OOC Alright, I will. Gimme a minute, with any luck we can cram it all into one big post.
Yeah? That's awesome! I'm currently almost done with my slug hybrid's design and I love it.
IC Ives gulped. "...Klause, is there...is there anyway that I could just go to my uh, my room and talk to Norman whenever he's uh...free?" Ives asked, needing some alone time to process all of this.
Klause nodded, calling over a random girl that was walking past. "Yo Becky, this guy-" he pointed over at Ives. "Is the other sick guy, can you show him to his room? I gotta show the new people around," he explained, gesturing to the others.
The scientist-Becky, nodded, giving Ives a wary smile. "Of course, follow me. We didn't actually have enough time to prepare two rooms, so you'll have to share with the other one, but we have little curtains you can move around for privacy, it's like a hospital room! Very cozy," she said, trying to remain optimistic as she lead Ives away, though the dog hybrid still didn't say much. He actually looked fairy frozen as far as emotions went.
Klause clapped his hands together, visibly relaxing after Ives left. "Alright then, to the break room?" He asked, already starting off. "I'm pretty sure all of you will wanna talk to Norman after this. So it'll be awhile, but don't worry, we've got great snacks."

IC Once Klause had shut the door, leaving just Norman and his brothers...minus one, Norman instantly shrunk in his seat, avoiding eye contact as he wrapped his tail around himself for either comfort or protection...maybe both. "Are you two going to yell at me too?" He asked, voice quiet.
Kai glanced over at Nikolas, who nodded in a way to signal that Kai could take control. He was better at this anyways, Nikolas could just add his input on occasion. "Norman," Kai started as he focused on his younger brother. "You should have told us, you should have asked if we were okay with this-" he started, promptly getting interrupted by Norman.
"But I knew-" Norman stopped mid sentence when he saw the look Kai gave him. This was his turn to talk, and Norman's turn to listen. So he gave a small, obedient nod, and fell quiet, putting his legs up on the chair and hugging his knees as he looked over at Kai.
"Like I was saying. You should have told us and you should have asked," Kai said, voice tart. "This...this isn't something small, this is a big thing, and what's more upsetting is that you lied to us. We're brothers, Norman. Brothers stick together, they trust each other, they believe in each other, and are always there for each other. What you did, especially the part where you left us, us specifically, out, is not okay," Kai told him, voice a lot more stern yet gentle than Ty's angry yelling.
By now, Norman looked close to tears. Not in a way that he might if someone else had hurt him, but full of guilt, knowing fully well that what he did wasn't right. Kai seemed to notice this, and the red scale freckles faded to a muted blue. "But you know that. Don't you?" He asked, continuing before Norman could answer. "You've probably known that the entire time," he said, slumping back into his seat, rubbing his forehead, a tired blue color rippling through his tail. "So, if you knew, why did you do it?" Kai questioned, looking over at Norman.
Norman looked down, ears bending back as he answered, voice the same small, quiet, whisper that it had been before. "You wouldn't let me do it if I told you..." Norman began carefully. "You would be against it. Because I'm only seventeen, it would be too stressful on me, I wouldn't have time for everything, I might get hurt or involved in something shady, I'd be using money from my mother, who had a lab meant for bad, what's to say mine wouldn't turn out the same? We all experienced what scientists could do, why would I want to being that back?" Norman recited.
Kai and Nikolas glanced at each other, well they had to give it to him, Norman had been spot on with everything he said, that's exactly how they would have responded if Norman had brought it up before.
"...Why is this so important to you?" Kai questioned, voice a lot softer than it had been before. "Why did you have to do this? You didn't have to, no one was asking you to, you didn't need to put this on your shoulders. So why did you?" He asked, more curious than accusing this time.
Norman was silent for a moment, then, he looked up for the first time, looking a little more brave as he answered. "I had to do it. For a lot of reasons. One, because I truly want to help people, I want to make their lives better, to help in a way that could be both beneficial to humans and hybrids...heck, even animals too. I want to help them all," he started and looked down at his chest, hand hovering slightly above it. "I can't explain it...but it's more than a want. It's a need, it's like I need to help them," he explained, then quickly moving onto the next reason. "I also did it because I've experienced first hand, the kind of tragedy that hybrids have to go through," he added, looking back up. "We all know that it's near impossible for two hybrids to have children," he cast a glance at Nikolas. "We know that hybrids don't only get the perks of the animal, but also the faults. Kai, you molt every year-completely bald, remember?" He asked and Kai flushed, looking away. Molting wasn't his favorite topic.
"Ty can't have dairy, he can hardly see during the day, and he can't taste anything sweet. Poor Ty is missing out on ice cream! That's not fair. Niko can't eat meat without getting really sick," Norman reminded, gesturing back to Nikolas, who nodded slightly. It wasn't a very well known fact, but Nikolas was actually a vegan, not exactly by choice, but he was. "I want to help with the little things as well," Norman explained and looked down again. "As well as the big..." Norman added, mind instantly going to Beau, who couldn't even control himself after shifting. There had to be a way Norman could help him gain control.
He was silent for a moment before clearing his throat and looking back up. "I also want to help with things like diseases, and well...I wanted to make my mother's legacy worth remembering as something good, instead of something terrible. I thought that if I could make this...New Wings, with her money, a lab like her's was supposed to be, maybe I could make it worth remembering," Norman finished explaining, looking down again as he gently tapped the edge of the table with his fingers.

