tell friend from foe. As she reached the back ledge, she carefully lowered herself down to the fire escape she had ascended on. The old metal was rickety, but stable. Quickly, Mili ran down the six flights of stairs, popping out in the back alleyway. She moved to the side of the building, peering out at the boy. He was still there. Luckily. Mili took a step backwards, concentrating. She reached out to the boy's brain, gently taking hold. She formed a shadow of herself that stepped out from the side of the building, beckoning to the boy. As soon as the shadow popped back behind the building, Mili prepared herself, waiting for him to turn the corner.

((Wait, so where did she place the shadow and where is she?)) (Yeah sorry it's kind of confusing lol. She's lurking behind the building, while her shadow is popping out from the side. She doesn't know where the other guards are so she doesn't want to risk popping out herself.)

((I'm going to have her power work on him because it's his first time encountering it.))
Seeing the girl leave, Sid stifles a shout, realizing that there were dangerous people in the street below. Quickly pulling on his backpack, he glanced back down into the street and saw the girl pop out from behind the building. Sensing something off about her but unable to pin down the feeling, Sid reluctantly climbed down off of his roof. Quickly throwing on his hood, Sid touches down at street level. Glancing around warily in order to identify any possible threats, he begins to walk in the direction from which he saw the girl. Approaching the edge of the building, Sid turns the corner expecting the worst.

The thought had crossed Mili's mind to try and jump the man when he turned the corner. She didn't know who he was, and, more likely than not, he wasn't friendly. Yet, she doubted she could take him down. Her breath caught as he turned the corner, her whole body tense. Mili took a step back, hands clenching. "Who are you?" she asked, trying to make herself seem bigger than she was. "Why were you staring at me?"

Seeing the girl just standing there immediately put Sid on guard, but he decided to go along with it for the time being. Taking a step closer to her, he put on a practiced smile and adopted a non-aggressive pose, "I saw what you did to those guards," he said chuckling, "well done. Now, this may be hard to believe, but I'm just like you. I have a power too." Stepping within arms reach, he leaned towards her and stuck an arm slightly behind her head. Concentrating hard, Sid willed a stuffed teddy bear to appear in his hand. With a 'pop' it was there and he pulled his arm back, revealing his creation, "i'm surprised that you were able to fit this behind your ear," Sid said with a smirk, his eyes glowing a bright purple.

(I'm gonna have to shower really quick after this, but I'll be back.)
Mili smiled, lowering her guard slightly. If he really was like her, then he couldn't be a threat... right? She reached out, gently taking the stuffed bear from his hands. "It reminds me if my old bear," she said, looking back up at the man. "Callie. I had to leave her behind." Mili paused for a minute. How will I know?she thought. How will I know he's on my side? If I show him my power, I'll be useless. He'll see right through it... And if he is with them, that'd mean my downfall. "How long have you been... on the move?" she asked, trying to decipher his intentions.

((Alrighty.))
"I'm glad you like it," Sid replied slotting his fingers into the straps of his backpack and leaning back on his heels. "I've been on the run for as long as I can remember," he said with a shrug, "my parents sold me out and I've been on my own ever since." The thought of his past darkened Sid's mood and a portion of his cheery facade faded. "those *******..." he cursed under his breath then glanced back up the girl in front of him with the same smile as before. "Enough of that. I'm Sid by the way," he said, extending a hand to shake.

"Mili," she replied, gently accepting Sid's hand. Her hand felt dwarfed inside his, and she subconciously tensed up again. This man was at least 2 years older than her- maybe more. How did she know he was even telling the truth? If he could change from swearing to smiling in a minute, how could she tell who he really was? Maybe he wasn’t real at all. Maybe he could just be an illusion, something reverse engineered from- Mili gave herself a quick shake, trying to disperse the memories. She decided the best approach would be a blunt one- tell the truth, then gauge by his reaction how he felt of the subject. "How do I know I can trust you?" she asked suddenly. "How do I know that they haven't... done something to you?"

With a strong grip he shook her hand and then took a step back, crossing his arms, "well i'm not sure. I supposed there isn't really a way for you to know if you can trust me, but what reason would I have to approach you like this instead of using more violent means?" He replied, flexing his arms with a grin. Taking a step toward her, Sid looked her up and down, "I could say the same things to you! How do I know I can trust you? How do I know that they haven't... done something to you?" He queried, mimicking her tone then smirking.

(hey sorry I haven’t been on. Working and starting college classes have taken up time.)
Mikel halted as soon as he felt Mary’s grip on his arm. He frowned and turned around. “I mean, I’ll be careful. But, if you’d rather wait, then that’s fine too.” He sat back on the bed and yawned. What Mary had said scared him, just a bit. It was dangerous. And who knew what was out there, waiting for them in the dark? They shouldn’t go alone. However, that didn’t stop him from making up his mind. Once they’d done all they could, and the other two were asleep, he’d have to get out and…do something. Of course, as long as everything turned out alright, he’d be back before Mary or Val woke up the next morning. But, he just needed it. The feeling of the night air in his lungs. He was so used to it. Not having it circulating through him was beginning to keep him hyperventilating. He tried to hide this fact from Mary, trying to decipher his own thoughts and make it out to be only a request more as a certain demand. She didn’t need to know. No one did. He wasn’t sure how she was able to use her powers, exactly, but he didn’t want to take the chance. “I’ll take a shower next, and then we can head out.”

She sighed, running a hand through her hair. "... I honestly don't know if they've done something to me..." She shrugged, quickly pushing down the emotions that threatened to roll in. "I guess I could... 'demonstrate' my power for you. If it would help."

"Hey now don't start crying on me," Sid said with a chuckle. Crossing his arms and glancing around them, he shrugged, "nah. I believe you. I'm sure that you would've hit me over the head by now, and I saw what you made those guys do to each other back there... how'd you manage that? Is that your power?" Sid queried, raising an eyebrow in interest.
