Not going to bother making this fancy, plus I'm on mobile lol. So, I want to try becoming more active here on the WFF again. That's why I'm going to have a little contest, just like the good old days. We don't have many anymore, and I miss seeing them around. I'll most likely do only one contest for now, and will hopefully have results posted by Monday or Tuesday. With that said, I'll be taking the first five fics posted.
Rules are simple: Just follow the basic forum rules and be respectful.
Form: Just post your fic & title together to enter.
Judging: I'll be looking at the grammar, plot, characters, title, and layout. Grading Rubric: /20 Title /20 Grammar/Spelling /20 Plot /20 Characters /20 Layout /100 Total
Prizes: 1st & 2nd Place- Review, Banner, Fan 3rd-5th Place- Fan

Okay, ~Sapphire~, here is your break-down: 19/20 Title 18/20 Grammar/Spelling 18/20 Plot 18/20 Characters 20/20 Layout 93/100 The title is very original, and fits the story pretty well. I had noticed a few minor grammar mistakes, but nothing major. The plot and characters are very interesting--I especially like Sycamore! And the layout was really well done. I don't have too much to critique, haha |

Brownie here's yours~ 18/20 Title 18/20 Grammar/Spelling 19/20 Plot 18/20 Characters 13/20 Layout 86/100 The main thing that took your score down was the layout. While I hate this part of judging--mainly because I look mostly at the story itself--I feel it is still an important part of judging. While your layout is straight-forward, and you can find things just fine, I feel it was a bit lacking? I see layouts as sort of a fanfiction's book cover. Readers get their first impression upon clicking your story by how you have it set up. When a layout is pleasing to the eye, a lot of readers become more interested in scrolling through your set up. Honestly your fanfic was great, and the only issue was the layout. I hope that helps at all! Feel free to ask any questions you may have c:
