So I've always been interested in writing warriors fan-fiction, heck I even posted a couple back on the old forums, but I've had this idea for a while now and I was wondering if anyone would be interested in it.
~The Idea~
I would like to hook up with a small (3-5) group of writers to write about a few clans. We wouldn't all be writing one fan-fiction together though, instead we'd each write one-shots and shorts stories to grow the realm (these don't need to be during the same time as the others!). We would help each other improve our writing skills and hopeful become good writing buddies. Then, if we ever felt like it, we could take the world we've built an write a fan-fic, whether together or solo. The main reason behind this is to grow a good base before flying off into long-term writing land, and, of course, improve your writing. So if you find this interesting scroll down and help build the world, and even if you don't want to be in the group, you could still help out!
~The World~
Behind every great story is a beautifully constructed world. Any idea, either big or small, could be used to help create a masterpiece. So if you have time, or are planning on joining the group, come drop by and help with the world-building! List of Ideas:
-We could have the clans living on an island, where the only way off is a land-bridge that appears only in the dry seasons.
- We need a specific number of clans, I was thinking three, but if you have a better idea, share it!
- There are cats with powers, but also ones without. Only powered cats can become leaders and both groups dislike each other.

I was thinking of having cats with powers that correspond to their clans. I know that Kestrelpaw had some more ideas, so I'll have to get her to come look at this. She's probably reading the new Harry Potter for the twelfth time.

What if some of the cats have powers, but some don't? And maybe each group (powers and non-powers) don't like the other half much? I don't know, but that seems like an interesting plot idea.

OOH! OOH! YES! I wanna help! I had an idea while back where there were clans that lived on an island (or group of islands), that sounds kinda similar. If you have a land-bridge, maybe you could have a group of rouges that come to hang out with the clans when the land-bridge appears (kinda like Windclan used to do) and maybe sometimes they stay to be in one of the clans?
EDIT : And for the powers, I like the idea of some cats not having them but some cats do. Like, maybe the cats with powers get to be leaders or something and the cats with no powers aren't able to ever be a leader or something important. That would be a cool short story for part of it.

Tales from the Forgotten Isle.
That way it can be more of a collection of short stories then transformed later into one big one.

Personally, I think they should have kind of exotic names. Like maybe if the islands are rainforesty then the clan names could be like something relating to it? Birds of paradise? What do you guys think?

I don't know. Seeing as how the island cats live on an island they might not be exposed to that many rogues. Do you guys like The Wanderers, or something along those lines?
EDIT: I was thinking one big island, though we could have small ones that aren't used by the clans.

OR maybe the power cats were in charge, but one of them got out of hand or something. Using his/her powers for nefarious purposes. And the clan/s would have been able to stop them, but power endowed cats would be looked down upon or feared. |

Yeah, the cats could be wondering if they'll even get powers (If we're going to use that idea). So it's one island with possibly some islands surrounding it that the clans don't use (that could add plot because maybe apprentices try to sneak onto them or something) and it is possibly a rain forest. <We need to decide that. |

We could assign one person clans (how each clan works), another person on history(for each clan and the forgotten isles in general), and another on territories (maybe to make a map and describe where each clan lives).

I think maybe one of the clans could have a big waterfall in their territory (I imagine rain forests with waterfalls)
I tried to find some names for clans in the rainforest, but I can't find many good names.
