IC :: It was a simultaneously happy and sad day for Shiva. It was a beautiful day out, luckily, with chairs scattered out in the back of the school. She shifted in her seat, waiting for the ceremony to start. Her eyes were trained on the front of the decorated area. Perhaps she was a little bored waiting, the breeze of warm weather being blocked by her oldest brother sitting next to her. And next to him Tabby, who Shiva was content not acknowledging was there. After all, she wasn't close with any of Shiva's other brothers- all of which were graduating today. That was the exciting part. Valentine, Joel, Beau, all three were finally getting to graduate. (And even better, around a week from today was all of their birthdays- including Maverick and Shiva's.)
It wasn't just her brother's though- Norman and Thaddeus were going to be leaving this year as well. Which is exactly where the slightly saddening part of it came from- it meant almost all of her friends and family would officially be gone from her school, and next year she'd have to start it alone. The only reason she was not focusing on that was because there was a summer after this day where she wouldn't have to worry.
She could see some familiar faces in different seats, which was a relief. And now they were all really waiting for the ceremony to start. The sooner they did, the sooner everyone could actually celebrate the fact the seniors in the school were done with high school forever- and technically adults. Taking in a deep breath, she watched as the principal of the school walked towards the podium centered in front of everyone on a makeshift stage. Immediately, Shiva straightened up in excitement. "Welcome parents, siblings, friends and family of the seniors about to graduate..."
She admitted to droning off, she didn't care about the major speeches. She only decided to pay attention when the names began to be called, focusing on the front, waiting for those she knew.

IC Was it wrong, that Ives was late to the graduation of his own boyfriend? Probably. He felt like it was. However, he hadnβt been able to get work off, and well, he was just lucky that he had slipped in before any of his friends got their diploma. He looked around, eyes glazing over the rows of people. There were the Walters, near the front, awkwardly sitting nest to Hazel and Lucas. Klause was there too, though the other dog hybrid looked quite bored. Further from that, he could see Shiva, Maverick, and Tabby. Okay, so there were a few people that he knew here, that was good. But...where did he sit?
Ives stood there, looking over to the line of graduates. Norman caught his eye for a minute, sending him a look, as if questioning what took him so long. Ives would have to fill him in later. Beau and Thaddeus were also there, with Beau looking half dead on his feet. But hey, at least he had showed up to his own graduation. Ives would admit that for a little bit there, he thought Beau might not come.
The wolf hybrid hadnβt been doing well lately.
Ives wasnt as perceptive as Norman. But it was easy to tell that instead of getting better from his experience, Beau only seemed to be getting worse. He hadnβt been near as social these last few months, always running off for some reason or another. Ives was also fairly certain he hadnβt been eating well. Beau survived mostly off of caffeine and leftovers at this point. It was all worrrying. But maybe...just maybe, graduating would help him. At least then he wouldnβt have to worry about school.
Beau wasnβt the only one that had changed. Thaddeus had been a lot friendlier lately. Not at the point he had been, almost three years ago, but he was opening up more. A month or so ago, Ives had sat both Thaddeus and Norman down and told them to work through their problems. It had worked...well, it had worked well enough for the two to consider each other friends again. Even if their relationship involved a lot of insults being thrown one way or another.
Then there was Norman, Who, well, he had also opened up more. He seemed less stressed out, less serious, more...genuine. Turns out, a genuine Norman was a big softy, that talked a lot, could act rather silly at times, and was actually a bit more sensitive than Ives was used to. It was a nice change, if anything else. Ives was happy for it.
Eventually, he just sighed, spotting an open chair behind Shiva, and went to go sit there, squeezing through the rows as he muttered an apology or two, eventually sitting down and reaching over to tap Shiva on the shoulder. βPsst, hey, Shiv, have I missed much?β

OOC: Oh I just realised. In relation to Beau, how is Billy. Would she be alive or has she died?
IC: Maverick was of course sitting in one of the chairs, with his sister on one side and his arm around Tabby who was sitting on his other side. He had a happy smile on his face, glad to see his other brothers graduating. He remembered when he was graduating. He had to admit he wasn't good at being the center of attention so he was shy at the time, but it was great when it was all over. It felt refreshing.
Since Maverick and Maddie had rescued Tabby and Feles, Mav had to admit that life was easier. At least it was easier in the aspect of not having to hide Tabby anymore. It certainly helped with Beau he noticed, and although it was still difficult, he liked to at least think it made it a little easier with Shiva too. Though he doubted that. Speaking of Beau, out of all his brothers, Mav's gaze kept falling on him. He really was worrying about him, the poor boy looked about to break. He had noticed the constant disappearances, and he desperately wanted to find out, but now he had a car Mav couldn't just follow him. Though he was now working toward a drivers license, but in the time he would actually get it Beau could be a lot worse.
Among the others standing up the front was Skyler. She was nervous to say the least, her eyes darting around the crowd. Unfortunately for her, she didn't have any family there. Since her father's death, Sky's mother(who I have forgotten the name of) had fallen apart. She wanted to come to Sky's graduation, but she convinced her not too. It probably wouldn't be the best idea. Her auntie Bella though she wasn't so sure about, which was why she was scanning the crowd. Sky actually wasn't doing so well herself over the last few months, she had become more shut off, reserved, and she wasn't as outgoing as she used to be. She was only really happy when she was with the few friends she had. She supposed she was friends with everyone who was on the rescue team, but the people she considered to be her main friends were only Shiva and Thaddeus.
Maverick smiled up at his brothers proudly. Gently he nudged his sister. "You'll be up too there soon enough," he said, trying to be happy in hopes of it rubbing off on her, because he had seen her sort of zone out. However he quickly realised he spoke right over someone else, and he looked back to see the Border Collie hybrid there. "Oh, sorry Ives, I didn't hear you there" he mumbled quietly, turning back to face forward, his shoulders drooping ever so slightly and he let out a silent breath. Maybe he just shouldn't try to say anything.

IC :: Shiva looked between Ives and Maverick quickly, unsure who to respond to first. It took her a minute to even process the words each one said. As Maverick looked away after, Shiva took that as an invitation to focus on Ives. "You have missed a lot of boring talk. Basic introduction of the school and why we are here. Don't worry, you barely made it to see them actually graduate." That was exciting in itself. They were finally getting to the good part. Shiva knew she would recongize some names, but it would still be a while until even one of her main friends would be called.
Having said that she briefly looked towards Maverick, trying to find the words to respond. She couldn't find a way to say anything without it having some sort of negative connotation. Like if she were to say, the sooner I'm up there the sooner I'll be out of your hands, would make it sound bad. After trying to figure out something light-hearted, she chose, "Yeah. But being an adult like all of you doesn't sound nearly as fun." She teased him with her tongue sticking out, shoving him slightly in the seat. This was before the people sitting in front of them turned around with a finger near their mouth.
"Sorry," Shiva squeaked to them, net with rolling eyes as they turned back to watch. Which she supposed she did too to see where they were at. They had started calling people up.
Shiva wondered what it would be like up there. And though her comment about her brothers all being adults wasn't true yet, she was glad it would be soon. Her mind briefly wandered off, reminding herself what she was planning. Which, she was to say excited about-face though she felt a little bad, one giant event (graduation) next to another (the Wolff sibling's birthday) would be hectic she supposed, but she was going to make it work and make it good for her brothers.