OoC :: Oh wow. That was fun to read through.
Yeah! And I just realized, I've create a total of 7 new characters... oops. Except I love them all so fun and they are all so amazing!
IC :: "... Do you know who is the inside person that told all of you this? Are you sure that person isn't just... I dunno, messing around big time? That Ives just got this bad long headache recently? And that he'll be okay really?" She was worried about Ives and really hoping this whole thing was fake. Plus... her mom had the disease as well, she was sure of it.

OOC: 7? Who are they all?
IC: Maverick watched carefully as she just threw her items into her room to deal with later. He actually found it more concerning that she didn't have her usual hateful tone when she spoke about the Feles wolves and their mother. He never thought he'd rather that tone over her voice as it was as she spoke now. "No, there's only me. I called you first, and I'm going to call Beau and the others soon," he said to his sister with a frown. He wanted to get everyone as settled as he could before tracking down his next siblings one by one. He figured it might be easier to do it that way.

OOC Yep, Kai molts (he doesn't leave much during molting season, there's at least a week in between him loosing all his feathers and gaining new ones, where he's pretty much bald, during molting season, Kai's a big fan of hats, head wraps, hoodies, pretty much anything like that.)
And on top of all that, Ty's lactose intolerant and Niko's a vegan. What's next on "fun facts with the Walters?"
Also I really liked writing that because we get to dive deeper into unmasked Norman, the brothers dynamic, and why Norman did this anyways.
IC Klause paused. He did know, at least the name. But he wasn't allowed to share that information anymore. Norman had been pretty strict about that. So he chuckled. "You should ask Norman that. I messed up a little bit ago, and since then, I'm not actually allowed to talk about these things. Makes sense, I wouldn't trust me to talk freely either," he explained, leaving it at that as he continued. "But believe me, no one is messing with us. Norman trusts this person and he had this weird thing where he like, knows if someone is lying, it's kinda creepy. So I'd say we're good to believe this is real."

OoC :: words
IC :: "Why me first?" Shiva asked carefully, looking up at her brother. Emotion splayed on it now, concern, worry, likely a little annoyance at least. Ignore the fact a close friend of hers was dying at the moment, ignore that the disease he had her mother had as well. Act normal, casual, as if she didn't want to be here but came anyway. She could try to do that. She could absolutely try to do that.
=-=
"Ah... I see..." Shiva had almost forgotten about Norman's ability. She just wanted the chance that they were actually okay, and this was a weird form of the cold or something. "Right, I recall him to seemingly know everything....it'd freaky- but.... but as long as he helps find the cure- if anyone does for that matter..."

IC "We will," Klause said stubbornly, stopping as they reached the break room. "Ah! Here we are. Uh, let's see. There's usually coffee brewing, we have ice cream in the mini freezer, food in the fridge, other stuff in the cupboards, and we've got some snacks in the vending machine," he said and rifled through his pockets until finding a five dollar bill and putting it down on the counter. "And that's for the vending machine. Now, you lot stay here, I have work to do," Klause said as he walked out, leaving Shiva, Beau, Thaddeus, and Boston Waldo alone in the break room.

IC: Maverick honestly got even more concerned when her face changed to show a maze of emotion. He though had no idea why. At least, he thought he did, but it obviously wasn't what it actually was. At her question he shrugged. "Well, you're my sister, and you're my youngest sibling," he said. It was mostly that, and because he was really worried about her the most of his siblings. Her and Beau together, seeing as they both had serious problems, but he felt that maybe Beau might be able to handle being away from home just a little longer.

OoC :: I have to go to bed soon.
IC :: There went trying to ask him any more questions. Still, she was a little unnerved by everyone here- that worked that, that is. She moved to a seat quietly with a frown, eyes looking down at the ground in large concern. SHe folded her hands together and crouched a lot basically without looking at the others for the moment.
--
Shiva gave a small laugh on accident. Sticking out her tongue gently in a technically impolite manner. "Says the middle child- who doubles as oldest. Sheesh, I'm younger than you by probably just a few hours. Hmph," she said crossing her arms, before slumping a little more realizing that she shouldn't really be in a genuinely happy and teasing mood. But still, it was true- the only sister of the five siblings and the youngest pretty much sucked.

OOC Alright Creamy.
IC Once Klause left, Boston Waldo went to see what was in the fridge. He was anxious and needed comfort food. Thaddeus had left as soon as Klause had, deciding to do some snooping, and Beau, well he walked over to sit by Shiva, hands in his lap. "...This is a lot to take in, isn't it?" He asked, glanced over at Shiva. He had no idea what to expect next, this was all a lot to take in.

OOC: Sure Creamy! Also yeah Smoreo Ill rp with ya! Anyone in particular you wanna use?
Also sorry this is pretty short.
IC: Maverick couldn't help but smile and chuckle when she seemed to cheer up quite a bit. "I might be only a couple minutes or hours older then you, but that's old enough. I look years older so that has to count," he argued a lot more lightheartedly. Technically he was still the oldest responsible child there so...

IC: Mason padded toward the park where he and his lovely wife were meeting. He was still wearing the suit from work. It was very shortly after he had finished his shift that he'd called Amari to see if they could meet up. Luckily she was just about finished too so they decided it would be a good idea to meet up at the park. He didn't say it on the phone but he was thinking of suggesting that they could go out for dinner. Have a 'date'.
