'Ello mates! Welcome to my thread. This is going to be an action/drama jump-in one x one. If you're looking to RP with me, all I ask is that you're literate, about like 20 lines at least per post, and descriptive. Thanks for understanding!
My guy - Lucifer 'Luce' (Pronounced Loose) Fawkes - 18 years old
A runaway criminal outcast with a metal arm.
The night was calm but tense as usual. The wind was sending a slight breeze across the empty streets of the city, and a hooded guy seemed to be the only one enjoying it. It was past midnight, and the hooded guy was all alone pacing through the streets rather quickly. The guy, Luce, was an infamous runaway who stole things. He had ran away because of his family who treated him horribly, and had began a life of crime after that. Luce started off slow by stealing from people, then from gas stations, then eventually stealing from wherever was nearby. He only stole things like money and food and other necessities, but he was wanted by the police anyway. Life just wasn't fair, was it? Eventually, the police began using force to try and stop him. In an act of self-defense, Luce also resorted to violence to protect himself. Although, the police took it the wrong way. That night a couple hours later, he found himself being chased. After running into a dead end, he got in a fight with an officer after he felt like his life was in danger. He then remembered silence as he felt the officer's body go limp. It was a complete accident and he didn't mean it, but he panicked and took off running past the other officers. Everything was happening too quick, and he knew nobody would understand that it was all a misunderstanding, so the only things left was to run. But, Luce was surrounded once again by unfamiliar people wearing dark suits. He felt he needed to fight, so he rammed into one officer as hard as he could, trying to get past them. Luce froze in shock when the next thing he saw was blood, as well as his arm on the ground. That all happened long ago, but he remembered it like it was yesterday. He would never forget it, the guilt of him taking a life engraved in his mind. After that his memories were all blurred, but he could hear people talking and all he could see were bright lights on him. He wasn't able to move, being strapped down to a table. When he woke up after that whole ordeal, he noticed something was different. Instead of having no arm, he had a metal one. Then day after day and eventually month after month they would do experiments on him, which lead back to where he was now. Luce, a product of the government. He had overheard when he first arrived here that the experiments were to try and make him suitable for upcoming wars, like have him feel no pain and cause him to be stronger than any other human or animal, and ever since he dreaded waking up to a brand new day. Luce's eyes shot open and he quickly sat up, glancing around. He had dreamed about the 'accident' once again, leaving him in a cold sweat. Sure enough, he had woke up in the same small, compact room with white walls and a hard, uncomfortable bed. He plopped back down on his bed unenthusiastically and reached up towards the ceiling with his metal arm, clenching his fist. He guessed it was morning, but he hadn't seen light or breathed in fresh air in a long time. Instead he was kept in this facility like an animal, causing him to sigh and let his arm hang over the side of the bed. The thin sheet was sprawled over him and he glanced over to the little window on the door, hearing voices. He stood up, walking over to the door and glancing out, trying to listen. But the words spoken were muffled for that reason. They were going to experiment on him very soon, and he knew it. But today was different however. Today he was determined to escape, no matter the cost.
A couple hours later, the door opened from the outside like usual and Luce sprung to action, making up a plan as he went. He immediately attacked the scientist, punching them hard enough so they blacked out before they had time to react. He then took off running down the long hall, passing some scientists. A siren went off, meaning there was going to be a lockdown. He turned a corner, then another corner, running faster than he ever thought he could, fueled by the fear of being caught and punished. The gate was coming down over the door he needed to get through to exit, so he powered through it, ramming his shoulder into the glass door and causing it to shatter. He ducked under the gate and continued running, feeling warm crimson liquid run down his body from his shoulder which he used to shatter it. Even then, he still wasn't out. There was one more tall gate he needed to get past, but it was impossible to run through as it was more than halfway shut and too far away. So with quick thinking and a decision he hated, he decided to climb the fence that was about ten feet high and get over the barbed wire. He ran towards the fence and started climbing, but didn't go unnoticed. Some agents spotted him, shouts and gunshots splitting the silence of the air. Luce gritted his teeth in pain as his leg was shot, but it wasn't nearly as bad as before thanks to the experiments. Hey, at least they helped a little. He had gone through hell and back, experiencing excruciating pain that almost always caused him to black out to try and get him to have a high pain tolerance. He made it to the top of the fence, but he was obviously struggling. Now for the barbed wire. He inhaled, then held his breath without realizing as he grabbed the barbed wire with his metal arm and heaved himself up and over it. Luce knew he couldn't go unhurt. He had scraped himself on his hand, arm, and legs before getting over. He lost his balance on his footing and fell back, landing on his back on the ground with a loud thud, all the air in his lungs escaping him. He hadn't noticed that the government had stopped shooting as was instead trying to open the gate. After taking some precious time to regain his lost breath, Luce forced himself to stand up and started running, holding his shoulder with his other hand and limping as quickly as he could into the trees.
Luce made it into the forest of trees and brush, where he eventually lost the agents after hiding for what seemed like ages and heading far right. He eventually made it to a city, emerging from the forest and stepping into a park. By that time the sun had gone down and it was dark once more, so the park was closed thankfully. Luce collapsed into the grass on his stomach as a wave of nausea overcame him, and he stayed there, staring at the city ahead of him as he continued bleeding all over. He thought this was where he was going to die; but maybe, just maybe, something good would happen. Luce grinned to himself, finally free from that horrible place. His tattered clothes the government had gave him, which consisted of some worn out jeans and a white t-shirt were now stained with his blood. He looked like a wreck, and he doubted anyone in their right mind would come to his aid. After all, everyone hated him already. Although, maybe some people still had kindness left, even if it was just a little.
Oh and one more thing! If you've made it this far, thanks! If you do decide to jump in, you could also be a runaway criminal outcast, a government agent, a regular person, or whatever you want! Let your imagination run wild. :3
