XD Do you think I read your stuff just because we're forum friends? Never. That's not how I work. I read your stuff because I know I will love the characters and the plot will draw me in. Born of Blood was amazing, and I found myself thinking about the characters a year after the story had ended. Same with the Path Less Traveled.
Sure, I'll read something if someone suggests it to me, but in the end, whether I like it or not has nothing to do with knowing the person. I like your work because you have good characters, ones you can relate to.

No need to thank me. I don't pity read, it's a waste of both my and the author's time. I read for enjoyment and if I can, to throw out helpful comments or wishes on what I'd like to see next. I expect the same if people read my stuff.  Just keep writing, Sea. Have you checked your views or something like that? A common ratio is this: for ever 100 posts you get 1,000 views. If you're over that, then you have a bunch of silent readers or readers who have joined the forums yet (as I believe it counts views for Guests as well). |

I honestly never really check views, because then people could just click and then click away without actually reading. If people post then holy crud I'm happy. Because that's proof they like it and want me to continue. Sorry, but I'm kind of really pessimistic with my own stuff being enjoyable ^^' But I'm still thanking you anyway!

*shrugs* Eh, I like to be optimistic and that they just can't/don't have the time to post. I know I was like that before I joined the forums. I was one of those people who read a whole lot of the fan fictions, but wasn't a member, so I couldn't say I liked it and later, as a member, was intimidated by the authors or was just to lazy to say I liked it.
Never know why I changed into the type of fan I am now... Just happened. Got over my shyness of talking to the authors and got over the laziness. But that was how I used it be. Never meant I didn't love a fic to the moon and back, it was just how I reacted to it.
Now I look back and criticize younger me... She had the chance to get to know those awesome authors...and blew it.

I personally would love to talk to my fans and get to know them, know their thoughts on the story and characters, and generally just put them in the 'fans' section. Not even kidding, the moment someone actually posts to fan them I get the biggest smile on my face and get, like, so bubbly with excitement. XD I go from being 18 to 10 in 0.0002 seconds.

Most authors do love when the fans talk to them. Never seemed to help younger me to know that. I mean, that might have been because my spelling was so bad that my sentences were fractured and spelling was awful. I couldn't really chat with anyone and you were considered a really good author if I posted 'fan me' on your topic and you never heard from me again. I still read what you would post, but never considered more might be expected of me. Well, more the fact that they'd like to hear from me again, that is.
(Alright, that's creepy in and of itself. The song I have playing matches the movements of your siggy gif. O.O Like seriously, that is so odd. )

I get ideas randomly while doing other things. Taking a walk, boom story idea. Lying in bed after just waking up, story idea. In the shower, got a story idea. My shower thoughts are fanfiction XD

I plan as I write and if an awesome plot twist turns up I write it. That's how Hollyleaf ended up being in the afterlife throughout her whole POV and how Soot ended up being Death catified. It was just the idea the struck me. XD How do you plan for those random inspiration bursts? |

I never plan for inspiration bursts. I literally just keep trying to repeat it in my head until I can either write it out or take a note, but it's hard because my mind wants to go further and in more detail to make it all harder to remember X3

Your the second person to notice. :3 They are given out by the mods. This one was given to me by Roswell. They used to be given out more, but now they are only given for special events and thing. (I've heard that the mod ShiningDiamond is planning to hold event. So when they are held you can win one there.) Otherwise, they are given out for special occasions. Such as mine. I ended up posting the millionth post (in a RP called We're Stuck Together Now) on the forums and got given the special title. I've also know forumers who asked for one getting something like it. Options being: your name being in a color other than white (Sea Cat has pale blue), special titles (whole bunch of SC member and leader have these), or your stars being a color other than yellow/white/blue (a forumer called Rescue Cat has one star that was orange for a short time when they were an Elder). |
